When Jealousy Turns Into Hate, Things Go Chaos

Authors Note: Hi everyone, well the people who read this anyway. So, I decided that I will finally post my story. I know many of you must have read some stories like this, if you haven't there are a few which are very good one present in my favorites go and check them out, but this is just my take. There are many stories about Percy getting betrayed and becoming all powerful by joining Chose army, if you haven't read them then just search Chaos stories and you will find them. I just feel that many of those stories don't do justice to the fact how he got betrayed or how everyone realized their mistake or the fact how the people who were the cause of this got away with it without any punishment. So, I tried to do my best by keeping those points in mind. So, if you feel like it you can read. Just read the first chapter and if you don't like it you can leave it, but if you do like it please review. This is my first story so please no flames.

Summary: He fought in the second titan war but not for the gods. No, he fought for the friends he made at camp, his home. He fought for the friends who soon became family. In the second giant war he fought again for his family, his home but also for the new home he found, and the new friends he made. They won battles side by side. But all of this to only be told that he was a liar, a betrayer and an attention seeker. He left thinking that that's what's best for everyone. But what will happen when there is a new threat to his family, his home? Will his love for them bring him back? Or will their betrayal be the cause of their destruction?

When Jealousy Turns Into Hate, Things Go Chaos

Sometimes being a little jealous is okay. But when that jealousy turns you, makes you think that the person is just bragging about themselves and are not worth the honor they are getting. Then that jealousy has turned into hatred. That hatred makes you do things that could even harm your family, your friends and even the people you love. Often times there are people who say things to you that will increase the hatred or jealousy you have towards someone. Some of you might be thinking that how me, Percy Jackson became so wise. Well I think it must be the side effect of hanging out with Athena and all the other gods and goddesses for the past three years. Let me guess your next question - why I am hanging out with the gods and goddesses for the past three years of my life?

Well you see the above reference I made of jealousy and hatred was well to point out a certain part of my life. To be more specific the last three years of my life. And now you may be thinking what happened that made me live my life with the Olympians?

I think I should begin from the start of it all.

~Flashback~

It all started two months before my 18th birthday, the day when he arrived. Annabeth and I were sitting below Thalia's tree when all of a sudden the weather started to change, lightening strike it started to rain pretty much like the night when I had fought the Minotaur and arrived at camp with an unconscious Grover. We were chatting that the Olympians must be fighting about something when suddenly I heard the battle cry of a certain monster. It was the Minotaur who was following a boy about my age, may be one or two year smaller. The boy had a scared expression on his face and was screaming in our direction for help. I uncapped riptide and rushed forward to fight the monster.

Well, to say that the monster was angry to fight with me was an understatement since this will be the third time, I have to fight the stupid bull man. Anyways I fought him and sent him back to Tartarus. I turn back to the boy who was standing behind me with a shocked expression on his face. I walked over to him and said "Hi, I'm Percy Jackson. What's your name?"

He said "Hi my name is Broody Moon. What was that thing that chased me here?"

We started walking towards the hill as I said "That was the Minotaur" he turned towards me and said "like the one in the Greek myths?"

"Yep, that's the one".

"You mean that the monsters from the myths are real?"

"Yes, and so are the gods".

Okay, now that's crazy, was what he had said. We reached the top of hill and I found out that he had a great knowledge about Greek mythology. He asked me "Who is that?" while pointing towards Annabeth. I turned to him and was going to tell him when I was interrupted by the same person in question.

"Seaweed brain, who is that?" she asked as she walked towards us. I turned to him and saw him turn towards her put his hand out and said "Hi, I am Broody Moon". I turned towards him and said "And this is my girlfriend Annabeth Chase."

We took him to the big house where Chiron and Mr. D sat. When they saw us coming Chiron got up from his chair and came towards us. After the introduction Chiron said that he had a powerful smell which was almost same as me. Suddenly there was a gasp from Annabeth and as I turned towards her, I saw what had caused it. Above Broody's head glowed the green trident symbol of Poseidon. I had a brother.

Well the news of arrival had spread fast and Chiron made Drew from the Aphrodite cabin to take Broody for a tour of camp. Later that night I went to sleep with my brother but little did I know that I won't be so happy later on.

~Flashback ends~

The next one month passed by with ease and we were all happy with how this summer was going on. Broody and sometimes had little fights like brothers but nothing too serious. But according to Annabeth he was just jealous that I was getting so much attention. So, I left that matter un harmed. Though as the month started to end, the fights started to occur more often. I knew it what was happening but I couldn't do anything to stop it. At the end of that month the camp was divided into two groups. One was the people who were loyal to me and the other was the one that were on Broody's side since they also like him thought that I was treated like royalty who did nothing.

But as the month continued and my birthday got closer and closer, I started to lose my friends. When Broody realized that he could not get my friends by his stupid logic of jealousy he started to frame me for the things I didn't do.

Even the people who had come to this month's visit were also starting to believe him as he started framing me. (Fun fact after the giant war we, meaning both the camps, decided that every alternate month one camp's people who wanted would go to the other for a visit. This month it was Camp Jupiter's turn to visit Camp Half-Blood.) So, they also started going onto his side because I said that they are stupid and can't fight.

So, like this every one started leaving me. Till one week before my birthday I had no one but Grover who could feel my emotions and tell that I wasn't doing any of those things because of the Empathy link, Annabeth because she knew I wouldn't say or do those things ,Nico cause he was the underworld and was not here to see all this ,and last but not the least the huntress of Artemis.

But in that week Annabeth was not even talking to me and I don't know why I had this feeling something bad was going to happen. The day of my birthday arrived and I still remember the day like it was yesterday.

~Flashback~

I was woken up by Annabeth. "Percy! Percy! Wake up!" I reluctantly woke up. She said "Dress up and meet me in the Amphitheater". I showered and got out of my cabin and started walking towards the Amphitheater. As I waked people stared at me and whispered behind my back. But I didn't pay attention to it because they had been doing it behind my back since the fight between me and Broody started that separated the camp in two groups. But as I reached amphitheater, I saw what all the fuss was about. A very pissed off Poseidon was standing there. I didn't know what to do so I kept walking and came in front of him.

"Hi Dad." I said. He kept looking at me like I was nothing but a piece of garbage and that's when I knew that something bad was going to happen. But I calmed my mind and asked him "What are you doing here?"

"What am I doing here?" he asked me and I nodded. He looked at me in disbelief and continued "You know I didn't believe Broody at first when he told me that you have become an arrogant jerk but what you did last night and the way you are acting now has proven me wrong." I was shocked at the what he was talking about. So, I did what a normal person would do in this kind of situation and I asked him "What are you talking about father?"

He looked as if I had just asked him something that was obvious. Then a look of rage came in his eyes and he yelled "What am I talking about?! I can't believe you. Last night you tried to kill Triton and almost succeeded but Broody stopped you. He told me himself that at night he saw you sneak out of the cabin so he followed you and when he saw that you were trying to kill my son, he stopped you and you fled from the scene when the guards came. And now you are acting as if you didn't do anything. I know you want to be the most powerful son of Poseidon and be the heir to my throne but trying to kill my son, I can't believe you!" I looked at him in shock. I was in my cabin last night because I had felt that something was going to happen.

Dad continued "You know it makes me feel ashamed to even call my son now. As I am a god and since I am connected to you

I am taking away all your titles and I am disowning you as a son and you will no longer be able to use your powers. I am giving all those titles to my only demigod son alive and that is Broody since he saved my son from you." With that said he vanished away and I stood there in shock. I wanted to cry but I remembered why I here in the first place. I continued to go to the Amphitheatre and when I reached their what I saw was what made heart break. Annabeth was kissing Broody. I walked towards them and they must have heard me because they separated and looked at me with smiles on their faces as if they wanted me to see that little scene.

"Why?" I asked Annabeth and she looked at me and said something I never thought I would hear coming from her mouth. She said "Because I know you were cheating on me with Drew, I saw you the other day in the forest. That was when I knew that you were just using me. And anyway, I liked the guy I thought you were but after watching you for the past month I have found out that you are not the guy I thought you were. Also after hearing what you did I know that you are not the guy I thought you were. So, I called you here to tell you that I am breaking up with you."

I looked as they walked away holding hands and people cheered them on. My legs gave away and I fell on my knees and cried for a long time. After sometime I felt someone putting their arms around me. I turned around in shock and found lady Hestia look at me in sorrow.

"What did I do to deserve all this hatred?" I asked her. She just held out her arms and I cried as she held me in her arms. After I calmed down, she asked me what was I going to do. "I am leaving camp. I can't stay here with them treating me like shit and even if I stayed where would I live since Poseidon disowned me?"

But before she could answer there was a flash of light and when it vanished lady Athena was standing in its place. She looked at me with a neutral expression and I thought I was going to be incarnated on the spot. But what she did surprised me the most, she came forward and when I thought she was going to slap me, she gave me a warm hug. This was something I never expected lady Athena to do.

"The council has asked me to bring you to Olympus. And don't worry, Poseidon is not there." I couldn't speak so I just nodded my head, with that there was a flash of light and I was standing in front of the Olympians who were all giving me sympathetic looks even, Hades and Zeus.

Then all of a sudden, they all climbed down from their throne and came to hug me one by one, even Hera. To say I was shocked was the understatement of the year.

After they all settled down lady Hestia allowed me to sit at the step of her throne.

"We all saw what has happened with you for the past month. The way your friends left you, the way they all treated you. Everything. And we have come to a decision that we want to punish the person who is behind all of this. Broody is going to get a punishment that you choose for him since what he did has affected you." I was shocked after hearing all of this. But I couldn't bring myself to agree to that.

"Lord Zeus, with all due respect I appreciate what you all are trying to do here but I don't think I can do that. What he did was because he was a little jealousy of the attention people were giving me. And this is exactly what he said to Nico, when he asked why Broody was doing this. I don't want to punish him and I also request you to not do so too."

"But what are you going to do now?"

"I don't want to leave camp because it is my home but I can't stay there either since I don't have a cabin to live in."

Lady Hera cleared her throat to catch our attention. "If you don't mind can I talk to Perseus alone for a minute?" And glared at everyone who was daring to say no.

After they all left, she shrank down to human height and came towards me.

"If you don't mind may I ask you a question, but I want it to be asked in the presence of your mother." I just nodded.

After we arrived at my mom's apartment and explain all that had happened. She came forward and hugged me and I cried in her arms not caring that a goddess was watching me.

"Oh! Percy, it will be alright honey" she said but I replied "You said that I was a good person then why does stuff like this happen to me mom?"

When we went back to Olympus everyone was waiting for us to return. Hera told them that she had made me her champion and due to that I can stay in her cabin when I am at camp. Later all the gods said that whenever I felt like it, I can come to Olympus and spend time with them. After all they are my family.

~Flashback~

So it's been three years to that day and I have been spending a hell lot of time with the Olympians. But I still came to camp to meet Chiron. Today is my 21st birthday and I am at my mom's apartment because I can't stay at camp today. It's just a horrible reminder of what happened three years back. I got up and got dressed and got out of my room. I went to the kitchen and greeted mom and Paul and when I reached to give Estella a kiss on her forehead she said in her baby voice "Happy birthday big bro" I couldn't be any more happy. Mom and Paul wished me happy Birthday as well and told me that they had planned the whole day for me. It was just going to be me, mom, Paul and Esty. But as we were having breakfast there was a sudden flash of light and when it vanished, I was at Olympus but something was different.
