Kagome was asleep in the hut; it was early morning when they arrived back. The roosters had not even woken yet.

Inuyasha was pacing outside the old woman's hut. Kikyo came into view first, then Mirkou, and then his brother.

"Did you find anything?" He asked as Kikyo came up; she was about six months along now. "This book shall help you and I,"

"And Kagome?"

Miroku pointed his staff at the demon behind him. "Him,"

Inuyasha looked between Sesshomaru and Miroku, then back at Kikyo. "Him?"

"The only way they are to make it is with his control and power,"

"No one said anything about dying!" Inuyasha bit out,

"Inuyasha, she has holy power; the babe inside her will have demonic power," His wife told him.

"Yeah, but as the bastard always says, half demon, half power,"

"That still may be true, but it is two fighting forces," Miroku pointed out,

"And there is still no promise his power will be enough; the jewel may cause a whole set of problems outside of our own hands," Kikyo added,

As insulting as it was to his power, he knew the woman was right; who knew what the jewel would do? "It is still early if she doesn't miscarry-" Sesshomaru spoke,

"Yeah, you would like that, wouldn't you," Inuyasha spit out,

Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes,

"Hey, we didn't bring him back so you two could fight," Miroku pointed out,

"So, now what," Inuyasha asked,

Kikyo sighed. "She needs to go back with him,"

"Go back?" Kagome pulled the sheet away from the door and looked out.

They all turned to look at her,

"Kagome, do you remember what I told you,"

Kagome nodded. "Even still, I am unsure; you have strong holy power, he is a Daiyokai, and you carry the jewel,"

Kagome's eyes land on Sesshomaru,

"Kagome, you, you could still miscarry, or worse," Inuyasha spoke quietly. "Even he can't stop that, his power, his power might not be enough,"

Sesshomaru was getting sick of hearing that.

"What do you think?" She asked him,

"I am here, am I not?"

"Why are you here?" She asked,

"I made a choice to aid you Miko, since you wish to risk your life on it, and It is I who put it there,"

His wording sucked, but she wasn't shocked; there was nothing romantic about this.

"If you and child survive-

"I won't give up my baby!" She snapped, remembering how Tula said he would take his child.

"What you do with the child if it is born is you to you woman,"

In other words, he didn't give a fuck.

She didn't want to go with him, but she knew if she wanted a chance if this baby had any chance, they would need him until birth.

Kagome looked at Kikyo. "I shall check on you as often as I can; when I am unable, I will send the Monk."

Miroku smiled.

But the thought of going alone, with him.

"My Lord," Tula bowed, "Might my mate and I come? She will need company and aid in other areas,"

She figured she was a better choice than the rest of them, but she also knew he had very little reason to say yes.

But actually, he was pleased with the offer.

"Hn, do as you wish,"

Tula smiled and hugged Kagome. "Dont worry, my mate and I are here to help!"

Kagome breathed a little easier, as did everyone else.

The roosters of the village cried out to the sun, and as the village woke, the demons and demoness and one pregnant Miko left.
