In the dim glow of an early Sunday morning, anticipation fills the cramped classroom as everyone waits for the arrival of the bus. Fatigue has settled over the students, rendering them motionless, their energy temporarily stolen by the stillness of the hour.

James, unable to comprehend the reason behind their early start, questions the logic. "Why on earth must we be here at such an ungodly hour? The sun hasn't even peeked its head over the horizon yet."

Logan, accustomed to the routine, sighs and offers an explanation. "That's just the way it is, James. Miss Collins needs to ensure that every single kid from our class is accounted for before embarking on whatever adventure awaits us."

Moaning in protest, James can't help but voice his disapproval. "But it's too early for this torture," he whines, his voice laced with exasperation.

Rolling his eyes at James's dramatic display, Logan chooses to remain silent, uninterested in wasting energy on fruitless complaints.

Meanwhile, Carlos, bursting with uncontrollable excitement, exclaims, "I can hardly contain myself! Can you feel it too? The promise of endless amusement awaits us, my friends!"

In response, Kendall, sharing Carlos's enthusiasm, nods vigorously. "Yes, Carlos, I'm brimming with excitement. I can already envision the unforgettable moments and the laughter that awaits us."

Unable to contain his fervor, Carlos begins to buzz around the stifling classroom, filling the air with his infectious energy. "Fun, fun, fun!" he joyfully exclaims, leaving a trail of exhilaration in his wake.

Interrupting Carlos's playful frenzy, Miss Collins, ever the voice of reason, gently requests his compliance. "Carlos, my dear, slow down a bit, won't you? Safety first, remember?"

Offering reassurance to their concerned teacher, Kendall comforts her. "Don't worry, Miss Collins. Carlos will be fine. He was so excited that sleep eluded him last night. Hopefully, the rhythmic motion of the bus will lull him into a peaceful slumber."

As the sun begins its ascent, casting the first rays of light into the classroom, the students eagerly await the arrival of the bus that will transport them to a day filled with thrills and unforgettable memories.

When the bus comes at 5:30 a.m., everyone places their bags in the storage compartments beneath the bus and brings whatever they want with them. As each student climbs in, Miss Collins takes a head count*. Many pupils fall asleep immediately, while others use their phones to entertain themselves.

Carlos is still a bouncing ball in his seat.

"Carlos remember what our agreement was?" You are welcome to sit next to me if you promise to remain calm. Please do it now. Ok?" Logan expresses himself.

"I sincerely apologize, Logan." I'm ecstatic. I'll relax." Carlos says this as he takes out his handheld game.

Katie is headed towards her seat next to Tyler when she hears snickering from behind her. "What's so funny?" She enquires.

"You're going to sit next to a boy." "Why not sit with some girls?" Brittany enquires.

"Because you never let me sit with you guys in class." Why does it upset you that I'm seated next to a boy? He's a good friend of mine. Tyler is his name. "Why aren't you sitting with the boys?" Katie reacts.

"Because all the older guys are up front." Especially BTR. "The blond is adorable." Brittany says.

"Ok. That's my brother, and you know it. And simply keep away from him and the other three." Katie says.

"Why? You do not have ownership over them." Brittany explains.

"Look, I'm not sure what your problem is with me, but just leave me alone." Ok?!" Katie begins to walk away, but Brittany trips her and laughs with her crew.

Jesse, a teenager, assists her. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah thanks." Katie states.

"No worries. I'll accompany you to your seat. Mine is close by." Jesse offers kindly.

"Thanks that's really kind of you." Katie replies as they make their way to the back of the bus.

"Are you okay, Katie?" I'm sorry I wasn't able to help you. It all happened so quickly." Tyler expresses concern.

"Don't worry, Tyler. This is Jesse. He assisted me." Katie states.

"Hey Jesse," Tyler greets with a grin.

"Why hello there! You, my friend, are quite the impressive little bundle of awesomeness. I've seen you rocking those juice box commercials. Truly mind-blowing!" Jesse exclaims.

"Wow, I appreciate that," Tyler responds, pleasantly surprised.

"It's my pleasure," Jesse replies with a warm smile.

"Hey Jesse, why don't you join the ranks of the cool kids?" Brittany interjects.

Jesse smirks confidently. "Well, I believe I'm already there."

Brittany, displaying her frustration, rolls her eyes and promptly reverts her attention to her seat.

"She really knows how to irk me," Katie complains.

Jesse chuckles and explains, "Well, she happens to be my neighbor."

Katie exclaims apologetically, "Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that!"

Jesse joins in the laughter, saying, "Don't worry, we're all in the same boat here." They share a lighthearted moment together, forming a bond.

The bus eventually begins to move. Everyone is peaceful and quiet for nearly 2 hours. Private conservations appear when the sun rises.

Miss Collins begins to serve fruit for breakfast* Later that afternoon, they arrive at the lodging which is a large cabin. Because they are a huge group, they are given the largest suites in the building.

Giggles comes out of Katie's book bag by accident; she hastily picks him up, hoping no one notices, but Brittany and her gang do.

"Did you bring your stuffed animal?" Wow, you're strange and a baby!" Snatches it from her grasp. "I wonder how this would look with some permanent marker."

"Give him back!" Katie screams.

"Oh, it's a he?" Do you believe he's real? "How pitiful." Brittany smirks.

"Give Giggles back now!" Katie insists.

"Giggles? What kind of idiot gives a stuffed monkey the name Giggles? What a stupid name." Brittany laughs.

"Why are you so cruel?! Please return my monkey!" Katie states.

"Loser! Everyone, look at the baby, she needs a stuffed animal to keep her secure at night." Brittany exclaims and laughs with her friends, but others of her classmates just stare, unsure what to do.

"Hey! "What's going on over there?" Kendall is enraged.

"Oh my goodness, it's Kendall Knight from Big Time Rush!" "I'm your biggest fan!" Brittany says as she tries to look cute by fixing her hair.

"No BTR fan is going to bully my sister!" Now, return Giggles and leave her alone!" Kendall says this while giving her a serious, harsh look.

Brittany is obedient.

"Now apologize to her!"

"I'm sorry Katie." As she walks away, Brittany says.

"Is everything alright, darling sister?" Kendall inquires, genuine concern etched in his voice.

Katie, her emotions teetering on the edge, musters a brave front and responds, "Yeah, I'm alright," her voice trembling ever so slightly as she battles back the tears.

Sensing her distress, Logan tries to console her, assuring, "Please don't cry, Katie. The ordeal is now behind usFrustrated and hurt, Katie lashes out, her words laced with betrayal, "You deceived me! Just go away and leave me be!"

Unaware of the unfolding drama, James queries in a perplexed tone, "What just happened? Why is she so furious with you, Logan?"

Sharing the same tone of confusion, Carlos adds, "Indeed, it's baffling. What did you do to upset her so?"

Logan's heart sinks as he realizes the gravity of his mistake, the weight of guilt crushing his spirits. "Oh, my goodness, I understand now. Yesterday, while we were packing, she showed hesitation in including Giggles. I reassured her that bringing him along was nothing to be ashamed of, reminding her vehemently that it did not make her any less of a grown-up. But some hurtful comment must have hit her, leaving her feeling ashamed. I deeply regret my actions."

"There's nothing to worry about, Logan." It's not your fault. We can solve this." Kendall states.

"Brittany, if you and your friends act inappropriately on this trip, you won't be able to enjoy it, and there are going to be consequences." Understood?" Miss Collins states.

"Yes ma'am." Brittany says.

"Good. Now proceed upstairs with the rest of the class so I can explain which room you'll all be staying in." Miss Collins explains.

On the third floor.

"You've all been assigned rooms, and I expect you to stay in them on time. You can now visit each other, but there will be restrictions. You should be used to curfews by now. I'm sure your parents gave them to you when you were younger. So, the same respect that you show them, you will show here. Perhaps we can take more fantastic field excursions like this in the future." They are given their room keys. We're all going to the dining room downstairs for dinner at 8:00 p.m. Get settled and don't leave this floor till then." Goes to her room.
