"Chuck."

" Dean. "

Chuck pats the spot next to Him on the bench. Dean sits down and blows out a sigh.

"Here." Chuck passes Dean a hotdog. "Just brought them they are fresh."

Dean glanced at the hotdog cart.

"God has to pay?"

"One way I can help my creations without getting too actively involved." Chuck bites into the hotdog and swallows. "It is not going to affect his path or cause a ripple in time or anything. Sooooo...You made your decision?"

"I have some questions." Dean takes a deep breath. "About Sam."

Chuck turns His full body around to face the hunter.

"I'm listening."

"What if...what if Sam doesn't want to come back?"

Dean already knew Sam's decision but decided to keep that to himself he wanted to know what Chuck's response would be first.

Chuck laughed at the question.

"Dean of course Sam will want to come back. What kind of question is that?"

" But what if he doesn't what if he says no. "

"He won't." Chuck smiled. "I'm sure."

" Alright humor me." Dean sighed. "Lets just say it did happen Sam doesn't want to come back, what happens then?"

Chuck shakes His head.

"We don't need to go into something that will never happen Dean. No need to stress yourself out."

"I just want to know all my options."

"Options?"

"Yeah I like to know where I stand in all this."

Chuck puts His half eaten hotdog down and frowns at the hunter.

"Dean, I explained the deal to you I told you what you and your brother would get out of this. You trust me right?"

"Uh yeah of course."

"Then why are you acting like this? Asking these ridiculous questions."

"Well Sam has lived his life, he met someone, had kids, had grand kids he has lived his life and made peace with it why would he wanna do all that again?"

"Because this time you will be there by his side." Chuck nods.

"I...I don't know."

" Dean Sam is your brother he will not say no when it regards you trust me I know cuz after all I'm God I know everything." He said sounded smug.

"Why don't we ask him? See what he says rather than making assumptions. I mean...his opinion also matters in right?"

"It does you are right but I am God I know everyone here I know that Jimmy Morris over there is cheating behind his wife's back I know that Olivia Popkins over by the ice cream truck has a secret fetish for feet...they..." He grimaced . "They remind her lolly pops I know weird but I guess it does go with her unique character she is quite flamboyant as well..."

"Chuck?" Dean frowns. "Where are you going with this?"

"I know your brother I know you I know your traits, secrets, decisions I know what goes on in your mind how do you think I wrote the books I had to explore my characters. I know that you and Sam always keep sacrificing yourselves and bringing each other back you never give up on each other no matter what. Having a family will not change that nothing changed when you were with Lisa and when Sam was with Amelia so why would it change now hmm? I know that Sam misses his brother terribly he is not happy Dean he feels alone." He sighs. "He just wants to go back to the old days when it was him and you on the road in Baby much simpler times." Chuck shakes His head. "Right now Dean you are disrespecting his wishes."

Dean felt like he received a slap to the face with that comment.

"There's never been Sam or Dean it has always been Sam and Dean even death cannot keep you both separate you both always find your way back to each other." Chuck continued oblivious to Dean's reaction. "The Dean I know would take this deal without hesitation. So what's or should I say who is stopping you from doing what is right!"

God narrows His eyes at the hunter. Dean was stunned. Castiel told him what Sam has said was Cas lying to him?

No!

Why would Cas lie about something like this? Earlier Cas fully supported the decision and now Cas has started to show some doubts about the Big Man if an angel is doubting God then you know something is wrong.

Then could Sam be lying? Was he just shrugging it off not wanting to sound desperate? Did he deep down really want to go back to his brother alive? Surely...Surely God couldn't be lying here surely Chuck wouldn't lie about something so important to Dean Chuck is offering a deal of a life time Dean should take it.

Yet Dean's gut instinct told him something different it told him not to trust this deal and not to trust Chuck something did seem off about the whole thing. The way Chuck was currently behaving it didn't sit right with Dean.

"The witch." Chuck suddenly sighed. "Of course I shouldn't be surprised he expressed his displeasure towards the offer when I first made it. Dean." Chuck gave him a stern look. "Don't trust him, he is messing with you that witch runs a poker game he knows how to get into your head he knows to manipulate his opponents he is doing all this so you are stuck with him the poor guy is desperate for company and he is dragging you down with him."

"No." Dean disagreed. "Patrick wouldn't do that you said yourself he has become a better person."

God shakes His head His expression is worried. Then his eyes widen.

"He is going to stop you, he is going to stop this deal from happening. If anything happens to the Mark." He grits His teeth. "We are all in trouble! Dean you have to do it!"

"Do what?"

"Do what needs to be done!" Chuck nods. "You have to kill him."

Dean's eyes widen.

"What no! No Chuck!"

"I know you saw him as a friend but he is a witch and a dangerous witch he is past saving. Dean I am so sorry."

"Look Chuck there has to be another way."

"None of this would have happened if he was never involved." Chuck snapped. "He is trying to ruin everything for us." Now God looked furious. "I can't have that. That's not how the story goes!"

Chuck leans forward and grasps Dean's shoulder. He looks the hunter directly in the eye. Dean tried to pull away but Chuck's hold is strong. Dean couldn't turn his face away from God he couldn't do anything his body was frozen.

"There's no other way Dean if this deal fails the Darkness will be released and the world will be destroyed. You need your brother whether you like it or not you can't live alone Dean no no no that's not how it works we need to get things up and running again and to do that we need to take care of the witch. Patrick needs to die Dean you need to kill him. The Dean I know will do anything to get his brother...anything he will not anything or anyone get in his way. Right?"

Dean slowly nods. His face tight. All the doubts and questions has been washed away from his mind and replaced with one thought.

Bring his brother back.

"You're right." Dean said his voice flat with no emotion.

Chuck grins.

"Now you see it I almost thought I lost you there now this is why I never let my characters take charge in stories nope imagine the damage that can cause. Hmm it seems I have let this gone on way too long I should have put a stop to it sooner." Chuck grimaced. "Oh well it is going to be sorted out everything is going to be okay. The Winchesters will be back together again."

"Chuck." Dean frowns. "What about the spell?"

"Get Patrick to do the spell first then kill him." He ordered. "By the way do you have someone who will take the Mark?"

Dean again slowly nods.

"Cas."

Chuck's grin widens.

"Excellent now..." Chuck claps His hands. "Let's get to work now shall we? Pray to me once you are ready okay?"

"Got it Chuck nice and clear."

Chuck smirks and nods.

"I'll see you around Dean."

Seconds later God vanished.

Patrick was interrupted by knocking on the door. The witch closes a book he was reading and stands up. He goes to the door and looks through the hole. He sighs with relief when he sees it is Dean. Patrick opens the door and smiles.

"So what's the update?"

Then the witch suddenly goes quiet when Dean gets out a gun and aims it at him.
