Hi Readers: My apologies for starting over again, but I felt like I didn't like where that story was headed; and, I was also running out of ideas. So, I have decided to try something else. I hope you guys like this story. However, this will just be an info post to start.

Story Information

This is a story about a family. Though, you will never be able to say that this is a normal family; due to the fact that the family tree is a real mess. Stepmothers-turned-mistresses. Daughters, who are really granddaughters; half-sisters, who are really your own daughter and niece. Add in a business and other craziness, then you really have a recipe for a disaster. But, that's precisely what the Halstead family is right now: a disaster. However, this author has no intention of telling you why; not when you can read along instead readers. But first, how about we introduce our characters? The characters whose lives you will follow as you read about their life.

Jay Halstead – Chairman and CEO of Halstead, the Family Company; Army Veteran, and eldest son of Patrick & Nadine Halstead
To say that Jay found love in an unconventional way would be an understatement: he found love not with a woman outside of his family, but with his very own stepmother, Alexandra (Jacobs) Halstead. And as much as he tried to stay away and not fall for her, the forces between them were just too strong; resulting in: them having an affair, and Alex getting pregnant with his child. Their beautiful baby girl Bella Jayne Halstead, on September 21st, 2018; one week prior to her grandfather, Patrick's death. Now, she's being raised by her parents Jay and Alex, who are also secretly newlyweds due to the fact that they aren't ready to advertise the fact that they had an affair, while his father was sick and dying. Though, that secret may not stay secret for long; especially not when Alex's new husband is the head of the family company. But, at the end of the day, all's fair in love and more; right? Following along in their journey as they deal with the after effects of Jay getting his then-stepmother pregnant and then marrying her; while also dealing with the PTSD from his time overseas, when he serviced his country as a member of the Illinois National Guard.

Alexandra Halstead – Lingerie Model at Halstead; Widow of Patrick Halstead, Wife of Jay Halstead, mother of Bella Halstead
They came out of nowhere: the feelings she has for Jay, her stepson; but never in a million years did she see herself ever having an affair with him, let alone falling in love with him…and then it happened. She fell in love with Jay, and they started an affair, which led to her getting pregnant with their child, her husband's grandchild. However, that didn't mean that she told her then-much older husband Patrick the truth about her child's paternity. Rather, she kept that a secret due to the fact that he was dying; something which his son (and the true father of her child) understood. After all, he's still his son and didn't want him to be in too much pain while he was dying. So, as far as her late husband was concerned, he was Nadine's father; when, in reality, the truth was that he was her grandfather and only met her once while he was in the hospital. Meanwhile, she was at home with "their" daughter and his son, sleeping in the same bed as him as they started to raise their daughter together. And now, he's her husband. Read along to follow their life as a family.

Bella Jayne Halstead – Daughter of Jay & Alex Halstead, stepdaughter/granddaughter of the late Patrick Halstead
Her grandfather thought it was a miracle when she was conceived, as he thought that he was her father from the moment his wife told him she was pregnant, when the reality is that she's the daughter of Jay and Alexandra Halstead. Though, her parents decided to let her grandfather believe he was her father due to the fact that he was dying; but that didn't mean that everybody was kept in the dark about her true parentage. He knew the entire time: under no circumstances was Bella ever going to be his half-sister, due to the fact that he knew that his father was no longer able to conceive children. The reason? His poor health. Rather, he just knew that his brother was the true father of his "future half-sister" due to the fact that he's caught them in the act before. And while he did tell them that it was a bad idea, he could see just how happy his brother was; so, he decided to just turn a blind eye and not tell his father due to the fact that he was dying. And since he was dying, he thought that this would be a good way for Bella to have a father figure, her real father. However, there is one person he did tell: his fiancé Dr. Natalie Manning.

She was Alex's OB/GYN due to the fact that she's a member of the family. However, she was told to not reveal to her future father-in-law the reality of just who the true father of their child was. In order words, she was sworn to secrecy by her own patient and future sister-in-law. And that's precisely what she did for the sake of her future father-in-law's health, she kept the secret until he died. And now, she feels relieved that she doesn't need to hold the secret in anymore. Rather, she can live her life with her future husband and her son with her late husband, Owen Manning.
