Raw: October 28, 2013

Randy sat in a chair in my office, playing with our son. "My parents said Al is doing good. What match do I have tonight?"

I nod. "That's good. You actually don't have a match tonight."

Randy raised an eyebrow at me. "Why not?"

"You have a championship celebration tonight."

"Does Cena get one too since he won the World Heavyweight Championship last night?"

"No."

"Oh, I take it Stephanie and Paul wanted to do this."

"It was actually my idea."

"Why?"

"I can't celebrate with my husband?"

"You can, but I know you. You like celebrating in private, more along the lines of what we were doing last night. What caused you to want this?"

"Well, the one you had after SummerSlam didn't go very well. That was partially because of me. I want to try to make things up to you."

"I don't hold a grudge towards you for that."

"I know, but let me do this for you."

"Fine, on one condition."

"What's that?"

"I take it you plan on being in the ring with me since this was your idea."

"Yes, that's the plan."

"Then you're not going to just be in the ring with me. I'm only allowing this if you walk down to the ring with me. I want you to be on my arm as I walk down to that ring as the top champion in this company."

"So you want me on your arm like a trophy wife?"

Randy laughs. "That's not how I see you. The way I see things, you and I are equals. You shouldn't be just in the ring as someone who's honoring my championship win. You should be at my side as the love of my life."

I start to tear up. "It's too early in the day for you to get this sentimental on me."

Randy pulls me onto his lap. "It's the truth. Do we have a deal?"

I nod as I take Junior into my arms. "Absolutely. He's getting so big."

"Yeah he is. I'll have to start teaching him about wrestling soon."

I shake my head. "You're setting him up to be trying to wrestle people as a toddler."

"He has to live up to his namesake." Randy kisses Junior's forehead.

I smile as Junior smiles and laughs at Randy. "I think he does that enough by looking just like you. Would Bob tell me that you tried to wrestle people as a toddler if I asked?"

Randy shrugs. "Ask him, and we'll find out."

"I will."

"I'm surprised Brad hasn't come by yet."

"I texted him what I wanted him to do, so he wouldn't come by. You always get pissy when he comes by, which I still don't understand, and I want you to be in a good mood."

"I just don't think he does very well as an assistant. He doesn't know how to not bother you over anything and doesn't seem to get anything done on his own. I don't have an issue with you having an assistant. Hell, I don't have an issue with it being a man, despite that meaning he's around you quite a bit. I just think you deserve a better assistant. Brad sucks at his job."

I sigh. "He really tries, Randy."

"He doesn't do a good job. Can't you find another assistant?"

"Randy, that'd be kinda hard."

"Stephanie and Paul could help with that, but will you stop denying that Brad sucks at his job? Even if he tries, he isn't doing well. I get that your job is stressful, but I think you could find a better assistant."

"What if I make him do more responsibilities for a bit to test how good he is at this job?"

"If you do, he won't live up to the standards you're expecting."

"If he does, will you drop this?"

"Absolutely. Here's what I propose, we set a period of time to test Brad and tell Stephanie and Paul. They can look for candidates to take the position of your assistant as Brad is getting tested. At the end of this period of time, you fire him if he can't handle the responsibility. At the end of the day, I just want the best for you. You can even pick how long this takes. Do we have a deal?"

I nod. "Yes, I'll give it three weeks, starting tonight. If he doesn't pass the test, I'll fire him at the Raw following all of this, which will be on November 18."

"Good." Randy kisses my forehead. "I really just want you to have an assistant that's good at their job."

"I get that, but you've been a bit harsh about it."

"My bad. Do you have plans for who's watching Junior during my celebration?"

"It'll probably be Renee."

"Okay. That's good."

I sat in Paul and Stephanie's office as I waited on Stephanie. Kane had called her out a little bit ago and gave her his mask, seemingly pledging loyalty to the Authority, which I guess I was technically a part of now.

Stephanie walks in with the mask in her hand and closes the door behind her. "What's up?"

I look at her as she walks over to sit across from me. "Did he just offer you his services?"

Stephanie places the mask in the middle of the desk. "He sure did. This could be fun. Hell, maybe you've found your new assistant right here."

I stare at the mask. "He came after me a little over four years ago to get to Randy."

"Do you want an apology? He's changed since then clearly, but I'll tell him that he needs to apologize to you and Randy before anything else."

"Alright, I'll tell Randy about that."

"Good. He could really be your assistant if you accept his apology though."

"We'll see. I don't know if he'd handle it well."

"If you do fire Brad, you could give Kane a trial run and see how it goes."

"Maybe."

"Plus, you'll probably have less issues with the roster because he'd intimidate them."

"Maybe you could sick Kane on Paul Heyman."

Stephanie laughs. "We could do that. Are you really happy with Randy now?"

"We're doing better than we were. There's still small issues that we're working on though. Things are getting better at least. That's why I agreed to this thing with Brad. It was Randy's idea. Randy has insisted I walk out there with him tonight instead of just being out there with you guys because he wants to show me off as the love of his life too. I even got told that he sees us as equals."

"So he's putting in the effort to work on things?"

"One hundred percent. Things aren't perfect, but what marriage is truly perfect anyway?"

"That's a good point. I have small concerns about someone trying to ruin this celebration."

"What names come to your mind?"

"Daniel or Big Show."

"That's crossed my mind too. Since Daniel is more my problem and Big Show is more your problem, how about I'll handle it if it's Daniel and you will if it's Big Show?"

"Agreed, what if someone else does interrupt?"

"Then we'll come to an agreement on how to handle it. Maybe we can get Kane to handle it."

Stephanie chuckles. "Maybe. By the way, your son was very well behaved last night."

"That's good. He's honestly a relatively chill baby most of the time. I'm gonna head off to be with Randy and the baby for a while. I'll see you out there."

"See you out there."

Stephanie, Triple H, and the Shield stood in the ring. Randy and I were holding hands, standing in guerilla. The rest of the roster was on stage.

"It is with great pride right now that I present that man to you, Randy Orton." Triple H says.

I hear voices in my head

They council me

They understand

They talk to me…

Randy and I walk down to the ring together. I clung to his arm. Randy held the ropes for me to enter before following suit. Randy stood on a turnbuckle in the corner and held up the WWE Championship. I smiled as I watched him. He hugged Triple H and Stephanie.

"To all of you Superstars on stage, Randy Orton isn't just our champion. He is everyone's champion." Stephanie tells everyone. "Which specifically means Randy Orton represents all of you. He is what all of you aspire to be. So I'm asking you to show the WWE Champion the respect he so richly deserves."

Randy takes the microphone as the crowd isn't happy. "Having this title, being WWE Champion makes me, simply put, better than you. As a matter of fact, it makes me better than all of you. All of you standing up there on that stage right now, fantasizing about the day you take this title from me. Well, it's not gonna happen. You're either born a success or you're not. Make no mistake. I'm a success, and this is also the Face of the WWE. But it's not only that, it's also the face of your superior. Now, do I make myself clear?"

Well it's the Big Show!
It's a big bad show tonight. (oh baby, come on. oh yeah)
Yeah, it's the Big Show…

I grab onto Randy as the Shield goes after Big Show. However, Goldust, Cody, and the Usos take out the Shield to help Big Show. The roster is fighting on stage. Stephanie and I exit the ring. Triple H and Randy do the same when Big Show runs to the ring. Stephanie holds onto Triple H as I grab Randy.

"I'm not going to let you pay for their problem with him." I mutter.

Randy looks at me. "It'll be fine."

Big Show looks at us. "Is this working? Can you pay the bill for this, huh? Yeah, I know about the restraining order. But you can't expect me to sit by and let all this turn in my stomach. What's the worst that's gonna happen, huh? You gonna have me arrested? You think I don't have friends who can't get me bail?"

Randy walks over to Triple H, and they discuss something. I knew something was up then and worried Randy was going to have to deal with Big Show.

Big Show continues. "You don't get it, do you? My lawsuit is gonna cost you millions of dollars. I don't care if I bankrupt your whole damn throne! I'll take every damn dime! Everything! You think you took from me? I don't care. I have nothing to lose, Hunter!"

Randy slid into the ring and hit Big Show with the WWE Championship. Despite that, I grew concerned quickly. Triple H and Stephanie started yelling orders at Randy as Big Show was starting to stir, and I had to restrain myself from doing anything as it pissed me off a bit. When Randy went to hit Big Show with the WWE Championship again, Big Show knocked Randy out with the KO Punch. It shocked Triple H and Stephanie. I wanted to get Randy out of the ring but knew I couldn't without drawing Big Show's attention, so I just looked on.

Big Show and Triple H stared at each other. Triple H takes his jacket and tie off, but he backs away. Stephanie pulled him to her and stood in front of him. I immediately saw what was going on. They were using Randy to fight in their problem that they wouldn't fight in, and I was pissed. Triple H and Big Show just stared at each other. Big Show exited the ring, and Triple H walked in and stared at him angrily. Randy was starting to get up, so I rushed over to check on him. Stephanie gave Randy a pissed off glare, which I saw, so I sent one at her as this was on her and Triple H, not Randy.

"You okay?" I ask Randy quietly.

Randy nods. "I think I will be."

I try to help him up. "Good. This wasn't your problem to deal with."

"I know, but they wanted me to. I didn't know what else to do."

"Well, the show is over, and they're not even checking up on you. They're already headed up the ramp together. Triple H wouldn't even be in this fight himself. They shouldn't have gotten you involved."

"I can tell you're pissed, but maybe you shouldn't say anything to them since we want them to trust us."

"Stephanie glared at you. I think she's already blaming you for things going the way they did. I won't say anything if they don't say anything and get shitty with you, but if they do, I'm saying something back. Got it?"

"Agreed." Randy fully stood up. "Let's get backstage."

I grab Randy's WWE Championship for him before we exit the ring and slowly head backstage. As soon as we arrived backstage, Stephanie and Triple H gave us stern looks. I immediately grabbed Randy's hand to hold.

Stephanie looks at Randy. "You could've handled this a lot better, you know. You should've handled Big Show."

"You could've handled your own problems, instead of making Randy do it." I responded. "Paul is still in wrestling shape. He could've cleaned up the mess you two made instead of you two making Randy get involved and getting him hurt."

"Last I checked, we're Randy's bosses. And what happened to being on the same page, Marissa?" Stephanie asks with clear anger and an attempt to make me back down from speaking against her.

"Last I checked, my husband got hurt because you two tried to force him to solve your problem. I'm allowed to have an issue with that, and I do have an issue with that. Big Show is getting out of control. As far as I'm concerned, you two find a way to take care of it. Hell, didn't Kane pledge allegiance to you? He's closer in size with Big Show. Maybe ask him to do it. I'm outta here. I'm going to get my son." I shove past Stephanie to leave.

Renee meets me with my son just outside of guerilla. "He's started getting really fussy after seeing Randy get knocked out on TV. I tried to calm him down, but he's still pretty fussy. Sorry."

I take Junior from Renee. "That's alright. He's probably just worried about Randy. This kid certainly does love his dad. I'll get him calmed down. Thanks again for watching him."

"No problem. Catch you later. Bye." Renee starts to walk off.

"Bye." I try to calm Junior down. "He's okay, kid. Your dad is tough. He's okay. I promise."

The baby suddenly goes quiet and looks behind me. I turn to see Randy had just exited guerilla. Junior reaches out towards Randy.

Randy rushes over and takes Junior from me. "I thought Renee was watching him in your office."

"She was." I answer. "He saw you get knocked out on TV and got really fussy. He wouldn't fully calm down, so she tried to get him to us as soon as possible. He didn't calm down until he saw you though."

"Ah, I see. He does care about me. I swear this kid clings to you most of the time."

"He loves you to pieces, and you know it. He may be a little more attached to me, but he loves you just as much."

"Fair enough. I'm okay, little man. Don't you worry."

"I need to go pack up in my office, and you need to change in your locker-room. Who's taking the baby?"

"I got it. Just meet me in my locker-room when you're done."

"Okay." I kiss both Randy and Junior. "I'll see you two in a few."
