Chapter One

October 12, 2018 – Halstead Home, Naperville, Illinois
He made sure that their baby girl was fast asleep before he came out of their room this evening, the father and new husband wanting to ensure that he and his new wife aren't disturbed; after all, it is the day of their wedding. Something which has been over a year in the making, but it just couldn't happen until now for a couple reasons. The biggest one being that his wife was married until a couple weeks ago…to his father. But before we begin, maybe we should just set the scene as to what exactly is happening here; starting with just who the handsome gent/main man in our story is. His name is Jay Halstead, and he is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of his family company: Halstead; the company which his late father used to run, and where they both met Alexandra…the widow of the late Patrick Halstead (Jay's father), and Jay's new wife; as well as the mother of his month-old baby girl, Bella Jayne Halstead. Jayne being spelled with a Y in honor of her father, which is something Jay loves; but not as much as he loves the sight in front of him. And just what sight might that be? Well, it would be his sexy, lingerie model wife standing in the kitchen of their home while looking in the fridge for something that they can have for supper; after all, she told him that she was hungry when they were last in bed with each other…holding each other close as they cuddled as a family for the first time since they got married, which was just incredible.

It was the best feeling in the entire world, as he just loves holding his girls close to him in bed more than anything in the entire world; but, now that he was here and he saw that his wife was cooking rather than just waiting for him to do it…he could only assume that she was hungry, just like Wes was since he was sitting by his bowl in the kitchen; Wes being his service dog for his PTSD (which he has due to the fact that Jay isn't just the Chairman and CEO of his family company, but he's also a military veteran who served his country in Iraq and Afghanistan); so you could say he's more of an emotional support animal/dog than a service dog. But, that's how he's classified; so, he's not going to change the name now. Rather, he's just going to be grateful that he has all of these wonderful people in his life: his sexy wife Alex, their beautiful baby girl Bella Jayne, and his service dog Wes. But right now, he's only going to concentrate on one of those three; and that would be his gorgeous wife, who was really turning him on as she walked over to the stove with some steak and vegetables she must be making. However, what she didn't expect is that she was going to have some help from the man she loves; the man she just married and claimed as hers for the rest of her life, just one month (to the day) after she gave birth to their baby girl. "I have to say, my wife looks pretty sexy in that nice lingerie she's wearing right now. I wonder where she got it."

Turning around to look at her new husband, Alexandra Marie smiled as she extended her hands in order to invite him to make his way over to her; that way, she could get the attention she craves from her loving husband. The man she fell in love with while he was her stepson, only to have a daughter with him and marry him. And let's just say that Alex is so happy that this all worked out the way if was supposed to work out. Though there was some tragedy involved (the death of her husband/Bella's grandfather/Jay's father), she's still quite happy regardless due to the fact that she's happy with the new life that she now has with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world: her husband. Her dreamy, muscular, sexy husband: Mr. Jay Halstead; the man who just walked up to her and placed his hands on her arms so that he could hold her close this evening, which is exactly what Alex wants him to do right now. She wants to have her husband hold her close, as they take it easy and concentrate on each other on their wedding night right now; prior to their little girl stealing their alone time with each other. Alone time, which was going to be quite sexy, especially since her husband was turning her on as he walked around shirtless in these jogging pants that always make her go crazy. "God, I am so glad that I don't need to hold back when you wear these around the house now." Jay smirked as he agreed with his wife tonight.

After which, he placed his hands on her arms and just smiled as he stepped close to her and bent down to kiss the woman he loves softly; while she placed her hands on his abs and just took things nice and slow with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. The man she's been waiting to be with for a very long time, but at least she waited until she did; due to the fact that she knew she could never leave her late husband and just go right to being with his son, as that would be too much. But now, she's free to be with the man she loves as they raise their daughter together. The little girl they both love move than anything, with the exception of each other due to the fact that they truly believe that they are each other's loves of their lives; something which makes her very happy due to the fact that her husband is (1) very sexy, and (2) the best lover she's ever had. In fact, she just knows that they'll always have the best sex in the entire world due to the fact that they just have such great chemistry. But not just sexual chemistry, they have all the chemistry they need to be a happy family for the rest of their lives, which is precisely what they plan on being: her, Jay, Bella, and any other children they may have in the future. But right now, Jay was just going to live in the moment with his gorgeous wife, which included having him open her robe to reveal the sexy lingerie she was wearing for him right now. And damn, did he like it.

He liked it so much, that he went ahead and tugged on her (now open) robe so that he could ask her whether he could take it off, which led to Alex placing her hand on her sexy husband's face and kissing him softly as a way to tease him. "Oh, does somebody want to take off my robe?" Smirking, Jay agreed with Alex as he did want to take off her robe. He wants to take off her robe more than anything, as he'd much rather just have her wear the very sexy lingerie she was wearing for him right now; lingerie which was really turning him on as he stared at her incredible body right now. "Oh, I think we both know that's precisely what I want. I want you to take off your bathrobe so that I can have all of you baby, because that's what I get now…I get all of you, all the time, for the rest of my life." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, prior to stepping close to him and placing her hands on his toned chest; while he moved his hands to her waist inside her robe and just started to take things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams. The woman he loves more than anything in the entire world, who he is very proud to be married to due to the fact that she's a very sexy woman who he loves more than anything. "God, I love you and I am so glad that this is the life we have with each other." Alex agreed, as she felt the same way about him. She's extremely happy over the fact that they have this incredible life with each other, where they're married.

And that was precisely why Jay was smiling so much right now, he was smiling due to the fact that he no longer had to hide his love for his wife; or his craving to place his hand on her side and lean in to kiss her neck, which is precisely what Jay did this evening. He stepped close to his wife, prior to bending down and leaning in to kiss her neck softly; something which led to Alex moaning and placing her hand on the back of his head due to the fact that she's extremely turned on by her husband right now. "God, you are such a turn on and we both know that this is exactly what I want to be doing with you right now Jay." Jay agreed with his wife as she told him that, well aware that was the case as he leaned in and just started to take things nice and slow with each other. "Did you make sure that Bella was asleep when you came out of our room?" Jay agreed with his wife, as he most certainly did make sure that their little girl was fast asleep when he left their room to come out here. "Oh, I most certainly did. I mean, we don't want to be disturbed while we're enjoying a nice supper with each other; ahead of the two of us cuddling up to each other by the fireplace…unless you'd rather we do something else after supper…" Jay said, as he leaned in and kissed his gorgeous wife once more as a way to turn her on; which is precisely what he was doing. He was turning her on and making her very happy due to the fact that she's in paradise.

She finally has the life she's always wanted with Jay: she has their baby girl, they have each other, and they're just enjoying this life they have with each other, which starts with Jay leaning in and kissing her once more, something which always turns her on and makes her very happy. I mean, how can you not be happy when you have the most handsome man in the entire world taking things nice and slow with you as you hold each other close here in the comfort of your kitchen. And let's just say, this truly is everything that the two of them have ever wanted. "God, you are so sexy, and I am more than ready to hold you close to me for the rest of my life." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that. "And speaking of sexy, that's the exact type of time that you're going to get with me next week." Confused, Alex leaned back and looked at the man she loves as he told her that. "Pardon me?" Jay smiled as Alex asked him that question as he placed his hands on her hips once more and just brought her stunning body close to his muscular chest. "I called my PA and told her to cancel all of my meetings next week. I'm a newlywed, and you don't work the week after getting married. You take time off and just concentrate on the woman you love more than anything in the entire world." Alex smiled and agreed with Jay, especially since that's precisely what she wants to have from her husband: his undivided attention on her for a while.

Then again, she can't always have his undivided attention due to the fact that they have a little girl they need to take care of, which is something else the couple plan on doing with each other. That, and they're going to celebrate Alex's first birthday as Ms. Jay Halstead. "Well, that's not everything we're going to do…as there's one more thing we're going to do." Alex was confused as Jay said that. "And what might that be?" Smiling, Jay stepped close to the woman he loves prior to placing his hands on her hips and bringing his body close to her; while she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and just held her husband close. "We're going to celebrate your first birthday." Alex was a bit taken aback when she heard Jay say that. "Last time I checked, I was turning thirty-four this year." Jay smirked as he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves. "Your first birthday as Ms. Jay Halstead." Running her hand down Jay's muscular back, Alex agreed with him as that's precisely what she's going to celebrate in a week: her first birthday as Ms. Jay Halstead. "And my first one as a mom." Jay agreed with his wife as he placed his hands on her body and brought her close to his chest once more. "And what an incredible mother you are baby." Alex smiled as Jay told her that, before leaning in and kissing her dreamy husband softly; while he wrapped his arms around her and just took things nice and slow with the most beautiful woman in the entire world.

And let's just say that the only way that Jay and Alex could describe how they were feeling right now was madly in love with the man of her dreams, her new husband Jay Halstead. "God, you are so damn sexy and irresistible." Jay laughed, smirking as he heard Alex say that; prior to leaning in and taking things nice and slow with his wife, only to be disturbed when he heard his phone ring in his pocket. And let's just say that was the last thing Jay and Alex wanted to hear as they took things nice and slow with each other. "Are you going to take that?" Going to grab his phone from his pocket, Jay saw that it was his brother. "It's my brother." Looking at Jay as he said that, Alex groaned. "What does he want?" Jay smiled. "Probably to congratulate us." Alex looked at Jay. "You told him?" Jay smiled. "I at least had to tell my brother that we're married. I mean, he's the only family I have left. And speaking of which, you know you can always talk to me about it right? I don't expect you to be done grieving just because we're married, and we have Bella." Alex agreed with Jay as she leaned in and kissed him softly. "I'm ok babe. I promise. Now, answer your brother's call before he gets mad at you." Jay agreed with his wife as she said that, before answering Will's call and putting it on speakerphone. "Business or personal?" Will laughed. "I think we both know that this is a personal call. Is our former stepmother/my new sister-in-law nearby?"

Laughing, Alex agreed as she went ahead and spoke to Will. "Careful Will, you might make my new husband jealous." Jay laughed. "No, because he's scared of me. Remember, I'm his boss and I already told him that I will demote him and make his fiancé his boss if he does anything to hurt her or her son; last time I checked, military sticks together." Will laughed. "Yeah, I just read dad's will again; it says that you're Chairman and CEO after him, while I am the co-President and Deputy CEO of Casey-Halstead Mental Health Group. Speaking of which, Matt sends his congratulations." Matt being Matthew Casey, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of his own family company, The Casey Group. They work together all the time on mental health due to the fact that he's a former firefighter with PTSD, while they are also rivals in the fashion world as they both have clothing lines; they have Halstead Apparel (or HA, which Alex is a lingerie model for), while they have Casey Apparel. So, they have a complicated business relationship with each other (to put it lightly). "So, did he ask you anything about the apparel division? I know he and Gabby try and do that sometimes." Will laughed. "I told him that we'll sue him if he does. He knows not to mess with us right now." Jay agreed with Will, as that was true.

Which is when Will got down to business. "Speaking of which, Kayla called…." Kayla being Kayla Davis, the Vice-President, and Chief Public Relations Officer for the company, while also being a member of the Board of Directors. "…and she's wondering what we're supposed to say about the press since you revealed that you and Alex are married, and that Bella is your daughter rather than dad's to the entire company." Looking at Jay as Will said that, Alex was surprised (and a bit upset). "You did that? When?" Jay smiled. "Just now, I sent an e-mail; remember?" Alex just looked at her husband, as she wasn't happy. "Finish supper. I'm going to check on Bella." Walking past her husband, Alex walked away as she wasn't happy with him at the moment. "Alex…" Sighing, Jay proceeded to speak to his brother about how he has to go. "Will, I have to go." Will agreed. "Good idea." Taking a breath, Jay hung up and then proceeded to turn around so that he could grab some leftovers they have in the fridge that they can have for supper; only to see that there was some of Alex's favorite pasta…so, he decided that he could heat that up and see whether she'd be happy with that tonight.

Walking into their room shortly after heating up some pasta for him and Alex, Jay smiled as he looked at his wife due to the fact that she looks very sexy as she sat in their bed as she watched some TV; yet, at the same time, he also knew that she clearly wasn't happy that he did what he did. So, rather than stall…he did what he needs to do right now. "I'm sorry." Turning her head to look at her husband, Alex sighed as the last thing she wants to be right now is in a fight; especially when they were finally together and married. "Jay, you already told Kayla that we're married; the entire company that we're married. That means you already did business." Jay sighed as he looked at Alex. "I just wanted to inform the company because I had to Alex." Alex laughed. "Yeah, I read the by-laws. There's nothing in there that says they need to know about a marriage right away." Sighing as he carried their bowls of pasta towards his side table, Jay set his down prior to walking around his and Alex's bed so that he could set her pasta down on her side table…which is precisely what he did, prior to sitting down on the edge of his beautiful wife's bed and looking at her. After which, he proceeded to grab her hand and looked into her eyes. "Hey, can you look at me as we talk for a minute?" Taking a breath, Alex agreed with her husband due to the fact that she really doesn't want to fight with him. "Listen, you know I love you, right?" Alex agreed with Jay.

After all, they are married. "Of course, I know that Jay. You're my new husband, today is our wedding day, which is why I'm mad in the first place, because you did work on the day of our wedding." Jay agreed with his wife. "Alex, I did it because I wanted to make sure that they address you properly in any announcements that need to be made in the future." Alex was confused when she heard that, until Jay explained. "I never wanted them to introduce you as the widow of Patrick Halstead. I want them to call you my wife. I want you to be Ms. Jay Halstead in all announcements. And I don't want to have to address it. I just want it to happen, and I don't want people to have to judge us; because the last thing I'm going to do is let that happen. We're married, we're in love, and I want to just be out in the open when it comes to our love." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, as that makes sense now…and it's also something she loves due to the fact that it's precisely what she wants as well. She wants to be madly in love with her husband, as they hold each other close and take it nice and easy with each other. And right now, that's exactly what the two of them plan on doing here in the comfort of their bed. "Ok. I can understand that." Jay agreed with his wife and smiled as she said that as he was happy, while also moving his hands to her neck and smirking as he leaned in and took things nice and slow with the woman he loves.

The woman he craves day and night due to the fact that he truly believes she's the love of his life. "I love you; you know that right?" Alex agreed with her husband, as she most certainly knows that. "I love you too and I'm glad that we're married. However, I think it's time that we eat Mr. Halstead…as I'm getting quite cold, which means that I want some snuggle time with my husband in bed." Jay smirked as Alex said that, while also watching as she slipped over in bed. Meanwhile, he got up once again and proceeded to get in bed with her so that they can have supper with each other, which is precisely what they both want. They both want to hold each other in bed and have some supper, while they take it easy and just relax with each other on the night of their wedding. But, prior to grabbing their food, Jay wrapped his arm around her and moved his hand to her neck; leaning in, he smirked as he bent down and started to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you." Hearing Jay say that, Alex smiled; while Wes barked since he loves him too. However, that turned out to be the last thing he was supposed to do as it ended up waking up Bella. "Wes, you're annoying sometimes." Alex laughed. "Both of my guys are." Jay smirked and agreed.

After which, he proceeded to get up out of bed again to make his way over to Bella's crib to grab her; but first, he decided to do something else…he decided to take off his sweatpants as he walked past his dresser due to the fact that his wife was just wearing some lingerie. "Tease much." Looking at his wife, Jay was shocked at the audacity of her saying that. "You sure have nerve to say that to me Ms. Sexy Lingerie!" Alex laughed as she reached over and proceeded to grab her bowl of pasta to start eating. Meanwhile, Jay walked up to Bella's crib and just smiled as he looked down at his little girl. "Oh, come here sweetie. Daddy's here." Picking her up in his arms, Jay smiled as he rocked her and just held her close to him while kissing her forehead. "Yeah, you like that feeling, don't you sweetheart?" Pressing his lips to his month-old baby girl's forehead, Jay smiled as he rubbed her back and just held her close, while also turning to look at Alex. "How about you eat? Then, we can rotate. When I'm done eating, she can go back in her crib, and we can hold each other in bed." Alex agreed with her husband as she ate her delicious pasta this evening, which is everything she wants and more due to the fact that she's very happy right now; especially since she's married to her loving husband: Jay Halstead.
