Megamind absentmindedly twiddled the engagement ring in his hand early next morning. The warm April sunlight painted his office in hues of oranges and yellows with pink accents highlighting the walls! But the early April sun failed to fill his soul with the — what should have been, warm rays, in the deepest parts of his soul! He should take the engagement ring back. The problem was, Megamind couldn't bring himself to get out of the chair to do just that. Why was that? Roxanne ended the relationship so there was no further need to keep the ring. Yet, his heart said something different: what if you end up marrying someone else in the future? Or was that his brain?

Coffee suddenly sounded good. Megamind decided coffee might help soothe the ache a little bit. Setting the ring back in the box it came in, he got up from the chair to go and try to attempt healing his broken heart. He took one step forward until a thought occurred. Snatching up the ring box, Megamind snapped the lid shut after making sure the band was secure! Roxanne was not coming back to Metro City! She made that clear when she ripped out his heart!

Holding onto the bond would just hinder the healing process.

Walking through the city in the warm sun, Megamind tried to enjoy the feel of the warmth against his face! Ascending a lush, green, grassy hill, Megamind listened to the birds' lovely songs while butterflies and dragonflies flitted through the air before lighting atop the green blades decorating the park's vast ground; rabbits hopped to and fro and the wind gently whispered against his head and face.

Unfortunately, the sight Megamind took in didn't even touch the deep recesses of the beating organ painfully pounding against his chest as he took in the vast park before him at the top of the hill. But he still needed to continue to try. Scanning the landscape, Megamind spotted his objective!

Center of the park stood a coffee stand that struck an inviting chord in his being. Taking in a deep breath and sauntering up to the coffee shop, Megamind patiently waited in line — a short line at that. The ring box felt as if the weight had grown to match the painful weight of his heart! But he ignored! He couldn't think about the engagement ring — or the fact he would never see the beautiful gold band cuff Roxanne's left ring finger!

When his turn came to order something, Megamind slowly walked forward to stand before the coffee stand and the Barista across him. He studied the sign with the variety of coffees above the Barista's head, swallowing thickly.

"What can I get you?" Having never done this before — only watching Roxanne various times, Megamind let out a low hum. "You know…I'm not sure what to get." He admitted, "I have never done this."

So unfamiliar, yet beautiful…a voice speaks up from behind Megamind, who is suddenly curious.

"Well, the Marshmallow Campfire is good. It tastes like a S'mores. If you prefer a classic; there's the Mocha: coffee mixed with chocolate syrup and milk; a familiar classic that's always good for a comfort drink: warm, smooth and creamy screaming 'cure for a heartbreak.' If you want something more simple with no coffee, then there is the cappuccino."

Turning around so he can see the source of the beautiful voice, Megamind — for a minute that ends up turning to two minutes, forgets all about Roxanne when his green eyes lock onto the most beautiful woman he ever saw. A beautiful face decorated with a thick pair of beautiful pearlescent white eyebrows framing the most beautiful pair of sea foam green eyes with specks of jade and emerald green decorated across the depths. A cute button nose set above a pair of bow shaped lips with a slightly rounded chin blending nicely with a strong jaw.

High cheekbones met Megamind's eyesight when his emerald eyes shifted upwards, noticing a pale pink lightly dusted the beautiful ivory skin that was the woman's cheeks, giving her ivory skin a beautifully accented, enhancing color; slightly adding a beautiful accent to the strong foundation that was her face, framed by long, pearlescent white hair accenting the beautiful shimmer of the woman's pearlescent white eyelashes and thick, pearlescent white eyebrows set below a wide forehead!

Slightly parting from the sight of the woman his eyes beheld, Megamind's mouth formed an O in awe and wonder! His heart gave a painful beat at the sight of the beauty holding his eyes with those striking eyes of hers! What accented the woman's beauty even more; her striking ivory-olive toned skin added exotic flare; his heart painfully clutched. Reality sank in, however. He was currently fresh out of a relationship.

Megamind finally got his tongue to work. "I have never had any of those." His stomach let out a growl. "As well as breakfast."

Slightly shifting his footing when the woman moved to stand in front of him, Megamind's left side faced the Barista; faced by the woman's right, her shoulders squared off when she herself adjusted her footing. Those sea foam green eyes looked him up and down, matching to the unreadable gaze on her face. He slightly bent his head when she moved closer.

Taking the time to drink in the woman's figure, Megamind found: a toned figure adorned by a pair of cargo pants and a simple t-shirt, the only accenting accessory his eyes found: a genuine Emerald jewel set in a sterling silver plated backing against her bare chest; its matching colored jump ring allowing the pendant free hanging from the small metal ringlet lightly pulling at the white gold chain circling her beautiful neck!

Making up her mind; nodding, the woman turned to the patiently waiting Barista with a beautiful warm smile brightening up the surrounding environment. This woman…never had Megamind laid eyes on her before; yet, she had studied him while holding his eyes as if she knew him already; nodding her head as if she had confirmed something. Roxanne had always told him he was so predictable.

Having just ended their relationship — he and Roxanne, Megamind knew he shouldn't be looking at another woman. But he couldn't seem to keep his eyes off the exotic woman with the beautiful voice. Chills ran down his spine and goosebumps peppered his skin when her voice began uttering words to the Barista. "Clarice, we will have two mochas and a danish to split." The woman a ten to the Barista, and Megamind's mouth slightly parted in shock. Beautiful and kind. He found himself wondering about her name — despite just getting out of a relationship. But when she looked at him… "Thank you. You didn't have to do that."

Following the woman to a nearby picnic table after taking his coffee from her, Megamind perched on the bench seat opposite the woman after she sat down. He watched while she cut the danish down the middle with the plastic cutlery and slid his piece closer to himself when she slid his piece of danish towards him on a makeshift plate. Megamind took the offered plastic fork and knife from the woman and cut a small chunk of his flaky pastry after watching how the woman cut a small chunk of her piece so neither of them would sticky fingers from the icing. His eyes lit up like fireworks when the pastry hit his tongue.

"Good, huh?"

"Yes. Thank you. You didn't have to do that."

"I wanted to. You looked like you could use some comfort food."

Beautiful, kind and caring. Megamind tried hard to avoid those sea foam green eyes! He tried looking everywhere except the one place he finally did look at, no thanks to a strong, hypnotic, magnetizing pull causing him to give in.

Indeed, Megamind was hungry and in need of some comfort food! There was something about the woman that intrigued his curiosity. He found himself so relaxed around her. It would seem she was letting him lead the conversation.

Pushing aside his empty makeshift plate, Megamind took a sip of his coffee and his eyes lit up when the sweet, chocolatey beverage hit his tongue. Over the rim of his cup, he caught sight of a beautiful smile gracing the woman's mouth; her eyes crinkling from the smile. Oh man, she was beautiful! And he found himself wondering her name.

"Thank you…"

"Teryn."

Gratitude filled the man's green eyes. While he told her he was going into a hard week, Teryn studied him. Blue skin covered by a black skin-tight leather suit with a blue bolt in his chest, black gloves with spikes covered his hands. Her eyes took in his facial features: blue skin, pink accents decorating his cheeks, lips and ears, black eyebrows framed brilliant green eyes. The only facial hair on his face was his black goatee.

Sure, his head was big, but Teryn wasn't bugged by the fact. In all honesty, the size of his head only seemed big from no hair covering. Zoning everything out, her eyes focused on his forehead above his eyebrows. In all honesty, his head wasn't that big. If viewed as a whole, then yes, it was big, but in reality; when close up like she currently found herself, it wasn't!

"I'm sorry your week is starting out rough." Pushing aside her coffee and makeshift plate, Teryn reached her arm out; extending her hand out to the man, encouragingly smiling at his shock. "My name is Teryn. What is your name, good sir?"

Megamind slid his hand into hers after a moments pause from the compliment she gave him. No one had ever called him that before. Then again, he used to be a villain before. "I'm Megamind. Thank you, Teryn."
