Kana.

'Hard to tell her age, since she can change her height by standing up heigher on her tail...' Naruto tried to guess how old she was without flat out asking her. Unless mermaids were a "young" looking species, which they were not, he would guess that she was between the ages of 13 and 17. In most human society, she would easily be considered too young, though that only applied to the last 100 years in most of society, and the last 50 years in other areas.

Again, that was just going by the simple fact that she wasn't the most developed.

She DID have fully formed breasts, though on the small side, and her hips DID have a big ot side to them as well. She had a princess cut for a hairstyle, and with tanned skin and darker hair, she did have a bit of a more traditional beauty to her. Her face was downright beautiful, and she had red eyes that had a great sparkle to them, and her ears were shaped like fins with blue scales, just like her tail.

She was observing him as well.

"You are a fine man it would seem." Kana had done her analysis.

He was taller than her father was when he was standing on his tail at a comfortable height. Kana was able to match Naruto in height by standing on more of her tail, but it wasn't comfortable to do that, so she was about 40cm shorter than he was when she stood at a comfortable height. His muscles were not quite as large as her fathers muscles were, but Naruto had a larger muscle-structure for his torso, with longer arms, so while his arms and chest might not have as much muscle bulk, it was clear he was a warrior.

Also, he had legs.

None of their species had that, so she didn't know quite what to think.

"A fine man... let me ask you Kana, are you a fine woman or a fine girl in your opinion?"

"I am a fine woman, able to give you guppies if you so wish. It would be an honor to have a war heroes children." Kana stated with a more dry tone, but it had respect to it. She seemed to have a genuine respect for what he had done for her village by killing the kraken. "... I am the princess of my village, and it is an honor to marry an otherworlder who may help us." Kana was honest.

A bit too honest.

While she might be of age for getting married, Naruto would guess that she was 16 based on how naive that she was, and she was no older than 18. She was very honest, but that honesty told him that she was pragmatic but naive when it came to dealing with others. She was smarter than her father was, but she lacked the wisdom and experience that he had.

"... Screw it." Naruto wasn't going to put too much issue with her age. She had a mature plumpness to her flesh, enough to say that she was matured, and while she was a bit naive, she was clearly smart enough to agree to getting married and knowing the value of it. In that aspect, Naruto would focus less on her age and more on what kind of woman she was. "So tell me Kana... if I wanted to start negotiations with another tribe, what would be the easiest way to do it?" Naruto wanted to know this.

Her answer to political situations.

She put her thumb to his lower lip and thought about it.

"... I would have a son or daughter, and I would raise them with the understanding that they would marry a son or daughter of the other tribe. Political marraige is a way to bridge a gap between tribes." Kana gave her answer.

It showed she was mature, had a keen eye for politics, but it also showed that she was a bit naive still when it came to dealing with others.

"Oh?" Naruto asked her.

She nodded.

"I am a princess, but one day I will be the wife of the next chief, with you, my husband taking over my father's role. That means, my children will be princes and princesses, and thus just as I am doing now, I will teach them how much value they hold." Kana thought it out, and while she wasn't using her heart, Naruto could see that she was just not too much of an emotional person when it came to matters of love.

"What is the most important part of marraige... once we get married, how do you view us growing?" Naruto had her answer make him think that.

"Mutual respect, while love is a non-issue, with mutual respect, a healthy and loving relationship can form later. Can I speak frankly?" Kana asked for permission.

He nodded.

He was curious.

"You killed a kraken and you have otherworlder knowledge, I respect that greatly, and I see how valuable you are. I hold you in high regard... I wish for you to love me, so that I may love you in return. This marraige is political, but I..." Kana placed her hand over her heart, and she offered him a very small and sincere smile. "... I will work hard to love you, so I ask that you love me."

There it was.

Real maturity.

Love me, so that I can love you.

Kana was not naive in love, she was naive in dealing with people, but when it came to matters of love she showed a true maturity. She saw love as the outcome of showing love, and working to express it. She viewed the act of loving somebody was not just emotional, but it was also a struggle and required active work. Kana wanted to give him love, in hopes that he would return love with hard work and effort in love.

"Heh... I look forward to giving you love." Naruto smiled in response to her answer and what it implied.

Kana seemed a little nervous as she sat silently.

"I... have a question."

"Ask."

"... I will admit, I am a little nervous. Do you have... experience in loving others?" Kana asked Naruto a rather personal question.

He smiled.

"I had a girlfriend when I was younger, but her family didn't approve of me so we broke it off on good terms... I have loved a woman before." Naruto placed his hand on top of her. She had light blue webbing between her fingers that went up above the second knuckle, so holding hands with her would be awkward. He just placed his hand on top of hers and held it in his hand.

She nodded her head and listened.

"... and what do you offer me as wife?" Kana was a bit more analytical with that question.

Naruto grinned.

"Well, how does a chair that lets you move quickly on land sound... or maybe ways to preserve food... seems the mermaid village focuses less on farming and hunting, and more on fishing... and I can offer political negotiations to increase this nation's military strength, and ensure it's long term surviveability." Naruto spoke up to Kana about just some of the things that he could offer her as a husband, her and the village.

Kana smiled.

She was blushing and smiling, very pleased with his anger to a degree that was almost frightening in intensity. She was cold and analytical to the point that she viewed her own love life as little more than a tool for her to ensure her clan prospered, and because of that cold logic she used, she could instantly see the immense value in the far future. She wasn't looking to the near future, she was thinking of a future far passed her life time, and to the lifetimes of her descendants in the far future.

She didn't say another word.

She was just thinking to herself about benefits.

"... I am glad we are to be married tonight." Kana stated with a wet smile, her saliva was covering her mouth in her excitement.

That did raise a question.

"So how do mermaids get married?" Naruto questioned that.

"I don't know much of how common mermaids get married, but for royalty, there is a special cave we go to with an altar in it... and we consumate our marraige. That is all." Kana confirmed that there were no grand wedding ceremonies at least, and how getting married was a very private affair for him.

Ojisan came into the room.

"Oh good, you are both still dressed. Tonight, we will have a big dinner before you two go and get married. It will be stamina rich, so you two can go at it as much as you want." Ojisan had overheard the topic of marraige. "As much as I bet you want to deflower my daughter now, I gotta ask you wait until tonight."

"Father! We were just speaking politics!"

"Oh, and I'm sure that politics are why you're dripping wet on dry land like that. Daughter, I know you are innocent... but you can't expect me to believe that my daughter is a politics slut, who gets horny for political power." Ojisan pointed out that a few lines of fluid were running down the front of her tail, coming from out of under her skirt.

She got aroused.

Naruto looked at Kana, who actually blushed and hid her face away from him since he was able to see how aroused she was at the thought of great expanses of power.

Naruto leaned forward.

"... I have knowledge to make air-powered harpoon launchers."

Kana lowered her head and made sure that her horny face wasn't visible anymore, and he grinned at how easy it was for him to arouse her with just talk of technological advancement. She had her weakness exposed.

"Haahaahaa!"

"Air tanks... capable of extending the time a mermaid can swim underwater by hours." Naruto whispered, and she curled up on the floor so that she could get away from what was turning her on. Naruto laughed and stood up, before he looked towards Ojisan. "Hey Dad, mind seeing if you can find me some clothes I can wear to fit in with you folks?" Naruto was wearing clothes from his home world.

They kind of made him stand out more.

"Happily Son. Mermaid clothes are quite loose fitting and easy to move in... I bet my daughter would love to see you in them... why... I bet right now she can barely restrain herself from jumping you."

"FATHER!"

"Woah now daughter, save that excitement for pleasing your husband."

"FATHER!"

"Yeah now, don't be yelling at Dad... you should yell at me later, so save your vocal cords for that." Naruto had to join in on teasing Kana, who was just mortified that her future husband and father were teaming up against her and embarassing her like this. Naruto became serious. "Ojisan, while I wait, do you think you could find a map of this region?"

"No can do, we only map the waters, we don't typically map the land. We depend on humans for directions for settlements, and when we don't depend on them, we just focus on general memory." Ojisan had to turn Naruto down on getting a map for him.

Naruto nodded his head.

"I was thinking, after a week or two, I might go and see about approaching the Midori clan you mentioned."

"They live in the Death Mountains up near the northern sea, usually you can see the smoke from their campfires... I would say taking the river, it is a 2 week journey." Ojisan could make an educated guess on what Naruto wanted to do.
