WARNING: BRUISES
April walked into the lair and ensured no one had followed her. When she got word from Donnie about the news, he told her to keep an eye out for the police department in case they spotted her and followed her to their location. Once she was sure she was safe, she pressed on to the lair and entered with a bag in her hand.
She walked inside one of the bathrooms and saw Donnie kneeling by the bathtub, filling it with hot soapy water. "Hey, Donnie, I got the gears you asked for." She set the bag down, spilling out a shampoo bottle, a conditioner bottle, lavender-scented soap, a yellow sponge, and four towels.
Donnie looked up, facing April. "Oh good, thank you." He turned the water faucet off and stood up.
" So, mind me asking why you asked me to get some bathing stuff?" She asked him with arms crossed. "I know it can't be for you."
Donnie shocked his head. "It's for Arianina." He answered. He hoped he got her name right after seeing it on the news. "You should have seen the state she is in."
" Is it bad?" April sound concerned.
" well, pretty much." He nodded.
" Geez. I feel bad for the poor girl." April frowned at this.
" Yeah." He rubs the back of his neck. "Be sure the water is warm still. I'll go get her."
April nodded. "I can do that, D." She replied.
Donnie left the bathroom and made his way to Arianina's room. He grabbed the handle and turned it, only to find it locked. He groaned from this; how did she manage to sealed an abandoned subway train? But she needs to clean and has no time to think for himself. So he took a small pocket knife from one of his belt pockets, poked it through the lock, and got it open. He walked inside.
Inside is dark, almost like the windows have been blocked from any light. He can barely see any corners; only the light from outside can view a few. He called out. "Arianina? Are you still here?"
Then he heard her voice. "How did you know my name?" Arianina stepped out; her hands gripped both her biceps as they crossed together. And she was glaring at him suspiciously.
" I saw a picture of you with your name. Arianina Luck, right?" He asked her.
Arianina just glared. "Yeah." She answered him. "So what?"
" Well." Donnie then just groaned. "Can you come with me?" He asked her again.
Arianina backed away a bit. "Why should I?" She snarled. "I'm not coming with you, you freak."
Donnie's face has a deadpan expression. "Have you looked in a mirror? You look horrible." He pointed out.
" Yeah. I know." She rolled her eyes. "I'm a mutant."
" I'm not talking about your mutation." He exhaled. "I'm talking about your hygiene." He mentioned her body. Her long hair is tangled in a mess with hair grease, her face is covered in dirt, and her clothes are still dirty.
Arianina growled, then she narrowed her eyes at him angrily. "My personal cleaning is none of your business." She growled.
Donnie sighed, getting irritated. "I don't want to fight you, so let me take you to the bathroom." He starts walking towards her.
But she backed away from him as he walked towards her. "Not in a million years!!" She snarled more. "So back off before I make you!!"
And that's when Donnie finally loses his patience. He gridded his teeth and growled. "Okay then! You left me no choice!" He shouted, taking a huge step toward her.
Arianina backed far away from her till her back hit the wall. Donnie had grabbed her by the arm and backed up to drag her, but she had planted her feet on the floor and struggled to back away. They struggled; still, Donnie pulled her out while Arianina pulled herself back. But then the sleeves of her turtleneck ripped and ripped out, causing both Donnie and Arianina to fall on the floor. Donnie pushes himself up and glares at her till his expression falls and shows an expression of shock.
Bruises. There are bruises on her bare arm. They almost look like they are healing, yet still in the color of purple with a line of yellow. And cuts that are healing as well. Arianina spots him staring at her bare arm; she quickly hides them from his sight by hiding them behind her. But it was too late for her; he had seen them.
" Who did this to you?" Donnie asked her, getting himself up.
"It's none of your business!!" She shouted at him, trying to move away from him, but the wall blocked her path. She had a look of fear in her as if he would hit her.
But Donnie grabs the hem of her turtleneck. She struggled to push him away, but the shirt came off as she pushed him off. She gasped and gripped her biceps as if trying to hide them from her.
Donnie gasped. Like its twin, bruises, and cuts cover her other arm. Whatever happened to her, it looks like they are trying to get her killed.
Arianina gets herself up and hides in the shadowed corner of the room. Her body shook in fear. Now that he had seen them, she feared of what he will do next to her.
" Arianina, come on." He spoke softly. "I can do something about those bruises. But I need you to come with me." He is still trying to get her to follow him to the bathroom. But Arianina just gave him a hiss like an animal refusing to leave. Donnie sighed, getting really annoyed by this. "I tried to be nice, but you have drained my patience, young lady!" He yelled. He reaches into the shadowed corner and grabs her arm.
The fear in her eyes grew in her. The grip of his strength reminds her of Henry's strength; in her eyes, Henry is in his place and is glaring at her in pure rage. "No! No!" She pulls away, but he is too strong and pulls out of her spot.
" I'm not going to tell you again. I need you to come with me." He finally got her out of her room.
Arianina grabs the handle of the train, refusing to go farther. "Let me go!!" She panicked.
But Donnie grabbed her by her waist and hosted her up on his shoulder. Then he walked straight to the bathroom. He really hoped April managed to keep the water warm. He can feel Arianina struggling and hitting his battle shell; the pressure of her hit cause him to shiver uncomfortably. Images of his shell getting touched by the technodrome flashed in his mind. He shook the images off his mind and entered the bathroom.
April had taken off her jacket and rolled her sleeves up. She managed to keep the tub warm and soapy. She saw Donnie coming in with a struggling Arianina. "Whoa! Got a feisty one, D!" She exclaimed.
" Just clean her, and I'll hold her," Donnie said, putting Arianina down, who was growling.
" If you touch me, I will beat you till your bones break!!" She threatens them.
April head to them. She motions for Donnie to lift her up. He lifts her up, almost like she's as light as a twig—big mistake. Arianina is kicking and shrieking. April grabbed the end of her jeans and pulled them off of her. Luckily, there were no bruises on them too.
Once they got her clothes off, Donnie carried her to the tub. Arianina struggled and kicked, almost like a little kid refusing to take her first bath. He set her down on the tub, and her kicking splashed the water off and landed on the floor. Donnie holds her by the shoulder while April gets to work.
April applied shampoo to her hair and scrubbed her long hair. She cleaned off the dirt in her hair and added another layer of shampoo. "Geez, your hair is really nasty." April spoke. "when was the last time you had a good proper cleaning?" She rinsed the shampoo off her hair and applied another layer.
" None of your damn business!!" Arianina growled, struggling, but Donnie had a firm hold on her.
April scoffed. "Don't you dare talk back to me, missy!" She glared, scrubbing her hair. "You should be grateful that you are getting clean."
Arianina glared. "Grateful? GRATEFUL!!? GRATEFUL IS NOTHING BUT PITY!!!" She shouted loud, her voice echoed the sewers.
April dunked her head in the water and pulled her up, rinsing the shampoo off. Then she put the conditioner on her hair. Once the conditioner is set in, she grabs the lavender soap and the sponge. "Arms off." She said.
" Back off!!" Arianina growled.
" D?" April raised her eyes brow.
By command, Donnie lifts both her arms up. Then April begins to use the sponge and clean all the dirt off Arianina, from her neck and arms. She was being cautious with her bruises. And even scrub her new shell. Arianina hissed at her, then moved her legs, causing the water to hit April and Donnie.
" Almost done!!" April yelled, grabbing her legs and cleaning the dirt off them. "And finished!!" She backed away.
Donnie let go of her shoulder. Once she was free, she turned around and punched Donnie. He backed away from her, avoiding the punch. Arianina jumps off the tub but is pulled back by her hair as April pull out a hairbrush and brush between her hair.
" Girl!! You do realize that you got nasty rat's nest in your hair!" April brushed the nest off hard, causing her to yelp in pain.
Arianina glared in a brutal rage. Then she hand chop the brush off April's hand, causing her to yell in pain and drop it. Arianina then runs past her, ready to run out of the bathroom.
April's yelled caught the boy's attention, and they blocked Arianina's path. But she jumped over them, flipped in the air, and landed behind them.
" Where is the damn entrance!?" She looks around the lair, trying to find a way out.
Raph grabs her by her arm and holds her. "Missy! We're not letting you go off!" He said.
" Try and stop me!" She snarled. She elbowed his chest, right next to his cracked shell. The impact triggered memories of Raph almost getting stabbed by the Krang to save Leo. He let her go.
Mikey tried to grab Arianina with his nunchucks, but she jumped out of the way and kicked him on the head. That hit was almost enough to give him a headache. Leo blocked her path and opened a portal that sent her to a pile of their beanbags. She roared and ripped them apart in rage. Raph then grabbed her from behind, only for her to punch him in the face and cause him to let her go. She runs away from them and back to her room.
Raph fixed his jaw. "Geez! That girl is nothing but trouble!!" He shouted.
" our beanbags!!" Mikey cried, holding the ripped beanbag.
" What is her big deal? Can't she see we are trying to help her and the others?" Leo questioned.
" She can't." April sighed, rubbing her hand. "Arianina always refuses help."
" You know this crazy girl?" Leo asked her.
" That was during my senior years when she was just a freshman, before her mutation," April explained. "She was always alone; she would even try to hang out with pigeons. But she was every bully's main target and picked fights with her." She frowned. "I wanted to help but was so busy with everything."
Raph got his jaw fixed. "She's gonna have to get used to it, whether she likes it or not."
Donnie got himself dried up as he left the bathroom. He never knew someone like her could be so ferocious and bitter. But at least she is clean, now to deal with her bruised arms.
Once the lair is calmed down and the turtles are out skateboarding, Donnie grabs all he needs and walks back to Arianina's room with bandages and an ice pack. He walks in; thankfully, it is unlocked. He spots her under a blanket, sitting on her bed with Bello beside her. He gulped of this.
Bello saw him and chirped happily. Arianina heard him and turned around to face the door. But she snarled, seeing Donnie again, and turned her back on him. "Go away!" She shouted, mad and bitter.
Donnie let out a sigh. He was so tired of arguing with a hateful mutant. He set the two items down and sat next to her. "Look, we got off on the wrong foot here." He mentioned their first encounter. "Can we start over?" He asked.
" No!" She shouted. But a glare from Bello caused her to groan. "Fine! But keep your distance!" Bello chirped to her; he could sense Donnie is a good soul and wanted him to help his owner. Arianina growled, can't believe that her pet was trying to get her to open up. "whatever! Just get this over with!"
Donnie pulled the blanket off her. Then he grabbed her arm and placed the ice pack on it to calm the swelling. Arianina looked away from him, not wanting to look at him after the stunt he did. Bello huffed and tilted his head at her. Once the swelling calmed down, Donnie wrapped the bandage around her arms and tightened it, but not too tight. Then he works on the other arms.
Arianina turned her head to face him as he put the ice pack on her other arm. "Why are you doing this?" She asked him.
" You are staying with us and in our care," Donnie answered. "Whatever you like it or not."
Arianina just let out a scoff, refusing to believe it. She turned away from him, and he wrapped the bandage around her arm.
Donnie set the bandage down. "Where did you get those bruises and cuts?" He asked her about the bruises.
" That is not your business to know." She hissed. She doesn't trust him. "I don't need you to baby me; I can look after myself." She frowned.
Donnie huffed. "I'm trying to be nice to you. You got nasty bruises that needed medical help and smelled like wet dogs."
Arianina narrows her eyes down. "I don't need any sympathy and pity. I wouldn't have if you just leave me alone." She gripped her bandaged arm.
" And leave you in that lab? You should be thankful we saved your life." Donnie glared at her.
" Saved my life!?" She glared at him. "My life is already ruined!! If you are done with me, butt out, or I can kick your shell!" She shouted.
Donnie blinked. "What do you mean your life is-" but Arianina shouted at him.
" GET OUT!!" She raised her fist to punch him.
Donnie growled, grabbed her stuff, and left her. He heads back to his lab with an angry expression on his face. There was something about her that made him mad. Sure, there was Kendra from the Purple Dragon, and he was not very happy when he learned she and her gang of tech students had stolen his tech to steal computer data, but Kendra was just a small amount of annoyance while Arianina had skyrocketed his patience. The least he can do to try to get along with her is to keep her distance.
Inside Arianina's room. She was about to rip the bandages off her, but a chirping noise from Bello stopped her and made her face him. Bello glared at her as if he was disappointed that she had caused a scene.
Arianina scoffed. "don't look at me like that. Don't tell me you trust those turtle freaks." Bello pulled an offended look on his face. Arianina sweat dropped. "Not that you are, but…." She let out a groan. Then she fell on her bed and lay down. "My life can't get any more worst than back home." She pulled the blanket over her and went straight to sleep.
