New World I - The Japan Sea Preparation is Tough for a Mob
12/3/2018 506th Joint Fighter Wing Noble Witches A-Unit Air Base, Dijon, France Daytime - Clear Sky
Third Person POV
It was daytime here in France where everything seemed calm far from the city such as Paris. But here in Dijon, there is the newly built JFW Air Base here where the widely known Noble Witches are devoted to protect France from any threats such as Neurois… and potentially Anti-Witch groups that originated in France. Inside the office was a young blonde woman with short hair as she wore her blue Gallian military uniform where she was seen writing down the paperwork with her pen. However, there was a young blonde man who stood there, looking outside the window to see the Witches taking off from the runway as they flew into the sky to begin their usual daytime patrol. Of course, the room was silent as the two didn't talk.
"Still reminiscing of what happened back at Paris, Alain?" The Gallian Witch asked him as he noticed to turn around.
"…Yes." Alain continued as he looked down. "The crimes that these Sauveurs Luminaires committed is widely unforgivable. And their actions in gassing the Japanese civilians in Tokyo was something we never expect them to do… What if Japan's Prime Minister finds out about what our country's been doing against them, Perrine?"
Perrine then seemingly stopped writing as she remembered listening to the news of their actions in Tokyo… an unforgivable act that harmed thousands of people. Truly a tragic moment to witness. She remains her calm expression ever since she has taken her role as the new Wing Commander of the 506th's A-Unit. Yet, she expects to be the role that is nobility itself.
"Rest assured, our country will find a way to work with Japan in order to resolve these issues. They need to understand that we have the same goal here. These Sauveurs Luminaires that they call themselves are nothing more than a brutish Anti-Witch group that seeks to sow chaos against humanity." Perrine said with a stern look as she looked down on the papers without even looking at Alain… until now.
"You are correct." Alain continued. "Plus, please look at this."
Alain then brings out his phone as he shows her the news article which was entirely written in French… or Gallian in her language. The title of the news shows that the newly formed Typhoon Coffin Platoon managed to stop a rampaging Magepsycho thanks to the Slave's effort… his name is Keiwa Kaburagi. Plus, his face is also being shown as he is somewhat making headlines for reasons unknown.
"Keiwa… Kaburagi… So this lowly Fusoan here is a Slave?" Perrine said to her husband as he nodded.
"Correct, Perrine. Words about the Typhoon Coffin Platoon's notoriety are starting to go out and are reaching all over the world… Karlsland would be the first to hear about it. And apparently the Witch Corps would take the credit themselves since they were the ones responsible for creating it in the first place." Alain explained the whole process about them as Perrine looked at Keiwa… the moment she continued to stare… she decided to give the phone back to him.
"I see… Well either way, they're doing a good job on protecting their country." Perrine said until the door began to knock. "Come in."
The door opens as it was revealed to be another blonde Witch with a black Karlslandian uniform as she presents herself to the Wing Commander.
"Commander Clostermann." The Karlslandian Witch calls her name.
"Ahh, Heinrike. Do you have anything to report?" Perrine asked her as she saluted.
"I do, Commander." Heinrike continued. "I have received reports involving the former member of the Gallian Intelligence Group by the name of Chris Keera. Surely you've heard of her, nein?"
"I have… Rumors say that she's been missing since Early 2018 if I'm correct." Perrine said as she assumed things about her disappearance.
"Yes but… she has resurfaced." Heinrike continued as both Perrine and Alain listened. "France's own intelligence group has speculated that she is the ringleader of the Anti-Witch Group responsible for both attacks in Paris and Tokyo."
"Sauveurs Luminaires…" Perrine mentioned the group's name as she nodded.
"That's right. The Witch Corp returned with a response coming from the letter itself. I had to travel to Berlin and come back here to provide you with this. I… I hope you understand this situation." Heinrike said as she approached her desk and put the letter there.
Perrine then takes the letter and reads it… And after seeing it with her own eyes… This came to her as a shock.
"Perrine? Something wrong?" Alain talked to her wife as she tried to remain calm.
"I-I am… This letter… Does that mean…?" Perrine asked her as she nodded.
"Ja… Chris Keera has betrayed her country and the code she failed to uphold. Therefore… if she were to be found… She is to be killed on sight…" Heinrike spoke as the room became tense… Chris' betrayal only shocked Perrine but potentially all Witches all over the world should they receive a letter from the Witch Corps. For the first time… they would have to kill their own ally of the skies… A Witch… A traitor who remains at large.
"I… I… I need to clear off my head, Heinrike. Please, you're dismissed…" Perrine said in distraught as Heinrike nodded without saying anything, knowing that she was concerned about her.
"Alain… Please look after your wife…" Heinrike said to him as she left the office.
Now, it was just the two again being alone in this room. Alain didn't say anything but he is willing to look after her. Perrine decided to rest her head on her arms as she needed time to calm down as her eyes were closed. With her sleeping soundly for a good rest. Alain looked at her desk to see the letter. He had a stern look on his face the moment he saw it. To him… it was no surprise. That the Witch Corps has announced a manhunt for Chris Keera. The world has never achieved its own peace. Yet… they'll never will.

12/4/2018 Sea of Japan Morning - Clouded Snow
It was a morning sail where the group of fishermen were seen trying to go about their day early as the worker used the crane to lift up the net where all the fishes were captured. So, the net moves and dumps it on the ship as they would proceed to grab them and put them into a bucket in order to sell them to the buyers at the nearby port town, most likely Shousetsu.
"Alright, boys! We're on double time. Make sure we have to fill them up before the deadline because this is important. We'll be drowning in money in no time! So no slacking off! Move, move, move!" The leader of the group shouted at the workers as they complied as they were doing the whole routine as per usual.
Yet, the sky is still covered by the clouds as no snow hasn't fallen yet. The workers have to deal with this cold winter as their skin was getting some goosebumps as a few people shivered. Though, one person was slacking off but noticed to see the skies being darkened over them as he stared at the clouded sky… a strange shadowy figure… but what is it?
"Hey." The lazy worker then pointed at the sky. "The hell's that in the sky?"
The workers stopped the moment they looked up in confusion. Trying to figure out what it is… Then… they saw a red light shining from the sky until…
[FWEEEEM! BOOM!]
The red laser from the sky beamed upon the boat as they were eradicated in a flash… The enemy in the sky lurks in the clouds… planning to strike the country when the time is right…
503rd JFW Base, Shousetsu, Japan Daytime - Clouded Snow
First Person POV
Another day… another work once again… and again… Alexandra told me to clean all of their strikers at the hangar where the Typhoon Witches usually kept them. Sure, I'm all alone by myself. The base couldn't get any male personels like mechanics and all. Still, I'm the member of the Typhoon Coffin Platoon and ALSO a background character… a Mob. Yes… a Mob. Even though I got involved during our battle against a Magepsycho trying to cause a ruckus. But this is the first time that I can finally use what I call Thunder Magic. But never in my life would I be recognized for my efforts. Witch Corps really thinks differently!
"Hey, Keiwa!" Ottilie shouted at me. "When are you cleaning my Strikers, huh?"
"I'm on it…" I said to the Karlslandian Witch.
"And what of mine?! I still need to train but I cannot afford to see my Striker rust away like it's nothing!" Fumiyo joined in as well.
"I'm on it…" I replied.
"And don't forget to clean mine as well." Waltraud spoke in.
"I'm on it…" I replied again.
"Oh! Don't forget mine, too!" Galina joined in.
"I'm on it…" I replied once more as my patience began to wear thin. "On a second thought… I'm just gonna clean Alexandra's Striker and be done with it.~"
Sure, my snarky arrogance knows no bounds. If they really want me to pick up the pace? I might as well not! Of course, they were angry.
"HUUUUUUH!?" All the Witches responded in unison.
"You got some nerves of ignoring us just because you're a guy! And you're supposed to call her by her last name!" Ottilie spoke as she was shaking her fists when she clenched it.
"I hope you drop dead, you absolute loser…" Waltrud spat with her glaring eyes at me.
"You're truly the worst…" Galina spoke with disappointment.
"I swear… If I want to cut you down, I will…" Fumiyo then proceeds to draw out her katana as she wasn't too pleased.
"Yeah, yeah.~ Keep threatening me and see if I care?~ AHAHAHAHAHA!~" I was laughing maniacally like an absolute moron. See! I told you they're angry! That's the whole point! Why would I clean all of their Striker Units when I can clean just one? Though, would it be weird if I stuck my hand inside it? How does it even function? A pocket magical dimension? That's the benefit of me being a Slave and all! After all… I'm just a Mob. And I'll continue being one…
[THOK!]
"GAH! W-WHO DID THAT!?" I quickly turned around after I was hit on the top of the head… "Oh… Alexandra."
"It's Leader Serbanescu to you…" Alexandra said with a glare. "While I appreciate you for cleaning my Striker Unit like a good boy… I suggest you should do the same for them, too…"
"Can't Bronislava hire male workers already? I feel like I'm the only guy here." I said to her as she shook her head.
"That is for the Wing Commander to decide. Plus, we can't afford them due to the funds. If you want to take on dangerous missions… Then act as a male personnel like you mean it!" Alexandra then said to me as if she was threatening me…
"Yeah no… I demand a raise." I retorted with a deadpan tone until things escalated quickly, grabbing my neck with both hands. She started to strangle me as she was not pleased with my response. Plus, I can't feel pain.
"You're going to regret those words! The audacity of you! I wish that you were never born in this world!" Alexandra struggles to strangle me as I didn't care.
"That's enough!" The voice of Bronislava boomed across the Striker Hangar as Huberta was present. "Alexandra… what did I tell you earlier…?"
"I-I uhh… Apologies…" Alexandra apologized as she let me go. "I was trying to beat some sense into this man when he refused to clean the Striker for the girls."
"Yet, I saw you strangling him. Know that you have a responsibility as the new leader of the Typhoon Coffin Platoon. Imagine how the Commodore would react if you two would continue to act like a bunch of clowns… Are we clear on this?" Bronya glared her eyes towards Alexandra as she felt a bit ashamed… HAH! Serves her right! "And Keiwa?"
"Y-Yes?" I asked her in a dumbfounded tone until her expression changed as she started to become so nice to me… it's like she's offering me a warm welcome in heaven.
"Please clean their Striker Units, okay?" Bronya said very kindly as I blushed.
"Y-You got it…" I was allured by her beauty as she convinced me to get back to my work. However… I need to repay her with my kindness someday.
"Ahem… Aren't you forgetting something?" Bronya then shifts her eyes to the four… they're expecting for my apologies… I suppose I'll do that in order…
"I'm sorry for my irrational behavior…" I stood up and bowed in the most respectful apology. I lifted my body up and glared. "However…"
I fiercely pointed at the four knowing that I have no sympathy.
"I'm not sorry for their arrogance!" I retorted in the most disrespectful manner as Ottilie, Fumiyo, Galina, and Waltraud all activated their familiar through their magical energy as they were growling like animals.
All I hear are speeches and barks, is all. Though, Bronya would lightly facepalm and Huberta would sweatdrop because of this conversation. And Alexandra would sigh in the process. Plus, all I have is a prideful smirk on my face.
"A-Anyways…" Huberta managed to catch our attention as we looked at her. The girls deactivated their familiars in the process. "Commodore Galland is going to visit our base today."
"F-For real!?" Ottilie said in shock.
"That's right. A Witch from the JASDF's Fuso Unit will be coming here to fill in the space left by Alexandra ever since she took on a role as the leader of the platoon." Huberta continued. "I cannot tell you the exact details… But you'll get to meet the new member once she arrives. As for the Commodore…"
"I'm already here in case you're wondering." The voice of some spoke as we looked at someone at the entrance… It was none other than Karlsland's best Witch and ace… Adolfine Galland. She was on her Striker where she would move on and park herself in one of the Striker Holders as it attaches itself. The Striker detects as she gets off as well as her familiar as it hides away. "Man, I'm glad to see you again, Bonin."
"You as well, Commodore Galland. You're too kind." Huberta then salutes at her. "I take it you've been on a trip all over Fuso?"
"Yes but… it's called Japan here, remember? Then again, both are the same anyways." Adolfine continued as she looked at me with a carefree smile. "And I did hear that a Slave like you saved a town from a Magepsycho attack, right?"
"Y-Yes… I did." I continued. "Me and Aurora stopped him before any chaos would occur."
"I'd say it's a job well done. Who knows what could have happened if he's allowed to roam free." Adolfine then praised me as I felt a bit honored.
"T-Thanks? But… I don't know you and yet you know me. Perhaps you can introduce yourself?" I asked her kindly in order to maintain my behavior. Besides, this is a way of getting to know each other. But her peerless beauty is hard to look away! Bronislava Safonov, Minna Dietlinde Braun-nee-Wilcke, and lastly Adolfine Galland. It's like I hit a paradise!~
"Honestly, I wouldn't mind introducing myself to you but I'll make this quick, Keiwa Kaburagi." Adolfine continued as she placed her left hand on her hip with a soft carefree smile on her face. "Adolfine Galland, Commodore and General of the Witch Corps from Karlsland. At your service.~"
"And don't forget… Back in our world, Commodore Galland is trusted by the Emperor of Karlsland." Bronislava as this brought great shock.
"W-Wait! For real!?" I asked her as she nodded.
"That's right. Though, the past is the past. We're living in the present now and it's my job to keep track, watch and look over currently active JFW units such as the 503rd." Adolfine continues. "Anyways, It's good to step away from all of the excruciating paperwork now that I'm here. As I said before, I'm here to bring you guys to welcome Typhoon Witches' newest member. Speaking of which… They're already here."
Adolfine took notice of this as we all heard a plane getting closer and closer. We all headed outside of the hangar to see what appears to be a C-47 Skytrain landing on the runway with the landing gear active. The Skytrain had a JASDF paint with the insignia on it so it's there, I guess. As the plane slows down and stops. The side door opens as we all saw where their newest member would appear… And just as my eyes saw… It was none other than…
"T-Tomoko-san?" I said her name… The one who saved my life. She begins to step out of the plane the moment she notices me.
"Keiwa… I see you're still alive." Tomoko then approached me. Though, I was surprised that she is somewhat worried after the stunt I pulled off yesterday back at town. "Are you unharmed?"
"Y-Yeah… I thanked Konbei for ya." I said to her as I remained calm. "So uhh… How did your film go?"
"It went splendidly." Tomoko continued. "The production is in the process of finishing it so one day you might as well see it in theaters."
"I'll think about it. But you needn't look after me, Tomoko. I can do things on my own, you know?" I reassured her as she shook her head.
"I cannot, Keiwa. Think about what the girls have done to you! Surely you were treated harshly, no?" Tomoko then asked me as I looked at the Typhoon Witches and Alexandra who were trying to keep their mouths shut as they started to feel bad… Guess I gotta vouch for them…
"Nope. No harm done." I lied to her as she believed my word. The Witches decided to have a sigh of relief, they would not imagine what would happen if I told the truth.
"Thank goodness…" Tomoko said with relief until she turned around to glare at them as she had an ominous aura. "If I see you done any harm to my Slave… I shall show no mercy… Are we clear?"
Ottilie, Waltruad, Fumiyo, and Galina all gulped as Rosalie was standing there as she wasn't involved with it. Of course, she did look after me.
"Good.~" Tomoko said with a gleeful response.
"Ahaha! Anyways, but that's not all." Adolfine continued. "Alexandra, I'm providing you a new member for your platoon. You can come out now."
Suddenly, there was another one. A woman who wore a traditional hakama with black long hair as she exited out of the plane as she held a sheathed katana in her hand. By the looks of her… I can tell she's experienced with a katana compared to me… I wonder if she does kendo, too? However, Alexandra immediately recognizes her as she saluted her. The woman saluted her back.
"It is an honor to meet you in this world we live in, Major Sakamoto." Alexandra continued. "Welcome to the platoon. I'm currently the leader but I'm more than willing to appoint you as the Squad Leader of this group."
"Thank you, Serbanescu." The woman continued as she looked at us and Aurora. "Are these the only members here?"
"Yes. But I think you'll get used to it." Alexandra replied as she seemingly understands.
"Umm? Alexandra? Who's she?" I asked her as she explained.
"Address me as Leader, idiot…" Alexandra continued. "This woman is none other than the Imperial Fuso's pride herself. The former witch and ex-member of the 501st JFW Strike Witches… Major Mio Sakamoto."
"I knew I saw her from somewhere…" Aurora pondered as I looked at her. What does she mean by that?
"Hmm?" Mio then looked at Aurora as if she knew her. "If I'm correct… You must be the older sister of Eila, am I correct?"
"That's right, Major. Lieutenant Aurora Edith Juutilainen, at your service." Aurora then saluted at her. I remember Aurora telling me stories about her sister. Like how she is the Diamond Ace because of her god-tier magic ability as a Witch… I think it was called Foresight. The reason why I said it's 'god-tier' is because you know freakin overpowered it is! If I had Foresight, I'd be a god. But sadly… I don't have one so I'm just a background character instead. Then, I looked at Tomoko since I needed to ask her.
"Hey, Tomoko-san… about Konbei…" I asked her as she listened. "Sorry that I had to take your familiar from you since I had to stop the psycho. After all, I… fed him with my blood."
"Please don't mind it, Keiwa. You did what's best to save the town from chaos. But rest assured, Konbei is your friend. But remember that we need to share depending on the situation. However, I will make sure to… reprimand him." Tomoko then considered that we both hear Konbei in our head.
"Ojou-sama! You can't possibly…!" Konbei was surprised but concerned.
"Please go easy on him. However, I will allow you to take his blood but make sure you keep yourself in check. Is that okay?" Tomoko said as we heard Konbei sighing.
"If I must… but remember, you are my highest priority of protection no matter what!" Konbei said as I kinda shrugged.
"Well, no matter what you'll tell him, he'll remain the same. But rest assured, I'll use Konbei when I'm in a pinch." I said to her as she smiled. Then, Adolfine approached us as she spoke.
"Now then, are you all done talking? I have information about what's going on so listen up." Adolfine then proceeds to tell us of the information as we listened… "Just today, three JMSDF patrol boats were destroyed by what appeared to be red lasers during their investigation of missing crewmen on a fishing boat. I can confirm to you that the enemy we're facing is none other than our old enemy… the Neuroi."
"They're… They're back?" Rosalie said with concern.
"They have most likely chased after us ever since we came here to this world." Adolfine continued. "Of course, the 503rd JFW Typhoon Witches will be assisting the 508th JFW Mighty Witches along with the JMSDF and the JASDF in this upcoming sortie."
"It's just like the Fuso Sea Incident again…" Tomoko frowned as she remembered it in her mind.
"Sadly, it is." Adolfine continued. "Japan's Prime Minister, Princess Shino intends to send herself into the battlefield in order to prove herself that the Japanese military is the strongest."
"Wait seriously!?" I continued. "Why would she do that?"
"That's her reason. I did have a chat with her before I picked up Mio and visited you guys about this situation. While dealing with a Neuroi is more than enough… Anti-Witch Groups are stepping out of the shadows." Adolfine said as she mentioned them. The guys who hate Witches for various reasons.
"And that's where we come in…" Aurora spoke as the Commodore nodded.
"That's right. While the Typhoon Coffin Platoon isn't designed to fight Neurois in the air. Think of a comparison between this and a PMC. But that's not the point. I'm sure Serbanescu has a task for you three." Adolfine then shifts her eyes at Alexandra as she notices, clearing her throat and speaks.
"Ahem… I will be helping Commander Safonov and the Typhoon Witches on this operation. But I want you to evacuate as many civilians as possible. We cannot allow them to remain here and get hurt." Alexandra commanded us as I spoke in.
"H-Hold up! We don't know where the Neuroi is heading towards, right? We know it's in the Sea of Japan… but in what direction?" I asked Alexandra and possibly everyone. Good thing the Witches here gave me information of what the Neurois are the first time I joined here.
"My guess is that the Neuroi will potentially reach Shousetsu in thirty minutes if left unchecked." Aoldfine continued. "But as for myself… I will be helping you all."
"C-Commodore, with all due respect. Your magic is…" Bronislava tried to talk to her as she shook her head.
"Don't worry. I am over 20. But that doesn't mean my life as a Witch is over yet. Let alone the retirement plan itself." Adolfine continued. "While Princess Shino handles most of the JSDF units. I myself will take temporary command of both the 503rd and the 508th."
"Then it is an honor to work with you, Commodore. We won't let you down." Bronislava said to her as the Typhoon Witches saluted in response in hopes to do their best. The rest saluted but I didn't. Not a fan of playing soldier anyways.
"Thank you. And with that… Operation Glacial Storm commences!" Adolfine announces this operation as they all were prepared for this moment.
"Excuse me?" I asked as I caught her attention. "We don't have guns."
"Don't worry, it's already here." Adolfine said until I looked up to see a large supply crate falling down slowly from the parachute. As it landed, Aurora would be the first to open it thanks to her strength. And just as she did… It was a weapon crate. Filled with… just only World War 2 weapons… and they appear to be Karlslandian made.
"Ehh…?" Galina was rather disappointed. "We were expecting modern weaponry…"
"It'll come… eventually. It's not easy to ask the military for modern weaponry. For now, just imagine that we're back in our world fighting our enemy." Adolfine said to them as Bronislava took the LMG.
"She's right. We'll get our hands on it one day." Bronislava then cocked her MG42 as she inspected it. Hey… I want that!
So, I looked at the line of MG42s available since it's one of the German LMGs… or Karlslandian LMGs now. Trust me, I played Honor of Duty Modern Warfare Re:BOOT and Honor of Duty Vanguard when it comes to being a serious FPS gamer. Man, those were the times. So I tried to grab the MG42 and hold it with my two hands… Holy shit! It's heavy! My arms are shaking from its weight! I looked at Bronislava where she held it with ease but I didn't! However, Aurora easily took it from me as she also held it easily.
"I don't think you're quite ready to use it just yet, Keiwa. All the firepower could hurt you. So I'll give you something that is easier to use. Here." Aurora then picked off a weapon for me as I took it from her and to my surprise… a MP-40…
"The hell…" I said silently to myself. Now this is what I call… the downside of being a background character… a Mob… per usual.
IJN Shokaku, Sea of Japan, Japan Daytime - Clouded Snow
Third Person POV
The IJN Shokaku, one of Japan's finest Aircraft Carriers from the World War 2 era. However, this was not Japan's ship… but of Fuso. The flag of Fuso along with its naval flag division was swayed by the wind. Shokaku isn't the only aircraft carrier here in the sea. The USS Enterprise and the HMS Victorious were present as well with their respective flags that came from their world. Thus, they are known as the 508th Joint Fighter Wing Mighty Witches. This JFW consists of Witches hailing primarily Liberion and Fuso. America and Japan respectively. And one Brittanian… or Great Britain in real world terms. Of course, each of the members are present here.
[Jane S. Thatch - Wing Commander - Liberion/America]
[Mie Shindou - Squadron Leader - Fuso/Japan]
[Takami Karibuchi - Flight Lieutenant - Fuso/Japan]
[Delia M. Jeram - Flight Lieutenant - Britannia/Great Britain]
[Cecilia E. Harris - Flying Officer - Liberion/America]
[Jamie E. Swett - Flying Officer - Liberion/America]
[Dorothy Baker - Flying Officer - Liberion/America]
[Shouko Matsuda - Flying Officer - Fuso/Japan]
[Sadae Kobayashi - Flying Officer - Fuso/Japan]
However, there was someone flying all over the sky to the point where the Witch hovered on the runway… a brown haired and brown-eyed witch who wore what appeared to be a tight suit with revealing skin and a decent bust size but the colors are very similar to a Japanese WW2 fighter plane like white and military green. Not only that, she has wings with gun barrels on each side while under the wings show the landing gear slightly half open as the wheels are glowing, and she has a small magic propeller attached on her collar. And on the side of her wings has two attached missiles on each wing as it was seemingly magic-powered and homing-based. Her familiar is a Red-crowned crane as she was seen adjusting her new modern weaponry she had received from the JSDF. It was a Signal 50 Sniper Rifle. The good thing about it is that it was modified to be magic-powered so it could do twice the damage onto armored vehicles like tanks thanks to its 50 Cal. Of course, she is none other than Takami Karibuchi herself. And she is indeed piloting one of the rumored Strikers that is considered as an upgrade called the Striker Arm. As expected with Striker Units, it is also based on a model of a WW2 plane. For Takami, it's the same as usual. Again, Striker Arms have more maneuverability and speed compared to the Units that the Witches use. Sadly, this is the tenth Striker Arm made and the mass-production isn't easy.
"Amazing… so this is the true capabilities of the Striker Arm…" The voice of another woman who wore her white Fusoan military uniform as she has black short hair. She is Mie Shindou, Takami's ally and member of the Mighty Witches.
"It truly is. Professor Miyafuji has done it again. Hopefully, the mass-production will happen soon so we can protect the skies once more." Takami said with a smile on her face as she looked to her left where she saw a young man wearing what appears to be a headset as he was sitting with his legs crossed on the wooden runway. He seems to be holding the controller, too. "Tendou-kun? You do know it's not safe to sit in the middle of the runway. You could get hurt.~"
"Don't worry, Onee-san…" The young man named Tendou spoke as he had black hair but it was a bit messy as he took off his headset where his drone was hovering next to him as it landed, the propeller slowed down and stopped as he picked it up. "I just needed a better view of the layout before this ugly war begins…"
[Tendou "Beholder" Karibuchi - Technical Drone Operator - Japan]
Tendou Karibuchi, he was not from their world. But this world. Hailing from Japan, he was a high school dropout based on his life. Born and raised in Sasebo like Takami along with her sister whom she was not present at the time. He once had parents when he was in high school during his freshman year. But… the past always haunts him. He lost both of them in a fatal car accident which left him neglected. Thus, causing him to drop out and try to survive by working part-time jobs. All he ever did is live a mundane life. A boring life that all people have. He never had any ideas on his future. Of course, that was when the Witches as well as human survivors from the World of the Witches came to this world. He remembered it in his mind when he was approached by the Karibuchi family from the previous world. Takami has a sister named Hikari who was too shy to meet him. Of course, this was when the Cultural Exchange Act was in place before it was removed when he once joined as a volunteer member. Of course, there he was at one of the buildings of Sasebo where the Exchange Act Program was happening. Of course, that was when he met them. Introduced himself. The family were surprised that he is a Karibuchi from this world. He told them their story of how he lived a terrible, mundane life and lost everything. Of course, that was when the family decided to take him in as the latest member of the family. Being the middle brother of the three. Takami as his older sister. And Hikari as his younger sister. And his "new" parents… his father works at the radio station for the JMSDF while his mother remains at home. Of course, he was slightly happy that he earned his "happy" ending. But not an "ending" but a continuation of his usual life. As time passes when the Cultural Exchange Act finally drops as it was no longer needed. The world has changed since society continued as usual. Though, he did pick up a new hobby… playing with Drones. With his hard earned money he bought with. He somehow managed to find something that is fun. Of course, it would help him understand the layouts of the land in Sasebo. Of course, he has a talent for understanding layout. He doesn't have magic. But his brain allowed him to remember those layouts. Of course, time went on. All but most Joint Fighter Wings like the Mighty Witches were being reformed smoothly in this world all thanks to Witch Corps and the Commodore named Adolfine Galland. Takami rejoined the 508th JFW and Hikari left Sasebo to rejoin the 502nd JFW known as Brave Witches. Of course, Takami would come home from time to time as she would still be hailed as the Hero of Sasebo, only back in her world. But she no longer has that title anymore. As for him… he begins to sink his mind as the flashback begins to play.
[Flashback - Tendou's Purpose]
It was sunset where Tendou was walking his way home after taking up a volunteer job to clean the training Striker Units at the newly built Sasebo Flight Aviation Preparatory School. A school where they train young Witches to fly and fight. Of course, they need it and continue what they do in case of future threats like the Neuroi. And worse… Anti-Witch Group. Of course, the Witches aren't too thrilled about killing a human being. Indeed, they were aware of this world's past actions of what the horrors of war would be like without Neuroi but in the end, it's only a reality. He looked at his paycheck as he counted the paper money of Yen. It was enough to buy a certain amount of food. Then…
First Person POV (Tendou)
I noticed to see on my left… Of course, Owlson… Always open 24/7… That's a good thing, I guess. Working at volunteer jobs that my parents recommended to me somehow paid off. Fumika and Mie were the nicest Witches to talk to ever since I worked there. Cleaning the Striker Unit was all new but I got used to it. I recall Mie being the member of the Mighty Witches so I assume that she's taking her role as a Witch seriously. So, I decided to head inside and buy something. I begin to reminisce of myself… ever since their parents took me in as the middle member of the family. I feel like I've gotten back to my old life. Weird, isn't it? As I headed inside as the door opened itself, emitting a sound. The clerk was minding his own business. So, I headed to the section where I wanted to get myself some bowls of instant ramen. You can never go without it. Just as my hand was about to reach it… I stopped and heard something… A woman… I turned to my left and saw with my own eyes… Takami… My older sister is from this family we're part of. Her face was blushing with astonishment. She's still wearing her "Fusoan" military uniform with no pants as usual… However, she was reading something… a men's magazine for women? And it's about the top ten handsome guys who have this much popularity in Japan. I noticed a person on the cover who has blonde hair and a streak of red on the front on the right side… Eugh… That's the guy named Muzan Kirijo… he's a total narcissist of a dickhead. He may look handsome, sure. But I hate his guts… I see him on Television talk shows where he's popular with women because of his unparalleled beauty and how he manages his own hostess club in Tokyo's red-light district! Even to the point where he even started his own UChu channel with over 10 million subscribers. Actually, the Witches at the Aviation Prep School have been mentioning that guy when I was cleaning. Fumika and Mie were aware of that guy. Even to the point where the society and the internet started calling him, "The Prince Charming of Tokyo".
"M-Muzan…" Takami said the name of the guy as it made me concerned… I need to snap her out of it. So, I had to focus and act confused.
"Uhh… Onee-san?" I called her out as she noticed.
"U-UWWAH!~" Takami jumped a bit as she looked at me. "T-Tendou-kun? What are you doing here?"
"That's my line…" I continued as I looked at her holding that magazine. "What is it you're reading?"
"Ahh, this?" Takami continued as she showed it to me. "This 'magazine' you people call is really interesting. There is one person by the name of Muzan Kirijo of how he became the Prince Charming of Tokyo. Isn't he interesting?~"
"Err… Yeah but… Don't you already have Ryoji-san as your boyfriend? You were dating him a week ago, right?" I asked her about her boyfriend that she has been dating.
She told me that his name was Ryoji Inumuta. She said that she met him during her time in Tokyo when she wanted to explore on her own. Apparently, Ryoji is a 19-year old college student who plays rugby. And mind if I tell you that he's well damn good at it. Before she would get used to using smartphones. She would tell stories of how his team won against the other team from Hokkaido. Sure, cool story.
"You're right! How could I ever forget? No way I'll ever betray Ryoji-kun. He's been too nice to me, you know?" Takami said as she remained calm, putting the magazine away. "Anyways, I was here to buy something."
"Same." I continued. "I am buying something so one of us will have to cook today. So… maybe you should do it?"
"Oh you.~" Takami giggled. "Very well, I have some recommendations in mind in order to have a healthy lifestyle. Don't you think so?"
And so… she would take the reins on buying the ingredients while I have to pay… As soon as we headed out of the store. With our bags in hand. We continue to walk down the streets of Sasebo as everything here has been a quiet life.
"Say, Tendou-kun?" Takami asked.
"Yes?" I replied.
"I heard Oto-san that you have a talent in… aerial reconnaissance with that small flying machine of yours?" Takami then mentioned my hobby… or rather my talent.
"It's called a drone. People buy it just to take in the view." I explained to her about it as she seemingly understands it.
"I see… I did peek inside your room of how you have the whole map of Sasebo laid out. You… drew it, right?" Takami asked.
"Yes… Also, I didn't recall that I allowed you to peek in my room." I said to her bluntly but calmly.
"G-Gomen! I just wanted to have a look, that's all!" Takami apologized, but remained calm and continued. "Though… perhaps with your skills… you could help the Witches and the military. Wouldn't you think so?"
"What do you mean by that?" I asked her about it.
"Imagine your skills that could be deployed on the battlefield. With that drone of yours, you can help lead as an operator and to make missions a bit easier." Takami said as she would imagine that… would my skill be even useful? However, I need to understand her.
"So with my skills… Wait, don't tell me… Are you telling me to…?" I asked her as she nodded with a kind smile. I knew my older sister would think so.
"That's right. Would you like to join the 508th as an Operator Personnel? But don't worry, I'll try to convince Wing Commander Thatch about your skills so she'll definitely accept you. Not a bad deal, right?~" Takami then offered me a chance… a chance to put my skills to use. It seems now that I have a purpose in life… to help lead the Witches to ensure their safety. I had a small smile when I thought about it. Of course…
"Yeah… However." I continued. "Since I paid… That means you have to cook."
"Yes, yes…~ I'm well aware. I'll try to talk to Thatch tomorrow to see if she'll take you in." Takami said as we both continued to walk down the street in order to head home… And that was the story of how I became their AWACS… their Operator.
[Flashback End]
Third Person POV
As Tendou begins to finish remembering his past and how he got here… Thatch took interest in him because of his skills. Therefore, he eventually joined as the 508th JFW's first AWACS… aka their Operator. Thus, he took on the callsign [Beholder]. The callsign was based on some lovecraftian horror of the name as it revolves an eye.
"Tendou-kun?" Takami called her as he snapped out of it as he quickly stood up.
"S-Sorry… I was just remembering the past for a small moment, Onee-san." I said as I was interrupted by Mie.
"Tendou. You are to address her as Flight Lieutenant Karibuchi. That is how we work here." Mie corrected me sternly as I sighed.
"Uh huh… And what will you address me, then?" Tendou asked back at Shindou.
"You will be addressed as Operator Karibuchi to ensure no confusion. Does this explanation suffice?" Mie said as he seemingly nodded.
"It'll suffice." Tendou continued. "Remind me why we're here nearly in the middle of the Sea of Japan? Plus, we can see Shousetsu from afar."
"A Neuroi is hiding among the clouds." The voice of another Witch spoke as the three looked up where Jane Thatch was seen hovering in the sky with her Striker Unit. "Plus, there's been some changes."
"What changes, Commander Thatch?" Mie asked.
"Commodore Galland will be taking part of the battle and we'll be under her temporary command on both the 508th and the 503rd." Jane explained the changes as it surprised them.
"Already? This… this is too sudden. But I do not mind regardless." Mie continued. "Should we get ready?"
"Definitely, the carriers are in positions so no problems there." Jane replied as she looked at Tendou. "Operator Karibuchi, please head to the command bridge and prepare yourself."
"You got it…" Tendou said as he was about to move until a slip on the wood caused him to throw off balance. "W-Whoa!"
Then… his face would fall onto…
[BOING!~]
Right between Takami's breasts face first… Takami's face turns red as she blushes madly, causing her Striker Arm's engine to sputter out smoke in response as she moaned but resisted. Mie blushed but was infuriated.
"Y-You fool! What are you doing!? You have the audacity to do something perverted, don't you!?" Mie was angry for a reason for a simple accident as Tendou would quickly look at her as he was blushing.
"I-It's not my fault that this rust bucket didn't upgrade to replace wood with asphalt!" Tendou retorted back as he began criticizing the aircraft carrier. The workers on the carrier began looking at the bickering as they all sweatdrops in the process. Jane sighed as well as the conversation would go on as the wait continued…
503rd JFW Base, Shousetsu, Japan Daytime - Clouded Snow
Meanwhile back at the 503rd Base… The focus shows Fumiyo and the others at the Striker Hangar as she runs and jumps as her legs fit right into the Striker Unit as it begins to roar to life. There, her familiar activates as the magic circle appears below her as it was large. The others did the same as they grabbed their weapons they're equipped with. Adolfine had already done the same as her Spitfire Striker Unit sputters but still continues to work.
"LAUNCH!" All Witches present in this hangar said in unison as the holder unlocked them as they all proceeded to fly into the sky from the runway. With the Commodore taking the lead, they flew in a V-formation as Fumiyo as joined by Rosalie and Ottilie.
"I'm so stoked to shoot up some Neurois again!~" Ottilie said with confidence as she wielded a MG42 in her hand. However, Fumiyo is holding the same LMG but she realizes that she has forgotten something.
"E-Ehh!?" Fumiyo begins to fluster as Rosalie looks at her.
"What's wrong, Kawaguchi?" Rosalie said to her.
"My katana…" Fumiyo said as she whimpered. "I left my Katana back at base…"
Downtown, Shousetsu, Japan Daytime - Clouded Snow
First Person POV (Keiwa)
"Sorry, Fumiyo-san… I'll be borrowing this…" I said to myself as I looked at the sword that Fumiyo uses. Though, I suppose I had no choice but to use it for my own reasons. If Mio-san gets to have a katana. Then so can I. I looked at the contrails from the skies where Adolfine and the Typhoon Witches have already begun flying their way to the sea.
"Are you sure it's wise to steal it from Kawaguchi?" Mio asked me as I looked at her.
"Don't worry, I'll apologize to her once this is all over. I just needed an extra reach." I reassured her about it as she believes me. Of course, we were on a large wagon with Aurora pulling it with her Tank Striker. She's moving on her tank treads as she focuses on moving down the road. Of course, we're tasked with the evacuation to ensure the safety of the people as what Alexandra told us. It's a simple mission, yes. But we're pretty much not capable of fighting against the Neurois in the air. If Mio was a Witch again, she'd join them in a heartbeat.
"Anabuki told me that you were a victim from the Tokyo Dome Incident, correct?" Mio continued. "Heard words that the Anti-Witch Group tossed a dangerous gas that nearly killed you."
"Yeah… it wasn't a pleasant experience. I lost Tatsumi from it as a result." I said to her, knowing my PTSD would kick in. I looked down on myself to see my hands.
"And she made you her Slave after you accepted her contract. In turn, your Desires were taken away." Mio added as I nodded.
"Correct. Though, I should thank her for allowing me to live in this world. And yet… Yet…" I tried to speak but.
"Kaburagi." Mio called me as I looked at her. "Don't dwell on that darkness. Focus on what's ahead."
"T-Thank you, Mio-san." I thanked as she nodded back at me with a small smile. I looked at Aurora as she listened to our conversation.
Though, she didn't mind it as she had a smile on her face but we all have to focus on our mission. We're already downtown… and the police have begun acting to help us in the process of evacuation. However, before we headed off… I remembered one thing from Adolfine when I talked to her when they were getting ready.
[Flashback - Kaburagi and Galland]
With the Typhoon Witches preparing themselves with all the arsenal they need. I took some extra magazines for the MP-40. Aurora had already gotten on her Tank Striker as her familiar activates while Mio got on the wagon. Of course, I wanted to talk to her.
"Adolfine. Wait." I asked her as she turned around.
"What is it, Keiwa?" Adolfine replied as I spoke. Though… I was nervous.
"I uhh… umm…" Of course, It was hard talking to a beauty like her. I was blushing like crazy and she saw right through me.
"Ahh, let me think… you're having a hard time talking to me, right?" Adolfine continued as I looked at her. "I understand how you feel. How about this…"
"I-I'm listening…" I replied. She had her hand on her hip with a smirk on her face. Though, I am listening…
"If you can pull this off on this operation. Let's say… taking on a Neuroi in the sky… I'll reward you something nice.~ How's that?" Adolfine said to me with a condition as this caused me to renew my vigor.
"Y-Yes, Ma'am! I'll definitely pull this off! Just watch and learn!" I said with confidence as the flashback ended.
[Flashback End]
Now… I have a purpose… If I want to make Adolfine proud… Then I'll make her proud! There's no turning back. We're dragging ourselves into a new battlefield. A new war for me. But an old familiar war for them. This life is worth fighting for…!
Sea of Japan, Japan Daytime - Clouded Snow
Third Person POV
Meanwhile at the Sea of Japan… the 508th JFW Mighty Witches began to take off on their respective aircraft carriers based on their nationality as they flew right into the sky the moment they saw the Commodore and the 503rd. Tendou was seen inside the command bridge with the people where he was at his own table where he takes his controller and puts on his headset as the drone takes off into the sky to gain enough height. World War 2 fighter planes such as the Zeros began taking off from the runway of the ships. As well as the Dauntless and the Spitfires. However, there were lines of Japanese bombers such as the G5N1 Shinzan flying in the sky. Inside the bomb bay where the Fusoan Witches were seen with their eyes closed as they were waiting to be dropped once the battle started. Back at the sea… The Commodore arrived with both the 503rd and the 508th as they all hovered in the sky.
"This is Commodore Adolfine Galland, I'll be leading the charge on this operation this time around. So you best be ready for what's to come!" Adolfine said as all the Witches complied.
Meanwhile… Princess Shino was seen on her Striker with her sheathed katana within as she brought her own army… the JASDF's Fuso Unit and a whole fleet of Japanese modern battleships and aircraft carriers. However, more Zeros began taking off into the skies from the carrier as it was easier thanks to asphalt. Princess Shino wore her different military navy uniform from her world as it was blackish-violet in some sense as she wore knee high socks that reached her thighs. She has long black hair and bushy-like brows but not too bushy. She had red eyes as she focused on what's ahead.
"Everyone! The time is now! We have waited for this moment! We will never run away nor surrender to our enemies. We shall bring fear and show power! We are Japan's pride itself!" Princess Shino announces with her serious confidence.
At Tokyo where at Shibuya Crossing where the large TV screen switches into a live footage of the preparation of the war against the Neuroi. Everyone stopped as they all began to watch. Even people at the cafe, stores, and at home are also watching it. Everyone all over Japan is watching it.
Meanwhile back at Shousetsu where the mysterious white long haired man with a tower shield on his back was watching the preparation from afar of the sea. And so… the war will soon begin…
[A NEW WAR SPARKS! 503RD, 508TH, AND JAPAN'S MILITARISTIC MIGHT VERSUS THE NEUROI.]

Author's Notes: This is part one of The Battle of Sea of Japan Arc. And yes, it'll be split in two parts so it'll save me some time. Returning characters from Witch Musume such as Tendou Karibuchi is back with his new role. With battle soon starting, it seems Keiwa aka the background character aka a Mob is going to have his hands full… Not just Neurois. But someone is going to crash the party uninvited. So yeah, be sure to look forward to it. Until then, peace out!
