Anyway, onto the story
Chapter 3: Aftermath of the fight… and a declaration of war?!
Rito, Lala, Haruna, Run and Ren collected their belongings (and Celine) and left the school. However, before they all parted ways, Ren turned to Rito with a scowl.
(Ren): YUUKI, YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS.
With that ominous warning, Ren and Run started to head home with Run still in tears and still having a beaten up looking face. Of course, Run wasn't the only one who was beaten up and in tears.
(Haruna): *Sob* *Sniffle*
Haruna's tears were flowing freely down her black and blue face. Rito and Lala ran to Haruna's side to comfort her.
(Rito): Sairenji!
(Haruna): Yuuki-kun, I *Sniffle*...
Haruna couldn't even get any words out. She collapsed into Rito's arms and broke down into a stronger outpouring of tears.
(Rito): You don't have to say anything Sairenji. Lala and I will walk you home.
(Haruna): Okay.
Rito, Lala and Haruna started walking towards Haruna's house. Eventually they arrived and Haruna invited them inside. Upon entering the house, they found Akiho in the kitchen.
(Akiho): Haruna, you're home alre…*looks up to see Haruna* OH MY GOSH! HARUNA WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!
Akiho runs to Haruna with worry on her face and embraces her.
(Haruna): *In tears* Onee-chan, I got beaten up in a fight and I got suspended for a week.
(Akiho): You got into a fight?! With whom? Who did this to you?
(Lala): It was a girl named Run. Run started the fight by punching both me and Haruna in the face. Then, Haruna got up and retaliated. They fought for a little while, but in the end Haruna got beaten up and fell unconscious. In my anger at seeing this, I subsequently beat up Run.
(Akiho): Seriously?! Well, did this Run girl get suspended too? Also, how did this fight even start?
(Rito): Well, to answer your first question, yes Run got suspended. In fact, 5 students got suspended. Those students were myself, Lala, Haruna, Run, and Run's brother Ren. As for how the fight started, well…
Rito proceeds to explain to Akiho the events that led up to the fight, as well as the aftermath in Mikado's office and the ultimate suspension.
(Akiho): Wow Yuuki. You were just plain wrong for that.
(Rito): Yeah, I know. I realized that a little too late.
(Akiho): Well, as long as you realize it. Even so, that girl still had no right to get violent with Lala and Haruna. Anyway, Yuuki and Lala, since you two are here, make yourselves at home. I'm about to head out.
(Rito/Lala): Thank you.
With this, Akiho heads out. Rito, Lala and Haruna go to the living room and sit down on the carpet. By this point, Haruna had stopped crying for the most part.
(Haruna): What are we going to do? What am I going to do? I've never been so humiliated in my life! Run beat me up in front of everyone. There were even people recording and taking pictures. And from what I heard…she stripped me naked?! Oh my gosh! What if that got recorded too? What if these videos leak online? I'm ruined! How am I going to show my face at school again?!
(Rito): This is quite dire indeed. However, Lala and I will be with you every step of the way.
(Lala): Yeah. And besides, Run got beaten up too, so you're not alone in your humiliation. If anything, given Run's idol status, she is more likely to get more public scrutiny.
(Haruna): Yeah, that's true. Even so, I'm the class representative, an honor student and a member of the tennis team. While I don't really care so much about popularity, I can't help but flinch at the damage that my image will take from this event. Also, if naked photos or videos of me get out…oh my gosh!
Rito and Lala don't know what to say to this. The two of them continued to comfort Haruna for a while longer, as the three of them got some snacks, and then Rito and Lala left to go home.
Meanwhile, back at the school, it was lunch time. As can be expected when school fights occur, the gossip and rumor mill was abuzz. Lala, Haruna and Run were the talk of the school. Of course, Rito's presence at the center of that conflict did not go unnoticed by the rumor mill either.
(Student 1): Did you hear that Run-chan got beaten up?
(Student 2): Yeah, but who beat her up? I heard that she fought both that girl Lala, as well as class 2A's representative. Haruna Sairenji is her name right?
(Student 3): Yeah. From what I heard, Run beat Sairenji up, and then Lala beat up Run.
(Student 4): Does anyone know why this fight happened?
(Student 1): I heard that it started when Run just stole off on Lala and Sairenji. I think it all revolved around that Rito Yuuki guy.
(Student 2): Really? I heard that Haruna started the fight. Although, I did hear that Yuuki had something to do with it.
(Student 3): I heard that Lala started the fight.
Conversations like this were abuzz all over the school. Meanwhile, the familiar cast of characters were having their own conversations.
(Momo): This is bad. This is very bad for the harem plan.
(Nemesis): I'll say. For as much as it amuses me to see Haruna of all people duking it out, it would be very bad to have there be animosity between the harem candidates.
(Momo): Exactly. And that's assuming that Run still is a harem candidate to begin with. Like I said earlier, Rito does bear some fault for all of this. If Run hates Rito now, then that's one less harem girl. However, it gets even worse than that. If the other girls end up siding with Run on this issue, Rito may lose favor with the other girls too!
(Mea): So then I guess Rito, Lala and Haruna need to make up with Run posthaste.
(Momo): Yes, and we need to make sure that there is no bad blood between Rito and the rest of the harem members too.
Suddenly, Momo's cell phone buzzes. Elsewhere, Nana's phone also buzzes. Both girls have received the same text message from Lala.
(Lala's text message): Just wanted to let you guys know that Rito and I are going home. We already took Haruna home. Haruna, Rito and I (along with Run and Ren) got suspended from school for a week.
(Momo): Suspension?! This is not good. I have to head home right now.
Momo runs away and out of the school, heading back home.
Meanwhile, Nana was conversing with Yui.
(Nana): Are you serious?! I can't believe this whole ordeal! Big sister and Haruna of all people getting suspended for fighting?! And to think… it's all that jerk Rito's fault! And to think I kissed him.
(Yui): Yeah… wait…YOU WHAT?!
(Nana): N…Nothing! I was just talking about a strange dream that I had in which I kissed Rito. W…Why would I ever kiss that beast?
(Yui): *Eyes Nana with suspicion* Right… Well anyway, you are right in that it is surprising that Sairenji especially would stoop to this level.
Suddenly, Risa and Mio frantically approach Nana and Yui.
(Risa): Guys, this is really bad! Take a look at this!
Risa pulls out her cell phone and pulls up a YouTube page.
(Risa): Pictures and videos of the fight are already all over the internet!
(Mio): This includes the part where Haruna was naked!
(Yui): What?! Let me see that!
Yui takes the phone from Risa and watches the video. She watches Haruna and Run exchanging blows. She sees Haruna get knocked out and stripped naked. She then watches as Lala pummels Run.
(Yui): This is terrible! Poor Haruna and Run! How humiliating this must be for both of them! Especially Haruna! Not to mention that this is technically a case of child pornography!
(Risa): I am so worried about Haruna. She must be an emotional wreck right now. The same goes for Run, but especially Haruna. Haruna is more meek than Run, so something like this must really shake her up. Not to mention that at least Run got one victory before getting beaten up by Lala. Haruna however, took the first L and got stripped naked and filmed! That was a jerk move on Run's part by the way.
(Mio): Yeah. We should visit Haruna after school today. She could probably use some emotional support.
(Nana): Yeah. As for big sister, I will check on her. It is rare that big sister gets angry like this. (In thought) *Why do I have this bad feeling, as if this ordeal is going to have more consequences?*
Nana had no way of knowing how correct her feeling would turn out to be.
Several hours passed and the school day ended. Nana and Mikan both arrived home. Rito, Lala and Celine had already been home for hours since the former two got suspended. Momo had come home soon after because she was worried about Rito and Lala. Since Rito, Lala and Momo were already home, they decided to save Mikan some time by making dinner ahead of time.
(Mikan): You guys made dinner ahead of time?!
(Momo): Yep.
(Mikan): Wow. What's the occasion?
(Rito): Well, about that…
Rito proceeded to tell Mikan about the fight and the suspension.
(Mikan): YOU GOT SUSPENDED FOR FIGHTING?!
(Rito): Well, Lala, Haruna and Run were the ones doing the fighting, but I was admittedly at the center of the conflict.
(Mikan): Oh my gosh! To think that Lala and even Haruna-san got into a fight and got suspended… And Rito, it sounds like you really were a jerk to Run.
(Rito): Yeah, I know.
(Lala): I will admit that it may have also been partially my fault too.
(Mikan):*Sigh* Well at least you and Lala will be home to watch Celine and take care of the house for the next week.
(Momo): I will be home too.
(Mikan): Wait… what?! Why? Did you get suspended too?
(Momo): No. However, if Rito isn't going to school then I have no reason to go either.
Rito blushes at this statement. Mikan and Nana don a flustered look.
(Mikan): That…
(Nana): M…Momo! You can't just go spouting lines like that!
(Momo): Tee hee hee.
(Nana): Wait… Does this mean I'm going to school alone for the next week?!
(Momo): Yep, but at least you'll have Mikan to keep you company for part of the walk there.
(Mikan): W…Well *whispers to Momo* Don't think that this will be an opportunity for any funny business between you and Rito.
(Momo): *Giggle* Why…whatever do you mean Mikan.
(Mikan): Grrr… Let's just turn on the T.V since we have free time right now.
The residents of the Yuuki house could not have foreseen the shock that they would get upon turning on the T.V.
(News Anchor): Breaking news! Pop idol Run gets beaten up at school after beating up another girl! As some of you may know, the famous idol Run Elsie Jewelria attends the Sainan prefecture's local high school Sainan High. Well, ever since this morning, the internet and social media have been flooded with viral videos and images of a school fight that took place between Run and two other girls. Here is one such video.
The video plays.
(News Anchor): As you can see, Run beat the blue haired girl into unconsciousness before stripping her naked via the use of some strange smoke grenade. Subsequently, the pink haired girl proceeded to violently thrash Run into unconsciousness. Our sources identify the pink haired girl as Lala Satalin Deviluke *shows a picture of Lala*, who is claimed to be the princess of some faraway kingdom. The blue haired girl has been identified to be Haruna Sairenji *shows a picture of Haruna*, an honor student, a member of the school's tennis team and a class representative. It is unknown for certain what the fight was about, but our sources allege that this fight centered around this young man *shows a picture of Rito*. This is Rito Yuuki. According to students that we interviewed at the school, Rito is a 2nd year student at Sainan High who is known for being a massive pervert and a beast whose perversion is second only to that of the school's principal. We don't know why the girls were fighting over him, or if that truly was the real reason behind the fight. However, according to the principal (who we interviewed), all 3 of the girls, as well as Rito and Ren Elsie Jewelria (Run's brother), have been suspended from school for a week. Our reporters tried catching up with Run and her brother earlier for an interview. However, the siblings were unreceptive to inquiry. Observe this footage from when we caught up to them earlier.
Footage shows a few reporters and camera men running up to Run and Ren. Run is desperately trying and failing to hide her face. Ren is trying to shove away reporters.
(Reporter 1): Hey Run, can you tell us about the fight?
(Reporter 2): Who was that girl you beat up, and who was that girl who beat you up?
(Reporter 3): Why were you fighting?
(Ren): Can you leave us alone?! *Shoves reporters*
The footage ends and it returns to the news anchor.
(News Anchor): As you can see, Run clearly had a black eye and a swollen face. Of course, the girl who Run beat up, Haruna Sairenji, also had a black eye and a swollen face *shows one of the viral pictures of Haruna's beaten up face*. It is unknown what developments will come from this conflict, but we will keep you up to date with the latest updates to the best of our ability. Every mouth in the Yuuki household was wide open with shock. Even Celine looked shocked by this situation.
(Mikan): Well Rito, and Lala too… You guys may just want to lay low for a while. Perhaps this suspension will be good for you. And poor Haruna…
(Rito): Yeah…you're right.
The members of the Yuuki household went on to eat dinner in shocked silence.
Later that night, as Rito was preparing for bed, Momo walked into his room.
(Momo): You know Rito, this whole fiasco stems from a bigger problem than just you disregarding Run's feelings and existence this one time.
(Rito): What do you mean?
(Momo): The bigger problem is you just focusing on just one (or even two) girls when you know you possess the hearts of several girls. For example, today, you were so super focused on just big sister and Haruna that you neglected and hurt Run. Of course, that is just one example. Even if today's conflict had not occurred, eventually something like this would have happened. As long as many girls love you, conflict will continue to emerge if you continue to hold to that Earthling ideology of monogamy!
(Rito): Stop it Momo! I know what you're trying to do here. Look, I get what you're going for with the harem plan. You want everyone to be happy. I want everyone to be happy too. However, I just…
(Momo): Can't? Is that what you're going to say? *Sigh* Look Rito, you will soon see that life is bigger than just one person's, or even one planet's, subjective moral code.
With this statement, Momo left the room (only to sneak back in later once Rito was asleep so that she could sneak into his bed as usual). Rito slept uneasily that night, being unaware of what the coming days would bring.
As the night pressed on, a certain royal spaceship floated in space. We see Gid Lucione Deviluke and Sephie Michaela Deviluke locked in a heated video conference with another royal couple.
(?): We demand justice for this humiliation that your daughter has delivered unto my daughter!
(?): That's right! We will not just take this shame lying down!
(Gid): Ha ha ha! And just what are you gonna do about it chumps?!
(Sephie): *Bumps Gid on the arm* Gid! *Looks back at the screen* Please excuse him. As for this issue, we will speak with Lala and get to the bottom of what happened. Won't you please wait a little while for us to talk to our daughter… Jack Joseph Jewelria and Lisa Light Jewelria?
The people that Gid and Sephie were talking to were Jack Joseph Jewelria and Lisa Light Jewelria, the father and mother of Run and Ren, and the king and queen of Memorze.
(Jack): We will not wait for anything! Regardless of the reason, your daughter beat up and humiliated our daughter!
(Lisa): Ever since our kids went to Earth, we have been keeping up with Earthling affairs, and we acquired a way to watch Earthling broadcasts so that we could watch our daughter's performances on T.V. As such, we were able to see that news broadcast. We immediately recognized Princess Lala in that video, and we also immediately recognized the shape that she left our poor baby's face in!
(Sephie): Well, as far as I saw in that video that you showed us, your daughter Princess Run provoked Lala by beating up and stripping that other girl. You saw it too right? Shouldn't you at least question your daughter about the reasons behind that?
(Jack): We don't give a rat's rear end about that other girl! We will not tolerate having our daughter, the princess of Memorze, being beaten black and blue! Besides, after seeing the news broadcast, we contacted our kids and had them tell us the story. It would seem that the fight started because Run was hurt and disrespected by that boy Rito Yuuki, who we happen to know to be your daughter's fiance and the man that our daughter fancies for whatever reason. We demand justice!
(Gid): And just what kind of justice would you demand?
(Jack): We will give you three options. The first option is for you to relinquish your successor Rito Yuuki to us Memorzians for Rito to become betrothed to Run instead of Lala. I'm proposing this option only because I know that Run still loves Rito, and it will also hurt Lala to lose her fiance. The second option is for you to publicly execute Rito Yuuki for his disrespect for our daughter. This will also suitably hurt Lala. The final option is to have Lala issue a public apology to our daughter on camera while either doing it in the nude or alternatively allowing herself to be beaten up on camera!
(Gid): And what if we refuse all 3 options?
(Jack): Then you better warn your daughter, Rito Yuuki, and all of Earth better watch their backs!
