bopdog111: Well now we're here with the second of our Interference series with the anime that should've been in the original Arc-V.
Ulrich362: True, the Ritual Dimension and the original Duel Monsters.
bopdog111: And of course the most ridiculous duel last chapter is over with so no more Pegasus Rules for real now.
Ulrich362: Exactly, the time limit rule was really kind of dumb but moving forward duels are going to be very consistent.
bopdog111: I was more referring to the tape but oh well. But we won't have a duel for this chapter at least not a official one since we will be focusing over some other things. Oh, and to remind you guys Gale ISN'T a Bracelet Girl this time around.
Ulrich362: Exactly, well with that said, enjoy the chapter.

It was a sunset over Domino Junior High with Yugi, and Yuji alone at the rooftop just thinking about what had happened last night. The Shadow Game between Yugi, and Pegasus ended with Pegasus winning from a hair by the time limit, and now Solomon's soul was taken by him so they now have to attend the Duelist Kingdom in order to get his soul back which is a lot to think about due to a lot of powerful players facing them in the tournament.
'How did I get into this mess? I can't believe that grandpa's actually gone.' he thought. 'One minute he's right beside us and the next Pegasus shows up and uses some kind of weird magic to steal his soul away. But why, what could Pegasus possibly want with me? Could it have something to do with my Milennium Puzzle? Well I'll get grandpa back! I'll beat Pegasus at his own game, whatever that is.'
"I should have done more... I should have helped you Yugi, instead I just sat and watched as grandpa..." Yuji frowned before gripping the fence around the school roof even tighter.
Yugi looked over before patting his back. "We will get Grandpa back together Yuji. Pegasus invited us both so we have a chance to get him back from Pegasus." He still wondered how Yuji crossed to the Shadow Realm but figures that isn't important right now, cause now they need to focus on getting Solomon back from Pegasus.
"Yeah, you're right." Yuji nodded in agreement.
Meanwhile in an empty classroom Joey was holding a VHS tape.
"Wonder who this is from." he admitted putting it in as on the screen a girl with long brown hair appeared on the screen.
"Hey there big brother, how have you been?" the girl asked. "I've really missed you."
"Serenity?" Joey asked in surprise recognizing the girl.
Serenity on the video laughed and closed her eyes. "I can't believe its been six years since we've seen each other. I'll never forget the day mom took me to live with her." Joey can also remember it quite clearly, the day they were separated cause of there parent's divorce.
Flashback...
A younger Serenity was in the backseat of a car that was driving off. "Joey!"
"Serenity, don't go!" a younger Joey cried out with tears as he tried to run after the car only for it to easily pull away from him. "Wait!"
"Joey!" the younger Serenity cried with her own tears.
End Flashback...
"I'm sending you this video just so you don't forget your little sister's face." Serenity explained as Joey looked at the video in shock. "It seems like I'm running out of time. I was hoping to see you once more before well, you understand. Bye bye brother."
"Run out of time… it can't be." Joey whispered while trembling as his eyes started watering.
"So long, take care Joey." Serenity told him as the video turned to static again as Joey's eyes widened seeing his reflection.
Closing his eyes and gritting his teeth Joey shuddered slightly. "Serenity…"

Later that night Yugi and Yuji were heading back to their grandpa's game shop only to notice an envelope stuck in the doorframe.
"Huh, what's this?" Yugi asked taking it as he opened it to reveal ten cards as his eyes widened. "It's from Pegasus."
"Pegasus, what did he send us this time?" Yuji questioned as Yugi took one of the cards and they saw it showed an island with a large castle in the center of it causing Yugi to gasp.
"It's an invitation to the tournament at Duelist Kingdom." he told Yuji, causing Yuji's eyes to widen.
"A tournament… he's baiting us but this might be the only way to save grandpa's soul." Yuji mentioned. "He used a time limit last time but this time we'll both go, and together we'll definitely save grandpa."
Turning to Yuji, Yugi closed his eyes before smiling. "Yeah, you're right Yuji."
"A tournament at Duelist Kingdom?" Tea asked as she was standing near Yugi's desk with Yuji and Joey while Tristan was sitting backwards on the chair in front of his desk while they all looked at the cards from Pegasus's invitation. "Isn't that an island?"
"So that's where Pegasus is keeping your grandpa?" Joey inquired.
"Maybe, the only way to know for sure is to become a contestant." Yugi answered as he looked at a card depicting a boat. "The boat's going to be leaving in two days."
"Exactly, and when it does Yugi and I are going to get grandpa back from Pegasus." Yuji agreed only to frown. "We have to get him back… no matter what."
"But you two can't go, it could be dangerous." Tea pointed out to them.
"We have to go, it's the only clue we have for rescuing grandpa." Yugi mentioned to her as Yuji nodded in agreement.
"It probably will be dangerous, but we'll stay together and if anything happens we'll be there to make sure we're both ok Tea." Yuji added as he closed his eyes. "I didn't do anything to help before… but this time I'm not just going to sit here doing nothing."
Hearing that Tea frowned, knowing how bad Yuji must have felt as he watched Yugi fight desperately against Pegasus only to fall just short and end up losing their grandpa.
"I still can't believe it, Pegasus used some kind of weird magic to steal your grandpa's soul away." Tristan mentioned frowning. "And now he's toying with you, forcing you to compete in the tournament."
"Right, and without invitations we can't even go there with you guys." Joey added only to sigh. "I wish we could help you out."
Tea and Tristan both looked at Joey in agreement only for Yuji to smile.
"Thanks you guys, just knowing you're supporting us in spirit means a lot." he admitted before looking at the cards.
Tea frowned at that only for Tristan to suddenly gasp. "Huh, hey Yugi, Yuji check this out."
Picking up two of the cards he showed a blank white one and one with what looked like a huge amount of gold and jewels on the other.
"What is it Tristan?" Yugi asked him.
"According to this card, the tournament winner takes the grand prize of three million dollars." Tristan mentioned only for Yuji's eyes to widen as he clenched his fists.
"Money? How can you be talking about money right now Tristan? You know what this tournament is really for don't you?" he questioned angrily.
"Three mil…" Joey repeated quietly.
"Yuji's right, who would care about money at a time like this?" Yugi asked just as Joey grabbed the card, getting their attention.
"Hey give me that." he mentioned before smiling. "Three million…"
"I guess Joey does…" Yugi admitted quietly seeing his friend seemingly caring more about money than his grandpa's soul.
"Three million, in cold cash." Joey repeated, looking at the card with a smile.
Later that evening Joey was sitting on his own on the school roof clearly thinking about something.
"Joey, what are you doing up here?" Yugi asked getting his attention as Joey saw Yugi and Yuji walking over to him.
"Hm?" Joey inquired seeing his two friends.
"What's with you?" Yuji asked, taking a seat next to Joey. "You've been acting kind of off lately."
"It's nothing, I'm just thinking about a whole lot of stuff." Joey admitted to them. "You guys do know that I care about your gramps right? I mean he taught me about the heart of the cards."
"Of course we know." Yugi nodded after hearing that.
"I mean it!" Joey told them enthusiastically. "One way or another I'll help you beat Pegasus."
Yugi looked at Joey before nodding at that while Yuji gently closed his eyes.
"Heh, that really means a lot to me Joey." Yugi smiled while sitting down next to Yuji. "I'm glad we're friends."
"I feel the same way, I still remember the first time we met you." Yuji chuckled, causing Joey to close his eyes.
"Yeah, I remember." he nodded as Yugi looked at his puzzle.
"I'll never forget, it was all because of the Millennium Puzzle" he recalled.
Flashback...
YUGI: The way grandpa explained it to me, the puzzle was originally found in some Egyptian ruins.
A slightly younger Yugi was smiling as he looked at the puzzle along with Yuji while Tea just looked at how happy they were with a smile.
YUJI: Yeah, grandpa gave it to you and kind of dared you to solve it… it was the most incredible thing we'd ever seen.
An awestruck Yugi looked at some of the pieces of the Millennium Puzzle.
YUGI: Yeah, as soon as I touched it I knew it was special. I made a wish on the puzzle, I asked it to give me a real friend.
YUJI: For it to give us both a real friend, we had each other but… well we were kind of on our own back then.
YUGI: Well, I think the puzzle came through for us, that was the day we met you and Tristan. Although you sure didn't act like my friends at first.
Joey and Tristan with cruel smirks were holding the box containing the Millennium Puzzle as a desperate Yugi chased after them.
End Flashback...
"Ah, you mean when we were playing keep away with the Millennium Puzzle?" Joey recalled with a small chuckle. "It was for you man, we were just trying to toughen you up so you could stand up to the real bullies."
"Trudge." Yuji recalled shuddering slightly at the thought of their classmate who beat all four of them up.
"Yeah." Joey nodded. "Unlike him we were only teasing you."
"Teasing, you took a piece of the Millennium Puzzle and threw it out the window!" Yugi pointed out as they recalled Joey throwing the last piece of the puzzle out of the window and into a river near the school. "And Yuji and I were the ones who helped you guys out when that bully picked on you."
"Yeah, he was a mean one alright." Joey frowned, recalling the memory of Trudge beating up him and Tristan only for Yugi and Yuji to try and defend them.
Flashback...
Tristan, and Joey were looking beaten up on the ground against the wall while against a large student smirking over crackling his knuckles.
"What do we do?"
"Shhh!"
Just then the large student turned around noticing Yugi, and Yuji walking in, and they both looked stunned from seeing the bully cornering against the two while the bully smirked over to them. "Well, look who just showed up. It's little Yugi, and his non-blood brother, Yuji. Just in time to watch me mop the floor with these guys!"
"Get back! Leave them alone!" Yugi ran placing himself in between the bully, Joey, and Tristan.
"Who's gonna stop me? A couple of shrimp like you two?" the bully smirked over from this. "I don't think so, get lost."
"He said stop it, that's enough!" Yuji ran beside Yugi to defend them. "These two are our friends so if you want them you go through us!" Joey behind looks a bit shocked that he calls him, and Tristan friends despite what the two are doing to Yugi.
"Ok tough guys, you two jumped to the head of the line." the bully smirked. "Say your prayers you runts."
He then started beating up Yugi and Yuji as they cried out in pain before they both passed out.
JOEY: You stood up for us Yugi, you too Yuji. Because of you guys we got that moron expelled, and Tristan and I learned what it was like to have some true friends.
YUGI: Well at least you were able to retrieve the lost Puzzle Piece. If you hadn't done that, I could never have solved the Millennium Puzzle.
YUJI: Of course, I did make you promise not to mistreat him again.
Images of Joey getting back the piece he thrown out, Yugi completing the puzzle, and watching as it glowed before it shows of Joey talking to the two. "I want to apologize, Yugi. I've been acting like a real jerk."
"Oh, we're you acting?"
Joey laughed over from Yugi's joke figuring this is a good start to make amends for each other. "I guess I deserved that one."
"Well if you ask me a good slap is enough, but I'll consider cutting you a break as long as you two never treat Yugi like that again, you understand?" Yuji stated over with a hint of a threat evident in his tone which intimidates Joey a bit.
"Uh yes sir!" Joey frighteningly nodded promising over as Yuji nodded over satisfied having a smile of his own which Joey sighed before then smiling. "But you know, I figure me, and Tristan underestimated you two." That confused Yuji, and Yugi as they looked at him. "You know, you two are tougher kids than I ever have credit for. Maybe we all should hang out more often. What do you two say?"
Yugi smiled at that with a small nod as Yuji grinned.
"That sounds great." Yuji smiled.
End Flashback...
"The truth of the matter is you two are the best friends I've ever had." Joey told them.
"Yeah." Yugi smiled only to frown and look down. "It's just a shame you can't go with us to help rescue grandpa."
"Don't worry. Somehow, someway I promise we'll do it together." Joey told Yugi.
"Yeah, we will." Yuji smiled at that. "The three of us are a team."
"Exactly." Joey smiled at that.
"But how can you go, without an invitation?" Yugi pointed out only for Joey to look at the setting sun thoughtfully.
A few days later...
Sometime later it was time for to be at the big boat that is heading towards Duelist Kingdom. Both Yuji, and Yugi made sure they gotten there Decks ready, and checked the gloves they wore on. Yuji did admitted before that he feels Forgotten Soul having some bad feelings about this tournament but assures him that Yuji can compete in the tournament for Solomon. And now geared, and ready they arrived at the boot checking over themselves just as a large agent on the boat start to give announcements towards the large crowd.
"Attention, all duelists. Welcome to this event sponsored by Industrial Illusions. You received with your invitation the Star Chips that will grant you entry into the contest." Which is basically the stars that he, and Yugi has gotten with the gloves to keep track. "You are all elite, invited by us after close observation of your past Duel Monsters contests. You each have a fair, and equal chance to win. It all comes down to his well you've chosen your cards, and how well you play. Now then, duelists, cross the ocean, and enter the Duelist Kingdom!"
"Present your Star Chips as you board the vessel." Everyone started to gather as a line to the boat with agents checking everyone to see if they have legitimate Star Chips. "Thank you, next."
But while waiting Yuji blinked hearing some arguing. "Yugi? Did you hear something?"
"Hey you, get out of here only official contestants are allowed onboard." a man in a suit cried as Yugi looked over.
"How do you know I'm not official?" Joey's voice questioned.
"Because the official duelists aren't trying to sneak on board through the lower hatches." the man in a suit mentioned as he and another suited man dragged Joey off.
"Joey, what the?" Yugi questioned as he and Yuji ran up to him.
"Stop your struggling." the second suited man told Joey as they noticed Yugi and Yuji. "We're going to have to throw you out."
"No way, I came here to duel and I'm gonna duel!" Joey replied.
"Hey stop trying to kick him out!" Yuji protested as they turned over towards them.
"Hey there you two!"
"What are you doing here, Joey?" Yugi couldn't help asking as Joey isn't a contestant he shouldn't be here right now.
Joey laughed over despite his situation. "Did you two really think, I 's let you two do this on your own?" The two smiled from now much Joey is doing what he can to support them. "Come on help me out."
Meanwhile in some other arena some agents were standing guard with workers transporting boxes over where Tea, and Tristan were at sneaking into the boat themselves. "They're distracted. Let's go."
"Right." the two quickly head off to get on board without them noticing.
"He's with us, you've got to let him on." Yugi told the two men.
"Only people with a Star Chip can get on board." the first suited man explained. "There are no exceptions, understand?"
"But Joey has a Star Chip." Yugi pointed out.
"Yeah, didn't he tell you two?" Yuji asked causing them to look at him in confusion.
"I do?" Joey asked as Yugi held out his hand before pulling it back to reveal a single Star Chip in Joey's hand. "What's this?"
"According to this card, a Star Chip's proof that someone's a duelist." Yugi mentioned holding a card showing the dueling gauntlet along with some Star Chips.
"Hmm, that may be, but all participants are given 2 Star Chips. You'll be at a disadvantage."
Despite the agent's warning Yugi, and Yuji are form in there decision. "Maybe, but we'd rather take that risk than be without our friend when we get to the Duelist Kingdom. We need him."
"You two... " Joey is so touched that the two are sacrificing half of there chances so that he can be a part of the tournament glad to have them as friends.
"What do we do?"
Deciding to get some help from the higher ups one of the agents pulled out a phone calling over. "Mr. Pegasus, we've got a problem, sir."
At another location crates we're being placed on the boat one of them as Tea, and Tristan who successfully entered a crate to sneak in but it stumbled making Tea cry out started from the momentum which Tristan panicked slightly that they be heard. "Shhh!"
"Don't you shush me Tristan." Tea whispered in annoyance.
"Pipe down." he whispered to her as the boat set off to Duelist Kingdom.
"I'm glad they let you on board Joey." Yugi smiled as they were standing near the edge of the boat with Yuji.
"Only because you sacrificed one of your Star Chips for me." Joey mentioned as a blonde woman walking by happened to overhear. "But if any of the other players find out we only have one Star Chip each they could really try to take advantage of us."
"Then maybe be quiet about it?" Yuji suggested as the blonde smirked at this new information.
"Kind of exciting isn't you two?" Joey smiled.
They nodded only for a voice to broke out.
"Well, what do we have here?"
Hearing that they looked seeing the blonde woman was there smirking over. She is quite beautiful so Joey is pretty smitten with her charm easily. "Wow..."
"So you two just be the Muto Brothers everybody's talking about, huh." the woman smirked over towards Yugi, and Yuji.
"Whoa-ho, check it out!"
Ignoring Joey, the woman rounded up on the two. "But I'm amazed that a couple of squirts like you two could beat Kaiba, and that AI that Pegasus personally designed for him. Your two famous, you know." She is getting too close in for there comfort and they aren't comfortable for such a pretty woman like her being closed to them like this.
"Thanks very much, I think..."
"Uh, it's good you heard of us miss." Yuji clearly turned away to not be smitten by her charms. 'Do not stare, Yuji, do not stare, you already have someone!'
"Ah hey miss, I'm a very good friend of the famous Muto brothers the master duelists. In fact..." Joey started only for the woman to glare at him.
"Look, you're either a champ or a chump. Cut this guy loose, he's fashion challenged and deserves to be crushed in the games." the woman told them.
"Please crush me." Joey requested with a blush.
"I'll crush you all eventually, the name's Mai." the woman mentioned walking off.
"How arrogant, there's nobody better at playing Duel Monsters than Yugi and Yuji." Tea spat venomously from a hiding spot.
"Shhh... quiet they'll hear you." Tristan warned as Tea looked away angrily.
"I don't care, they're still the best." Tea pointed out.
Unaware to the Muto Brothers, and Joey, one girl was staring over towards them. A girl who is staring specifically towards Yuji. Feeling a gaze Yuji turned only to see no-one was there looking around but Yugi called over. "Hey Yuji, we're heading in!"
"Oh, coming!" Yuji turned back one more time before turning figuring it was just himself getting some feelings.
Meanwhile in the ship...
"Hey! Is this a joke, or what!?"
Everyone present turned over surprised seeing Joey is arguing with a guard while Yugi, and Yuji are standing nearby with Yuji sighing muttering 'Well that didn't take long...' to himself.
"This is a luxury crusier, I know you've got better rooms somewhere!" Joey was hoping to enjoy some stylish fancy rooms but this wasn't what he expected so he decided to complain about it.
"You again?" Suddenly another guard ran in, and starts to apprehend him with the other one. "We've cut you a break, and now you're causing more trouble?"
"Do you want to get thrown out of here?"
"Who is shouting in here?" Then a familiar duo walked in the room with another boy with them that has a red toboggan, a beige vest , and spiky brown hair with a blue turf at the front. The two with him are Gale, and Weevil themselves and Gale was the one who spoke, and she blinked. "Hey wait a sec aren't you two..." Yuji, Yugi, and Joey notices them when Gale started to speak to them.
"You're Yugi and Yuji Muto right?" she asked.
"Yeah, that's right and you're..." Yugi started only for Joey to notice them.
"Gale, that and Weevil that lame bug boy." Joey recalled only to pause. "And... who's your friend?"
"The name's Rex Raptor, and I happen to have taken the third place title at that tournament... if someone didn't have a lucky draw I would have won the whole thing." the boy with the red toboggan mentioned. "You're wasting your time with those guys, the fancy rooms only to finalists in the last tournament like us."
"Well congratulations on winning the tournament Gale."
Gale shrugged over from this. "Whatever, I was expecting much but Weevil wasn't that tough." Weevil turned to her in annoyance. "I thought I'd faced Kaiba but imagine my surprise when I heard someone else defeated him. Well nevertheless this time I hope for a challenge."
"Yeah?" Joey broke out of the guard's hold grinning over. "Well me, Yugi, and Yuji are gonna take the tournament. Maybe you, and me shall duel each other right now?"
"Oh really? Well I'll be glad too." Gale grinned over towards him before asking curiously. "Though what's your ranking? I never seen or heard of you before."
"Ranking?" Joey asked curiously. "What do you mean by that? This is my first real tournament."
Hearing that Rex smirked. "Your first tournament, wow you must be a complete amateur."
"What was that, how do you know I'm not the best duelist on this entire boat?" Joey questioned.
Gale frowned over from this. "Wow then your an excitable idiot being an amateur challenging a champion like myself."
"Hey, what was that!?" Joey glared over towards Gale from this.
Then she warmed up grinning. "Although, I'd like your spirit..." He blinked before she winked. "When you get stronger in the tournament come meet me up." She turned walking out of the room.
Joey stared at her before clenching his fists. "Hold on a second!"
Hearing that Gale stopped and turned back only to see Joey grinning.
"Watch your back in the tournament, I just might surprise you."
Smiling she nodded walking off.
"Oh, well congratulations on being the runner-up Weevil." Yugi admitted politely.
"She just got lucky, it won't happen again." Weevil frowned.
"Yeah, I went easy on bug breath in our duel." Rex pointed out.
"Well I'm sure that I'll face her, and then the Duelist who defeated Kaiba." Weevil smirked over towards them. "Frankly, I'm looking forward for it."
Yugi smiled over. "We look forward to it too." Yuji nodded over in agreement with a smile.
"I look forward for some Dino Demolition." Rex grinned over crossing his arms. "Besides in dueling you either get smashed, or smash your opponent. It's one or the other."
"Strength is good, but you also need to combine them with other types of cards." Joey pointed out.
"Who asked you? Stay out of my way or I'll stomp you like everybody else." Rex snapped before walking off.
"We'll see who stomps who, when we get to the island." Joey growled angrily.
"Ignore him, let's scope out the competition." Weevil pointed out as Joey blinked.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"Check out those chumps, they're already trading over there." Weevil mentioned as Yugi, Yuji, and Joey turned to see some of the competitors comparing cards and trading with each other. "Players here are swapping cards and strengthening there Decks, getting ready for the big competition. It's also a good chance, to get a feel for your opponent's cards." Well Duel Monsters is a Trading Card Game so it makes sense players would trades cards around, and make there Decks stronger with the cards they've traded over.
But this is also something where Yugi realizes this must be the secret to Weevil's incredible strategies. 'Oh, I bet this is how Weevil gets so much insight into his opponent's stratgey.' Yuji however frowned realizing too that looking at opponent's decks before the rules should count as cheating but from it under the guise of trading or swapping cards it really is effective to not be labeled as cheating.
However the three are seeing Joey already away at trading garden of his own. "Whoa, strong cards. Hey want to trade? How 'bout you? Anybody? Help me out here."
"Guess Joey's trading." Yugi noted seeing that.
"If you've come all this way and you're still trying to improve your deck you've got to be pretty desperate." Weevil mentioned before turning to walk off. "Catch you on the flipside."
Meanwhile Mai arguing with a man in a suit as Rex was walking past.
"This is truly, truly outrageous." she stated to the man. "You expect a lady like me to stay in this dump without even a shower?"
"Rules are rules ma'am, there's nothing I can do." the suited man pointed out.
"Call your superior, get him on the phone right now!" Mai demanded as Rex walked over to them.
"Keep acting up and they'll throw you off the boat." Rex smirked.
"Who do you think you are?"
Rex smirked over to her. "A champion with a luxury room." Well 3rd place but he still gets a good room.
"Really, could I see it?" Mai requested.
"You bet! Come check it out." Rex grinned with a blush.
Meanwhile outside Tea was shivering in the cold night air.
"Hey, Tea, stay down or we're busted!"
"It's freezing out here. I can't sit still." Tea admitted to Tristan that the chill is getting to her.
Tristan decided to be funny pointed over to the distance as she looked over. "In another few hours, the sun will rise."
"That's not funny Tristan." she snapped quietly only for a door to open.
"Get down." Tristan said quickly as Tea joined him hiding only for a white-haired boy to walk out and look out at the ocean.
"Huh, look. Isn't that Bakura?" Tea asked quietly.
"You mean Bakura from school?" Tristan inquired.
"What do you think he's doing here?" Tea whispered.
Tristan shrugged over thinking of one good reason. "Maybe he's in the tournament..."
Meanwhile...
"So what do you think of my cool digs?"
Rex was on a couch grinning as he shows off his luxury room towards Ma I who looks around impressed over to see the room Rex is staying in until they arrive at Duelist Kingdom that has candles on the wall, a fancy bed, some exotic furniture, and some other stuff.
"It's beautiful, you must be quite a strong card player." Mai smiled.
"I am." Rex mentioned arrogantly.
Mai smirked slightly hearing that. "Really? I love Duel Monsters, how about we play a game?"
"Heh, who do you think you're talking to?" Rex smirked. "There's no way you'll beat me."
"Please, let me try." Mai mentioned sitting on the other couch in the room.
"You'll never win." Rex pointed out.
"Tell you what, if you win... I'll sleep with you." Mai offered causing Rex's eyes to widen as he blushed.
"Yugi, Yuji, I got some good card trading in."
Joey, Yugi, and Yuji were outside on the dining arena of the ship to discuss some things where Joey tells him he had managed to trade, and gotten some good cards.
"Really let's see?" Yuji checked them over where he sees cards like Mystical Space Typhoon, Negate Attack, and a legendary spell which was Pot of Greed (somehow).
"Whoa, those are some great cards Joey." Yugi smiled. "With those strong spell and trap cards combined with your monsters you'll have a really strong deck.
"Ah yeah, with these cards I'm ready to win every duel I play." Joey grinned only for Yugi to open a box.
"I think you're going to find it a bit tougher than that Joey." Yugi mentioned taking out a card. "Why don't you try adding this to your deck?"
They looked seeing was a small clock like sorcerer. "It can helpful in a tight spot."
"Thanks. I'll take it." Joey smiled as he takes the card. "I can 't get over how you, and Yuji see always helping me out."
"Ahh, we meet again." Hearing the voice they looked seeing Weevil was there smirking to them.
Back at the room Mai presented a Deck over to Rex. "Ok, then cut the cards."
"Playing with your cards huh?" Rex asked cutting the deck. 'Heh heh, this'll be a snap.' "What if you win?"
"If I win you agree to clear out of the room for the rest of the trip." Mai answered as Rex blinked.
"Clear out, there's no way I'll lose you've got a deal." he told her only for Mai to close her eyes.
"Hm... the first card is Shadow of Eyes." she told him as Rex flipped revealing that card.
"How'd you do that?" he questioned.
"The second card is Harpie Lady, then Elegant Egotist followed by Cyber Shield." Mai continued.
Rex widen his eyes from seeing the cards. "Oh, no. She's right again."
Mai chuckled over from this seeing how stumped Rex was. "This is my own card technique. I always know what cards I have and can pick any one I like at any time. So, go ahead and deal 'em, Rex."
Being honest in Rex's mind, he isn't as confident as before as it's his own turn and against someone like Mai who was able to predict her cards gets the feeling he is screwed. "Uh oh, I think I'm in trouble." Well why wouldn't he?
Meanwhile with Yugi, Joey, Yuji, and Weevil the latter was looking out over the ocean.
"Ah, the evening winds do feel nice." Weevil admitted turning around to them. "So did you trade for any good cards Yugi?"
"Nah, I'm going to duel with the cards I brought along with me." Yugi replied.
"I figured as much." Weevil admitted. "You used the Exodia cards in your duel with Kaiba right? Those are the strongest cards of them all."
"Yeah, and really rare." Yugi agreed.
"Could I possibly see those legendary cards?" Weevil requested as Yuji suddenly got a bad feeling.
"I don't see why not, just be careful with them." Yugi mentioned taking the cards and handing them over to Weevil.
A glint went by Weevil's glasses with a smile as Yugi takes the card handing them to Weevil. "Here."
As Weevil takes them Yuji feels a roar of warning in his head from Frozen Heart as if the Dragon is warning him of something gonna happen soon while Weevil checks over the cards. "So, these are the cards to summon Exodia... For a long time, I've been trying to come up with some kind of strategy to finally beat these cards, but I couldn't come up with anything..." He then smirked. "Until just this moment." That said he turned around, and before they knew it he threw them to the ocean. "Say goodbye to Exodia!"
"No!" Yugi cried in horror seeing that.
"Why you..." Joey glared as Weevil walked off cackling.
"Now there's no-one who can challenge me. Hahahahaha!" he cackled.
"My cards, those were the Exodia cards that my grandpa left me!" Yugi cried.
"I'll get them!" Joey cried diving into the water.
"Joey don't!" Yugi cried seeing that.
"Joey, where are you?" Yuji questioned seeing that.
"I'll get them Yugi, I promise." Joey told him.
"They're not worth drowning over!" Yugi cried.
"No way, see I've got one of them." Joey mentioned grabbing one of the cards.
"Joey, swim back to the ship!" Yuji shouted.
"No way, at least this time there's something I can do to help someone I care about!" Joey shouted back only to briefly go under the water. "Current sure is strong though, it's hard to fight, but if I punk out now, who's gonna help my sister Serenity?"
An image of his sister's video entered his mind.
"Just three more now... aah!" he cried as he grabbed another of the cards before a wave hit him.
"Joey!" Yugi cried only for Yuji to notice a girl dive into the water.
I summon Sacred Phoenix of Nephtys!" A bright orange glow was seen before a large Phoenix appears cawing as she jumped on it flying down to Joey. "Here come on!"
"Huh?" Seeing the hand reaching out Joey grunted over. "Hey, I'm trying to get my buddies cards here!" He's more focused on getting back the Exodus cards then worrying over the monster this mysterious girl had summoned out of nowhere.
"We will get them back together but just climb on!" the mysterious girl promised over they will get Exodia back Joey's just gotta take her hand, and hop on while Tea, and Tristan came out of hiding surprised seeing a monster is there.
While grunting over Joey reached over and takes her hand with some struggle as she pulled him on before letting the head of her monster. "To those cards!" The Phoenix cawed flying where she, and Joey grabbed the cards before flying back over to the ship where the Phoenix landed nearby while xhe, and Joey jumped off.
"Joey, are you alright?" Yugi cried running to her as the girl closed her eyes as the phoenix vanished.
Yuji looks over the girl finding her familiar. She is a girl that has long blue hair wearing a orange vest that's opened with a white shirt, and having on red shorts and slightly tanned skin.
She walked over handing the cards to Yugi. "Here... I'm sorry we tried to saved them but they took too much water. There ruined but at least you still got them." Which means there not able to be used with Duel Disks anymore but Yugi is able to get them back.
"Oh thanks." Yugi said over to her before blinking. "But... who are you?"
She turned over towards Yuji at that as he blinked. "Well Yuji... It's been a while. Are you still letting your imagination become your strength?"
The words clicked his head now remember who this is. "That... Chie? Chie, is that really you?"
"It's been a long time." the girl, Chie, smiled over to him. "How long has it been now? 5 years?"
"Ye... yeah." he nodded blushing before pausing. "Oh, you're still wearing that bracelet. It still looks really beautiful."
Chie smiled as she looks at her bracelet at this while Tristan looked a bit smitten over while Tea blinked turning to Yuji. "Yuji, you know this girl?"
Blinking Yuji looked over. "Huh, Tea? Tristan? When did you two get on board?"
"We're a team, we're in this together." Tea answered making him smile.
"Yeah, you're right." he smiled.
"So... Yuji, you mind telling us who this is?" Joey asked him.
"Oh uh..." Yuji gestured to her. "Guys this is an old friend of mine. Her name is Chie." Chie smiled over with a small wave.
"Chie Ishtar to be more specific."
"She's the person who helped me into Duel Monsters before I lived with Yugi." Yuji added over to them. "She's also the one who taught me to let my imagination to become my strength."
"Well it's nice to meet you Chie." Yugi smiled.
"I feel the same way." she smiled only to glance at Yugi's puzzle before closing her eyes. "I'm just glad everything worked out."
"Well sorry Yugi... I should've been faster for your cards to not be so ruined." Joey said over to Yugi feeling bad over that he wasn't able to have them all.
"It's alright Joey." Yugi told him.
"It's not alright, it's always this way with me." Joey frowned. "I'm never able to help anybody, not even my own sister Serenity."
"Serenity?" Yugi asked hearing that.
"You have a sister Joey?" Tea asked him.
"Our parents divorced years ago when we were kids, she lives far away with my mother." Joey explained. "And my sister's had really bad eyes since she was born, eventually she'll go blind."
"Ouch... We're so sorry Joey." Yuji frowned feeling bad for him.
Chie frowned before closing her eyes, and knelled down in front of him placing her hand on his shoulder.
"Huh?" he asked looking up at her.
Chie opened her eyes looking at him. "So your in Duelist Kingdom to save her eyesight aren't you?" He blinked at her from that. "The prize money is 3 million dollars so it wouldn't be hard to figure why your heading into the tournament after hearing a story like that."
"Well, yeah but that's not the only reason." Joey answered. "Pegasus stole Yugi and Yuji's grandpa's soul and we need to beat Pegasus to rescue him."
Chie nodded standing up. "Well now you all have me to assist."
"Thank you, that means a lot." Yugi smiled.
Chie smiled back though in the back of her mind the idea of someone stealing stoles definitely sounded like the world of a Millennium Item, and if this boy had the puzzle and is close to Yuji he could definitely help her too.
The next morning as the sun came up the group were all standing at the front of the boat as Duelist Kingdom came into view.
bopdog111: Well now the Bracelet Girl is introduced.
Ulrich362: True, Chie the Nephthys user and a childhood friend of Yuji's. Though it sounds like there's more to her than she's said so far.
bopdog111: Will we find out?
Ulrich362: Very possibly, but it may not be for a little while. Though next up, the Duelist Kingdom tournament will officially begin. See you in the next chapter. Oh, and if you can... let us know which of the five Interference fics is your favorite, just curious.
