Gym Challenge Opening Ceremony
The next morning; Stan and his friends wake up and head to a restaurant to grab some breakfast. As they all ate, they were excited about the Gym Challenge Opening Ceremony that was going to happen in an hour.
"Man I can't wait, you guys." said Stan.
"This is going to be so awesome!" said Kyle.
"All those people that are going to be there will be cheering for me!" said Cartman.
"And everyone watching the whole thing at home on TV." said Kenny.
"It's gonna be sweet!" said Cartman. The door to the restaurant they were eating at opens and their moms walk in, along with Shelly, Karen with her Mincinno, and Ike.
"Hello, boys." said Sharon.
"Hi, Mom." said Stan.
"How are you boys doing this morning?" asked Shiela.
"We're really excited, Mom!" said Kyle.
"I'll bet you are, boys." said Sharon. "You're going to be in one of the biggest events here in Galar."
"I know, it's going to be awesome!" said Stan.
"Whatever, turd." said Shelly. Kenny gets up and walks over to his mother.
"Hey, Mom; I have something to give you." said Kenny.
"What, sweetie?" asked Carol. Kenny takes off his backpack, reaches into it, and pulls out all the money he got from selling the stuff he found in the Pokemon Dens. Kenny then takes half of it and holds it out to his mother.
"I want to give you half the money I got yesterday." said Kenny, surprising his mother.
"What?" Carol responds.
"You've struggled for the first years of my life to provide me, Karen, and Kevin a somewhat livable life, and I know it wasn't easy considering that Dad wasn't really doing a lot to provide for us." said Kenny, bring a tear to Carol's eye. "That's why I want you to have this to show my appreciation for the sacrifices you had to make."
"Oh, Kenny." said Carol before dropping to her knees and hugging Kenny with all her might as tears pour down her eyes. After she was done, Kenny places the money he offered into her hands.
"You're the best brother ever." said Karen.
"That was cool of you, Kenny." said Stan.
"Your mom's probably not used to a male in your family being able to help provide a decent life for yourselves." said Cartman.
"I probably have to agree with you." said Kenny. The boys then finish eating their breakfast and walk with their moms over to Motostoke Stadium. When they arrive there, they see that Hop was standing near the front doors.
"Hey, guys!" said Hop as he runs over to them.
"Hey, Hop." said Stan.
"Can you believe that we're actually going to go out onto the pitch in front of all those people?" asked Hop with excitement in his voice.
"I know, right?" replied Kyle.
"I'm going to get ready, right now!" said Hop as he runs into the stadium.
"We're going to find seats for the four of us." said Sharon.
"We'll look for you in the crowd, Mom." said Stan. They all enter the stadium with the moms heading for the stadium bleachers, while the boys go to the locker room to get into their Gym Challenger uniforms. A staff member enters the locker room and has everyone that was in there follow them into the tunnel area. Stan looks out into the stadium and sees thousands of people in the bleachers.
"Whoa, dude!" said Stan. "Look at everyone out there!"
"This is so cool!" said Kyle.
"All those people will see how awesome I am!" said Cartman.
Out on the field, a man with tan skin, black hair, beard, and mustache; wearing a gray, three-piece, suit, and red tie, was walking out onto the field; the man was Chairman Rose, president of the Macros Cosmos organization. He was being accompanied by a woman with long blonde hair, wearing a long white coat over a red dress shirt, black skirt, gray pantyhose, and black shoes. The woman was Oleana; Chairman Rose's personal assistant.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" Chairman Rose says to everyone in the audience. "I am Rose, chairman of the Pokemon League! I know that everyone gathered here, and everyone watching from home have been waiting for this moment!"
"You bet your ass I have!" says Cartman.
"Quiet, Cartman." said Stan.
"It is my pleasure to announce that finally... the Galar region Gym Challenge will now begin!" said Chairman Rose. The crowd cheers in response. "Yes, the Gym Challenge! Participants must defeat the eight Gym leaders and gather the eight Gym Badges to prove their skills as trainers!"
"This is going to be so awesome!" said Stan.
"Only the most worthy will have the honor of challenging the greatest Champion in history!" said Chairman Rose.
"Which is gonna be me!" said Cartman.
"In your dreams, fatass!" said Kyle.
"Yeah, 'cause it's gonna be me!" said Stan.
"Now I would like to invite the Gym Leaders to show themselves!" said Chairman Rose. A few seconds later, seven people come out one of the tunnels leading out onto the field. (a/n: We'll use the Gym Leaders from Pokemon: Sword for this fanfic.)
One was a muscular male with red hair, wearing a straw hat, teal neckerchief, a white jersey with a symbol that looks like a leaf, green shorts, and black and green shoes. This was the grass type Gym Leader of Turffield; Milo.
The second one was a slender woman with dark skin, black hair with blue streaks in some of it, wearing a two piece crop with a white top with a symbol that looks like a drop of water, blue and white shorts, a pendant with a blue jewel in it, a gold chain with jewels on it around her waist, and white sandals that appeared to have blue and orange life preservers on each side of them; this was the water type Gym Leader of Hulbury; Nessa.
"She's hot." said Kenny as he gawks at her.
The third one was an older-looking man who looked like he was still in his prime wearing a red jersey with a volcano design on it over a black, long-sleeved shirt with flame designs on the sleeves, along with red and white shorts, and knee-high, white and red boots. This was the fire type Gym Leader of Motostoke: Kabu.
The fourth was a girl with medium length gray hair that reached above her shoulders that a black, orange-tipped, hairband, she was also wearing a black bodysuit, along with a white top that had an orange, fist-shaped symbol on it, plus orange, black, and white shorts, white kneepads, and a black glove that had a few orange fingers on it. This was the fighting type Gym Leader of Stow-and-Side: Bea.
The fifth was an elderly woman wearing a long pink and green dress, a black and green hat, white boots with purple fuzz on them, a purple scarf, and a pink and black glove while carrying an umbrella. This was the fairy type Gym Leader of Ballonlea: Opal.
The sixth was a tall, stocky man with beige hair with white highlights, wearing blue and black sunglasses, a brown and black jacket, a white blazer with a symbol of a black and gray rock on it, gray and white shorts, gray and blue shoes and a gold necklace with a blue gem. This was the rock type Gym Leader of Circhester: Gordie.
And the last one was a male with dark skin, wearing an orange bandana on his head, along with a black, orange, gold, and tan hoodie; blue shorts with an emblem resembling a dragon head on them, and black and orange shoes. This was the dragon type Gym Leader of Hammerlocke: Raihan.
"These are the Gym Leaders that we in the Galar region are proud to call our own!" said Chairman Rose.
"Hey, I thought there was eight Gym Leaders." said Stan.
"Where's the last one?" asked Kyle.
"Maybe he or she didn't feel like showing up?" suggested Kenny.
"What an asshole or bitch." said Cartman.
"Now let's bring out our Gym Challengers!" said Chairman Rose. A staff member who was with the kids looks over at them.
"Okay, everyone; time to go out onto the pitch." said the staff member.
"Kick ass!" said Cartman as he and the other Gym Challengers head out onto the field. The boys look around in awe at everyone cheering for them.
"This is so awesome." said Stan.
"Yeah, dude." said Kyle. Their moms scan the group of Gym Challengers until they see their sons.
"I see them!" said Sharon.
"Oh, this is so exciting!" said Shiela.
"That's my son out there!" said Carol.
"My little Eric looks so cute in his little outfit." said Liane. After the opening ceremony was done, the boys and their families meet in the lobby.
"That was so kewl!" said Cartman.
"We have something for you boys." said Sharon as she and the other moms take out their Rotom Phones and point them towards the boys. They push buttons, making notifications appear on the boys' Rotom Phones, making them look at the screens.
"What did you do, Mom?" asked Stan.
"We sent you the Flying Taxi app." said Sharon. "It's something that will send flying transportation over to you get you places a lot faster than a train."
"Yes, but it only brings you places you've been before." said Shiela.
"Why?" asked Kyle.
"Who knows?" replied Sharon. "Maybe whoever made it thinks you should experience everything the region has to offer and doesn't want you missing out on something amazing by taking the quick way to new places."
"I guess." said Kyle.
"Thanks, Mom." said Kenny.
"And if you ever get homesick or just want to visit, you can use that to bring you back to Wedgehurst faster." said Liane.
"Cool!" said Kenny.
"So where are you boys going to go?" asked Shiela.
"Well, the closest gym is in Turffield, Mom." replied Kyle.
"Well, we wish you the best of luck, boys." said Sharon.
"Thanks, Mom." replied Stan. After the boys and their families leave the stadium, the boys walk west of Motostoke while their families walk east towards the train station. Now that the Gym Ceremony is over, the boys can start on their journey to Turffield where they can earn their first badges and be one step closer to competing in the Galar League.
