Chapter 34 The truth will punch you in the face!

After all was settled and done, the Four matriarchs that caused the group so much trouble were in a cell made by Vulkan, enforced with magic runes by Magnus and with the help of Issei made of unbreakable shadows. It was Placed in the middle of the main hallway; all the matriarchs glaring at the cage. Many questions were on their mind but those could wait. It was time to tell the truth to one who deserves to hear it. Horus waited in the lunch hall, as it was the only part of this building without a hole in it. Though Horus prepared to tell Issei the truth, this was an important, and risky, meeting. She felt nervous to tell him the truth. What would he even think?

Horus waited in the room and thought about the words she was going to say.

"Oh what am I going to say, the earth you know is gone, we are at war with almost every species alive and now you must know of the warp," Horus knew that they were from truly different worlds Horus pinched the bridge of her nose. "Oh, what would he do if he knew of a servitor? Fix them and enrage the tech priest"

Horus gave a sad sigh and glanced at her hand. She couldn't help but think how truly lost Issei was in this world. Horus gripped her fist in righteous determination. She would not let that light burn out. Issei was hers to defend with all her might. Horus stood up with great vigor and decided to go and find him. It was time to show Issei the might of the mankind. No longer shall the filth of the devil taint Issei's soul. He shall be reborn and cared for in her hands.

It was then Rogal had walked, followed by Mortarion, The Lion, and Ferrus of all people. It was strange to see the four here, together. Horus raised a brow to them all.

"What are you doing here?" Horus asked in a genuine tone of voice of confusion. The Lion sat down and glanced at Horus. Mortarion lay against the wall. Ferrus and Rogal chose to stand. All had their gazes set on Horus.

"We are here to assist in your meeting with that boy," The Lion spoke. Horus quickly understood their presence. They were intimidated by Issei. Horus felt this was extremely unnecessary due to their guest's power, and she wanted to establish an unbreakable trust and create a potential future ally. The Lion gave a serious expression.

"Is it true?" The Lion asked. Horus was stumped by the question, not sure what to say. Rogal could see the visible confusion and decided to clarify.

"She means if Issei and Lorgar bested…" Rogal was hesitant to even say Icarion and Malayalam names, given that they were stricken from all imperial records. Horus gave a calm confirmation in the form of a firm nod. The room tone shifted into a tense silence. Rogal again had thought about Issei's strength, underestimating it yet again. Mortarion respected Issei more, again admiring his strength and endurance.

Ferrus had a smile on her face. This was something she hoped to hear and left the room. The rest wondered where she was off to but it didn't matter. Horus realized this was no attempt of intimidation, but a confirmation of rumours they were just as interested in as she was. Horus gave a soft chuckle.

"Issei battled with Icarion and defeated her, it was quite amazing," Horus said with a smile. The Lion, Rogal, and Mortarion had one thought on their minds.

"He would do well to serve under my legion," The three thought. If defeating Fulgrim wasn't enough, Issei had also won against Icarion, an almost invincible warrior in their eyes. Horus could see their want and desire; to use their ally in war as soon as possible. Horus crossed her arms and gave a studious gaze.

"What are you doing here exactly?" Horus asked. The Lion showed Issei's phone to Horus.

"I'm here to give Issei a message from his home," The Lion said. The Knight had given herself a duty to get this message to Issei. Horus read the contacts on the screen and her eyes widened.

Issei was finally alone in his room taking in the empty room, he needed an hour to himself. After what he did he glanced as hand.

"How could I just do that," Issei thought, making someone see only the worst. He thought of Que's words. When he said anything, he meant anything with the shadows. Issei's eyes widened at this revelation.

"Does this mean I can go back!" Issei said as he looked down at his hand and towards the wall, he closed his eyes and held his hand out. Thinking of the place he wanted to go and letting those shadows know what he desired. He tried to think and let that darkness rift open a door but had no avail.

"It's not gonna be as easy as you think," Que's voice said to Issei the young teen ignored it and kept working on his goal. Issei could hear Que clear up his throat.

"Hey sorry about pushing yea like that, I overstepped a line,"

"I didn't think powerful beings like you apologized for anything," Issei said.

"Yeah well, I am, I'm sorry I won't push like that again I was worried about you is all,"

Issei could hear the sincereness in his voice and had to take a deep breath.

"Alright, what are you saying about the portal thing? why can't the shadows take me home?" Issei asked. Que could hear the sorrow in Issei's voice, of how he missed his home and it pained him.

"You have power but you lack Control. Yesterday was evidence of that. You see this isn't just some energy source you can take to power yourself up. Your hands can mold the universe like clay, but you're still a novice apprentice. What you need to be is a master sculptor,"

"You took me here, I'm fine now! Why can't you take me back? I miss them, Que! I miss my world, my friends and I miss her. Please take me back to my home, that's all I want," Issei opened his eyes and held his hands. "But I know I can't do that to Konrad and Angron, I don't want to leave them here, they deserve a second chance. To live a life in peace,"

"Issei can I be honest? I didn't know they were going to be here, the Matriarchs. I know they showed up at the same time as you did, but I don't know how they got here, all I know is that it was the work of light, and if that is the case then I believe my brother is involved," Que said. Issei perked up at the news.

"You mean your brother is here," Issei asked.

"It's hard to say he kind of comes and goes," Que said.

"You should be more mindful of where you have your conversation," Magnus said as she walked into the room, spooking both Issei and Que. Issei glanced at the Red Giant. She closed the door behind her. She only showed kindness, revealing her shadow eye. She gently sat on the bed.

"Issei, if you want to go back to your home, I understand, Konrad and Angron will understand," Magnus said. Issei lowered his head, a sad look on his face. The young teen hops on the bed and grips his head.

"I love Konrad and Angron, heck even Fulgrim is starting to grow on me. I mean she makes supermodels look bad, Lorgar is super cute but it's just I have to go back home! But there's something else-," Issei was cut off by Magnus.

"You're lacking control of your powers, yes I heard," Magnus said, making Issei hold his head down in shame.

"When I had Ddraig I lost control and became a monster. I hated losing my anger. However, this time it was different. It was like I was drunk on power, making choices that I wouldn't usually do, and acting more spiteful."

There was a long silence in the room as Issei felt more ashamed of what he did. Magnus put a gentle hand on Issei's shoulder.

Nov 25"Perhaps I can assist you with your training," Magnus said. "When I was young I had much grasp over my power, but lacked certain control"

"So what am I lacking?" Issei asked.

"Issei forgive my brash tongue, but I believe it's your fear holding you back. The reason we went to find Malayalam is that we thought she might have been able to heal you from your sleep and maybe help you with your trauma," Magnus said. Issei glanced away but felt unworthy of their help. Magnus could see the pain in Issei's eyes and boldly grasped his chin with a gentle hand. Gudeing Issei to face her.

"Issei please do not worry. We wanted to do this for you, to protect you, Like you do us," Magnus said. Issei held Magnus's hand to pull it off his face but his finger tangled with hers.

"It's my problems that keep getting everyone hurt," Issei answered. Magnus gripped Issei's hand in a firm hold. "I have this power but yet I can't wield it at the right moments,"

"Issei's it's not your fault. Doubt. That right there will be your doom. Please allow me to show you a mental exercise that I learned when I was young," Magnus said with great pride and hope wanting to help Issei.

"Wait exercise?" Issei said, his lewd nature going into the gutter. Magnus could read Issei's reaction and blushed.

"Not like That!" Magnus said in anger. Issei quickly became embarrassed by what he thought and shyly looked away.

"Sorry," Issei said, Magnus took a calm breath and lowered her head to meet the teen's gaze.

"Listen to me Issei. You must match yourself to the sky. Right now, you are agitated and your mind is clouded by your uncertainty. Close your eyes and envision the sky as your mind, and clear it," Magnus instructed. Issei noted he was willing to do anything at this point to try and free himself of any pain. He didn't want to lose control of his power and hurt anyone close to him. He closed his eyes and began to try to concentrate.

Just as his mind began to settle, his attention snapped to the wooden door.

The door, (and almost the entire wall) collapsed as Lorgar, Konrad, Angron, and Fulgrim lay on the floor. Sanguinius was in the hallway standing idly by. All of them have awkwardly stared at Issei. Mangus broke the tension and felt outrage.

"What is the meaning of this!" Magnus said.

"Did you say I put supermodels to shame Issei, You do truly adore me!" Fulgrim yelled with a blush. Lorgar was also blushing and shyly glanced at Issei.

"You think I'm cute," Lorgar said, feeling honored. This was her soon-to-be lord who would make her happy, in Lorgar's strange world. Issei blushed realizing that he had been spied on. he immediately tried to look stoic.

"It was nothing! you all mean well to me," Issei said in a shy voice. They all got up and glanced at Issei seeing he was stressed. It was something they hadn't seen in Issei for a while. Issei could see their concerned gazes but the young teen had questions for them. Especially for Angron and Fulgrim seeing how they were up and appeared to be fine.

"Are you two okay? I know Icarion's power can mess with your mind but please let me know if you're okay!" Issei said. Without warning, he was swept up into the arms of Angron who deeply hugged him. Issei didn't even hesitate and hugged her back. Angron snuggled herself into Issei's neck as she held him tight.

"I'm just glad to see you," Angron said but was reluctant to let go of Issei. The Young teen gently rubbed Angron's arms and whispered in her ear.

"You don't have to let me go until you're ready," Issei whispered. She didn't want to let go. She wanted to pretend to have not ever seen that horrible future. It was then that Angron felt a supporting hand on her shoulder. Lorgar smiled softly at Angron.

She let out a reluctant sigh and put Issei down. The two couldn't help but gaze at each other. The moment was cut short when Fulgrim sarcastically coughed in her hand.

Issei and Angron's attention shifted to her. He saw Fulgrim innocently guarding her eyes, looking shyly down at the floor. Issei knew what he had to do. Konrad and Angron both knew they were okay with sharing but it was time to see if that agreement could be held with Fulgrim.

"aren't you forgetting something Issei?" Fulgrim said in a calm tone of voice. Issei let out a chuckle.

"Thank you for trying to help me. I guess we're even about the whole fighting thing, aren't we?" Issei said.

"Oh it wasn't any trouble but those visions are lingering on my mind, I hope to converse with my sisters about what to do next," Fulgrim said, only getting supporting nods from Konrad and Magnus.
"Of course, we will help Fulgrim," Konrad said, giving her sister a quick hug. Fulgrim gladly accepted it. However, Issei had another subject to discuss with Fulgrim. Not to mention Sanguinius was another topic on her own.

"Fulgrim!" Issei called out. She was let go of the hug only to be met with a serious glance. Fulgrim gulped at Issei.

"If you're serious about being in t-the harem then could you show me your cheek?" Issei said though trying to be stoic there was a bright red blush on his face. Fulgrim turned her head to show her cheek and wondered what strange ritual this was. Then without a warning, Fulgrim felt a gentle soft kiss on her face. Issei held his head down trying to not show his blush. Angron and Konrad were holding in their laughs at Issei, Lorgar's jaw dropped in shock at what happened. Magnus glanced away, thinking it was all frivolous. However, her face was bright red.

"I accept you into my harem!" Issei proclaimed super fast and shyly. Issei didn't know what he was doing, only letting his emotions run wild. Konrad giggled at Issei's reaction; she didn't mind Fuglrim being a part of this harem, especially now that she was more humble. It was a gift from Issei that made Fulgrim more noble, something their father could never do. Angron was more shocked to see how much blushing was going on with Fulgrim's face.

Fulgrim gently touched her cheek where Issei had kissed her. She questioned why her heart was racing this fast. Fulgrim should have been calm. She was the one with the most experience with romance but here she was blushing like a child.

"Oh, why am I acting like this? I know why. Because this is true love isn't it? This being who is equal to me, who truly loves me and sees me as a person. Oh, Issei, my heart burns for you!" Fulgrim thought. She was snapped back to reality. When Konrad nudged her shoulder. Fulgrim was back in the room trying to regain her composure. Her eyes latched onto Issei who was still shying away.

"Thank you for the honor," Fulgrim said. "But next time I hope we can do more than just a peck on the check,"

Konrad and Angron narrowed their eyes at Fulgrim. Issei's virginity would be taken by one of them but now there was more competition. Angron and Konrad wanted to make his first time memorable and gentle so that their love could last forever. (Both also wanted to assert dominance by being the leader and alpha of the Harem).

Issei rubbed the back of his head and gave a sly smile. "Well let's get off this planet first. Then will talk about it,"

Loragr couldn't bear this, she needed to say what was on her mind and more importantly, what was in her heart. She gripped her book in her hands, it took some time, but Magnus was the one who gathered all the pages and rebound it for her. Lorgar stepped forward with all the courage she could muster.

"ISSEI I HUMBLY ASK YOU TO JOIN YOUR HAREM!" Lorgar said with all her heart. Issei was taken aback a bit and didn't know what to say. Unfortunately, the grip on her book was too much, and her spine groaned under the pressure. The spine snapped, and The contents of the book spilled out onto the floor. All of them could see the many drawings of Issei. Lorgar's jaw dropped as did the others. Lorgar's face turned crimson. She let out an embarrassed yelp trying to pick up the paper. Lorgar had quickly scrambled across the floor, picking up almost all of them. All except one, Issei picked up one of the papers and gazed at it. Lorgar was about to call out for it but was cut off by Issei.

"I like your drawing," Issei said, making Lorgar freeze in place as Issei handed it back to her. He gazed kindly at her. Lorgar felt like a deer in headlights as Issei reached up and kissed her cheek. Lorgar was flabbergasted at Issei's choice.

"Why isn't he getting so embarrassed?" Lorgar questioned in her mind.

"But-but-but," Lorgar said in total confusion. Issei tilted his head towards Lorgar with a silly smile.

"Hey, Lorgar at this point you might as well be in after everything you've done for us. You helped us, and you are such a great person. I'm surprised you thought you even needed to ask!" Issei said with a beam of joy. Lorgar's knees became weak. The embarrassed matriarch hid her face away from the one she loved.
"You don't find me agonizing to deal with?" Lorgar murmured weakly.

"What are you talking about? You're one of the nicest, bravest, kindest, selfless people I've met so far in this crazy world. I think you're wonderful," Issei admitted. Lorgar felt her heart about to explode with joy. After so much ridiculing and rejection in a lifetime. Now it felt like she was being smothered in an unexpected dream that she never asked for but now she knew she could never live without this love, knowing that it existed. A love that gave her faith in humans and herself.

"Thank you Issei," Lorgar said in a whisper. After a comfortable silence settled in the room. Issei never thought that his dream would come so soon he had an official Harem. Full of wonderful women that he would protect in a heartbeat. Magnus stood up and put a comforting hand on Issei's shoulder.

"Thank you guys, for so much, but I still have to get you all off this planet," Issei said with a determined voice. All of them smiled back knowing there was no stopping this young man who accepted them for their flaws and brought hope to them. There was a knock at the door frame. All of their attention was snapped at the door.

Ferrus was standing at the door. Issei knew there was one more important matter to take care of and that was explaining himself. He glanced at the others with a hopeful smile.

"Are you guys ready for the truth?" Issei said. Angron and Kornad both gave a nod. While Lorgar gave a hopeful smile and Fulgrim fabulously slanted her short hair.

"Of course," Fulgrim said. Issei nodded and all of them left the room, following Ferrus as she led the way. Lorgar was walking by Ferrus while Issei decided to take the lead walking by the women with iron hands. Issei never could form an opinion about Ferrus. She always seemed so in the back, only speaking when she needed to. However, Issei couldn't help but stare at her metal arms. They were so cool! The material was the same color as polished iron. Fulgrim noticed the young teen's lingering eyes.

"Issei it's not polite to stare," Fulgrim said, making the young teen tense up. Then he had an embarrassed look on his face.

"Sorry Ferrus," Issei said. Ferrus didn't care and paid no mind to Issei. "It's fine boy, just don't let it distract you from the conversation with us,"

Lorgar could hear that irritated tone of voice but kept calm. She was sure that Issei would be respectful. She wore a proud face, knowing that Issei would come forward with the truth. Ferrus gave a side glare at the others.

"Keep any lewd action to yourself while we're in there, understand? Even you, Fulgrim..." Ferrus said. She received a handful of glares behind her back. Fulgrim scoffed at the accusation. Konrad and Angron rolled their eyes at Ferrus. Of course, they knew to be professional. However, Angron wonders if Issei would discuss Que. They walked to the main entrance to the mess hall. Ferrus opened the doors. All the matriarchs were there, even the two lost ones. Alpharius, Omegon, Icarion, and Malayalam were kept under Vulkan's chains. They seemed redundant, especially when you are surrounded and guarded by the deadliest warriors in the galaxy. They hung their heads low. Issei was unsure why they were in the same room as him. The others in the room faced Issei as he walked in. Issei couldn't help but let out an awkward laugh. It was getting easier for Issei to gaze into their faces. Horus sat at one end of a table while the other was empty. Sanguinius sat by the empty chair, closest to Issei. She waved to him with a joyful smile. Issei waved back but was nudged by Ferrus to keep moving forward.

"Please take a seat," Horus said to Issei who gladly accepted it. Issei did so and couldn't help but notice the table position was almost like a negotiation. The ones that would appear on the news, when he watched TV with his grandparents. Horus didn't have her war claw on but just her normal hands which held each other nervously. There was a pause in the room, as Issei and Horus waited for the other to speak first.

"Issei we appreciate-,"

"Horus I can't thank-,"

Issei and Horus both stopped talking as they unintentionally cut each other off. They couldn't help but laugh at each other. It was strange for Horus to do that because she could always read people and predict their words so that she would never lose or stumble over herself.

"Sorry," Issei and Horus said at the same time. They both paused and chuckled. Horus thought this was an odd first jinx moment. Horus would have spoken again, however, Russ was picking up on this awkward moment and decided to cut this chit-chat. Russ started to notice the others in the room were getting annoyed.

"You talk first alright!" Russ yelled at Issei. Horus slapped her forehead. Though Issei was unafraid and quite calm.

"I'm sorry. I know you all have a lot of questions about my powers?" Issei asked. Horus took a calm deep breath and gently gazed at the young teen. She brought her hands together in a thinking manner like she was trying to think of the right words.

"Issei I speak for everyone here that your powers have done great good for us all," Horus said, glancing at the ones who had been afflicted with incurable pains, illnesses, and disabilities only for them to be cured in a matter of weeks. Horus even thought back to when even Sanguinius, her dear beloved sister, suffering from the red thirst only for it to be cured. Horus has smiled at the idea that many of them are finally free from their afflictions.

"Issei I mean this from the bottom of my heart thank you for all that you have done for us. We cherish your company and your power. You're a wonderful person who showed nothing but kindness. But your power, while mighty, is dangerous. Could you give us a better explanation of its origins? Even if they elude you." Horus said with up utmost respect, that would have been only given to another, that is the Emperor himself. Issei knew this moment was coming but oddly he was ready for this. He wanted to tell them the truth now it was time.

"Knock them dead kid," Que said in the back of Issei's mind. Angron and Magnus were worried that Issei would tell the truth about Que, the God of darkness that lies within. What would the others say, would they kill him and call him insane? but those options seemed absolute after everything they had witnessed.

"You all know where I came from right, a world of gods and devils? Well in my attempt to try and make myself stronger, I had my sacred gear. When I got rid of a friend, I may have let someone take the wheel," Issei said. In an awkward tone of voice. The Lion spoke up first, not truly understanding what Issei had said.

"You mean there is another sacred gear inside of you?" The Lion asked. Vulkan wondered what kind of weapon it was to allow Issei to control such shadows.

"It's not a sacred gear," Issei answers. Rogal eyes widen as if there was a realization of deities and angels that existed in this world, where they're capable of possession or living dormant in the human soul or body.

"So the question you are telling us now, is who's in your body?" Rogal stated. Issei nodded, Magnus took a step up and gained much of their attention. She was going to speak.

"One night I decided to enter Issei's psyche to see if he was truly telling the truth of his origins. I know it might've seemed a tad bit intrusive but I learned my lesson," Magnus said. many shook their heads and disapproval. Konrad now knew why Magnus had entered Issei's chamber that night. She was still frustrated by this sudden breach of his personal space though.

Russ scoffed at Magnus but could see she was distraught when she spoke of it. "And what did you see?"

Magnus took a deep breath and tried to relax, thinking of the best way to describe what she had witnessed.

"Well, he introduced himself as Que," Magnus said. The room had a sudden temperature drop. Just the mention of its name made some have a chill down their spine. " When I challenged him, he appeared as an honest-looking man. However, when I tested his temper, I was met with only his true form." Magnus paused as she looked very uncomfortable to speak about what happened next. Angron was confused when she met Que, her impression was of a somewhat foolish, loving father. Not a dark God. Vulkan put a comforting hand on Magnus's shoulder. Magnus felt that comfort and continued.

"I saw the Milky Way galaxy, and only through the light of the galaxy, I able to outline its hand. Its palm surrounded our galaxy. I felt no malice or intention towards me. He seemed old and lonely," Magnus said the information that was told made some of them anxious around Issei. However, Konrad, Lorgar, Fulgrim, and Angron were still by Issei's side. He could've been the son of the devil himself, but they wouldn't have cared in the slightest. Horus glanced at Issei hoping for an answer.

"Yes, Horus it's true," Issei said. There was a slice in the room.

"So how powerful is this shadow being," Perturabo asked. She had to ask even though the answers were laid in front of them, being able to cure so many of her sister's afflictions, while also blessing Issei to carry the power to defeat one of the matriarchs. Sanguinius held Issei's shoulder and glanced at the other.

"Why do we doubt him now? I beg you all not to forget the kindness he had given us," Sanguinius beckoned to them. Horus nodded and agreed she wanted to change the conversation immediately.

"I couldn't agree more please I believe we are done here, we can conclude this small interrogation," Horus said only for The Lion to swiftly and firmly put her hand on the table. The action shocked the table and Russ gave a death glare to Issei.

"Not so fast Horus, the boy doesn't get off that easy," Russ said.

"I agree," Rogal said. Guilliman was calculating and wanted some safety insurance. The others who cared deeply for Issei didn't like where this was going. Perturabo and Mortarion had their arms crossed feeling the hostility in Russ' voice.

"I believe there needs to be a discussion of how freely you use your power," Guilliman said.

"Perhaps a limit to your power," The Lion said. Magnus stepped forward in front of the Lion.

"That would be your advice. I shall oversee any of Issei's training. The extension of his power shall be monitored by me," Magnus said, trying to almost protect Issei's freedom. They could all see the unknown danger Issei held. This young man was something beyond their control and understanding.

"I couldn't agree more, which is why we will discuss this later," Horus said in a grave tone of voice. Russ and The Lion were a bit taken aback. Horus had taken Issei's side. Issei was happy to have friends stand by him. However, they did forget to bring up the point that he did almost let some sadistic nature take over. It was only a brief moment, but he still remembered it. The moment he forgot to be kind.

"Yeah, if anything, Issei has perfect control over his shadows," Sanguinius said. Making some of the others who opposed Issei's freedom of power take steps back. Russ still didn't care; she wanted to make her point and clear across the table.

"Understand me here and now boy, if you dare betray us or your kind again, I will personally be your executioner," Russ said the whole room was split as some were close to crawling over the table and punching Russ in the face for that comment. This tension was surprisingly broken by the sound of a sharp size, dragging across the wall and making a sharp screech. All of them turned to see it was Mortarion who did it. Rogal was irritated that such damage had been done to her work, but it was effective in gaining the attention of the room. Mortarion steps echoed through the room as she stood in the middle of the table.

"I agree with Magnus," Mortarion said. All of the matriarch's jaws gate at what they heard. How could this famed witch hunter agree with someone who dealt with the dark arts?

"Issei has shown us there is more to us than meets. The eye has revealed truths about ourselves that were hidden from my fairy existence. It was thanks to him, and the power that was under his control that we were made aware of this. We all can see the potential in it, but we all must see it's dangerous if it is unchecked and falls into the wrong hands. However, this power is not in the wrong hands. It is in very capable, strong, and compassionate human hands," Mortarion said then slowly turned her attention towards the young teen, who was lost in her words.

"Issei I have not had the best experience with people with strange abilities however, you've done more for them than I could ever imagine you're found truth in your pain and struggle. I only ask that you keep yourself on a noble and righteous path," Mortarion said. Issei gave a fast stern nod, calmly putting his elbows on the table.

"Horus, please tell me the truth about the imperium. When I went through Sanguinius's mind I saw many things that I didn't like," Issei said. Horus nodded and stood up, pulling a small device and setting it on the table a holographic map of the Milky Way galaxy appeared in the world, illuminating it in green light. Horus would show Issei the truth of where he truly is.

"Issei, this is our galaxy, it is great and vast. A long time ago humanity ruled over the stars. We had the greatest technology," Horus said. She glanced at the map and held her head down in a disappointed manner.

"That was centuries ago and unfortunately that golden age of humanity was gone. This was due to warp storms that cut off Humanity's colonies. Many worlds were lost, and we would enter a dark age," Horus said in a grim voice. Issue watched as some planets vanished from the maps.

"Many planets survived, some had to fend off xeno and warp anomalies, and others weren't so lucky and perished, quintillions of human lives lost because it all fell apart," Horus said. The map was turned off showing all of them with grim expressions.

"All hope seemed lost until our father the emperor brought a new light to humankind. He was able to rebuild from the ashes of the old world into a magnificent empire. With one goal in his site, to take back the stars and save humanity from the darkness of this galaxy!" Horus said with great pride and care. This was the greatest moment in most of the Matriarch's eyes. However, when Horus turned to face Issei she could only see uncertainty in his eyes. Like what he heard wasn't enough.

"Issei what's wrong?" Horus asked. Then a small laughter echoes throughout the hall. All eyes turned to face Icarion who held her head down but still chuckled. Russ roughly grabbed the back of Icarion's head and forced her to look at her.

"What's so funny," Russ growled.

"It's because he already sees through your lies, oh what a ride seeing Horus's words fall short on this boy's ears," Icarion was met with a swift punch in the mouth but it couldn't wipe the smirk off her face. Issei winced at the action. Horus could see that fear in Issei and felt scared of what Issei knew and what he would do with such things. Horus' eyes widened as she saw Sanguinius look, shamefully. Horus then realized what had happened.

"When you were curing my dear sister, freeing her from her curse. You must have seen something," Horus thought. Issei bowed his head to them in advance of what he was about to do.

"Issei what are you doing," Rogal asked.

"I'm apologizing in advance for what I'm about to say next," Issei said with a hint of anger. He stood up and glared at Horus across the table.

"I know why you're doing this. To bring people together, but there are things I can't just gloss over. What I saw in Sanguinius' mind, couldn't be justice like what you said. I can't just stand by and not say nothing," Issei said. Horus took a deep breath, this was the first time any of them had seen someone react to their past. Konrad, Angron, Lorgar, and Fulgrim became worried. They weren't aware that Issei had seen some of the unspeakable atrocities they committed. They felt a bit nervous.

The Khan and Mortarion understood and agreed with Issei, knowing that many of them should be judged for their crimes. Corvus lowered her head in shame remembering the time she had to make the grave decision of taking so many lives.

"Don't you dare try to judge us with your outdated, moral compass! You have no idea what age you're in, YOU STUPID BOY!" The Lion yelled marching right at Issei. She wouldn't just stand here and be judged by this man who had little understanding of this word. She glared bloody daggers at Issei who stood his ground.

"I said what I said, but I'm not afraid of some person who can't handle criticism, you should sit back down," Issei yelled. Sanguinius immediately moved in front of The Lion. The great knight of Caliban took a step back, as Sanguinius defended Issei. The two matriarchs had a standoff. However the red angel would always come out on top, and the lion knew that. She stepped back and snarled at her.

"Tsh, enjoying your pet already," The Lion said. Sanguinius stood unafraid and unfazed by the comment. Horus was worried about what the room was turning into. It was clear as day that some of the sisters were choosing a side. A split isn't something she wanted. Issei then glanced at Horus, still trying to keep his cool.

"I understand that you all built great worlds that brought peace, I know of the losses you all suffered. The great sacrifices you all made, The soldiers that won't ever get to see their families again. I know what you were doing, building better homes and lives for those who didn't know any better," Issei said, taking a lot of them by surprise. Magnus gave a smile seeing how much more mature Issei was being like this. Russ was trying to think of anything to yell at the boy. Yet he was saying what great deeds they did, there was no anger or arrogance. Issei spoke with utter care and understanding, all be it a little reluctantly.

"But I also saw, I saw, I saw," Issei paused as his eyes began to water. Taking a deep breath trying to not cry. Thinking of the horror Issei saw. It was only now that Issei truly remembered what he saw. Angron's eye glowed yellow as she took that pain on herself. Tears leaked from her eyes as well, she covered her gaping mouth holding back the scream of pain. Issei glanced at Angron and gave a nod.

"Issei what did you," Horus asked in a slow worry. Issei couldn't express this pain through words. Issei held out his hands and a dark sphere of shadow appeared in front of them all. Images of battlefields that many of the matriarch knew for they lead their legions onto them. Picture of mutilated bodies appeared on the sphere. Bodies that looked too young to be soldiers. Cites that were burning to black ash, worlds that fell because they refused to bow their head. Many of the great warriors looked away with shame, some couldn't bear the site. While others watched head-on accepting what they had done.

"Horus tell me about the great crusade," Issei said in a gentle voice. All of them remained silent there was no answering the things they saw. An uncomfortable silence formed. They knew what their legions had done, and they knew that they would carry that weight for all eternity... But the ones who were most tense were the matriarchs of the legions: Konrad, Angron, Ferrus, Sanguinius, Rogal, Mortarion, Leman, and The Twins.

"HORUS PLEASE TELL ME THE JUSTIFICATION!" Issei yelled his voice taking such volume it shook the room.

Are you sure about that Issei?" Horus would say doubtfully.

Horus… Please… As I told you, I want a justification for what I saw with my eyes. Because if another person, other than me saw this, they would not look at you as saviors or heroines, they would look at you as monsters," Issei said. Those words were a hard blow to the morale of the Matriarchs since they never expected to hear him say it, but it was justified. Issei would only take a breath sitting back down, stressfully rubbing the back of his head. He felt the soft hand of Angron rubbing his back. Horus held her head down her eyes being shadowed by her hair. Horus got up from her seat and walked towards the end of the table. Issei looked up at Horus only to see Horus move in a blur. Many thought that Horus was about to attack Issei because he had said something to trigger Horus. Konrad, Fulgrim, and Lorgar were about to run toward Horus then stopped, only to see that Horus was not attacking but kneeling in front of Issei. Horus glanced up at the young teen and said something that made the whole room's jaw drop.

"I'm sorry,"

Issei was met with the kindest face he had ever seen. Tears had begun to leak from Horus's face as she was starting to break down.

"I'm sorry I kept promising myself that you would see only the best of the Imperium. We have only beaten you, trapped you, injured you," Horus took a deep breath and tried to keep calm.

"I know all of you knew this didn't you," Issei said, trying to get a reaction out of most of them. Konrad didn't dare to look at Issei afraid his reaction was, "You all had to do the unthinkable but that's because you all have to fight for the cause, I only hope one day you can make peace with what you did and make right of it."

Issei's words struck the hearts of many in the room, even the queen of iron was touched by his words. Some didn't think they ever received forgiveness; or to them no sign of hope for the action they caused. Issei shyly looked away from them.

"I'm sorry about that but I can't ignore it anymore, all you have blood on your hands even Vulkan," Issei said in a surprised tone of voice. Russ had a surprised expression and turned to face her sister.

"What did you do?" Russ asked. Vulkan glanced away knowing what she did.

"You don't want to know," Konrad said, even finding that event disturbing enough.

"I'm sorry if I made you guys uncomfortable, but I just had to say it," Issei said, making a valid point. Russ crossed her arms while the Lion glanced away. Mortarion nodded at Issei; he was not here to judge but down to the point, she respected that.

"Besides I still have to keep my promise to you guys and I can't do that if we're at each other's throat," Issei said. Horus was stunned by the news.

"You still think about that declaration you made to us?" Horus said.

"Of course, I wouldn't leave you guys like this we have to work together until we get off this rock," Issei said with a determined smile. Horus nodded and was happy to listen to Issei. Angron smiled while Konrad was lost in Issei's words. Logar felt inspired by the young teen's actions here today. Sanguinius held her arms with joy knowing that Issei accepted them, flaws and beauty. Russ couldn't tear her eyes off Issei only seeing a true leader in front of her. Magnus admired the young man with full honors, seeing a future hero of the Imperium. Guilliman was a bit baffled by this young man and she found him so strange, yet pure-hearted. Guilliman would have to be a fool to not notice all the relationships Issei was building. It was astounding, Issei wasn't the type to be lazy. She caught onto many of Issei's glances shot toward a certain few matriarchs, which was very organized in her opinion.

"Why do you always help but you're just too kind," Ferrus said. Issei shrugged his shoulders.

"Hey it's just who I am," Issei said, "That and like big boobs,"

Konrad, Angron, Lorgar, and Fulgrim all had tiny ready blushes, they hid from the others. Those who are very close to Issei wanted the relationship to be hidden from the public eye, but there is no helping yet the only thing they could do was just have each other and enjoy it. Sanguinius had to let out a laugh, she did like a man who did have a little humor. Sanguinius took a deep breath to take off her edge.

"I never did apologize for when I attacked you, I'm sorry for doing that but I guess it never really mattered to you in the first place does it?"

"Eh, water under the bridge, you're too cute to stay mad at," Issei said making Sanguinius blush.

"No wonder your work ethic has been so positive"

when you are clearly around beautiful, big-breasted women," Rogal said with a straight face. Issei stopped and tilted his head at Rogal.

"Did you just make a joke?" Issue asked amused at what just happened. Rogal only gave a calm smirk showing a bit of happiness that Issei thought he would never see. Not because Issei thought he couldn't make Rogal chuckle but because Issei thought that Rogal was incapable of smiling.

"You'll find more than what lies above the surface, Issei," Rogal said. Horus was joyful that this tension was broken away, that a friendship was being built upon her right now.

"Thank you, if there are any more questions I will be more than happy to answer," Horus informed.

"I do have one thing to ask," Issei asked.

"What's the Emperor's name? Like his real name," Issei asked. there was a long, silent pause in the room as it wasn't like no one was going to answer him. It was more so that no one knew the answer.

"Guys what's wrong, did I say something wrong," Issei said. Horus immediately wanted to reassure he didn't ask anything wrong.

"No Issei, it's an innocent question but we just don't know his name," Horus said. Issei raised a brow at the answer.

"You've met him, right? Isn't he well your father- I mean creator," Issei had to stop himself from saying that word trying to not upset Angron and Konrad.

"It's fine you can call him whatever you want," Angron said.

"Well didn't he at least raise any of you," Issei asked in a surprised tone of voice.

"No, we all grew up differently. Almost all of us grew up in a life without the emperor, Horus herself was the one to spend the most time with our father but that was after her childhood," Rogal recounted the memories. Horus nodded and gave a sad chuckle.

"I was the first to be discovered for I never left the planet," Omegon said. Horus's head spun around at what she heard. Russ and Horus found that hard to believe because they were there.

"Silence sister," Alpharius Mumbled.

"What nonsense are you rambling on about," Russ said with narrowed eyes. Omegon weakly looked up to meet the two sisters' gazes.

"What's the point in hiding anymore? They've got us cornered," Omegon said. She glanced at Horus showing a calm smile.

"nonsense I already met you, you were the last matriarch I met, I'm guessing this is just a lie. I bet I already met you when I spoke to Alpharius, you were just hiding on the ship," Horus said with heated anger. She wanted no more lies and deception this was to end now.

"If you need any proof, then let Magnus read my mind, you all need to see this," Omegon pleaded to the others. Horus gave a glance to Russ wanting her opinion on this.

"It couldn't hurt to check," Russ said.

"We don't even know what else she's hiding from us, we have to do it," The Lion said with unbiased hatred as he stared down at the twins. The Lion never trusted them in the first place. She always found Alpharius to be a snake and a devious one. Magnus walked forward and held her hand out. Omegon closed her eyes and welcomed what warp power would be inflicted upon her.

"Don't resist while I walk through your mind, it would hurt," Magnus said. Omegon smiled and nodded. Alpharius wanted to protest but was silenced by The Lion's stare. centuries of planning, and watching, had gone down the drain. All the work had been for nothing; the future that the two worked for was gone or made worse. Magnus's eyes glowed as she read the mind of her fellow sister like a book: granted Omegon was extremely cooperative: but Magnus still tread carefully.

The next seconds were quiet as they waited for Magnus to be done. Even if Russ didn't prefer this method of interrogation, they were still going to get answers. Lorgar began to uncomfortably fidget with her hands. They didn't know what they were going to hear but all this talk of The emperor didn't sit well with her. Fulgrim put a gentle hand on her shoulder seeing how tense.

"I'm sure it's not true, I mean for what reason would he keep Omegon a secret from us?" Fulgrim said.

"I don't know Fulgrim, there have been many things that have been revealed to us, not to mention The shame of keeping secrets from us, I don't know if I can look at the Emperor the same again," Lorgar said. Many in the room try to ignore what she says but their eavesdropping ears can't help but pick it up. There was something in her words that spoke a harsh truth.

"That's a good thing," The Khan said. Who walked by Lorgar's side.

"Sometimes it is best to see the real picture and form your own opinion," The Khan said. Jaghatai gave an approving nod toward Lorgar. If anyone else could see the truth of the Emperor it needed to be Lorgar. The Khan wanted Lorgar to think for herself. In truth, her gaze was more on Issei who gazed at Magnus, wanting an answer. The Khan couldn't help it, but every time she gazed at Issei she felt a sense of hope. The room was divided into two but Issei managed to bring it together. The Khan had seen this boy make the impossible happen. This was beyond a man's determination but a grand powerful force that was being guided by a righteous hand. She was a logical thinker yet if the odds were against Issei she believed that he would always come out on top. It made her have a bright smile on her face.

"NO!" Magnus let out a bloody cry. She had seen things, secrets that were not supposed to be told, and truths that shouldn't have been told.

Magnus snapped back out of her state and fell forward to the ground. Thankfully Issei and the Khan caught her before she could hit the wooden floor. Magnus was sweating and tears of shock, she was sweating and crying from both her eyes. Magnus's breath was scared and ragged. Issei recognized that look and held Magnus close.

"She went into shock," Issei said. Angron quickly stepped in and used her powers to share that panic with everyone in the room. Everyone was brought to their knees feeling the same type of treachery that Magnus did. That moment passed and soon the feeling faded as the pain was shared with everyone. They all tried to understand why Magnus felt like this but it was terrifying to even ask the idea. Issei only felt his proactive feelings flare up as he held Magnus back to her feet along with The Khan.

"Are you okay," Issei asked.

Magnus remained quiet for only a moment but took a deep breath and recollected herself. The red giant eyes darted across the room seeing many concerned faces staring at her. Yet this did not ease her panic, it was only then that she felt Issei's hand clapping over one of her fingers. She gazed down at Issei whose calm warm sympathetic eyes brought a certain calmness to the Matriarch's inner turmoil.

"What did you see?" Issei asked. The Khan could see how much of an effect he had on Magnus. The Red Giant had to take a seat and slowly sat down on the seat.

"I saw enough, they were the ones responsible for twisting Sanguinius into the red thirst, an attempt to kill Issei," Magnus whispered. Sanguinius clenched her teeth in rage.

"Magnus?" Horus said wanting to know if she was alright.

"She was right, she was the first one found," Magnus said, shocking the room. Russ didn't know what to say. How could Father lie about something like this? Rogal sat down and began to think calmly about this information given. Ferrus crossed her arms and looked at them.

"Why should we care?" Ferrus said. Meanwhile, Icarion smirked as the loyal matriarch's foundation started to crack.

"I agree, please let us talk about these matters when we're off this world," Rogal said. Many of them agreed there was no time for this drama. They need to work out a solution to get off this planet. Issei did have one question in his mind.

"I'm confused, why were you guys so far away from him?" Issei asked. Magnus decided to step in and answer this question.

"Father has told us when we were too young to remember, A warp storm pulled us away from his grasp on flashed across the universe, each of us landing on one different planet," Magnus informed while Issei now had a better understanding of why some of his beloved matriarchs were suffering horrible fates. Yet it still wasn't an excuse for how horrible the emperor treated Angron. Russ and Horus both could see the turmoil in his eyes.

After yesterday's demonstration of how Issei would've reacted when he met the emperor accidentally mistaking Lorgar for him, they wanted to be safe.

"Issei we know you mean well but these times are tricky," Horus said. It appears everyone was going through their turmoil but Issei had more questions for someone else he stepped off the table and walked towards Omegon and Alpharius with only one burning question in his mind.

"Why did you two try to kill me," Issei asked in a stern tone of voice. Omegon had to let out a gentle laugh not in a mocking manner but as if she would enjoy telling the truth. She tilted her head in a playful attitude. Russ meanwhile already formed her answer to this problem.

"There is no explanation... I always suspected them and this shows that they were always traitors!" Russ said with a furious tone of voice. Such anger that made the others take a step back. Russ' anger would soon be stopped by Issei who calmly stoof in Russ' way. The young teen cared no ill will but didn't want conflict in the room.

"Russ, I ask you please not to speak in their name, just like the great crusade. They surely have a justification for what they tried to do to me and it certainly has to do with more than just my power, but with something more important, " Issei said in a serious tone while continuing to look at Omegon and Alpharius. Alpharius didn't want to acknowledge Issei but his words spoke truth. Not to mention she would blush thinking about bending to that boy's will. Alpharius shook that idea off. "No, I am the emperor's pawn in the great game not being Issei's woman!"

Russ glowed at the comment. The Lion knew one thing: never stand between a space wolf and something that pissed them off.

"And that matters, no matter what they justify, it does not take away from the fact that they are traitors to the empire, and for their actions, they should be executed, by my hands!" Russ said in a heated rage. Issei was fed up with this tough guy act it was clear as day that Russ was just being dense and he was fed up with it. Before Issei could let out a rageful shout. Laughter from Icarion, and Malayalam.

"Are you serious? you're called the Emperor's Executioner? That is too funny," Malayalam laughed. Russ was about to shut up. Only for Icarion to cut her off.

"Do they even know the truth? Why don't you tell them Horus," Icarion said. Russ froze in fear as she glanced across the room seeing all eyes on her. Horus began to act a bit skittish. Issei even was confused when he thought about how Russ killed them. Russ took a deep breath and stayed stoic

"I killed you both in battle, that's the end of it," Russ said.

"Is that the lie you spun to sleep at night? You fat slob," Icraron said. At this point, the Matriarchs in the room thought that Russ would have walked across the room to break Icarion's neck but the way Russ was so tense said another story.

"Shall I say how it happened or is this your honor," Malayalam said to Icarion.

"Oh believe me the honor is mine," Icarion said with a malice-filled smile.

"Shut up, that's not what happened," Russ quietly said, like a child who was in trouble. The Lion stepped forward, narrowing her eyes at Russ.

"What are they talking about?" The Lion asked.

"Nothing they're just rambling on to save their skins," Russ said. Malayalam narrowed her eyes and smiled.

"You call us traitors but when we met on the battlefield you fought us, you beat us down, but guess what? She never made a killing blow. She hesitated every time. The truth about Russ is she couldn't kill us, it was Horus who had stabbed me in the back and left me for dead while my planet was slowly destroyed in front of me," Icarion said.

"What a joke! you know what she did when she beat me to a bloody pulp and I couldn't move? She left me on the ground while Horus had to throw my body to the warp," Malayalam said.

"You never killed us," They both said. The room was shocked and oddly relieved while they also found it very surprising that Horus had done such dirty work. Russ was at a loss for words and sat down. She hung her head low. Issei could see the storm of emotion behind Russ's eyes.

"Through all of it I could never kill one of my sisters, I know my father ordered it, but I couldn't do it so I left, and then someone on the way. I hoped that they would be alive," Russ grabbed her head in shame. Knowing that she failed to do such a simple task. Then Russ felt a gentle hand on her shoulder seeing Issei standing there lending a comforting hand along with Vulkan who smiled.

"There is nothing wrong with hoping for a troubled family to change, I'm glad you didn't follow through on the order," Vulkan said with a joyful smile. Issei took a sigh of relief.

"Oh thank goodness I really thought you were a psychopath now I get you're just a big softy inside aren't you?" Issei teased. Russ raised a brow and gave an annoyed glance.

"You are pushing it today?" Russ said. Issei shrugged his shoulders.

"What can I say I like honest women as well," Issei said. Russ was taken aback but could see it was just a playful joke.

"YOU LIAR!" The Lion yelled out.

The Lion quickly raised her fist and was about to strike the dumbfounded Russ only to be blocked by Issei. Who floated in the air as he blocked the full force of the punch. Issei was about to throw another punch when many of the matriarchs pinned the two down before the fight could escalate.

"ENOUGH!" Magnus shouted. Her voice cut through the room like a knife. All eyes are now on her. " I am tired of us being pitted against each other. We are sisters, bonded by blood. Enough of this strife! It will lead us nowhere!" Magnus said in a tired voice making her point across. No smoke and mirrors to escalate her words into a spectacular showing. The room settled back down but the Lion stomped to the other side of the room, not accepting what she heard.

Russ looks more ashamed that she disobeyed The Emperor of Mankind. Issei could see what this Emperor's actions were doing to his family and he didn't like it one bit. There is one word that was missing from this group of siblings, it is love, a bonding foundation of a family.

"Please continue," Horus asked Omegon, who was just as shocked by what she witnessed.

"I'm sorry. For the longest time, I believed I could only tell lies but here I sit telling the truth. Funny how the world works, isn't it?" Omegon said with a smile. Her eyes then glanced at Konrad and Sanguinius "You're not the only ones who can glimpse into possible futures,"

Konrad and Sanguinius both had stunned faces at the information. They knew the pain of seeing into the future could hurt and twist you if you followed it blindly. Now knowing possibly that the twin matriarchs were suffering from such an affliction. Konrad took the initiative to speak.

"What did you see," Konrad said. Omegon smiled and lowered her head. Horus didn't want to hear more but she feared the truth. Rogal didn't like it but they needed to hear more about what reason why Alpharius tried to kill Issei. It was quite obvious that Omegon had second thoughts and tried to prevent the assassination.

"Issei the reason we tried to kill you is because we wanted to keep the future the same, only now I realized how foolish I was," Omegon said, now holding her head in shame. Alpharius glanced at Omegon wanting to hear something else, How could her other half betray the truth they followed?

"What was that future, did you want us stranded on this planet even longer? Do you want to go home!" Perturabo said with rage. Omegon felt such pain for the longest time. She wanted them to be all together to talk and converse after the Great Crusade, but now it was a nightmare of her creation.

"I'm sorry I know not that's not much but I have to explain my upbringing. Yes, I was the first matriarch to be discovered by our father, but he did not raise me. He left me more in the care of Malcador, he taught me to use my innate power to erase my presence from others, and successfully, infiltrated most of your legions to spy on you," Omegon said. Many of them were outraged by this for what reason was this espionage needed for the Imperium?

"Why do this?" Magnus asked.

"In case any traitorous behavior was ever spotted. It would've been taken care of and swept under the rug, Father was just being careful," Omegon said. Guilliman understood the need for self-protection, in case there were any other loose traitorous actions like the two lost ones but even for the royal Daughters this was certainly not welcoming information. Horus was shocked at the news while others such as Angron, Konrad, and the Khan weren't very surprised.

"I know father wanted this but why did you do this?" Vulkan asked.

"Because the vision was awful but we thought we couldn't prevent it, we were afraid to bring the information to Father of it," Omegon said.

"We both know that's not true, we believe he is already aware of the future we saw and is waiting for it to come," Alpharius said, wanting the right answer to be said. yes, they were caught, but if they were going to be telling the truth, I might as well be the full story.

"Then tell us what you saw, what future are you seeing that makes you so afraid that makes you sneak in the shadows and pull the strings while we're not looking," Horus said with a great stoic nature. Konrad stepped forward as well.

"Where's the justice in that?" Konrad said. "What did you see?"

"We saw a future war. This was a war between humanity itself, a war that touches the skies of Terra to the galactic rim, the sea boils, the stars fall, and the Galaxy burns. A World of grim darkness. Technology declines while religion takes over, making humanity nothing more than religious xenophobic zealots," Omegon said.

"A war that pitted brother against brother, space marine against space marine father against son. In this future half of us and our legions turned against the emperor. A great battle wounds our father, making him incapable of getting off the golden throne. now being a martyr for a false religion. This civil War, that tore apart the galaxy lead by one,"

All the matriarchs were too afraid to ask who let this charge be and who was the one responsible for this possible outcome. Issei was the one who broke that hesitation of asking.

"Who was it?" Issei asked, oblivious to how serious the answer could've been. Omegon and Alpharius looked at one, and their expression declared everything. Horus' heart skipped a beat. Vulkan gasped and covered her mouth in shock.

Rogal in a blur rushes across the room and grabs both Omegon and Alpharius' throats, pinning them both against the wall. Even Perturabo is stunned, seeing such a brutal side to Rogal.

"Never say such a thing ever again!" Rogal yelled with such rage that even Konrad shuddered. Rogal gripped the two twin Matriarchs' throats so badly that the corners of their eyes were starting to turn red.

"ROGAL!" Issei shouted.

"That's enough Rogal!" Sanguinius yelled out, shocked to see such a violent outburst.

Rogal felt a sense of calm rush over her as Angron was the one to use empathic powers to quell Rogal's rage.

Rogal before felt an uncontrollable anger at the sudden declaration of her dearest sister, being a future traitor to the Imperium of Mankind. Now the rage was slowly going away as her grip weakened. The two twin Matriarchs slowly fell to the ground. Rogal turned around to see Angron reaching through to her with her empathic powers, but she could see it took great effort as blood began to leak from Angron's nostrils. Rogal was stunned at what Angron did. Rogal studied her hands, seeing that they were shaking. Guilliman and Horus both guided Rogal away from the two and into another room. Angron's eyes stopped glowing and took deep breaths.

"For someone who is the quietest, she certainly holds a lot of rage, good thing I'm used to that," Angron said. Issei held onto Angron's hand which she quickly accepted and gripped back. Angron knelt and met Issei, with a kind worried gaze.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me, I can take care of myself," Angron said. Issei took a sigh of relief and held onto Angron's hand tighter. It was only then the teen realized many curious eyes were on them.

Angron blushed and looked around, seeing many of them were staring at them. It was clear as day to all the matriarchs that a relationship was right there in front of them. Icarion and Malayalam were a little curious themselves, was romance a possible option for them?

They had other things to worry about. Omegon let out a soft cough.

"I'm sorry but that's the truth forgive but can I say that was a little bit of an overreaction," Omegon said. Issei nodded.

"Yeah, I could agree," Issei said then walked toward the two helping them to get to a comfortable sitting position. Alpharius was reluctant about the hospitality, but surely felt it.

"So you guys were going to try and kill me because of what? all this stuff kind of sounds like it's more related to Horus than me," Issei said.

"It was all supposed to happen until you showed up," Alpharius said in a somewhat defeated tone of voice. " your presence alone somehow changed destiny,"

Issei was a little stunned by that remark but tried to act humble about it. Though Konrad and Sanguinius were both glued to the floor.

"But everything that was going to happen. It will not happen again. why? why?" Omegon finishes Alpharius's words before he can finish. "Because you changed their destinies Issei. Everything that was going to happen was destroyed by your presence. The war that divided the galaxies, the decline of the empire, and the galaxy being at war, were destroyed. Thanks to you Hyoudou Issei," Omegon said with a smile, while some tears fell from her face.

"You still haven't answered what you saw to make you Omegon stop the assassination attempt on Issei's life," Angron answers. Omegon gazed at Issei and spoke calmly.

"We just saw how many lives Issei would save," Omegon said with a smile. Then her eyes glided across the room specifically to the Matriarchs. "And you did make a very mighty harem if I do say so myself,"

Alpharius blushes and annoyingly looks away. "All we see is you standing with us along with your friends and family,"

Issei's eyes perked up and his breath was calm. He wanted an answer now, what did he have to do? Where did he have to go? How could he go home? "What did you say?"

Konrad could see that blind hope for the future in Issei's eyes and quickly held Issei's shoulder, snapping him out of that high-hope trance.

"Issei don't let the future blind you. You will achieve your dreams through hard work, and if the path is a rocky one then that's what it is," Konrad informed. Issei nodded but still gave a glance at Omegon. Sanguinius' wings blocked Issei from gasping anymore into the twins.

"Please forgive me but maybe it would be best if you didn't dive deeper into the subject of seeing into the future, it can be a bit tricky," Sanguinius said. Issei took a deep breath and nodded. Angron, Lorgar, and Fulgrim wanted to chase after him but Konrad halted them from pursuing any further.

"He needs some time please," Konrad said. The other understood but still didn't like it.

"Listen to her kid, don't mess with the future that's for old men traveling in police boxes," Que said, trying to reinforce the Waring. Issei felt a little cornered in the room. He needed some space.

"If you excuse me, I'm just gonna take a step outside," Issei said as he walked out of the room. Many of them wanted to go after him but knew he needed some space. Ferrus steps up and gazes at all of them.
"Perhaps that's enough asking questions for today," Ferrus announced in the room. Speaking for everyone. in the room. Magnus couldn't agree more only finding horrible truths. One the massacre of the thunder warriors, Angron would've died if the butcher's nails had not been removed and most importantly what her duty was to their father. They were tools to their Father's plans and she would sit on that golden Throne, forever gazing into the infinite light. A duty that was more like a prison sentence. She was Magnus the Red. She didn't want to do that, she wanted to explore the stars and the multiverse, with Issei by her side. her train of thought came to a hole when that popped into her mind.

"I guess you are more obviously in love than you thought," Que's voice rang out in her head. She let out an uncomfortable sigh.

"What do you want? can't you see I'm busy," Magnus thought.

"Look, all I just want to say is you are more than just a tool, and Issei can see it. If you want I'm always here to help, not to mention you would make a great addition to that boy's harem," Que said with a sassy tone of voice. Magnus blushed and covered her face in shame. Russ glanced at Magnus and raised a brow.

"What's the matter with you?" Russ asked.

"The same thing that makes you blush at night, that boy is such a handful," Magnus said. Russ let out a low laugh.

"I guess that's the first time we ever agreed on something," Russ said.

"I guess this truly is the end times," Russ jokes.

Issei walked through the halls and headed for the door outside. He stressed and rubbed his face in anger. He wanted to go home to see his world again. He glanced into the deep forest trying to ease his stranded pain. He sat down on the grass ground, taking a deep breath again. The shadows in the area warned him of something approaching but Issei could handle it. Though right now in this moment he wanted to have some time to himself.

Issei hangs his arms over his legs. Looking ahead trying to not think about the future or to not say it was set in stone. Issei had seen firsthand what putting all faith into seeing into the future. Konrad was being plagued by such things. But that didn't mean he couldn't hope for the best.

Issei wanted to sit here in peace and have a moment to himself. Issei took another deep breath but as soon as his breath left his mouth. The feeling of a blade was pressed up against the left side of his neck. While two slim legs hooked under his own and an arm snaked around his neck.

"It saddens me to see such a sad face on a creature like you," Issei recognizes the voice that whispers in his ear. The harlequin had returned. Issei gritted his teeth and looked over his shoulder to see that mask looking right at him. However, he noticed the person's Amber's eyes. The solitaire felt her own shadow slam her back to the ground and quickly restrain her as the darkness formed chains around her.

"I knew you were there the whole time," Issei said. She let out a small laugh. She could have easily broken out of this prison but she wanted to study her target more. Issei had an unimpressed look on his face as he looked more annoyed than afraid. The solitaire let out an amused laugh. Issei rolled his eyes and glanced at her.

"What is your deal dude!" Issei said with an exhausted voice. "Because right now what's stopping me from going to the other room and telling the others you're here,"

"You might be strong but you are as open as a book,' She said with a sly voice. "You want me to be subdued rather than butchered by them, what a thoughtful Monkeigh you are,'

Issei rolled his eyes at the insult not knowing what it fully meant but still didn't enjoy being called that.
"Then what is your name," Issei asked.

"I apologize, when I perform no one is alive after the show for me to say my name," The Solitaire said with a calm tone of voice. She then gave a deep bow to Issei. "My name is Elranel Star, a pleasure to meet you,'

She tilted her head as she slipped out of her shadow chains. Issei was on guard again, ready to strike. He wasn't underestimating his opponent but he would stop her in case she did something to the others.

"If you want a fight, you're not gonna win," Issei said, narrowing his eyes. Elranel Star slowly showed her short daggers and smiled.

"Shall we? let's not take too long my master wishes to see you," Elranel said with a mocking salute. A sudden feeling of death rushed through the air as the sound of steps approached the two from inside the fortress.

"I feel this dance may go to me," Mortarion said as she walked out of a hole in the wall. Mortarion glanced across to Issei and nodded. Elranel became more enthralled than ever. A battle against the king of shadows and pale queen.

So that's the chapter we are getting so close to the new arc this new part of the story is called Invasion so beware of the next chapters for they have slurs such as Knife ear, Green Skin, Monkeigh, Xeno, and let's not forget about the old classic heretic. You have to love that old 40k name-calling. Anyway, I know there have been some complaints about the grammar but if you guys see something in this chapter or the previous chapter I wouldn't mind if you point it out. English is my first language and I've yet to truly master it. I do have to say you're all great for sticking with me this long even with the mistakes. Also to answer some questions.

ICA Agent 47 my answer to you: I'm not sure if I want all of the matriarchs to be in the harem but I do want all the traitors to be in it and some of the loyal daughters. I might think about Rogal, The Khan, Russ, and Vulkan. Also, I just want to say the situations are cast in. Might make some people tense so remember, When Issei and the others get to a safer place. more of the girls might want to speak about what's on their minds. Also, Russ can make mistakes but she can learn from them.

Also Btw for the reaction serious Doctor Wondertainment Is going to be taking more command of the room next time also I like the takeaway away all their powers as to have "NO FIGHTING in the theater" I'll think of a way to get other late audience up to date information but I just wanted Loki to see his handy work get body by some matriarchs.

A lot of shocking news has been dropped to the matriarchs have the roots of the heresy been uprooted or Is the Issei Heresy being foreshadowed :) Just kidding but The emperor of mankind needs some parnet lesseon. Thank you for reading and you guys have a great day.
