It's finally happened. Lori has asked Clyde out for dinner. Clyde has visioned soemthing like this for a long time, but never thought it would be real. In Vanzilla, Clyde is seated next to Lori as they cruise through town as they head to Smerchins.
They park across the street from the restaurant and get out of the van to go in. Unfortunately, the duo see a big crowd infront of the restaurant.
Lori ends up looking the most disappointed. "Great, just fucking great! I thought for sure I'd get to try that food, but I guess I was wrong, just like I've been wrong abotu EVERYTHING tonight!"
"Well, maybe if we wait a little longer, we can-" Before Clyde can finish, Lori speaks.
"We!? Who do you mean WE!? This is NOT a date!" Lori yells.
"But, but I thought-" Lori cuts Clyde off again.
"WELL YOU THOUGHT WRONG!" Lori yells again.
Clyde, upset at being yelled at, looks down and begins walking to a nearby mailbox. Lori, realizing what she had done, begins walking to Clyde. "Clyde, wait, I didn't mean, oh, what did I do?" Lori goes back and stands by an alleyway, unaware that a man, at least 20 years old, and sporting a pair of torn jeans, an Iron Maiden T-shirt, and a greasy black mullet, is standing right behind her.
"I blew it! I totally blew it!" Clyde frustratedly bangs his head on the mailbox. "This was my one chance to impress her, and I couldn't" Just then, Clyde can hear Lori's scream, and he heads back to where Lori was, but finds she's gone, then he sees the man dragging Lori into the alleyway and holding a knife to her throat. "Scream all you want, nobody can help you now! I'm gonna become the American Jack the Ripper, and you're lucky enough to be my first victim!"
The 11-year old boy, not wanting the love of his life to be harmed, steps into the alleyway as the criminal throws Lori to the ground. "Now what shall I do with you?" The criminal looks at Lori's back. "I know, Blood Eagle!" The man grabs the back of Lori's dress, but before he can make any other moves, Clyde runs at the criminal, headbutting him on the back of the knee.
"Nobody is hurting her!" Clyde bravely confronts the criminal and gets in a battle pose.
"Well, lookie what we have here, some dark meat. My favorite." The criminal steps forward, grabs Clyde by the collar of his shirt, and hoists him up. "I think I'm gonna deer you." Clyde stares in confusion.
"Uh, what?"
"I'm gonna cut open your torso and take out your organs."
Clyde gulps upon hearing this, and the criminal throws Clyde to the ground and points his knife forward, unaware that behind him, Lori has regained consciousness.
"HELP ME!" Clyde screams.
"Clyde!" Lori runs up behind the criminal and kicks him in the groin from behind. "I am so glad I agreed to Lynn's training regimen!" Lori continues attacking the criminal with several punches, kicks, and karate chops. "You're not hurting this kid on my watch!" The criminal shakes his head.
"I should've waited to make my debut." The criminal can say nothing further, as the 17-year old performs a flying kick with both feet in the criminal's stomach, knocking him to the ground, while Clyde looks on, amazed at how skilled Lori is in combat.
"Wow" Clyde says. "She's beautiful, AND she knows how to fight, I thought there was more to her than meets the eye..."
"Take my hand!" Lori says, extending her hand to him. Clyde takes her hand, and they run, and after reaching a safe-enough distance, they stop.
"I never thought I'd actually have to fight." Lori remarks.
"Are you kidding, you're like a female Bruce Lee! You really had that guy on the ropes!" Clyde compliments.
"Just some stuff I learned from Lynn."
"Well she taught you well. Thanks for saving my life."
"Well you came to save mine, it's the least I could do, and, I was wrong about you, you're actually, quite hard not to admire. Ya know, you're actually more willing to put your life on the line than Bobby ever was. I'm really starting to reconsider my relationship with him..." Lori, remembering all the times Bobby walked out of his and Lori's plans, looks at Clyde and smiles. "Hey, you wanna head to the movies?"
Clyde, already happy to have been invited to a night with Lori, smiles widely. "That would be nice, there's this new Godzilla movie, Godzilla Minus One, I hear it's pretty good."
With this, Lori and Clyde take eachother's hands and walk off.
