The night was going better for Lori and Clyde than either of them ever thought. They went to the movies, they went to the arcade, they even took a ride on the ferris wheel at the carnival, and now they're headed to the karaoke joint, Songs And Fun.
"Ya know, I hate to admit it, but tonight turned out pretty fun." Lori said as she and Clyde entered Songs And Fun. In the joint, the duo are sorting through songs before eventually settling on Billy Joel's 'The Ballad Of Billy The Kid'. After making their decision, they approach the owner of Songs And Fun.
"Hey, do you guys have any costumes or props we can use?" Lori asks.
"Wow, I think you're the first two people to ask for props since that family that sang Sabaton's 'Sparta'." The owner said.
After a few minutes, the owner came out on stage. "And now, for our next performers, we have, Lori Loud and Clyde McBride." With that, the music starts, and Lori and Clyde come out dressed as cowboys, then begin singing and doing cowboy-related theatrics, with each of them taking turns singing verses, and singing both chourses together.
After their karaoke session, Lori and Clyde take Vanzilla out on the open road in the outskirts of Royal Woods and eventually stop nearby a hillside that overlooks the whole town. This area is a popular spot for romantic partners, despite rumors of a serial killer and a dangerous creature lurking in the area.
Clyde looks on in amazement. "Royal Woods looks veautiful from up here." he says.
"Yeah, it sure is." Lori climbs to the top of Vanzilla and takes CLyde's hand and helps him up there as well. The duo look down toward the city, the lights shining, the cars down on the streets looking like ants from where the duo are at.
Clyde then turns to Lori. "Lori, I'm sorry about earlier."
"No, it's me who should be sorry, I shouldn't've snapped at you. I'm just glad to be with you."
Clyde, who had been wanting to hear those words from his crush for a long time, smiles widely and begins swooning.
Lori chuckles a little at the sight.
"So what'll ya tell your sisters?"
"Just that I had a nice night with Clyde." Lori then looks to Clyde. "Listen, I know how much you like me, but we'll have to wait at least 9 years before either of us can ask to marry the other. For now, though, we'll have to keep our relationship a secret from my siblings."
"And what'll ya do about Bobby?"
"I'm dumping him tomorrow morning. Tonight, you've shown more loyalty to me over the last few hours than Bobby ever did over an entire week."
A little later, Lori has dropped Clyde off at his place. Clyde had fallen asleep on the ride, so Lori took him out of the van and carried him into his house and laid him on his couch.
"What a nice kid." Lori gets out of Vanzilla and is greeted by her siblings.
"So how'd it go?" Leni asks.
"It was nice." Lori answers.
"Well I guess we all learned something today." Lynn says.
"What's that?" Lori asks.
"That spell was worth every gathered ingredient!" With that, Lynn goes outside and lifts Vanzilla over her head, then balances it on her finger like a basketball.
