Chapter 25 Rise

Kida entered the chamber where the Heart of Atlantis was kept. The Heart was a large crystal glowing with a teal light, rotating, translucent sphere with a jagged surface emitting a flaring white aura. Around the Heart were levitating stone effigies of the past kings orbiting around it. Kida looked at the images of her ancestors and bowed her head in respect to them as she said a little prayer to them for the success for what she was about to attempt.
The princess got beneath the Heart and pointed Gungnir up at it firing a beam of light up at the crystal. The Heart glowed brightly as Kida focused on what she wanted most for her kingdom and it's people. The entire kingdom began to shake and the Atlantians looked up in stunned amazement as the kingdom was surrounded by a blue dome of energy. Then the entire kingdom began to rise up pushing through the layers of earth that had previously been above Atlantis and filling up as they passed through it. Higher and faster the kingdom rose, until finally it reached the surface and sun. The kingdom of Atlantis and it's land formed island as it rejoined the surface.
Kida walked out of the chamber to the sounds of her people rejoicing at being on the surface. It was a very bright day for Atlantis.
