Challenge of Angry Older Adventurer
"What?!" The girls and others gasped loudly that almost hurt Bell's ears.
Bell and Ryuu, along with the twins and Echidna, came back to the Loki Familia campsite and they explained everything that happened at the crystal with Menace trying to use her charm on him which failed big time though he did let her have sex with him, but he faked falling under the charm and Menace revealed herself to snake woman.
"I can't believe Menace turned out to be a monster woman this entire time and she was trying to make us into her slave for her whatever kingdom. What's just wrong!" Welf angered of this.
"And to think I was gonna share some of the snacks I kept around even after losing my old backpack." Lili pouted and clutched her fist.
"It's freakier is that she was a monster with intelligence of a human, this is just like the slime woman all over again." Risty recalled meeting Melona and almost got killed if Leina hadn't stepped in when she did.
"You know, this reminds me of that rumor about one or two Adventurers coming out of the Dungeon barely alive and mentioned about talking monsters." Tiona mentioned.
"But we really didn't think anything serious about those rumors and just shrug them off as nothing but false tales." Tione explained, now seeing that those rumors might be true.
"Great, now we have a crazy love snake on us!" Hestia exclaimed.
"I don't think we have to worry about her attacking again." Echidna said.
"What makes you say that?" Mirim asked.
"Just a hunch." Echidna grinned.
"It looks like monsters are becoming an even bigger problem in the Dungeon if there are more of those freaky things like Menace and Melpha." Hestia worried.
"I don't know, she didn't seem all that bad to me." Bell said.
"Oh, is it because you were enjoying her body so much that you wanted to make her the slave instead of the other way around?" Hestia asked with one raised eyebrow.
Bell gasps from how his Goddess and lover could even ask such a question then notice his other two girlfriends and other girls around him around giving him a serious look at him, almost like they're trying to look into his soul for answers.
"Oh boy, you got yourself this tough spot, man." Welf chuckled.
"No, no, it's nothing like that and why would I want to treat her as my slave! I would never do that!" Bell stated as he rapidly waves his hands in front of himself.
"True, Bell is too kindhearted to do something like that." Leina said.
"But it still sounds like you were enjoying the sex, admit it." Leina said with a small glare and leaned closer to her boyfriend.
"Well, I… Huh, it was… I was trying to… Maybe it was—What I mean is… Yes, I did enjoy it." Bell admitted sobbing a bit.
"You should also be ashamed that I saw the whole thing while being under her charm." Ryuu looked upset and face away from Bell.
"I'm really sorry, but I just wanted to be sure what Menace was after exactly!" Bell proclaimed, though he can't deny that the sex with her was good.
"She mentioned a kingdom called Amara, we used to hear that story from our uncle when we were little kids." Tione mentioned as she starts the story.
"Amara was once a strong and beautiful kingdom that stood 4,000 years ago with the princess destined to take the throne to become its queen, but one day the kingdom was attacked by an enemy kingdom and brought the Amara to ruin along with princess's death. Nothing was left after that." Tione told the tale of Amara.
"Our uncle even found skeletons with weapons pierced through their bones, he deduced that the murder on the people of Amara was brutal of a massacre." Tiona added.
"Damn, talk about kingdom comes down." Welf commented.
"Too harsh, Welf." Lili said.
"But I'm a bit confuse, why does Menace want to go through the trouble of reviving a dead kingdom that once existed 4,000 years ago?" Hestia asked, not seeing the clear picture here.
"Yeah, does she have some connection what Amara or something?" Leina asked.
"That's a big question that only the snake bitch can answer, if she be willing to tell us." Risty said, not that she wants to see Menace again.
Bell does a little thinking about how Menace talked about Amara and the look in her eyes, all of those pointed at Menace knowing more about the kingdom personally than she's letting on, like she's been there before.
"Tiona, Tione, do you two know the name of the princess who died with her kingdom?" Bell asked.
"The name?" The twins looked at each other for a second and they just remember the name.
"Oh yeah, her name was… Menace." Tione said as she becomes shocked.
"Same name as the Menace we know today, and she did sound like she more personal and serious like she was there to begin with." Echidna suspected with her usual relaxing expression.
"Hold on, you're not saying that Menace here and the dead princess from back then are the same person?!" Welf gasped.
"No way, that's not possible! She would have to be immortal in order to live that long, not less she was a God!" Mirim freaked out.
"If she was a God, I probably would have heard of her back in Heaven." Hestia crossed her arms under her breasts.
"But that would still be impossible!" Mirim pointed out.
"Sounds like we got ourselves a big mystery here." Leina said to Bell.
"Yeah, and the only one who can help solve this mystery is Menace herself." Bell looked out of the tent, wondering what Menace is exactly and how is she alive after a long time.
"Bell." Ais said, getting his attention.
"I advise you not to even think about showing mercy to that monster again when you see her next time." Ais said with a fierce glare which spook Bell a bit.
"She is nothing more than a fucking monster than needs to be killed at first sight, they're just the ban of the world that must be cleanse no matter what." Ais said with her eyes showing deep hatred for monsters.
"Whoa, never seen Ais being so angry before." Tiona surprised.
"Does she always hate monsters so much?" Ryuu asked.
"Not sure really, she never talks about her past though we can tell that something did happen to her from the village she used to grow up in." Tiona explained on what they do know.
"Just kill it when you see that monster again." Ais advised.
"I guess that something to do any Adventurers would do when coming across monsters, but I want to understand her more. I'll decide what to do after that." Bell said.
Ais is surprised to hear that Bell actually wants to understand a monster just because she can think and feel like any other humans, he should be thinking about killing that monster instead of trying to understand it. But then she started to think if killing monsters with feelings is the same as the other monsters.
(Nighttime)
During the night at a local bar in Rivira, the man who bumped into Bell earlier is drinking with his two comrades though he looks more in an angry mood than enjoying the good drinks here.
"Fucking damn it…" The scared man muttered before drinking his cup.
"Oh, come on, just give it a rest already, Mord." One guy with cat ears said.
"Shut your face!" Mord threw his cup off the table.
Mord has brown hair and golden-brown eyes. He bears two long scars on his face, one on his left cheek, and the other across his forehead. He wears a fur strap around his neck and chest on top of a green shirt, as well as dark brown gloves and a belt over orange fur cloth and grey leggings. Beneath this, he wears black striped chartreuse boots. His armor consists of shoulder plates that reach down to his lower arms.
"That little bastard and his lady must've use some kind of trick to get this far, those stupid stains." Mord angered about Leina and Bell getting to this floor of the Dunegon.
"Are you for real, bro?" One guy with a white band that keeps his hair up chuckled.
"What?" Mord glared at the two guys.
"Are you saying this doesn't affect you too? Those little twerps made it all the way down to the middle floor as soon as they leveled up." Mord said.
"He's making a mockery of guys like us. We've been doing this for years!" Mord pointed out, this got some of the men to somewhat feel what he is going with.
"We Adventurers got to follow a certain code, and somebody will have to teach them that. All we need to do is get him alone." Mord planned to teach those two brats a lesson.
And then an elusive man came into the bar walking straight up to Mord.
"Huh, and who the Hell are you?" Mord asked.
(The Next Day)
"I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU?!" Bete shouted in rage at the shocked Bell on the ground.
"Why did you get a chance to see Asfi Al Andromeda take a bath!" Bete threw a kick close to Bell.
"Wait, it wasn't on purpose!" Leina tried to calm the wolf man down.
"How am I supposed to be calm when he even showed off his dick to her and was about to even do a sex show to Ais?!" Bete angered with a fierce glare like his eyes are burning with rage.
"You better believe that the only reason I'm not killing you both right now is because Ais deem you two as friends, so be grateful!" An elf girl angered.
This girl is Lefiya Viridis, also goes by the Thousand Elf. She has golden yellow hair, round dark blue eyes, and pointy ears. She wears red and white clothing with white long boots. Her hair is long and tied into a thick ponytail. Breasts size: D-cup.
"Were you two planning to show off your love because that sounds annoying!" Beter shouted again.
"How dare you were trying to corrupt Ais!" Lefiya glared fiercely.
"Will you two just let it go already?" Tione asked as she and Tiona pulled the two away from Bell and Leina.
"Lord Hermes made him do it, and he's getting punished as we speak." Tione mentioned.
(With Hermes and Asfi)
Hermes' punishment is him being hanged upside-down and the rope holding him up is Asfi who is carrying out her God's punishment.
"Worth it!" Hermes laughed, not really caring about the punishment as long as he got himself a good moment to remember.
"Honestly, God Hermes." Asfi sighed.
(Back with Bell and Leina)
Lefyia and Bete demanded to be released so they can go punish Bell for the "crime" of doing such a thing to Ais, but the twins refuse to let them go.
"I don't think he learned how to sit when he was in training." Leina joked as she helps Bell up.
"Are you two okay?" Ais asked.
"Yes, we're fine." Leina nodded.
"So, you're leaving pretty soon and ahead of us, right?" Leina asked.
"Yes, and it looks like I'll be part of the lead Party. You and your Party have been assigned to the trailing Party; I assume." Ais informed.
"We are, promise us that you'll be careful." Bell said.
"Yes, and you be careful too." Ais nodded with a kind smile.
Hestia is watching this from the tent, seeing that Bell is warming up to Ais just like before Leina came into their lives.
"Oh dear, looks to me like Bell is gonna make that Ais girl part of his harem soon. Guess that something I'll have to accept." Hestia said while spraying herself with her new perfume.
But suddenly something unseen grabs onto Hestia and concealing her mouth to prevent any scream for anyone to hear, she struggles to break free but couldn't break free as she was dragged away from the campsite.
Leina and Bell wave goodbye to Ais as she leaves with the twins with Tiona giving Bell a wink telling him that he'll be expecting him soon up on the surface.
"I don't know about you, Bell. But I am going to take a week-long vacation from the Dungeon." Leina planned.
"Me too, all the monsters and danger we've been through almost scared the life out of me." Bell agreed, a week off from adventuring sounds pretty healthy.
Bell and Leina enter the tent to see if Hestia is done packing, but they find the tent empty.
"That's odd, has Goddess Hestia gone out to walk?" Leina asked.
"I don't think she would without telling us." Bell said, meaning that something feels wrong about this.
Leina looks down to see the perfume bottle along with a rolled up piece of paper, she picks up the paper to see there's a message inside and gasp upon reading it.
"Bell! We have a problem!" Leina showed the letter to Bell who also gasp.
(With Ouka)
Ouka is alone in some parts of the woods to get in some last-minute private training before he and the others go back to the surface with the Loki Familia, he swings his wooden sword to practice his combat skills.
But then he heard some rushing footsteps nearby and look up to see Leina and Bell are running in such a haste that it's like they're in a hurry for something. And Ouka can tell that it's something bad.
While Leina and Bell are running, they remember every word said in that message.
Little Rookie and Wandering Warrior,
We have your Goddess. If you want her back in one piece, meet us at the big crystal east of the center woods. Come alone.
"Those men, I will NEVER forgive them if anything were to happen to Goddess Hestia!" Leina angered.
"Don't worry, we will get her back! I promise!" Bell promised to save Hestia from those mean men.
(With Hestia)
Hestia struggles with her arms being tied behind and around a tree, and being guarded by two of Mord's men.
"This isn't gonna end well for you! You can't just go and kidnap a Goddess, you know!" Hestia scolded while trying in vain to break free.
(With Bell and Leina)
The rookie duo arrives at the area where the message said for them to head, they look around hoping to find their Goddess here and the culprit who took here.
"Hey, you kids made it." Mord said, revealing himself.
"You! You're the man from yesterday in the city!" Leina recognized the scared man.
"Where is she? What have you done with our Goddess Hestia?" Bell demanded with a serious look in his eyes.
"Follow me." Mord said with a confident grin as he walks.
Bell didn't like this, feeling this could lead them into a trap but knew they didn't have a choice right now if they didn't go along with whatever this man wants. So, they follow him to a large ledge cliffside where the spot almost looks like an area where there are other older Adventurers, all smirking evilly at the kids.
"Bell, I think these men are angry at us." Leina said.
"But why? What did we ever do to them?" Bell confused.
"I'm not really sure myself, but they're not gonna let us go until they get what they want." Leina guessed as they come face-to-face with Mord.
"Just so you know, we didn't kill your Goddess. I'm not stupid enough to get the Gods all piss off at me." Mord informed.
"Okay, so what is it you want from us?" Bell asked.
"Relax, we're not gonna gang up on ya. I was just hoping maybe I could interest you two in a little duel. One of you against me." Mord smirked.
"A duel, all this just to fight us?" Leina asked.
"Sure, the winner can ask whatever he wants from the loser. If I win, you have hand over everything in your possession." Mord said as he draws his sword.
"And if we win, you'll have to let our Goddess go." Bell said as he was about to grab his knives, but Leina step in front of him.
"I do not know why you would do such a dirty tactic just to get our attention, but I do know that there is no going back from this. I, Leina Vance, accept this duel and fight you in the name of my Familia!" Leina determined strongly as she points her sword at Mord.

Bell and Leina have been challenged by one of the older Adventurers believing they're being insulted of how those kids came down here despite still being kids. Mord is gonna try breaking their spirit, but he is gonna learn the hard way of how strong Leina really is.
