Chapter 06 – A Question of Trust

It was dark and cold outside, and everyone was already in their homes while the only ones out at this time was all of the couple. In the park that's near Guilmon's home a young couple were flirting with one another as they enjoyed some quality time with each other. However, what the two of them didn't realise that behind the two of them there's something or someone keeping an eye on them inside the bushes.

'Heh, suckers!' The strange being thought to himself in an excited glee on his face, and the only thing with is seen is his glowing crimson eyes.

That is when something or someone jumps in front of the two of them "Bada – Boom!" the strange being announces with a loud yell as he lunches a small fireball at them.

"Aghhhhhhhhh!" as the two couple jumps out of the park bench in fright and the two of them run away from the incoming fireball.

That just made the little being that looks like a imp roll around in the ground "Hahahah!" In laughter at the great prank he just did.

"WHO'S THERE!" A female voice shouted at him, and as he was startled the little imp rum towards the little shack at the top.

At the Shack

The little imp manages to get away from there, but that is when he feels someone or something inside the shack.

"Who's in there?" He asked the unknown that he felt inside the darkness.

"Step, step!" He hears the steps of someone getting closer to the bars 'Who's this person?' he thought to himself, while charging a attack just encase he needs to defence himself.

The only thing that he saw in the darkness was two Amber eyes looking at him "No one is here, it's just me Guilmon!" he heard a childlike voice say to him in a excited tone.

"Ok, Guilmon my name is Impmon and why don't you come out into the open?" The small imp digimon called Impmon asked the other digimon who's inside the shack.

"Hm!" Impmon could hear that Guilmon was thinking about it, and after a while "I can't because Takatomon said to me, not to show myself to the others?" Guilmon's voice was heard was again from the inside.

Impmon's (Pov)

'Who's this smock and why does he ack like a brat?' I thought to myself as I was trying to calm myself down from the overly excited digimon.

"Oh! Come on I'll bet that this Takatomon would like for you to make more friends" I asked the mysterious digimon in the shack.

"Are you sure!" I heard him say to me.

That just made me role my eyes at him, but I just stayed calm "Yes so show yourself to me" I said to him hopping that he would show himself, and after a couple of seconds I saw him coming out of the shadows.

I could see that he's a virus type but at the same time a dragon typed and from what I know I've never seen something like him in the Digital World 'He couldn't be a new type of digimon?' I thought to myself as I have a closer look at Guilmon.

"Bada boom!" I shouted as I blew up the heavy lock that's on the gate "Come on let's go have some fun!" I sad to the dinosaur digimon.

As I opened the gate and got out of Guilmon's was "Well then follow me" I said to him as I started making my ways down the stairs.

End Of (Pov)

The two digimon's were looking for something that they can use for entertainment and that is when the two of them found a couple sitting under the tree watching the moon.

"Ah, look there's a perfect target under that tree!" exclaimed the Imp digimon towards his partner in crime.

Guilmon looks towards the tree and that is when he sees the same view that Impmon was seeing "Oh, what are we going to do?" The dinosaur digimon said to his new friend. However that is when he saw his friend walking towards the two of them in a silent manner, without making a single sound and when he was near enough the purple digimon lifted his finger into the air "Bada boom!" He shouted as he threw a small fireball at the couple's shoulder.

"Ahhhh/Kyaaaaah!" the two of them shouted at the same time into the air in fright, but what surprised the small digimon is that the male was the one that screamed like a girl.

After the two of them calmed down from their mini panic attack, they turned around so that they could see the person responsible for the scare they received and the small burn on their shoulders, and that is when they saw a small chilled dressed up as a purple Imp with a red bandana. Although, a bit further from them they could see another boy that is dressed in what looks like a red dinosaur costume 'Huh!' the man thought to himself as he looked at the other boy.

"Kid what are you doing out this late and why are you frowning fire at some strangers?" The young woman questioned the little pyromaniac with a frown on her face.

But that is when Impmon just sends another fireball at the two of them as he grabs Guilmon and the two of them makes a brake for it, away from the two angry young adults but the two digimon didn't know is that those two would contact all of the near schools and warm them about two pranksters who are out late and playing with fire.

With Guilmon & Impmon

The two Digimons' made back to the shack on top of the hill in the back of the park, as the small purple digimon was laughing his gut at the prank the two of them jus did. However, Guilmon look at his new friend boredom as he makes his way back into 'Guilmon's Home' but that's when Impmon notices Guilmon entering his home.

"Oy, what are you doing?" Impmon asked Guilmon with a confused look on his face.

Impmon said to the retreating Guilmon as he saw the dinosaur digimon walking away from him, that's when he stopped and faced the imp digimon "I'm going back to my home as this is boring and there is nothing fun about this!" Guilmon said to the small digimon as he started to walk away again, leaving behind a annoyed Impmon behind as he carried on with his pranks.

Hypnos

In the Hypnos building Yamaki the others saw that there was some digimon activity in the park as all the alarms were going off throughout the whole office. Although, Yamaki was making sure that he had all the information appeared on the monitors including the wild one tracker was online and operational.

"Yamaki – Sachou!" one of the girls operating the monitors called her boss.

That made the shade – wearing blonde look at his subordinate in curiosity as he heard his name being called out, that made the men walk over to her "Did you find something out?" he asked her with a stern look on her his face which makes his sunglasses shine. However, that is when she put up one of the securities camaras of the park and that is when they will saw an image of a goggle – headed boy along with a red dinosaur standing right next to him.

"Sir, I would believe that this boy has some information" she said to her boss after putting up the image.

That made Yamaki look at the image on the screen, as they finally had led on their search for any wild – ones as he continued playing with his lighter as he looks to the two of them "I want all of the information that you can get about this boy on my desk in the morning" Yamaki ordered the two of them as he walks out of the room.

The two of them saw their boss leave the room with an angry look on their faces, as they knew that he was just going to relax in his office "If the two of you got time to scowl at me, that also means that you've got more time for your job!" they heard him order them from the corridor.

"Tch!" Both grunted at the same time as they went back to work.

Next Day

It was a new day, and everyone was making their way towards school or the jobs, that's when Gohan Rika meet up with Takato and the others. However, that's when Takato Henry saw that Rika was with their friend and started to shake like a leaf in fear at sight of the Digimon Queen "What…. i…s… .ng…h.r. e!" the two of them stuttered at the same time.

Rika just look at the two of the with a smirk on her face but that only frightens the two of them further. However, Gohan decided to spare the two of them as he walks in between the two of them "Ok, that's enough!" He ordered the two of them.

But that is when Rika gave her mate the deadliest glare that made Gohan tremble in fear "I'll stay quit dear!" The Saiyan said to her in a submissive voice as he ducks his head.

When Rika saw that Gohan was not going to get involve and was going stay silent, she went back to shouting at the two male tamers Infront of her as the others are watching them while laughing at the same time.

'Dam this is so embarrassing!' The Saiyan thought to himself as he just continues to watch his mate shout at his friends. After a couple of seconds Rika started to notice the looks that she is getting from all the other pedestrians walking along them.

That is when Gohan saw something that completely shock him ever since he arrived in this world, and that is when he saw Rika's small blush on her cheeks 'Ok that's the first time I saw her blush and I'm scared!' The Saiyan thought to himself in fear. Although, that is when Gohan saw Rika hiding her face in her hands with shamed look on her face. And that just made the other three tamers laugh at her but that just resulted on them getting whack over the head by her in anger as she looks at them with a strong glare that sends shivers down their spine.

"Are you three kids going behave?" Rika asked the three of them at the same time with her hands on her hips.

Gohan the other two just nodded at her, and that is just when she smiled at them, which makes her look so innocent but that simply scared all of them once again. As she started walking towards the school with a bright smile on her face that frightened everyone that knew who Rika was.

Gohan's Elementary School – Classroom

Gohan the others were in their desk listening to their teacher who was teaching them about maths their Timetables with some simple multiplications "Ok everyone I'm going to write some simple multiplications on the board, and I want all of you to try and solve them" their teacher Mss Nami said to all her students with a tired tone.

All of the children saw their teacher write down four diverse kinds of multiplications on the board that used Subtractions, Additions, Divisions and Multiples. However, when Takato and the others saw them, they started to get a huge migraine 'Man I can't believe on how hard these questions are?' The Hazard Tamer thought to himself in sadness.

Takato's (Pov)

I just look like hell when I saw those questions that Mss Nami wrote down on the board, I look to all my friends in the room to see if they were having the same problem but from what I can see Henry looks like he's nearly finished as for Gohan I saw that he is already handing his answers to the teachers.

'Tch, Dam geniuses!' I thought to myself in anger when I looked at the two of them, but that is when I had to get back to work. However, that is when I saw him turn towards me with a serious look on his face 'Did Gohan – San read my own thought?' I thought to myself in fear as I quickly face the front of the class.

I saw Mss Nami hand out some paper to everyone in the class and when I received the paper, I saw that it was a Timetable sheet "Ok everyone I would for everyone to use this table to learn their multiplications when they have some free time" She ordered all of us while I groaned at the idea of learning on the hours that I'm not in school.

After me and others finished with the lesson I headed towards my friends, so that we can have lunch together but that is when I saw Gohan leaving the room. However, kazu the others were still packing up their equipment.

"Hey! you two want to eat lunch with us?" I asked my two friends at the same time.

But that is when I realized that they were the closest near Gohan and could have known where he was going "Um, guys do you two now were Gohan went?" I asked them.

Kazu & Kenta look at each other with a strange look then they turned towards me "Yeah he said that he was going to get Rika, so that she can eat with us" Kazu told me with a shrugged of his shoulders as I saw Kenta nodding his head in the back.

"Groan!" I inwardly groan at having that temperamental Digimon Queen eating with us at lunch.

And that is when I saw Gohan, Henry Rika entering the classroom together as they were talking about the pranks in the park in the night.

"Hey guys! And is Rika going to join us?" I said to them with a hopeful look on my face.

I did not get any words from rika, instead it was Gohan that answered for the two of them "Yea, we'll be eating together because there's something we need to discuss about!" I said to them with a smile on my face, but I saw as he quickly changes it to a stern face that surprises me on how quickly he changes his face.

I then headed towards the roof with the others following right behind me.

End Of (Pov)

When Gohan the others reached the roof as we sat in a circle with their lunches in – front of each of them, while Rika and Gohan Sat next to one another since the Saiyan made the lunch with Rika and it was big enough for the two of them to share.

Rika had a pleased look on her face as she looks at the lunch box that she made with her mate, and that is when she notices the shocked outlooks on the faces of the others at the size of our lunch box "What?" Rika demanded from them with frown on her face.

They said nothing to her but just turned around, so that they would not have to look at the Digimon's Queens face and started to eat the lunch. However, that's when Henry grabs everyone's attention as he started to ask everyone on what they are going to do about the pranking that is happening in the park. That made Gohan and the others stop on what they are doing "How about we separate into groups and look for any place that a Digimon with a child – like body would've been able to hide from the park visitors!" The Saiyan said to everyone in the roof.

Everyone was thinking about the idea that their friend just given them, there was some of them that did not like listening to the Saiyan or thought that it was a promising idea and there was one who was too shy to share his own idea to the group.

Henry, Rika & Takato liked the Saiyan's idea, but Kazu and Kenta didn't like that someone instead of the two of them were in charge 'Maybe we can get Jeri into our side and them take them all of them from the inside?' the two of them thought at the same time without realising Gohan's glare which is directed in their direction.

'I've got to make sure to watch those two!' Gohan looks at Takato's two friends with a wary look on his face.

Rika and Henry were the only one that notices the different look on the Saiyan's look as they both wonder on what is going through his head, but that is when they face the same direction which Gohan is looking and that is when they see Kazu Kenta and notices the dark smiles on their faces.

"Ring! Ring! Ring!" they heard the notification for the end of lunch.

That made Gohan the others pack up their lunches so that they can go back to the classroom to finish the rest of the day.

After School

Gohan and the others were leaving the school grounds as they all made their way towards the park to pick up Guilmon Dorumon from home and the shack in the park. As they were making way Gohan & Rika notices that Kazu and Kenta disappeared quickly from their sight, and that worried them because they did not know what those were up to right know. However, Gohan told Rika that he already knows were the two of them are since the Saiyan can feel everyone's internal energy in the whole town.

That's when all of them saw the park entrance as they were getting closer 'There's the entrance, but we still need to get Dorumon and Renamon' the Saiyan thought to himself as looks at his mate "Rika how about I get both Renamon & Dorumon from our home" Gohan asked the red – headed girl walking next to him.

The Digimon queen nodded to her mate as she saw Gohan Disappear in pure speed, as for Takato and the others they just saw their friend fade out of existence "Huh!" the two tamers muttered at the same time as the wipe the drowsiness from their eyes.

Henry walks closer to the female Tamer "Um, Rika where's Gohan?" The green haired Tamer asked her after calming himself down and hopping that she's not angry.

Rika looks at the green Tamer with an eyebrow raised into the air, but instead of saying anything to him she just decides to ignore him completely as she walks faster to get away from the boy.

"Now that's just rude!" Terriermon mutters out loudly in an angry huff.

What the bunny digimon did not know is that everyone heard him, but that is when he is bob at the top of the bunny digimon head "Terriermon that's rude!" the Tamer scolded his partner with a stern look on his face.

Park - Guilmon's Shed

Rika, Henry and the other manages to arrive at the shed in record timing know she sat down hopping that Gohan gets here fast enough, and that is when they all started to feel something or someone past them in incredible speed. When the Tamers turned around, they see gohan along with his partner Rika's.

"That was fast..." Rika said towards the Saiyan.

Gohan just smiled at her as he also told her that her mother was back and Rika was glad that she has some warning, but that is when they see Takato, Jeri, Kazu Kenta walking the stair talking something between the four of them.

Takato looks at the other three tamers "Um, sorry we're late guys, we kind of got side-track" the tamer of Hazzard apologised to his friends.

Rika Henry looked at him in suspicion, while Gohan decided to ignore him as he started to explain to everyone his idea on locating the wild digimon that is pranking everyone in the park. After that, the Saiyan started to announce the groups for everyone.

"Ok, everyone instead of a group of twos we'll be placed into a group of three!" Gohan told all his friends.

Gohan makes sure that he looks at everyone in his group of friends, so that he could make the correct decision on who to put together "Ok I'll announce the teams, so please no interruptions until the end!" Gohan said to all of them with a serious look on his face that frightened some of them.

"Ok the first group will be: Me, Rika Nonaka & Juri" Gohan looks at them as he announces the first group.

Gohan could see the sad look on Takato's & Henry's faces when the two of the heard on who is in the first group.

"Guys don't worry there's a reason why I am doing, and that is because I want someone to be with the people that hasn't got a digimon partner" The Saiyan told the two of them everything about as he is worried about their safety.

Those words made the two of them smile because he is thinking about the safety for the others in the group, as they calmed down the tamers calmed themselves down as they nodded to the Saiyan. And that is when he continued with the explanation.

"Know that you've understood I'll continue with the Groups reveal and for the second group it's going to be: Takato, Henry, Kazu & Kenta" when the two groups were announced Rika Gohan saw that they were already splitting into their groups.

The two groups went their separate ways so that they can find the wild digimon that is pranking everyone in the park, when all of them were about to give up until they found a purple childlike digimon on the top of the trees with a smirk on his face.

"Excuse me are you the one that's pranking everyone in the park?" The Saiyan asked the Purple digimon.

That just made the wild digimon's smirk widen as heard the question and after a few seconds "Me! I'm Impmon and I was having fun with these humans here" Impmon told the children as he was giggling madly at the pranks he has done.

Gohan looks at the digimon with a calculative look on his face and after a couple of seconds he finally understands on why he is doing this.

"Impmon, are you having problems with your Tamer do you want some help?" Gohan asked Impmon and that made the digimon shocked that someone managed to figure out everything with just one look but that is when he frowned at the Saiyan when he was offered some help.

"You human why do you think that you'll be able to help me" Impmon snarled at the tow humans under him.

That is when Rika decided to pull out her D – Ark out of her back pocket, so that she can see the Impmon's information, and that is when all the digimon's data appeared on top of her Digivice.

Digi – Analyser

Impmon: Is a troublemaking Digimon who spends most of his time picking on humans. He harasses the Tamers and digimon. Impmon seems to dislike humans, saying that "No – respecting digimon" would ally themselves to one./p

. Reverse Round Kick – An upside – down Roundhouse Kick in mid-air.

Gohan Rika were surprised on the number of attacks that the small digimon had, and before they can help Impmon with his problem but that is when all of them saw a Digital – Field started to appear out of nowhere.

'Great a Wild – One is coming through' The young couple thought at the same time when they saw the spreading fog.

The two Tamers cursed to themselves when they saw that they would have stop this digimon's love for destruction, but that is when they were overtaken by Takato Guilmon who had a smile on their faces 'Dam they still think that all of this is still a game' the two of them thought in anger as they chased after the Google headed duo.

Edge Of the Park

That is, they managed to see Takato & Guilmon looking above them with a strong glare on their faces, and that is when I realised that the Digimon is leaning high up the building.

"Takato where's the wild digimon?" Rika shouted at the Hazard Tamer.

The young Tamer did not say anything towards the Digimon Queen as he just pointed towards the top of the building, and that is when the two of them saw a devil – bird like digimon looking at them with all his crimson eyes.

Gohan. Rika & Henry are surprised on the Digimon's size but that is when they see Takato brining up his D – Ark out in the open hopping to get some information on the new digimon, after a couple seconds on Takato pointing his Digivice towards the digimon his info appeared.

Digi – Analyser

Devidramon: Is a dark digimon. It is known and fared as the 'Many – eyed demon.' As a demon beast that was summoned from the Dark Area by the messenger of darkness, Devimon, there are no other digimon as evil as it is. Although it is a Dramon – species digimon, its limbs are unusually developed, so it cuts the opponents to pieces with its elongated arms, it flies about the darkness with its sturdy legs and wings. Its personality is epitomes of wickedness, and it is unmoved by a spirit of compassion. If it glares at them with its four eyes burning in deep crimson, the opponent becomes unable to move, and it will chop up their unarresting body. Also, the tip of its tail can open and take the shape of a claw, which can skewer the opponent. This digimon was produced by the evil feelings of hackers who were abusing the computer network for their own selfish desires.

3. Type: Evil Dragon, Dark Dragon.

4. Attribute: Virus.

5. Family: Unknown, Nightmare Soldiers.

Attacks

. Crimson Claw (Crimson Nail) – Chops up the opponent with the gigantic claws and beats them all bloody.

. Red Eyes (Red Eye) – Paralyses enemies with its crimson evil eyes, making them vulnerable to attacks.

. Demonic Gale – Flies high and fast through the sky, slicing the air and creating shockwave that disrupts everything beneath.

. Touch Of Evil (Death Claw) – Slashes enemies with the power of darkness.

Takato & the other tamers were looking at the huge devil like digimon that is hanging on the side of the building, as he gives the children the silent treatment.

In the back a couple of trees away from all of them, Impmon watching hopping to see the battle between the Tamers Devidramon but that is when he notices that Guilmon is not near the others and that is when he remembered the small conversation that the two of them had a couple of minutes ago.

Impmon's & Guilmon's Flashback

In Guilmon's shed there were two Digimon that was having a heated discussion on how digimon do not need any Tamers.

"Oy, dinosaur breath are you even listening to me?" The Imp – like digimon demanded from the red – dino that is trying to sleep.

"Snore, snore!" Impmon could hear Guilmon's snore as he goes back to sleep.

That just made Impmon mad that Rookie Digimon with the mentality of a baby had ignored him "OY, WAKE UP WHEN SOMEONE'S TALKING TO YOU!" he shouted at the red – reptile digimon with a comical look on his face.

That made Guilmon wake in fright from Impmon's loud yelling "Impmon why did you just yell at me?" Guilmon whined at the other digimon.

After Guilmon was awake that's when Impmon started to say on how digimon did not need Human partners to get stronger, but Guilmon just said that Takato was his best friend.

"Tsch!" Impmon grunted in anger as he walks away from there while saying to think on his words a bit longer.

Guilmon just watches as Impmon walks away, as the small digimon disappears into the darkness.

Back To the Present

Impmon did not know that he just reviled the truth on how he was blaming Guilmon for his pranks in the last couple of days, what he did not know is that Terriermon behind him hanging on a branch with his ear listening to Impmon's confession.

That is when he saw that Guilmon was already challenging the Devidramon to a battle all on his own, but that is when he sees Takato run towards his partner in a hurry "GUILMON!" He heard Takato's shout all the way from the trees.

Terriermon took this chance to go and explain the truth to Takato so that this little fight stops 'Oh, I've better tell Takato & Henry on what I've just heard' the bunny digimon thought to himself as he climb down the tree.

"TAKATO, HENRY there's something I have to tell you!" the bunny digimon shouted at his Tamer friends with a huge smile on his little face. And that is when the two Tamers were told what Terriermon just heard from Impmon, when Takato heard this, it started to make him guilty for blaming his best friend without any proof at all.

Henry & his digimon partner saw the google – headed boy run towards the battle zone with a serious and worried look on his face 'Guilmon!' he thought to himself as he was getting closer to the two digimon.

"GUILMON I'M SORRY!" The Google – headed Tamer cried out to his partner.

The reptile digimon looks at his best friend with a happy look on his face as he lets a smile when he heard those words "Takatomon! Do you believe me & forgive me?" The digimon whispered into the shadowed night.

That is when Takato's Digivice started to glow from his determination and bond with his partner, the light alerted Rika, Gohan Henry as they knew on what is happening right know.

"DIGIVOLUTION!" A female voice was heard from the Digivice.

That is when Guilmon started shine "Guilmon digivolve to…!" As he announces to the entire world.

Digivolution Sequence

Who you want to become, what you see in your dreams You cannot ask anyone for help. (Naritai jibun yume ni miru no wa Dare ni mo tanomenai sa).

It Showed Takato's Digivice realising some red DNA like substance in an incredible speed, as it was heading towards the Reptile – digimon.

Try, sometimes there's kindness we bare our fangs at When there is something we want to protect. (Try kiba wo muita Yasuhisa mo arun da Mamoritai mono no mae de wa).

After that Guilmon gets surrounded by what looks like pieces of a red digital – egg and closes with him inside.

That is when Guilmon lets out a primal roar as his scaly skin started peel itself of his digital reptilian body, only showing the Digimon's body in a Data line.

Growlmon: Is a dark dragon digimon. It is called the 'Deep – Crimson Demon Dragon'. The childishness it had when it was Guilmon has vanished, and it Digivolved into a wilder, more brutal digimon. Also, although it is a virus digimon. It may battle for Justise depending on how it was raised by its partner, because it will be faithfully obedient. Growlmon's roar has the power to shake the earth, and before battle, it raises its voice to an offensive roar to intimidate the opponents.

. Dragon Slash (Plasma Blade) – Develops plasma along the blade on its elbow, then it strikes the opponent.

. Pyro Blaster (Fire Blaster) – Breaths fire continuously.

. Dino Kick – Quickly jumps at the enemy and kicks them with both feet.

. Howling – Makes the enemy cower with a fierce howl.

Takato could not believe the new look that his partner Digivolved into, and the ferocity that shows in his slitted eyes on his reptilian face.

"Um, Guilmon is that you?" Takato asked his partner.

The huge red Dark Dragon digimon looks at the boy's eyes, and that made the Tamer whimper in fear but that is when Takato saw the newly evolved Growlmon lunch a huge Pyro Blaster at the flying Devidramon.

The dark digimon's body started to break up into red data as it disappears through walls between the two worlds. And that is when Growlmon started roaring into the shadowy night, scaring everyone from the ferocity in his voice.

"Growllllll!" The Dark Dragon digimon growled out like hunters stalking its prey.

That made takato backed up from his partner in fear when he saw the strange look on his partner's face "Guilmon please it's me!" the Tamer stuttered out in fear as he walks away from the angry digimon.

Takato closes his eyes as he waited for the pain, but after a couple of seconds he doesn't feel anything, and that's when the boy opens his eyes only to see Growlmon's crestfallen face Infront of him.

"Please don't fear Growlmon!" The large digimon cried out to his Tamer.

Takato opens his eyes in shock as he saw a bit of his partner's innocent personality inside Growlmon "Do you know who I am Growlmon, is that still you in there?" Asked his partner digimon with a hopeful look on his face.

Growlmon brought his snout closer to him ask he told Takato "Was Growlmon scary?" and that's when a crying Takato hugs his partner, as he said that he was only a little bit afraid of him, the two of them were under the watchful eyes of the others.

Gohan & Rika saw the determination and friendship Takato have for his partner, also on how he's able to at meet his wrongs and apologies.
