I had just finished meeting with my writing team. When i got a call from my mom. The phone nearly falling from my hands.
The announcement from my mom that Brooke had the babies.
I couldn't think or focus about anything else.
I had been burying myself. Distracting. With work.
I called my receptionist from the car. Telling her to clear my schedule until further notice.
I made my way to the hospital. My mom gave the room number.
But i found myself lingering in the hallway. Unable to go through the door.
Karen had left wanting to give Brooke and hopefully Lucas time together with the babies.
She knew they were having problems but didn't know exact details.
Brooke carefully placed down their son. After feeding him.
Sloane soon calmed down once she was in her mother's arms.
"Sloane Scott. My baby girl."
"Just wait until he sees you and you're brother. He'll change his mind. I hope so."
"Momma's here. Now and always. No matter what." Brooke stated matter of fact.
Her gaze went from Sloane to her son. She was distracted
She hadn't heard the hospital door open and shut.
"Sorry i'm late." Lucas said.
