Chapter 20- Christmas at The Burrow

I awoke to a banging on my bedroom door. "Oi mate, drop his cock and grab your socks!" I heard Ron call out behind the door. "Everyone's waiting for us to open presents!"

I looked over at the clock beside me grabbing my glasses so I could actually make it out. "It's 3am" I yawned in reply

"It's 11am back at the house" Ron barked, "Now get a bloody move on."

"Ok, I'll be down in a minute." I said sleepily, I hadn't gotten much sleep last night because of more vampire hunting me down nightmares. I had one before Ron woke me up about being chased in a clearing in the woods.

I slowly sat up in bed and downed my potions. "Another nightmare?" Edward asked softly beside me.

"Yeah" I yawned shaking Henry lightly, "Time to wake up little guy." He made what I can only assume to be a 'five more minutes dad' sound. "You get to make some new friends today." He was awake in a hurry then at the prospect of making new friends.

Edward and I quickly showered and got dressed, I just wished we had a little more time to keep our eyes on the prize. I had to push Edward's hands off of me reminding him that Ron just might come in and hex us to keep us on time. He looked like I had kicked his dog or something, I felt like I was going to go crazy and think about wanting him all through dinner.

I stepped out of the fireplace with ease carrying Henry in my arms, but Edward on the other hand tumbled out in a heap on the floor crashing into the kitchen table. "Yeah that was my reaction my first time taking the floo." I chuckled as he stood brushing the soot from his sweater and slacks. "Harry, so good to see you dear." Molly said hugging me, "And who is this little fellow?"

"His name is Henry" I said, "He's an alien that I picked up on one of my adventures with The Professor. Henry this is Molly Weasley, Ron's mother." Henry stuck out his little hand for Molly to shake, but she just pulled him into one of her warm hugs. Once she finished hugging the daylights out of Henry I sat him on the floor and introduced her to Edward. "This is Edward Cullen, my mate."

"It's nice to meet you Mrs. Weasley." He said holding out his hand, but Molly just pulled him into one of her usual hugs.

"Call me Molly please" She said letting him go and looking at him proper, "Harry has told me a little about you, and I look forward to getting to know more about the man that has stolen his heart. The others are in the living room dears, come on, let's open presents."

I was quickly swarmed with hugs and handshakes from everyone, and so were Edward and Henry. Sirius walked in behind us and joined in the greetings. I unshrunk the presents in my pocket placing them under the tree. Molly handed out the trademark sweaters she makes every year, she even made one for Edward. She promised to make and send one soon for Henry.

I was happy to see Draco here with Ginny, and introduced Edward to him making him smile. I could tell that he was happy for me, and I was happy for him too.

"So what's it like going to school with Muggles?" Arthur asked enthusiastically when we were all seated around the kitchen table for lunch. Molly had even thought to provide a warmed bowel of the blood for Edward from the Christmas goose.

"Well Algebra is horrible reminding me of why I decided not taking Arithmancy was a bad idea. Although the main American sport of football is an interesting thing to watch, although it can get quite violent." I explaned happily

"Isn't that the sport muggles play where you kick a checkered ball around trying to kick it into goals at the either end of the field?" Charlie asked curiously

"They call that sport soccer" I explained, "American football involves throwing a diamond shaped ball to each other to a player called a running back so they can run it across the field to the goal box. It's called scoring a touchdown, but where the crazy part comes in is that the players on the opposing team are all trying to tackle the running back to the ground to stop him from reaching his destination."

"At least there are no bludgers zooming around trying to knock them to the ground." Ron laughed

"What's a bludger?" Edward asked curiously

Ron gave a brief explaination of Quiddich, the different balls, and the positions on the team. "Ginny has some exciting news concerning Quiddich." Draco said proudly

"Oh and what is that?" Molly asked curiously

"The Holly Harpies accepted me onto the team for the next season." Ginny beamed proudly, "I start training over Easter break and on weekends until after I finish my N.E.W.T.'s. Although I'm more excited about what happened off the field before I gained my spot on the team." She held up her left hand proudly displaying the silver engagement ring with a large emerald set in it. "Draco proposed and I said yes!"

"Oh that's so wonderful dear" Molly said happily, "Congratulations dear, to both of you."

I couldn't be happier for Draco and Ginny, it felt so good knowing that he had found someone that made him as happy as I did. "Draco dear, what are your plans after graduation?" Molly asked, "Quiddich yourself."

"Oh Merlin no" Draco blushed finishing a bite of mashed potatoes, "Ginny will be having all of the glory to herself. I'm training under Madame Pomfrey as an intern to pursue a career as a healer. I want to help people, but I'm scared that I won't be able to find work though. Not many people want to hire a former Death Eater." His face instantly became sad at the last part. He had a look of deep shame causing Ginny to squeeze his hand resting on the table in comfort.

"I should think not." Percy spoke up from the end of the table, "But it shouldn't come as too big of a surprise considering what you are. And on that same topic why is everyone so happy to have a Death Eater in the family?"

"He's changed" Ginny said through clenched teeth, "And besides, he only did what he did so You Know Who wouldn't torture his mother to death to get back at his father for failing to get the prophecy in the Department of Mysteries. But then again you turned your back on this family that year to stick your nose up the ministry's arse just to get ahead with your precious career."

"Or so he claims" Percy huffed, "And another thing, is it just me or has no one else realized what a risk having such a dark creature at our Christmas dinner is? I mean if Harry wants to go around doing what he does hiding from us all in America crying his eyes out about how unfair his life is being the chosen boy then I say let him, but that doesn't give him the right to expose us all to danger."

"You don't know the first thing about Edward so shut up you pompous prick." I said angrily causing everyone to put all eyes on me.

"Harry it's ok." Edward said softly squeezing my hand under the table

"No it's not" I spat turning back to face Percy, "In fact Percy all great and mighty Edward doesn't feed on human blood, he hasn't since the early 1930's. None of his family do as a matter of fact. In fact you know nothing about him, or Draco. Draco is a wonderfully kind, loving, and compassionate person who got dealt a shitty hand by life. In fact he broke things off with me so he wouldn't be pushed to spy on my for Voldemort. You turned your back on your family parroting the bullshit that Fudge spouted vilify Sirius as who was behind things just to advance your precious career."

"Your one to talk running away from everything instead of manning up and facing your problems." He said

"Fuck you, you pompous piece of shit!" I screamed making everyone's mouth fall open and their eyes bug out of their sockets. "You had it easy, I had to do all of the hard stuff. Sure I had help from my friends, but I still spent my entire life under the shadow of having to face Voldemort. While you were kissing ass at the ministry I was bullied and abused by everyone." I held up my right hand, "Your precious undersecretary made me carve this shit into my hand just for speaking the truth that you ignored. I faced Voldemort in a duel after watching Sirius nearly get killed from being thrown into the veil between life and death. I had my boyfriend break up with me so he could focus on saving his mother from Voldemort over something that his father did to disappoint Voldemort. I spent all of my sixth year working with Dumbledore trying to find all of Voldemort's horcruxes, and even had to watch Snape kill him right in front of me. I spent all of what would've been my seventh year at Hogwarts running around in the woods with Ron and Hermione trying desparately to find the remaining horcruxes and destroy them. I even fucking died in the forest facing Voldemort. I had to die because he had accidentally turned me into a horcrux when he killed my parents in front of me when I was one year old. I spent my entire childhood being beaten, starved, and locked in a cupboard under the stairs because of that pieces of garbage. I could've taken the easy way out and just let myself die so I could join my parents in death, but no I had to come back. I had to be the one to do the hard thing and face him in a fucking duel to the death. I killed him myself to save everyone in the entire world. I was plagued by so many nightmares from the whole thing that I decided to cut my fucking wrists in the shower just so I could have some fucking peace, but no I had been marked by death and by fate to be unable to die so all I did was cause Sirius to have a fucking breakdown and sit at my bedside for a whole week begging me to wake up. He finally decided that I needed to leave everyone of you guys behind and start fresh just for my own sanity. I never wanted to be the world's savior. I just wanted to be a normal wizard boy that has fun with his friends and plays Quiddich, but no I got dealt a fucked up hand by fate and had to be the wizarding fucking messiah. So you know what Percy, you can go fuck yourself!"

I stood up from the table shoving back so hard that my chair clattered to the floor with a loud crash, but I didn't care. I stormed out of the house slamming the door closed and running down the porch and into the cold December air. I heard the door slam behind me and turned to see Ginny and Draco leaving behind me. They gave me a quick hug each and disapparated leaving me alone sitting on the porch. After I don't know how long I heard the door open, shut, and then a crack as Percy disapparated.

I felt someone sit down next to me and pull my into a hug as the door shut behind me. "Come on mate let's get you back inside where it's warm." Ron said, I was cold and shivering but didn't want to go inside. "Mum went bloody mental after you, Ginny, and Draco stormed out. She screamed and raged at Percy for breaking this family apart. Dad just told him to leave before he throws him out on his arse. Mum said that you, Draco, and Edward are a part of this family now and that if Percy doesn't want to accept it then he can just stay away until he gives all of you an apology."

"Really?" I asked in shock

"Yeah really mate" Ron said softly, "George even went mental on him about how Fred was gone and how he's tired of losing family. I think it's safe to say that everyone is just done with his pompous ass."

I let Ron help me up off of the porch and into the house. When I sat back down at the table it was like nothing had happened and Edward got George talking about all of the new products at the store saying how Emmet would love to come and see it sometime. George was still pretty shaken though, losing Fred left a hole in him that everyone saw. Edward was also quite the conversation topic telling funny stories about his family to everyone's delight and agreement that they had to meet him, especially after he told them how Carlisle attended Hogwarts 300 years ago. "My father says that Professor Binns was just as boring in life as how Harry and Sirius describe him in death." He said causing everyone to laugh.

All in all it was a good happy Christmas, minus Percy. Sirius decided to stay a bit longer and I dragged Edward and Henry through the floo to his house just in time for Alice to start handing out presents. Henry had so much fun at The Burrow that I had a feeling I would have to take him back to see everyone, especially George since he was the most taken with him. I don't know if I'm ready to go back again so soon, but I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
