I walk over and grab the pregnancy test.

"What does it say?" Eve asks.

I take in a deep breath as I look at the results. "It's positive. I'm pregnant."

"I knew it!" Chelle comments.

"What now?" Ryse asks.

"Well, we will be keeping this between us four for now. You can tell your significant others after I tell Randy. Then, I'll need to figure out what I'm going to do about work."

"Are you going to tell your relatives?" Eve asks.

"I'll tell Colby tomorrow probably. I'm sure I'll tell Kenny if I see him tomorrow. As for Tyler, I don't want to talk to him right now, so I won't tell him yet."

"What about the McMahons?" Chelle asks.

"I'm not going to tell Vince yet because he'll make a huge deal out of it, and I don't want that yet."

"How are you going to get off of TV then?"

"I'll probably just tell Stephanie and Paul. Either of them should be able to help me with that. Before I even worry about that, I need to figure out what I'm going to say to Randy."

"You might want to start with I'm pregnant." Eve comments.

"Obviously, I just don't know when the right moment will come. And what if he freaks out? He might freak out. I was there the last time he found out he was having a kid. He freaked out."

Chelle pulls me into a hug. "It'll be alright, sweetie. Randy cares about you so much. I'm sure he'll be happy. He wanted a kid anyway."

My eyes start to water. "What if he changed his mind?"

Ryse rubs my back. "It's Randy. I doubt that. We all know he's wanted a future with you for a long time. I'm sure he still wants kids to be included in that."

"I hope so. I need to stop crying."

Eve also rubs my back. "It'll be alright."

I nod as I get out of Chelle's hug. "Thanks. I need to calm down and head back out there before Randy freaks out."

"Yeah, that's not a bad idea at all." Chelle comments. "Randy may freak out if you aren't out there soon."

I laugh as I stick the pregnancy test in my purse. "You're probably right. He does worry about me a lot. Let's head back out there."

"Okay. By the way, I do have some pregnancy books if you'd want them. It's not like I need them anymore."

I smile. "That'd be a huge help. Thank you."

"Absolutely. Also, let me be the first to congratulate you on the baby."

"Yeah, congratulations!" Ryse says.

"I'm so happy for you!" Eve adds.

I smile. "Thanks, guys. I don't know what'd I do without you three."

Eve hugs me. "You will never have to worry about that."

Ryse joins the hug. "Exactly, we'll always be here for you."

Chelle also joins the hug. "That's what best friends are for."

"There they are!" Ted exclaims as we all return to the table. "There's been a lack of women here."

I laugh as the four of us girls sit back down. "Nice to see you too, Ted."

Randy pulls me close. "I've missed you too. Thought you'd gotten bored and needed time away from me."

"I wasn't bored, babe. Just needed to use the restroom."

"Well, that's good. I ordered some mozzarella sticks because I know you love mozzarella sticks."

"Thanks so much. I do love mozzarella sticks."

"Lauren ran her mouth, and I jumped her ass." Randy whispered in my ear. "Tyler and Lauren are still here, but they're at a different table and probably pissed off at me."

"Eve and Ryse told me about that." I whisper back. "Thank you."

"Anytime, beautiful. Are you doing alright?"

"Yeah, I'm just tired. I want to stay though."

"Okay. You look so amazing."

"You aren't too bad yourself." I say before biting into a mozzarella stick. "So what were we talking about?"

"Colby, Roman, and Dean were telling us all how they met each other in FCW before it became NXT." John answers.

"Well that sounds like an interesting conversation." I look at Colby, Roman, and Dean. "By the way, I do have questions about the manner of which you three debuted, but I'm not going to ask about it right now. However, I will be looking after my baby brother since he is on the main roster now, and since you two are his best friends and partners, I'm just going to let you know that applies to you two as well now."

Dean nods. "Okay."

Roman smiles. "Thank you, Marissa. We really appreciate it."

"I will also be doing the same." Randy comments. "Because Rissa will probably kick my ass if I don't."

Everyone at the table laughs.

"Anyway," Randy looks at me. "Can I have a dance?"

I smile at Randy. "You want to dance?"

"Yeah, I want to dance, only if you're joining me."

"Make it a slow dance, and I'll agree."

Randy grabs my hands. "Anything that you want."

"Well damn." Chelle comments. "You can't say no to that."

I smile. "I can't. Let's go dance, Randy."

Randy grabs me as we stand up. "I'll go request a slower song."

The song changes before Randy can go make a request, to not just any slower song, but the exact song we danced to at our wedding.

I lean on Randy. "You don't need to. This one is perfect."

Randy takes me out to dance with him. "I wanted to talk to you."

I dance slowly with Randy and lay my head on his chest. "What's up?"

"I'm a bit concerned about you. You were in the bathroom for quite some time."

"I was a bit nauseous and got caught up talking with the girls."

"I figured you'd want to be back at the hotel."

"I'm fine. Plus, I'm not ruining your chances of having a good night, despite the fact that I'd love to be in bed right now."

"The only reason I agreed to this is because you were set on it. It sucks because you've spent more time in the bathroom than out here. If you need to go back to the hotel, just tell me. I'm only concerned about spending time with you."

"I understand, but I think we should stay." I reply as the song ends. "I enjoy dancing with you, but I do think I need a little bit of fresh air. I'm going to head outside for a few, but when I come back inside, I'll give you another dance."

Randy gives me a confused look. "Alrighty then."

"I love you." I kiss Randy's cheek before heading outside.

The second I head outside, I get really cold. I sat on a bench and put my head in my hands. I sense someone standing behind me. I look behind me to see Randy.

"You're going to freeze out here without your coat. What kind of a husband would I be if I let you do that?" Randy asks before helping me put my coat on.

I smile at him. "Thank you."

"Can I sit with you, or do you want to be alone?"

"You can sit. I don't mind."

Randy sat down next to me. "I would hope not."

"I hope you know I'm not trying to blow you off or anything. I literally threw up as soon as I made it to the bathroom."

"You should've said something. I would've gotten you back to the hotel."

"I didn't want to go back to the hotel."

"You might need to though, Rissa, if you're not feeling well."

"I'm fine, Randy. I swear."

"Why'd you need fresh air?"

"Because the smell of alcohol started to hit me really hard and I thought I was going to gag."

"I think we need to head back to the hotel."

"I don't want to cut this night short for you."

"I don't have any issue with that. I just want you to be okay."

"I am okay."

"You've thrown up. You had to come out here because of the alcohol smell. I know you're tired. I don't think we should be here much longer."

"Another couple needs to ride back with us to the hotel though."

"How about as soon as someone else wants to go to the hotel, we can take them with us and leave?"

"I can agree to that."

"Thank you, Marissa. Don't sacrifice your well-being for me to have a good time."

"Okay, let's head back inside."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm certain, Randy."

"Okay."

Randy grabs my hand and takes me back inside to our table.

John stands up. "I think it's about time for Chelle and I to get back to the hotel. Who wants to ride back with us?"

I look at John. "We can."

Chelle glances at me. "Didn't you guys rent the other car though?"

Randy passes the keys for the rental car to Ted. "Problem solved. Ryse, Ted, Eve, and Cody can ride back together. Ted, get those keys back to me in the morning."

Ted nods. "I will, Randy."

"Thank you. Let's head out."

John was driving the four of us back to the hotel, but somehow, we had gotten stuck in a traffic jam. I had been ready to fall asleep, but I knew I needed to stay awake until we got back to the hotel and then some to tell Randy.

"Are you dozing off?" Randy whispers.

I smile at him. "A little bit."

"I'm sure we'll be at the hotel soon. After that, you can sleep all you want."

"I don't know, Randy. This traffic jam seems pretty bad."

"Yeah, we'll get to the hotel eventually though. At least we're together."

"Yeah, we're together."

"You two better not start making out in the back of the car there." John comments.

Randy rolls his eyes. "We're not, John."

"Good."

"I'm sorry that your brother was such a pain in the ass tonight." Randy comments to me.

I roll my eyes. "It hasn't been just tonight, Randy. We both know that. At least it's not the brother who I'll be seeing all the time at work now."

"That's true. I may not talk to Tyler for a while."

"You and me both."

"Anyway, what'd you think about Roman and Dean? I think they left a good impression on me."

"I wouldn't be looking out for them like I am my brother if I didn't like them."

"Fair enough. They all three look like they have a lot of potential."

"I'm certain they all have a ton of potential."

"Me too." John adds. "Despite the fact that they did kinda cost me my match."

"That's business, John." Randy comments.

"The next time you complain when I kick your ass, Randy, that's exactly what I'm going to say to you."

"Whatever, Cena. How much longer is this going to take?"

"However long it takes."

"We're gonna be here all night." Chelle comments.

"Just imagine how it's gonna be for the others." I add.

"Yeah, that's gonna suck."

"When did we become the ones to go home early?" John asks.

"Because we were doing that kind of stuff eight years ago."

"And now we're stuck in traffic."

Randy sighed. "And I can't make out with Rissa at all."

"Yeah, that's not even the worst thing we could do back here." I mutter.

"Don't you two even think about it." John glances at us.

"Keep your eyes on the road, Cena."

"Is there any way you could speed up and drive around this?" Chelle asks.

"Babe, there is no way to do that without risking causing a car accident. I'm not putting the four lives in this car at stake."

"Five lives actually." I comment.

Everyone goes silent. Chelle and I exchange a look. I can't bring myself to glance at Randy. I hadn't meant to say that out loud.

"Babe, you did great in your match tonight." Chelle says to John. "Do you think you could get another opportunity since Colby, Roman, and Dean got involved?"

I have never been more grateful for Michelle in my life.

We finally arrived at the hotel. John parks the car and unlocks it for us all to go out. We all exit the car, and John locks the door.

John hands Chelle his room key. "You two go ahead and head to our rooms. I'd like to talk to Randy about guy stuff for a few."

"Uh…okay." Chelle says as she takes the key from John.

"You have ours, right?" Randy asks.

"Yeah." I nod. "Is everything alright?"

"Everything is fine. We're just gonna talk for a few, and I'll probably smoke a cigarette. We'll be up soon. I love you."

"I love you too, Randy."

Chelle grabs my arm. "Let's head inside, Rissa."

Chelle and I walk inside the hotel and get on the elevator to go up to our floor.

Chelle gives me a serious look as the elevator doors close. "Dude, what did you do?"

I shrug. "It slipped. Do you think he put it together?"

"Probably! He might actually freak out now since you didn't straight up say you're pregnant."

"I didn't mean to have it come out like that."

"You have to talk to him about it tonight."

I sigh. "I know. Even if I wanted to hide it from him, which I don't, I can't any longer. I have to say something as soon as he gets to the hotel room."

"Yeah, you should. We all heard you in the car."

"Do you think that's what they're talking about?"

"Probably."

I sigh. "This is just great."

Randy's POV

I look at John as I get a cigarette out to smoke. "Did we both hear the same thing from Rissa in the car?"

John gives me a serious look. "Five lives actually."

I light my cigarette. "Can I ask her now?"

"I mean she said five. I think that's grounds enough to ask her about it. Congratulations on the baby though."

"Thanks, I guess. Let me talk to her before you say congratulations."

"Did you notice how long the girls were in the bathroom? It was long enough to take a pregnancy test. Marissa did seem pretty bothered when the girls came back out of there too."

"Don't you think I noticed that? She's my wife after all. I tried to get her to talk about it while we were dancing, but she didn't mention being pregnant."

"She probably didn't want to say anything while we were all in public. I think she'll tell you. I doubt she wants to keep that from you."

"I would hope not since I'm the father."

"You can't be a douche when she tells you though."

"I'm not going to be a douche to her. I love her. There's a baby. There's no reason for me to be a douche."

"Okay. Just be careful about things."

"I will. So do we think the girls know?"

"Chelle definitely does. Did you see how she looked at Rissa in the car?"

I laugh. "Oh yeah. That was something. I don't think I can plan how to handle this."

"Not really. You don't know how or when she's gonna bring it up."

"I'm hoping she'll say something tonight."

"You can't guarantee that she will though."

"I know, but I don't want her to worry about having to tell me for a while. It's not like I'm gonna be mad. I'm happy about it. I just want to discuss it with her. This affects a lot of things."

John gives me a serious look. "Randal, this affects everything."

"I know." I put out my cigarette. "I'm going to head inside. I'll see you in the morning."

"See ya in the morning. Let me know how it goes."

"I will."

Marissa's POV

I paced around the hotel room. Randy wasn't in here yet, and I was nervous about talking to him. I felt like I needed to tell him tonight, with no waiting at all. The longer he took talking to John, the more anxious I got. On top of that, I was uncomfortable in the dress I was wearing, but I wouldn't be able to get it off until Randy was up here. I hear a knock on the door. I rush over to open the door.

Randy leans in the doorway. "Can I come in? Or is it too late to come visit this pretty little thing tonight?"

I smile. "Well, I guess someone has to help me get out of this dress."

Randy walks in and closes the door behind him. "That I can gladly help you with."

"Thank you."

Randy gets behind me to help unzip the back of my dress. "You would tell me if something was bothering you, right?"

"Of course."

"I bet this was the only thing keeping you from already being in pajamas."

"Actually, I still need to take my makeup off, and I'm thinking I'm gonna take a shower."

"Honestly, I probably should shower too."

"I'd prefer you to."

Randy finishes unzipping the back of my dress. "And you're good. I'll take a shower, Rissa."

"Thank you. I love you."

"I love you too." Randy kisses my forehead as I look at my purse, where my positive pregnancy test was.

I put on pajamas and look over at my purse. Randy was sitting on the edge of the bed, playing with his phone. I slowly opened the purse, hoping Randy wouldn't turn around.

"Rissa, can I ask you a question?" Randy asks as I pull the pregnancy test out of my purse.

"Yeah…" I reply as I start to approach him. "What's up?"

"Are you pregnant?"

I drop the pregnancy test, being surprised by him just straight up asking. "I…well…"

Randy looks at me before looking at the ground. "Is that a pregnancy test?"

I shrug before picking up the pregnancy test. "If you had waited like two more seconds before asking, I'd be handing it to you."

Randy stands up and approaches me. "You're pregnant?"

My eyes start to water, and my throat feels hoarse. "Yes, I'm pregnant."

Randy slowly took the pregnancy test out of my hand. "Yeah, that's positive alright."

I swallow hard as I know that I'm on the verge of crying. "I know we agreed to not start trying again, but I can't help the fact that I'm pregnant."

Randy grabbed me and pulled me into his arms. "I'm not mad about that one bit. I was honestly considering asking if you wanted to start trying again. You're already not competing. We're doing better now. I guess I don't have to ask now."

I start quietly crying into his chest. "I'm kinda freaking out though."

"Why? This is a good thing. I'm happy."

"I don't know how to parent. I've never been in labor. I don't know what I'm doing."

Randy brushes his fingers through my hair. "Everything will be just fine, Marissa."

"You really think so?"

"Yeah, I do. I'm going to be doing this with you. We're in this together. It didn't happen when we wanted it, but I guess now is the right time."

"There's a part of me that is so happy right now, but I'm having a lot of anxiety."

Randy held me tightly. "And that's okay. Let's head to the bed."

I nod. "Okay."

Randy grabbed my hand and took me to the bed. "We're having a baby. It's amazing. You're bringing a life into this world. You're doing something absolutely incredible."

I sat down. "I didn't think about it that way."

Randy wrapped his arms around me. "Well, that's how I view it. It's amazing. I can't wait to do this."

"I'm just glad you're happy about this."

"There was no way I wouldn't be. Who knows?"

"Just you and the girls."

"All three of them?"

"Yeah, Ryse and Eve came into the bathroom while Chelle and I were waiting on the results. Chelle literally gave me the pregnancy test."

"Alright, John essentially knows too. He and I were discussing what was going on with you and he said it sounded like Chelle during the early parts of her pregnancy. Plus, he heard what you said in the car."

"I didn't want it to slip out that way."

Randy laughs. "It's alright."

"I don't want to tell a lot of people from work yet."

"Okay, that's fine with me. Who are we gonna tell?"

"I want to tell Stephanie and Paul. I'm going to tell Colby. We should just go ahead and tell the rest of our friend group. I don't want to tell Vince yet though. As for your family, I'll leave that up to you. I'm fine with telling them."

Randy smiles. "How about we tell my parents when we get home from work?"

"That's fine with me."

"Good, we're also going to get you into the doctor's office. You're going to need an appointment for your pregnancy."

I nod. "I know."

Randy kissed my cheek. "You're going to be the best mom to this baby."

I lay down. "Man, I hope so."

Randy lifted my shirt a little bit. "You will be. Hey, little one, it's your dad. Your mom and I are going to be so excited to have you. You're going to be the most spoiled child."

I laugh. "What are you doing?"

"What do you think I'm doing? I'm talking to the baby."

"It's not going to hear you yet."

"Well, maybe I want to talk to my little one."

"Okay, continue."

Randy smiles at me before continuing. "Your mom is the coolest. You're going to be so lucky. She's going to take such good care of you. Don't give her such a hard time while you're in there. I might have to ground you when you're born if you do."

I laugh. "You can't ground the baby as soon as it's born."

"And your mom is already taking your side. It's already starting."

"I'm not taking sides. I'm just saying you can't ground a newborn."

Randy laughs. "Anyway, little one, you don't know it yet, but you are already so loved. Now go to sleep like your mom and I are. Goodnight, little one."

I smile at Randy. "You're the best."

"I know. How do you want to tell the friend group as a whole?"

"Could we invite them to breakfast tomorrow?"

"Yeah, that's fine, babe."

I roll over and grab my phone to text the rest of the friends in our group chat.

Me: Hey, breakfast here at the hotel at 8.

"It's done." I say as I put my phone down and get under the blankets. "I'm going to sleep now."

Randy smiled. "Me too. The baby better go to sleep too."

"Goodnight, Randy."
