A/N: I think I have a migraine from all the randomness…
OOOOOOOOOOOOO
She danced in front of the fire, unaware of her surroundings. But he was watching. David always watched her.
It had been months though, since he had last seen her. She had gone with the tourists and come back with the fresh wave. And David had waited.
The girl cheered when the song ended. David hadn't heard the band at all. He had been too focused on the girl.
She smiled and walked through the crowd, heading away from the bandstand. David follow slowly.
The girl hummed as she walked, the heels of her boots clicking on the wood. She stopped next to the railing overlooking the beach and ocean beyond. She sighed and looked out into the darkness. Her blackened hair swayed in the breeze.
"You're late," she said softly.
"I never left," David answered, leaning against the railing next to her.
"You do realize that money's an object that not many people have, don't you? I had to go back home to my folks."
David was silent for a moment. "You got here, when?"
"Yesterday."
Annoyance crossed his face. "And you didn't tell me?"
The girl rolled her eyes. "I had to sleep! Besides, you don't exactly have a phone number to reach you at."
David pulled his cigarette from between his lips and blew out of a stream of smoke. "That's not a valid argument."
"I think it is."
"So stop thinking. Try doing something next time."
Confusion hit her eyes, then annoyance. She pushed herself away from the railing and glared at him. "That doesn't make any sense!"
David was silent, pretending to regard the night sky. The girl let out a frustrated sound and folded her arms over her chest, beginning to walk away. David followed easily.
"You look different."
"So?"
"So, do you like it?"
The girl shrugged. "Never really thought about it."
"Yeah. Right."
"Be nice. I know you can do that." The girl brushed her hand through her hair. "Did you honestly think I wasn't coming back?"
David's ice blue eyes flashed. "You'd always come back."
"And if I didn't?"
"I'd make you."
"Creepy."
"Only if you make it creepy." David took a long drag on his cigarette. "I can always make you come back. I am sure you would have been more than willing to come back if I had shown up at your front door."
The girl put her hands in her pockets. "Well, you won't have to worry about that, I guess."
David reached out and grabbed her by the arm, holding her in place. "What does that mean?"
"I'm moving to Santa Carla." She tilted her head to the side. "Does that bother you?"
"Bother me?" David's brow furrowed. How can she be so stupid? "Why the hell would it bother me?"
The girl shrugged and stared at a spot on his chest. David pulled her to him and crushed her against him. His fingers tangled in her hair and he breathed in her scent.
"Do you not know how much I wanted you to be back here?" he asked against her hair. "Do you know how badly I crave you and your scent, your touch? It's so bad that even the Boys got cravings…"
The girl wrapped her fingers in his shirt. "You – you can't have wanted me that badly?"
David smirked. "If you were more into exhibitionism, I'd take you by the railing. I wanted to bend you over and go at it when I first saw you here again."
He felt the heat rise up in her. He knew that she was blushing red. He chuckled and pressed a kiss to her hair.
"You're wrong…so, so wrong," she whispered, her voice muffled against his chest.
"You like it."
The girl didn't argue.
OOOOOOOOOO
David took his time with her. He kissed every inch of skin, traced every curve, and loved her thoroughly. He didn't believe that he could want her more than he already did, but as he touched every part of her, he wanted her more and more.
The girl let out a long cry as they reached a mutual climax. David growled and looked at her, his eyes tinted with gold. The girl didn't shrink away from him at the sight.
"Cute," was all she said.
David shook his head and looked away. "Not cute. Those are the eyes of a demon."
The girl reached up and touched his cheek. "There's nothing demonic about you."
David's heart thawed, but didn't beat. He moved off of her and moved away, scooping his pants of the floor.
"We need to talk about living arrangements," he said, slipping his jeans on, but leaving them unfastened.
"There's a hotel that I'm staying at until I can find somewhere to rent."
"That's no good. You aren't from around here. You'll likely end up on someone else's turf and that isn't fucking happening." David popped a cigarette between his lips and lit it. "That's not ever happening. I'm going to find you a place. Where I can keep an eye on you."
"Creepy," the girl sang quietly.
David turned to look at her. "You're not going to disappear on me."
The girl shrugged. David moved to stand in front of her.
"You're not disappearing again," he repeated.
Her green eyes turned up to him, a challenge dancing in her eyes. David smirked and crushed out his cigarette. David moved to kiss her and that desire kicked up in him again.
"Need a reminder of what will keep you here?" he asked.
"Maybe….."
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
