It was late at night in BT Electronics (Bestman and Toomes)
Inside of it, there was old man with hair and wearing a stripe suit, saving some money inside a briefcase
Until the door was busted open, flying against the nearby wall
-"What the hell?!" the man said terrified
-"Long time no see, Gregory" someone said, he was a skinny bald old man
-"A-Adrian!?" the first man known as Gregory asked once he saw his former business partner, but what stood out the most was his suit
Adrian Toomes was wearing a drab green jumpsuit, with a white feathers collar, and wings attached under the arms.
-"Suprise to see me?" Toomes asked sarcastically
-"What's with that silly outfit?"
Instead of getting a verbal answer, what he got was a raging Toomes diving at him, like a bird hunting its prey
Using one of its talons like feet, he grabbed him by the head and pinned him down against the floor
-"Agh!" Gregory squeaked
-"Whos the idiot now, huh Gregory?"
-"W-Wait!" he yelled, begging for his life "It was just business Adrian, nothing personal"
-"You made it personal when you betrayed me"
-"Then go after him, not me!"
"Oh, I will, but, I can have you double cross me again, now can I?"
He applied more strength on his victim's head
-"Nghhh" Gregory could feel his head tightening "No, please…. AGHHHHH!"
And thus, his head was squashed like a watermelon, bits and chunks of brain and skin tainting the nearby floor, and a pool of blood forming next to the lifeless body
-"Woah" Vulture felt a strange feeling within him "That felt… good, who knew revenge could be this pleasing?"
Eventually, he set the building on fire, flying away into the night sky
-"That's one down… and" he thought of a particular man he has to take revenge against…. the person who bought his company "Fisk is next"
The following morning, wednesday november 13th, Izumi was having breakfast, watching the news as he did so, while his mother was answering a call in the kitchen
-"I am outside the remains of BT Electronics (Bestman and Toomes)" a reporter said, showcasing the burnt building "The causes of the fire are yet unknown, though some nearby witnesses confirm that last night, the owners of said company, Adrian Toomes and Gregory Bestman" The TV showed pictures of them "Were arguing. Afterwards, the fire took place, the fire department has encountered the body of Bestman-san, but there are no traces of Adrian Toomes"
-"I hope he's safe" Izumi thought
-"In the meantime" the reporter paused "Wait, I am receiving information that the Captain of Hinos Police Department, Meiyo Kamiya, is about to make an announcement in regards to Spider-man, we are now live at the police station"
That part got Izumis attention
The footage changed, displaying the captain standing in front of some microphones
-"Thank you for your patience" he said "I know lots of people have been expecting the polices answer in regards to Spider-man. After careful discussion with the city's authorities, as well as analyzing the feats of him, Ive reached a conclusion" He took a deep breath "I am officially ordering the arrest of Spider-man"
The area became a mess of camera flashes, as well as reporters asking all sorts of questions
The nearby audience was full of either people clapping or calling the captain for his good decision, though there few who were booing him
Upon hearing this, Izumi should have been depressed, a feeling of dread plaguing his young mind
Again, should have, except
He was informed beforehand
Last night, at his meeting with Meiyo
-"You are ordering my arrest?" the young hero asked
-"I am afraid so. I tried to delay it as much as I could, but the authorities, a.k.a, politicians" he let out a sigh at this "Won't wait any longer. We both know you were set up by Fisk, but we have no way to prove it"
-"While he does have "proof" that I attacked him" he bitterly said
-"I know, its stupid, but the guy has too much influence, plus"
-"What?"
He looked away ashamed "I am actually worried that he has heard about my hesitation, and that"
-"May go after your family again"
He gave no answer, there was no need
-"I am really sorry for this" he put a hand on his face "I wish I could do more for you"
-"It's ok" the young hero put a hand on his shoulder, and spoke in a reassuring way "You are already helping me a lot, and you are looking after your family, which is something Kingpin will never understand"
-"Thank you, Spider-man" he felt relieved "If only there was some way to counterattack"
-"You said you were investigating before. Cant we use any of that evidence?"
-"No. It was destroyed, the guy himself made sure of it"
-"Guess I am not the only one with bad luck" Izumi thought
-"If only there was a way we can show the public youre not a menace. Your rescue of Nekozaki-san has helped a bit, she and her parents are speaking good of you"
He smiled under his mask
-"But unfortunately, it's being overshadowed by hate comments and the like, but if we could just prove them wrong, it will be a good first step"
-"It 's ok. It doesn't matter what they say, but rather my actions, right?"
The captain smiled "Right"
-"So Ill keep helping people, and we will stop Kingpin!" he fist bumped
-"We will. Ill keep investigating what I can on my end, you keep stopping criminals, hopefully one of them will eventually talk. And let's hope we don't have to deal with any other weirdos like Shocker"
-"You can say that again. Or another Kuroshi" he then remembered something peculiar about that heist
-"Whats wrong?" the captain asked him
-"I" he remembered jumping to save a falling Nekozaki "I jumped from a 25 floor rooftop"
His body began to loosen up
-"I seriously did that'' his knees felt like gelatine "I didn't realize at the moment with all the adrenaline, but… I seriously did something that crazy"
He began to fall
-"H-Hey!" Meiyo held the suddenly heavy hero "What's with you?!"
To this, he got no answer
Once he was better, and after agreeing to meet up every three days, they parted ways
Despite the grim situation, Izumi felt confident, he was not gonna let Kingpin or any other evil doers get away with their crimes
-"Thank you so much" her mother said as she hung up her phone "I have good news, Yuu"
-"What is it?"
-"I got a job"
-"Really?" he felt proud "Congratulations"
-"It's only at a little restaurant, nothing fancy, but itll do. I'll be working from 3 PM to 9 PM"
-"Thats a little late" her son was concerned "Ill be sure to be there to wait for you"
-"I appreciate that Yuu, but only if you have the time though, dont feel pressure"
-"I know, I just don't want anything to happen to you"
-"Thank you Yuu"
He sure as hell will, if he can't be there as Yuuki Izumi, hell be there as Spider-man, just as hes patrolling the area
-"Very well"
After finishing breakfast, he went to school
After the school day was over, Shikimori, Kamiya, and Nekozaki decided to meet up to play basketball once more
-"So how have your parents been doing, Nekozaki?" Shikimori asked as she passed the ball
-"There's still some tension" the black haired replied, somewhat down "Dads been hiding some stuff from her, mainly related to work, so it is hard for them to meet eye to eye" she threw the ball at the basket, scoring
-"You said that they've started to attend couple counseling?" Kamiya asked as she picked up the ball
-"Yeah, though it is gonna be a long and hard road" she smiled a bit "But is ok, they are both trying to work towards fixing things, plus, they ask my opinion more, so I am confident things will work out in the end"
-"I am glad to hear that" Shikimori said as she received the ball "And Im glad that you were rescued. I still can't believe you were kidnapped"
-"Well, it was scary, and unexpected!" she then looked at Kamiya "Speaking of unexpected Kamiya, I was surprised to learn your dad is the captain of the Police"
-"Yeah" Shikimori agreed
-"It's not a big deal" Kamiya replied, sounding calm "I am sorry about his sudden questions though"
-"Dont be" Shikimori reassured her "It was to help Nekozaki, and we are all grateful to him"
-"I agree" Nekozaki added
Kamiya smiled "Ill let him know that. By the way, Nekozaki, have you seen Spider-man since?"
-"Nope, but it's ok, he saved me and helped my family, that's enough for me. Plus, the guy has too much on his plate as it is"
-"Are you referring to the announcement that was made this morning?" Shikimori asked
-"Yeah" she sounded worried
-"Ive asked father about it" Kamiya said "He didn't sound happy about making it, but"
-"But what?" Shikimori asked
The blue haired put a hand on her chin "Well, when Spider-man first showed up, he was stressed, then, he was relieved, but now, with his announcement he seems worried once more. I honestly can't tell what he's thinking"
-"That's odd" Nekozaki said confused
-"I've asked him about it, but he says not to worry"
-"Maybe it's part of an investigation" Shikimori pointed out "And he has to keep it confidential"
-"Probably. But it's ok, both mother and I are used to this"
-"Maybe hes working with Spider-man in secret, hahaha" Nekozaki said while laughing
Shikimori giggled, while Kamiya shook her head in amusement
-"I seriously doubt it, but regardless, so long as hes safe"
-"Yeah. Anyway, let's continue playing. Pass it Michhon"
And they did so
The following day, after classes were over, Izumi was patrolling around the area
-"No sign of any thieves or the like" he thought as he swing across the city "Kingpin and his man must be being careful" he then came to an stop at a rooftop "But Captain Kamiya is right, even if I stop his goons, it ain't a direct blow to him, he can just get more" he felt frustrated "I just hope he's not thinking of hiring more mercenaries"
As he kept patrolling the area, he heard quite the commotion
-"Wonder what's that about?"
He landed in a building in front of a museum, in which Fisk was shaking hands with someone, the flashes of the camera
-"Fisk-san, sir" a reporter called "How are you feeling in regards to the announcement of Spider-man arrest?"
-"I am glad the police came to their senses" his tone sounded empathetic "With their efforts, combined with yours my good friends, we will see this city in peace once more"
To this, he received cheers from the public. He truly knew how to captivate the masses
-"I can't believe he's lying to them" Izumi felt bad for them "But I know we will stop him"
Suddenly, his vibrations went off
-"Something's about to happen"
Out of nowhere, the area where Kingpin and the others were was engulfed by smoke
People were coughing heavily, the police in the area where trying to found the one behind this
-"What the?!" Izumi thought
Eventually, the smoke cleared
-"AHHAHAHAHA!" someone laughed crazily
They all looked at the source of the laugh, and could not believe what, or rather, who they saw
-"Who is that?!" the young hero thought
-"Greetings, citizens of Hino, this is Vulture!" Toomes, or rather, Vulture said "Now, dont panic, Ill just go after who I want, and let you be!"
He dived towards them, or rather, towards Kingpin
But before he could get to his target, he felt something attaching to his talon foot. It was web
-"Huh?" he looked at the source of said web, and clenched his teeth at him "Ill be back for you later" he said this while looking at a rather shocked Kingpin
He began to fly at great speed, leaving the scene of crime
Izumi was still holding to his web, however, said web began to stretch, and
-"Woah!" he was being dragged by his web as Vulture kept on flying, like a cowboy that was dragged by a bull in one of those western movies he once saw "Ok, maybe not the best idea!"
-"Damn, youre annoying" Vulture spinned around, forcing the hero to let go of the web
However, he fired another web line towards a nearby building, and used it to land on the wall
-"Never been happier for wall-crawling"
-"So youre the famous freak that's causing ruckus!" Vulture said from high in the sky
-"Again with the freak?" Izumi felt hurt, but shook those thoughts away "A-Anyway, who are you? Do you also work for Fisk, I mean, Kingpin?"
-"Please" he felt offended "As if a genius of mine would stand so low. I am after him! and youre not getting in my way!"
Diving with his sharp talons, Izumi moved away, the impact of the atack breaking the wall of the building, small debris falling to the street
-"Yikes, he's really strong!"
Jumping at the hero once more, he was able to grab him, smashing him against the next building
-"Ugh" Izumi felt his body hurting, the searing pain crawling through his body
-"Want some more?" lifting the hero once more, he smashed him against the wall yet another time
However, recovering some strength, Izumi fired web at his opponents eyes, blinding him temporarily, and breaking himself free
-"Agh!" Vulture began to remove the web from his eyes
Taking advantage of this, Izumi fire a web cord at his opponents chin
Lifting himself, he dived towards him, landing an uppercut that send the flying criminal rolling upwards
-"Ngh" using his wings, he steered himself "Not bad for a freak"
-"Give up now!" Izumi yelled from the roof bellow
-"Give up?!" Vulture felt insulted "As if! Don't get cocky!"
Suddenly, the villain threw the same smoke grenades at the masked hero
-"Gotta jump!" and he did so just before the smoke was about to engulf him
However, it was part of Vultures plan
Izumi felt his vibrations, but it was too late, he was caught mid-air by a crushing knee against his stomach
-"Uff" Izumi could feel the air leaving his lungs as he landed on the ground, only to be pinned down by his opponents talon
-"You mess with the wrong bird, hero" he cockily said as he pressed harder against his opponents chest
-"Ngh" noticing a nearby trash can, he fired some web at it. Pulling from the web, he threw the trash can to his opponent
-"Agh" the impacted wasn't much, thanks to his own suit, but it was enough to distract him
Using this chance, Izumi swiped his opponent's legs, causing him to fall back into the sky
-"Lets see how you do against these!" flapping his wings, he fire his feathers as projectiles against the young hero
Standing as fast as he could, Izumi jumped back
But
-"Ngh" he could feel as one of the feathers, sharp as a blade, slashed at his right ankle, leaving a bloody cut to it "Ok, need to be careful with those"
But before their fight could continue, they heard the sound of a polices chopper arriving to the battlefield
-"Hinos Police Department!" an officer yelled from the helicopter "Surrender now!"
-"Shit!" Vulture cursed "I don't need the police bothering me while I go after Fisk! So much for a quick attack!"
He then threw his sharp feathers at the polices chopper, who maneuvered out of the way
Vulture then looked at the hero "Consider this your only warning, Spider-man!" he then flew away into the horizon "These Skies are mine!" and he was gone
-"Damn it, we lost him!" the police turned his attention to Izumi "Spider-man, surrender"
But he was no longer there
In an alleyway a couple of blocks away, Izumi was resting against the wall
-"So much for not another weirdo like Shocker" he looked at the feather blade that he took with him. It still had his own blood in it "Seriously, where do these guys come from?"
Upon further inspection of his body, he saw the talon marks against his chest. They had left small puncture wounds on it
-"I guess some bandages are going to be needed"
Deciding that it was enough for today, he went back home
The following day, Friday 15, Izumi was having lunch with his friends and girlfriend
-"You guys!" Nekozaki said "Check this out!"
She showed them some recorded footage of Vulture's attack
-"Seriously?" Inuzuka was at a loss "A human crow?"
-"Pretty sure it was a vulture" Izumi painfully added
They all looked at him
-"Why a vulture?" Shikimori asked with curiosity
-"Um, I mean, does it matter what type of bird it is? hehe"
-"Hm, yeah, I guess it doesn't" she was satisfied with his answer
-"Phew" he felt relieved
-"Well, according to some witnesses, he calls himself Vulture, so Izumi was onto something" Hachimitsu added
-"Regardless, first Spider-man, now a bird-man" Nekozaki said, "What's next, a man-dog?"
-"Inu" Hachimitsu looked at his blonde friend "Something you want to tell us?"
-"PUT THE ZUKA TO MY NAME!" he felt irritated, as he always did whenever they did that joke
They all laughed at this, including Izumi "Though I could do without having to deal with a man-dog criminal, thank you very much"
The rest of the school day went on without issue, and now, Izumi was meeting with Captain Kamiya
-"A bird-man" he felt ridiculous saying that "What is this town coming to?"
-"No idea" Izumi felt just as confused "Any ideas of who he might be? He was not wearing a mask"
-"As a matter of fact, yes. Have you seen the news of the fire at "BT Electronics (Bestman and Toomes)?"
-"Yes"
-"Well" he showed him a file with some documents "Youre looking at Adrian Toomes"
Izumi's masks eyes went wide "You mean one of the owners?"
-"Precisely. Thank goodness he was careless enough to fly around in that suit. Then again, some people who knew him said that he has a bit of an ego, so maybe that was on purpose"
-"He mentioned he was after Kingpin"
-"He did?" the captain felt conflicted "Well, as much as I want the guy gone, if Vulture is after him to kill him, it doesn't work for us. We need him alive"
-"Yeah. Plus, even if he's a villain, killing him isn't an answer"
-"I know. Having said that, I think I know when Vulture will strike next, so we need to be ready for it"
-"Oh?" Izumi was curious
And so, they devised a plan
If Vulture was after Kingpin, he might have some clues to the latters crimes, which would be a good way to stop him, as well as cleaning Spider-mans, Izumis, name
The young hero felt hopeful, even though it was not gonna be an easy battle
And thats the end of that, and so, Vulture is here! How will Izumi handle this new threat?
Sorry that Ive been absent for over a month, I got a new schedule at work which leaves me tired, it sucks because I really want to finish the 2nd year of Highschool Saga before the year ends. Alas, things never go as planned
Next time, Izumi goes to a formal event
