Hi Readers: And welcome to a new day of chapters. One which I hope will be very productive for the story. However, I want to let you know that this is not the first new material that I'm publishing for you today. Rather, I just posted an updated version of chapter one. And hopefully, you guys can do me a favor and read that chapter once again for me; then, you can read this new chapter.

Chapter Two

HOME OFFICE, HALSTEAD HOME – He was exactly where the couple guessed he was going to be when they got home: by the fireplace in their home office, as that's where Bobby always is when he's home in the winter. And just who might Bobby be? Well, that would be Jay's dog. And no, not Jay and Alex's dog; Jay's dog, as he's his service/emotional support dog for his PTSD. And whenever they needed to find him here at their home in the greater Chicago area, they always found him next to the fireplace in his office. And that's precisely why Jay made sure to make his way in here the moment he and Alex got home from the office. After all, he wanted to make sure that he didn't get into any mischief while he was at the office. "Why did I have a feeling that he was going to be in here when we got home?" Taking off her heels and setting them down in the front closer, Alex just laughed a bit. "Because that's always where Bobby wants to be. He wants to be in the warm areas of the home. Hell, it's why I made sure to finally give that rug a nice cleaning while you were gone." Turning around to look at his wife, Jay was confused as she said that as there was no rug in his office. "What rug?"

Smiling as she looked at her husband (while also making her way over to him), Alex made sure to specify which rug she was talking about. "I'm talking about the rug he sleeps on in our room. God, it was so hairy and was due for a wash." Jay agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that was the case as she made her way over to him; meanwhile, Alex grabbed his blazer and smiled as she stood close to the man she loves prior to kiss him softly as he placed his hands on her hips. "Welcome home." Jay smiled as he agreed with Alex, very happy to be home with the woman he loves. "Believe me, there's nowhere I'd rather be right now. Home, with the woman I love." Smirking, Alex agreed with Jay as she knew that was the truth. "Tell me about it. And if anything, this is where you always belong." Jay agreed with his wife as she said that, smiling as he wrapped his arms around her nice and tight, while also kissing her again as he started to take things nice and slow with her. "You have no idea how much I wanted to have you here when I got home." Alex laughed as she heard Jay say that, especially since she knew why that was the case. "I have an idea why that's the case."

Jay smirked as he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves, while Alex placed her hand on his neck as they took things nice and slow with each other; prior to feeling her husband bending down and kissing her neck softly. And damn, is that a huge turn on. After all, she always loves it when he gets sexy with her; but this is not where she wants to get sexy with her man. So, she wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled as she turned her head and looked at the man of her dreams. "God, I'm so happy that we're home." Jay agreed with his wife, well aware that was the case. "I mean, what's better than being home with the person you love more than anything in the entire world when it's all you want right now?" Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, smiling as she wrapped her arms around his neck as they both cuddled up to each other; prior to feeling Jay bend down and wrap his arm around her legs, only to pick her up in his arms bridal style. And let's just say that this is exactly how Alex wanted to be carried by her husband. She wanted to be carried bridal style by her husband. "Now, this brings me back to a certain night I love." Jay smirked. "When I carried you right into our hotel suite?"

Alex agreed with her husband and smiled as she leaned in and started to take things nice and slow with the man she loves once more, as this is precisely what they both want to do right now; they want to hold each other close and take it easy with each other in the comfort of their bed. But first, they need to get up there. "By the way, I sent Will a text in case he gets into a fight with Natalie warning him…I'm taking my husband in my arms tonight. So, he's been forewarned about it." Jay smirked, agreeing with his gorgeous wife as she said that; while also being more than ready to do just that with the woman he loves. The woman he was more than ready to take in his arms due to the fact that he loves and missed her so much. "If that's what you want me to do, then I am more than ready to give you the attention you crave from me." Smirking, Alex leaned in as she placed her hand on his face and just started to suck on his neck, which is precisely what Jay wanted her to do as he carried her upstairs. "Damn, now that was very sexy baby." Alex agreed with Jay, well aware that he's very turned on whenever they have fun with each other. And that's precisely what she wants to do.

She wants to have fun as she reconnects with her husband after they were gone, as he helps her relax. "We going to spend some quality time in bed with each other today?" Jay smirked as he made his way over to the stairs, prior to carrying his wife up the first few steps carefully. "What do you think I want to do right now? I want to take my gorgeous bride in my arms, as we hold each other close and just take it nice and easy with each other." Alex agreed with her husband, especially since she wants to do the same thing with him. She wants to take things nice and slow with the man of her dreams, who is very sexy and such a great lover. But, before they can have fun with each other, they need to get upstairs, which is why Jay was currently making his way upstairs to bed with the woman of his dreams as soon as he possibly could. I mean, what else could she want to do other than take things nice and slow with the man of her dreams? Especially when it can help her relax, which is what she needs to do right now; while they talk about stuff they spoke about at the office and then on the way home. More specifically: (1) the pressure she's felt recently, and (2) how she's lonely when he's gone. He just hopes that the two of them can talk about it, and that she doesn't clam up when it comes to them talking.

PRIMARY BATHROOM - Now, this is what he always misses when he's away on business; getting to see his sexy wife wearing garments like she was wearing for him right now: sexy lingerie, which he absolutely loves the sight of when they're alone. However, the same couldn't be said about her being happy with what her husband was wearing for her, as she wasn't very happy as she watched him walk into their bathroom in his sweats; rather than just wearing his boxers, like she wanted. And she wasn't going to stay quiet about as she felt, as she was the type of woman who vocalizes her displeasure, which is precisely what she did. "So, you decided not to wear your boxers for me?" Taking a breath as he walked up behind his wife in their bathroom, Jay nodded as he looked at her in the mirror. After which, he placed his hands on her hips as he looked at the woman he loves more than anything. "Yes, because there's something else we need to do other than have sexy time with each other right now." Turning around to look at her husband as he told her that, Alex was confused as she had no idea what she was talking about. "What are you talking about? Alex, you're talking in code right now."

Jay agreed with his wife as she said that, as that was the case: he is talking in code right now, as he didn't want to get too deep into their conversations, when he'd rather do that in bed; but now, it seems like he needs to do just that. So, he went ahead and told his wife what he knows. "Baby, we already spoke about it on our way home. We both know that people have been telling me how you've been at the office at the time. And I know, it was due to the fact that you missed me; but, you clearly need to do something right now…something that we both know you'd never admit to yourself that you need to do." Taking a breath, Alex agreed with her husband as she already knew what he was talking about; she was talking about her just taking it easy and relaxing right now. She's been so pre-occupied and just worried about a lot. However, she just hasn't felt like she could talk to her husband about it until now; until he told her that he's here for her so that they can talk. "Alex, I want you to talk to me. Please babe, I love you and we already said that we were going to talk on our way home; then we changed it to when we would get home." Alex agreed with her husband, as they did.

They agreed that they were going to talk to each other here at home, as they cuddled up to each other in the comfort of their bed, which is precisely what they plan on doing with each other today. But first, Alex decided to step close to the man she loves while placing her hands on her husband's sexy, toned, muscular chest. Meanwhile, Jay placed his hands on her face as he leaned in and took things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you Alex, and I'm here for you. You know that, right?" Alex agreed with her husband, as she knows that; after all, it's why they came home so that they can take it easy and relax. "I know. And we're going to talk to each other, I promise." Jay agreed with his wife as she said that, smiling as he placed his hands on her arms as he leaned in and just started to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves. "I love you Alex, so I want to talk. I want to be here for you, because that's what a husband does; he supports and loves his wife throughout their marriage." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, as he does that expertly. "Well, you always do a great job doing that." Jay agreed with his wife.

Wrapping his arms around his beautiful wife, Jay smiled as he looked down into his wife's eyes; while she wrapped her arms around his shoulders as she looked up at the man of her dreams. After which, Jay bent down and proceeded to take things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams. The woman he loves more than anything in the entire world, simply due to the fact that she's his beautiful wife. "God, I love you and I'm just so happy to be home with you." Alex agreed with Jay, as she felt the same way: she was thrilled that he was home, due to the fact that she's missed him a lot. And now that he was home, she was just going to take all the time she can to take it easy as she cuddles up to him in bed. "Promise me we do something today?" Jay agreed with his wife. "What is it?" Alex smiled at Jay. "I want to cuddle up to you in bed, hold you close and just take time with each other. We came home to be with each other, not to work or anything. Can you promise me that we're going to just spend time with each other?" Jay agreed with his wife, as that most certainly is something he can promise her: that they're going to take time with each other and concentrate on each other.

After all, that's what she needs right now. "Alex, of course, I can promise you that; I can promise you that because it's why I asked you to come home: so that you can rest and take it easy, which is something you haven't done in a while. Babe, you've been working non-stop, and you need to breathe. And that's something else we clearly need to talk about, as husband and wife rather than as business partners. How you really feel about what Will did to you: how he made you feel pressured." Alex agreed with her husband, as she appreciates that. "But, can you promise me that you're on my side when it comes to that? I want to talk to you as my husband. Not Jay, Will's brother; or the Chairman and CEO." Jay agreed with Alex, as that's precisely how he wants to talk about all of this. "Alex, I love you and that's precisely how I want to talk to you about this. I want to talk to you as husband and wife, rather than talk about this in a business-related manner." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that and just smiled due to the fact that it's precisely what she wants to hear him say, just like she also wants to feel his strong arms around her, which is precisely what she has today.

She has her loving husband's strong arms around her, as they held each other close and concentrated on each other right now. "Listen, how about you go get in bed and just take it easy? I need to go do something anyways." Looking up at her husband, Alex was confused as she had no idea what he was talking about. "What are you talking about?" Sighing, Jay placed his hand on the side of her face as he stroked her cheek. "Alex, you already know that my brother has spoken to me; and he's told me that you haven't stopped…which means that you haven't ate as much as you should to stay healthy, especially with how stressed out you've been recently." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, well aware that was the case; so, she just knew what he was going to do. "So, I'm going to go to the kitchen, I'll make you some lunch; then, I'll come join you in bed where we can eat and just hold each other as we speak to each other." Alex agreed with her husband, as she loves that idea. "I love that idea." Jay smiled, agreeing with Alex as he placed his hands on her arms and just smirked as he leaned in and took things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams. "See you in a bit."

Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, prior to looking up into his eyes. "Maybe later, we can go take a swim with each other?" Jay smirked as he placed his hands on her face, especially since that's precisely what he wants to do. "I love the sound of that. But right now, you need to relax and take it easy. So, clean off all this makeup and go lay down in bed. Go put the Hallmark Channel on and wait for me to get you some food." Shocked, Alex looked at her husband as she thought she was dreaming; did her husband really just tell her to put the Hallmark Channel on? "Sorry, did you just tell me to put the HALLMARK CHANNEL on when I'm in bed?!" Jay smiled as he agreed with his wife, prior to placing his hand on the side of her face and kissing her softly. "It's what you need. You need to take it easy and relax, which is precisely what that channel does. And I'm going to watch, as I want to cuddle up to you and hold you as I help you relax, which is something else that you need right now." Alex agreed with Jay, because it is what she needs right now; but what she doesn't need is another man in her life. Jay is the only man she needs, as he's truly the best husband in the entire world.

And that's why she feels so lucky that she has this handsome man as her husband, something she decided to remind her husband as she stepped close to him and wrapped her arms around his waist. "Have I told you lately just how lucky I am when it comes to having an incredible husband like you?" Smiling, Jay agreed with his wife as she's told him that many times over the course of their marriage. "You've told me that all the time…and I feel the same way, because I am a very lucky man." Alex agreed with Jay once more, prior to leaning in and just taking things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. "Don't take long, I want you to hold me in bed." Jay agreed with his wife, as he wants to do the same thing. "I want to do the same thing. I want to hold you in my arms, so that I can help you relax and take it easy; including when you take a nap in my arms, since we both know that's going to happen." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that. "Can you make sure that Bobby's gone to the washroom? If I fall asleep, I don't want to be woken up." Jay agreed with his wife, as that was the plan. "That was the plan. Just like I plan on making us some wraps for lunch? Chicken Caesar wraps maybe?"

Alex smiled, as she loves the sound of them having chicken Caesar wraps for lunch. "Yes, please." Jay agreed with his wife and smiled as he kissed her quickly. "I love you." Alex agreed with her incredible husband, as she loves him too. "I love you too, especially since I'm a very lucky woman to have you as my husband. You truly are everything I've ever wanted in life, and I hope you know that." Jay agreed with his wife, as he most certainly does. "I do, and that's why we're going to talk for a bit. I know that we need to talk and figure some things out, as what we've been doing for the past six months can't keep going." Alex sighed as she looked down, as she knew this conversation was going to have to come up eventually; but she hoped that it wouldn't come up yet. "We can talk about it eventually, but you just got home; is there any way that it can wait a bit?" Jay agreed with his wife, as the conversation they need to have with each other about that can wait due to the fact that he wants her to relax and take it easy. "Alex, of course it can wait. It can wait because I don't want you to be stressed out right now, which I know that you're stressed when I just bring it up." Alex agreed.

After all, it does bring stress up. "Jay, I'm worried because I don't want to fight about this when our first Christmas is coming up. And it also touches on the business, and we haven't really figured out how we're doing that. So, I don't want to fight about that when…" Stepping close to his wife, Jay pushed Alex against the counter; before picking her up and setting her down on the edge of the counter. After which, he tugged her body against his chest and wrapped her legs around his waist; while he placed his hand on her neck and leaning in to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves. "Hey, look into my eyes." Alex agreed, doing just that for the man she loves. "Remember what I told you?" Looking into Jay's eyes, Alex sighed as he's told her a lot of things; so, he was going to need to be more specific. "Jay, you need to be more specific when you say things like that." Jay agreed with his wife. "I know I do. So, here's what I mean. Alex, YOU'RE MY WIFE. I'm married to you, not my job. You and our marriage will always come first because of how much you help me. Alex, are you okay? Be honest with me?" Alex sighed as she looked at her husband. "I'm just worried about us."

Looking into his wife's eyes, Jay decided to just listen and hear his wife out. "Jay, I recently counted the days. We've been married 182 days. But, we've been together for only 100 of them. Jay, that's almost half our marriage where we've been apart doing other things." Jay sighed as he heard Alex say that, as that was the last thing he wanted to hear his wife say; so, he knew that they needed to talk. "God, I hate the sound of that." Alex agreed with her husband, as she hated the sound of it too; so, they're going to need to talk about that with each other. "Yeah, that's why we need to talk to each other." Jay agreed with his wife before making her a promise, while also stepping close to her and placing his hands on her back; but before doing so, he leaned in and kissed his wife softly. Meanwhile, she placed her hands on his face and took things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. "Alex, we're going to talk as we cuddle up to each other and just hold each other close. Now that I know that you have a not on your mind, I promise that we're going to talk and make sure that we figure things out; as that's clearly what we need to do right now for the benefit of our marriage." Alex agreed.

After all, that's precisely what she wants to hear: that they're going to figure out things they need to do to benefit their marriage and make sure that they're married for a long time, which is one of the reasons why she's been holding back on him wanting to have kids. Something else she needs to be honest with her husband about. "About that, I have a confession that I need to make." Jay looked at his wife as she said that, while placing his hands on her legs and wrapping them around her waist. "And what would that be?" Alex sighed as she placed her hands on his muscular chest as she stared into his eyes. "I've been hesitant to try and have kids with you until we had this conversation." Jay nodded, agreeing with his wife due to the fact that he already knew that; well, more like he had a feeling that was the case. But now, he knew that was the case. "I had a feeling that was the case, but now it's confirmed." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, before placing her hand on his face as she leaned in and kissed him slowly. "I love you Jay, and I hope we can both figure this out." Jay agreed with his wife, as that's precisely what he wants to do as well: he wants to figure things out.

But, he doesn't just hope that they can do it, he knows that they can do it. "Alex, I don't just hope that we can do it, I know that we can do it." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, well aware that was the case, as she placed her hands on his toned chest and leaned in to take things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. "I love you Jay." Jay agreed with his wife, as he loves her too, while also placing his hands on her neck and just starting to take things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams. "I love you too Alex, forever. Now, how about we get you in bed; while I can make you some lunch?" Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, before smiling. "I was actually thinking….what if I come to the kitchen with you? We can eat there, then you don't need to leave bed ever again for our plates?" Jay sighed. "Alex, I'd rather you lay down in bed and just take it easy there. You need rest, as we both know you have been really stressed out and haven't been sleeping the best based on what I've been hearing." Alex agreed with Jay, which meant that she wasn't going to the kitchen with him; rather, she's just going to take it easy as she laid down in the comfort of their bed.

And that's precisely what Jay told her. "So, I'd rather you just lay down in bed and take it easy. I promise, I won't be long as I want to spend time with you too." Alex agreed with Jay as he told her that, well aware that was the case. But first, she needed him to take her somewhere: she needs him to take her to bed. "Maybe, first, I can get my husband to carry me to bed?" Jay smirked as Alex asked him whether he can carry her to bed, so he got close to her and wrapped her legs around his waist; after which, he placed his hands on her back and just smirked as he leaned in and kissed the woman of his dreams softly. Meanwhile, Alex wrapped her arms around his neck and just smirked as she got ready to get in bed ahead of Jay; but first, Jay had to pick her up (which he did right away as he wanted to get her in bed so that she can relax and just take it easy). That way, they can hold each other and relax. "I'm going to wear my sweats for a bit. Okay?" Alex agreed with Jay, well aware that she wasn't going to be able to change his mind when it came to him not wearing his sweats for her; not when he wants her to take it easy and just relax as she gets the rest she needs right now as it's overdue.

PRIMARY BEDROOM – Carrying Alex over to their bed, Jay smiled due to the fact that he was very happy to be holding his wife close to him; something he always likes to do since it means that he's about to get quality time with his wife. Well, that, and due to the fact that it means that Alex always lays her head down on his shoulder/chest when she's in his arms. And he had to say, it was very comfortable. Then again, he's always comfortable when he's holding his wife in his arms. But, the time with him holding his wife in his arms was now coming to an end due to the fact that Jay had to lay her down if he wanted to get them some lunch; so, that's precisely what he did (just as soon as he opened the covers). But, just because he laid her down doesn't mean that he's done giving his wife some attention, as he's still doing that since he just sat down and placed his hand on her neck. After which, he leaned over her and bent down to kiss her softly. "God, I love you and missed you." Alex agreed with her husband as she loves and missed him too. "I loved and missed you too." Jay agreed with his wife as she told him that, smirking as he leaned over her and just took things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams. "Listen, I want to kiss you so bad; but we need to eat first. So, how about I go get us some food?"

Smiling, Alex agreed with her husband as that's what she wants. But first, she wants to tell her husband something. "Here, sit down for a minute. I just want to say something first." Jay agreed with Alex as he sat down for Alex, while also watching as she sat up for him; getting close to her afterwards, Jay smiled as he grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers. "Before you go, I want to thank you for coming home early. I know that you probably could've stayed and tried to get more business but…" Shaking his head, Jay interrupted Alex. "Hey, look at me. That's not the truth and you know that. Alex, I missed you just as much as you missed me. And I know that we need to talk to each other and just figure a bunch of stuff out. And that's precisely what we're going to do. We're going to talk as we figure things out, especially since I know that you haven't been happy with how our life has been going lately." Looking at her husband, Alex tried to deny that was the truth. "Hey, I love our life, you alr…" Jay just looked at Alex as she said that, giving her a bit of side-eye to get her to tell him the truth. "Fine, I'm not happy about it. I just…" Jay then went to calm his wife down again, prior to placing his hand on her neck and leaning in to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything.

After which, he proceeded to tell her that he wasn't going to be long. "Hey, you can take it easy and just relax. Calm down baby and I promise that we can talk. And we're going to talk as husband and wife, just like how you want to talk to me." Alex smiled as she agreed with her husband due to the fact that this truly is everything she wants in life. She wants to have this incredible man as her husband, due to the fact that she loves him more than anything in the entire world. After which, she leaned in and started to take things nice and slow with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you too." Jay agreed with his wife, well aware that was the case. "Listen, take it easy and just relax. I'm going to get us some food, then we can eat. Maybe you can just get some rest and we can talk in a bit? Right now, what I want you to do is just rest and take it easy. It's what you need right now, after all." Alex agreed with her husband, as that's precisely what she needs to do right now. She needs to take it easy, as she just relaxes with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "Did I ever tell you that you're the love of my life?" Jay smiled as he agreed with Alex. After all, she's the love of his life too. "You're the love of my life too Alex, always will be." Alex agreed with her husband and smiled at him.

After which, he proceeded to get up so that he could go get her some food to eat. "Listen, I'm going to get us something to eat. Then, when we're done eating…we can talk as we hold each other close." Alex agreed with Jay. "And watch some movies until I fall asleep to take a nap." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that. "Yes, because that's what you need to have as soon as possible. So, please don't feel like you need to stay awake if you need to sleep babe." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, still feeling incredibly blessed over the fact that she has such a great man as her husband. "I swear, I am not worthy of this life we have with each other." Jay shook his head, as that was the last thing he wanted to hear. She's more than worthy of this life, because this is the life he wants her to have, because he loves her more than anything in the entire world. "That couldn't be further from the truth Alex, because this is the life I want you to have, because I love you and you're the only woman I could've ever seen myself being married to." Alex smiled as she agreed with her husband. "I just hope you know that I'm trying my best to make you proud." Jay was surprised when he heard Alex say that.

However, he decided that he wasn't going to address that statement yet. "Ok. We're going to talk about that when I'm back, or when we're done lunch. Whenever we do it, just know that we're going to take it easy with each other. I hate the sound of what you just said, because I want you to clear the record and make sure that you know the truth." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, well aware that was the case. "Listen, just go make us some lunch. Then, we can talk as you hold me in your arms and cuddle up to me." Jay agreed with the woman he loves, prior to leaning in and taking things nice and slow with his wife. "I love you, and I'm glad that we're married. Now, listen…I need to go get you some food, while I also put Bobby out. And if I put Bobby out, then hopefully he won't need to disturb us. He'll just let us spend some quality time with each other, as we take it easy and talk to each other, which is what we need to do right now." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, more than ready to just hold her husband close as they take it nice and easy with each other. "Then, how about you go get us some lunch and I'll wait for you?" Jay agreed and did just that.

Making his way back into their room after getting their lunch, Jay smiled as he looked at the woman he loves as she just sat in bed and watched a movie this afternoon; a movie with one of her favorite Hallmark actresses. "You happy to watch this movie?" Turning her head when she heard Jay come in with their wraps, Alex smiled due to the fact that she's very happy. "Not as happy as I am when I have the most handsome man in the entire world in my arms. And if I could, I'd like to have that again as we eat lunch together." Jay agreed with his wife as she said that, as that's precisely what he wants to do as well: he wants to eat lunch with his wife, as they hold each other close and just concentrate on each other. After all, what's better than having him hold his gorgeous wife in his arms as they take it easy with each other. "So, are we in agreement over the fact that we're going to wait until AFTER lunch to talk about the things we already mentioned?" Alex agreed with Jay, as they most certainly have already agreed that they're going to wait until after they eat for them to talk to each other about everything they have on their minds right now. And that means that they need to talk to each other. However, they're not going to talk yet. "I'm going to keep my sweats on for now, change later after you get some rest."

Alex agreed with her husband, as that's something she can understand; especially since she knows that she may not be able to let him leave after they eat if he was just wearing his boxers. "I think we both know that I would've had some trouble letting you leave if you took them off before lunch." Jay snickered as he heard Alex say that, well aware that was the case as he made his way over to their bed. "Here, let me set the plate down, we can eat, then we can take it easy with each other and just enjoy a nice meal with each other; then I'll put the plate away and come back to talk with us both in the comfort of our bed." Alex smirked as she slipped over in bed, agreeing with her husband as that's precisely what she wants: to cuddle up to the man she loves (and missed) when they're done having lunch and cuddling up to each other here in bed; she just hoped that (if she flirted with him for a moment), she could convince him to do it in boxers.
