A/N: Here is Chapter 18!
It was a beautiful day in the city of Oreburgh. The sun was shining above the beautiful city. There wasn't a cloud in the sky. And the sun was piercing through, illuminating the beautiful trees and city. There was also some smoke that was coming from homes and buildings. As we look closer, flames engulfed some buildings… due to the Mooks. Ferro Fett decided with everything happening, to launch an unannounced full-scale invasion. The Mooks were slicing through things, breaking through buildings and incinerating the area. As the flames continued to rupture, people started screaming as they began to evacuate the city. While the people were running away, Leona and the others were running toward the opposite direction.
As they reached the center of town, streams of fireballs started exploding the city. The rangers landed on the ground as they try to avoid what was going on. Leona looked up as she reached for her Dino Com, "Do you see what's going on?"
"I am trying to figure out the location of the source," Kyland said over the intercom.
"Why can't you just come down and help us?" asked Mack, looking at his Dino Com.
"Well, if this meteor strike wasn't so random, it would be easy. But, someone has to be here to track the source," said Kyland, over the intercom.
"Look out!"
Mack looked up as one of the Mooks went to slug him. Mack blocked the attack and used a spinning hook kick, knocking him down. However, upon impact, he felt like something blocked him from kicking. As he turned around, he looked at the Mooks. The Mooks had some greyish-green armor that was still there, "These guys are tougher than normal."
Joe turned around as he kicked three of them in the face. Thinking it was easy, he turned around as he used his Fossil Blaster, shooting the three of them. It took multiple shots to pierce through the armor. Joe turned around as he looked at him. From his expression and pain, it looked like Mack was right about the Mooks being tough.
Atticus grabbed one of them and threw the Mook into a pile. As the Mook landed, everything clashed. He looked over as he started to crack his upper back, "Ugh… those creatures are heavier than normal!"
Grayson turned around, slashing each Mook. He had to slash multiple times after he looked at the armor. He turned around as he revealed his Fossil Charger, pressing it. A green aura surrounded his Fossil Saber as he slashed a few of them. He turned around as he looked at the others, "It seems single slashes and blasters won't work as much."
"Great," said Lisa, "Just what we…. LEONA, LOOK OUT!"
Leona looked up as she noticed the fireball coming down. An explosion appeared as Leona flipped toward a building, breaking the glass as she landed inside. Lisa dashed through as she went to go check in on her. The other rangers were struggling.
Dino Paradise…
Drake, Roark and Kyland were sitting around as they were on the laptops. As Kyland was figuring out the sequence, the screen started beeping. He turned around as he looked at the screen, the screen was showing a red circle and a heat signature, emanating on top of Mt. Coronet.
"I think we found our source," said Kyland, grabbing his Fossil Blaster, "I'm heading over there."
Heading over toward the Fossil Charger station, he grabbed his Omastar Chargers and stretched his hand, to pick up his aqua crystal, only to see someone grab the grey chargers next to him. He turned around, noticing the number 8 on them. He stood in shock as Thomas stood there with a grin.
"… How did you get in here?" asked Kyland.
Thomas grinned as he picked up his Fossil Blaster, "I told you that I wanted to be on your team, now I get my chance."
"Drake, this has to be a joke," said Kyland, turning to Drake. Drake shook his head as he walked over, "It's no joke. We will explain later. Right now, I need you guys to head to the source."
Kyland nodded as he turned to Thomas, "Let's go, Rookie."
"Speak for yourself," Thomas said as he dashed over toward the exit.
Chapter 18: Rise of a New Ranger
The rangers landed on the ground as they were bombarded by fireballs and explosions. The Mooks were laughing as they were raised their weapons. Leona turned around as she looked at them, "Let's give them a taste of our own weaponry! Let's Poké Battle!"
"Fossil Charger, energize!"
Activating their Fossil Chargers, the rangers did a little dance with their morphers. Inserting the Fossil Chargers in their morphers, the rangers held up their weapons.
Tyrnatrum, Energize!
Armaldo, Energize!
Carracosta, Energize!
Kabutops, Energize!
Bastiodon, Energize!
Spinning the Fossil Blasters and Mack pulling the trigger on his morpher, the rangers stretched their weapons to the sky, "Unleash the Power!"
Bursts of red, black, blue, green, pink and gold energy shot out as their Prehistoric Pokémon transformed into their suits.
"Everyone, attack together!" said Leona.
"Right!" shouted the rangers, "Fossil Chargers, Energize!"
"Aerodactyl Charger, Energize!"
The Fossil Chargers were placed in their weapons. A golden aura surrounded the Golden Amber Saber as Mack swung it around. The others spun their blasters as their ranger colors began to charge. All six went in for the strike, "Fossil Blast!"
"Thunder Fang Slash!"
Five super charged beams and an electric charged into one energy blast as the pile of Mooks were hit by the attack. Explosions surrounded them as the rangers took a huge breath.
"So tough," said Leona, looking at the others, "And look what they did to the city!"
The rangers were surprised by how much extensive damage was done in Oreburgh City. Half of the city was burned down and fire departments were called in to take care of the damage. Leona turned around as she looked at the team, "We need to search to make sure everybody is safe."
"Right!" said the others.
"Guys!"
The rangers turned around as Kyland was dashing toward them. Leona walked over as Kyland dashed straight over, "We're not done yet!"
"What do you mean we're not done?" asked Leona, "The Mooks are gone and the meteors have been-."
Suddenly, a red beam of energy pierced through the sky as something huge crash landed in the center. The rangers turned around as they noticed a creature
"He was on Mt. Coronet bombing Oreburgh City…" Kyland said, "Granted I did have help."
"Yeah, you did and now I am going to pulverize you. What do you think of the Super Mooks, rangers? My name is Lieutenant Commander Metagar. I have been sent from Ferro Fett's superior to finish you… actually, I was requested."
"… So, this is not Ferro Fett's doing. It's Gircannon this time," said Leona, "Of course, because Ferro Fett can't do it himself. Looks like we are going to have to mess with him, just like the Mooks. Rangers, get ready!"
Kyland went to say something, but it was already too late. The five rangers placed their Fossil Blasters, aiming at Metagar. Releasing the attack, five beams of energy swirled as it went toward the creature. Metagar opened its body as the swirl in his chest, opened, sucking the energy. The rangers stood in shock as Metagar began to charge. Red and orange bolts surrounded them as he stretched his arms, "Meteor Cannon, fire!"
Opening his chest, a blast of red and orange beams struck out. The rangers got out of the way as the blast leveled three blocks of the city. Joe turned around as he looked at them, "We can't just sit here! Dino Armor, engage!"
"I agree!" said Grayson, "Dino Armor, engage!"
As their armor appeared with their weapons, Joe and Grayson used their individual weapons. Grayson was hit as he was slashed by the creature. Joe went to shoot, only to get pulverized. Joe was slammed as he landed on the ground. Crawling, Joe was then kicked in the face. Laughing, Joe turned around as he took out his orange charger, "Relic Claws, Energize!"
Pressing the button, an orange glow surrounded his hands as the Relic Claws arrived. An orange energy beam surrounded Joe as he began to spin, "High Horsepower!"
Immediately, the chest armor opened as Joe's energy was siphoned through Metagar. Metagar opened his chest as he released it. Joe yelled as sparks surrounded him, throwing his Relic Claws in the air, landing on the ground. Immediately, Lisa, Atticus, Mack and Grayson went at him with their weapons.
"Thunder Fang Slash!"
"Kabutops Slash!"
"Razor Shell!"
"Drill Run!"
The chest armor opened, absorbing their power and reflecting back. Golden, green, blue and pink electric bolts surrounded them as the rangers landed on the ground. Kyland turned around to them as he went to Leona, "Leona, I tried this already. We need to retreat."
"You can Kyland, but I am not going to sit and watch," said Leona.
"Leona, no attack will work!" Kyland stated.
"Rangers, Dino Spiker!" shouted Leona.
"Dino Spiker, Energize!"
As Leona pressed it, she threw the charger in the air. The weapons were thrown up in the air as well. The Tyrantrum Fang stood as the base. The Carracosta Shield was placed on top of the Tyrantrum Fang. The Armaldo Claw and Kabutos Slasher connected to either side of the blaster. The Basitodon Drill connected to the end. The Dino Spiker charger went inside the front of the blaster. A golden energy surge surrounded it as Leona grabbed it.
"Dino Spiker, Horn Drill!"
As the spiker was thrown, it turned into a horn as it started spinning. Tyrantrum, Armaldo, Carracosta, Kabutops and Bastiodon emerged as it was heading toward the monster. Immediately, Metagar absorbed its energy and then within seconds, released it. Auras of their ranger colors erupted as explosions surrounded them. The rangers flew up in the air, landing on the ground. Flashes of colorful lights surrounded them as their uniforms disappeared. Kyland crawled over as he looked over at them, getting up carefully.
"It will absorb any attack…," said Kyland, "And relinquish it twice the power."
"Well, then how did you get it here?" asked Joe, coughing as he tried to get up.
Kyland turned around, noticing a silhouette of a ranger walking toward them, "Him!"
The other rangers stood in awe as they noticed someone walking toward them. Leona couldn't believe it. The rangers were also surprised as he walked closer. The unknown entity stepped toward them as he looked at Metagar.
As the lights were revealed, the rangers noticed that he was wearing a similar ranger costume to theirs, except it was grey. He also had a helmet that was shaped like a Rampardos as his Fossil Blaster was attached to his side.
"You sent me down here!" he shouted.
"And I'll do more than that!"
Immediately, the ranger revealed himself, "Rampardos! Dino Charge Grey!"
Metagar opened its mouth, releasing the previous attack from the Dino Spiker. Immediately, the grey ranger stepped forward as he released his right hand. A blue aura surrounded it as the blast was frozen. Opening his eyes, the grey ranger stretched it out as the creature was hit. Immediately, the ranger jumped up as he used his Fossil Blaster, shooting the creature down. Turning around, Metagar went to strike physically. The ranger dodged all of his moves and then smashed him with his head. Immediately, a grey aura surrounded his Fossil Blaster as he went to use his Fossil Charger.
"Rampardos Blast!"
Pulling the trigger and spinning the blaster, Rampardos dashed out as Metagar was hit. Explosions surrounded him as he turned to him.
"You're lucky rangers… I'll be back!"
Flames surrounded him as he disappeared. The rangers walked over as they turned to see the grey ranger.
"Thanks for your help!" said Leona, "I guess we were toast without you."
Kyland grumbled as he turned to the others. He looked at the grey ranger as Kyland responded to him without a problem, "We should probably head to Dino Paradise. I think we need to meet our friend."
Dino Paradise…
The rangers walked over toward their Fossil Charge stations, placing all of the Fossil Chargers in their slots and their crystals. All three of their chargers were out of power as the rangers were sitting down with Kyland. Kyland turned around as he noticed the grey ranger placing two of his chargers down. The rangers turned to see the grey ranger open the Fossil Blaster, pulling the grey charger and placing it on the port. A grey aura surrounded him as the rangers stood in awe.
"Thomas!?" asked Joe, "What the-?"
"Exactly my thoughts," Kyland responded, looking at Thomas.
"That's Prince Thomas to you, Cartwright," Thomas replied.
Thomas placed his Energy Crystal in the middle slot. So far, on one Fossil Station, Dino Chargers 1 through 5 were full of energy crystals. The other fossil station had Mack, Kyland and Thomas's crystals charging their own, leaving two empty ports. Drake walked over as he turned to the team before things got a little rowdy.
"Before you argue. Please understand that it wasn't our decision to choose Thomas. Rampardos did," he said.
"But, why him?" asked Lisa, "No offense to your highness, but we don't need royalty in our team. He showed himself to be a very prideful man a few days ago."
Thomas looked down as he turned to the pink ranger, who was calling him out. Kyland turned around as he looked at Lisa, "Well, I don't want to bash but if it wasn't for Thomas and his powers, he would have burned the whole city down."
"Wait, you used Aura Power to throw him down in Oreburgh City?" Joe asked.
"Remember that I am the Prince of the Lucario Kingdom," Thomas replied.
"Yeah?! And last time I checked, rangers can't have two different superpowers," said Leona.
Joe looked at Leona as he nudged her, "Actually, that's kind of false."
Leona, already angry at Joe, turned around as she looked at Thomas, "Well, regardless… I just can't believe you were chosen."
Atticus raised an eyebrow as he got up to look at the grey ranger. He stretched out his hand toward him. The rangers stood there surprised as Thomas looked at him, looking at his right hand.
"Either way, you did save us from Metagar… thank you!" said Atticus.
Thomas grinned as he shook his hand, "You're welcome."
He walked over toward the front of Dino Paradise as he went to continue to speak, "Rangers, Drake and I had a discussion the other day. We learned that Ferro Fett and Gircannon are possibly starting their next move on the front."
"Next move?" asked Leona, "What move?"
"Well, with eight Energy Crystals in our possession," said Drake, "It's only a matter of time until Ferro Fett and Gircannon unleash their weapons on us. What we just witnessed was only a taste of power. Remember when Gircannon was able to rip through the Distortion World to send out Aerodactyl? He and Ferro Fett's henchmen were also responsible for destroying the zords in the Hoenn Region and it wouldn't be a surprise if he knew how to do it on our turf."
"But our zords are living Pokémon, they aren't scrap metal," said Lisa.
"Either way," said Drake, "Gircannon will find a way to destroy us. Ferro Fett is hell bent on getting the crystals to Gircannon from what I can gather. That is why we MUST act fast."
"Okay," said Grayson, looking up as he turned to the grey ranger, "What do we need to do?"
"All of you are going on a special training exercise with Thomas. Thomas is going to teach you some ways that you can work together better as a team. It will be split into two groups. Leona, Joe, Atticus, Grayson and Lisa will go through a special training exercise. Mackenzie, Kyland will learn through Thomas on special moves. Take this seriously, rangers. What you just witnessed could happen again and we can't afford to lose the Sinnoh Region," said Drake, looking at his Dino Com, "Also, Roark?"
Roark turned around as he looked at Drake. Drake nodded as he turned to him, "Go check on the others in your city."
"Yeah, I am sure dad, and the other Gym Leaders are kind of curious to know what happened in Oreburgh. Cynthia has also been trying to call. It's been crazy," said Roark, turning to the others, "Good luck rangers."
Meanwhile, on Ferro Fett's Ship…
"You did well, Metagar!" shouted Ferro Fett.
He spun around his chair as he looked at the viewing screen. He was amazed to see Oreburgh City, Route 207 and some of the Oreburgh Gate on fire. Fire crews were trying to repair the damage or start repairing the damage that was recollected. He turned around as he snapped his fingers, "Thanks to my boss, you were able to send a message. The rangers will have to surrender now."
"Well, there is a hiccup. The Grey Crystal was given to someone with powers beyond belief," he said, "He threw me down and I couldn't absorb it."
Shockhound turned around as he looked at him, "That Lucarian Prince… It has to be!"
"You know something about this?" asked Ferro Fett.
"Well, that's how my plan failed last time. That prince must've bonded with the crystal. The other rangers are ordinary humans. That man is not!" Shockhound explained.
"So, what do we do then?" asked Maracturne, looking at both of them, "We need to grab their crystals and destroy them?"
Ferro Fett turned around as he scratched his chin, "We should probably target another area… Oreburgh City is pretty much down for the count."
"Well," said Shockhound, turning to Maracturne. Maracturne nodded as he looked at Ferro Fett, "What if we attack Veilstone City? It's near Lake Valor. And if I am not mistaken, that's where he resides."
"Perfect," said Ferro Fett, sitting down as he was looking at his map, "Metagar, go!"
As Metagar went to walk, Shockhound turned around as he looked at Ferro Fett, "Permission to join him?"
"Granted."
Shockhound slowly nodded as he followed Metagar. Shockhound laughed as he closed the door behind him. Maracturne turned around as he noticed Ferro Fett walking toward the screen, "Just watch, Maracturne. If we can't get them from the rangers, we'll burn everything to the ground."
"That's the point!" shouted Maracturne, grinning in response.
Meanwhile…
A red and black car drove up from the distance, pulling up to the silver gates. As the gates opened, the car drove up the hill, heading to Thomas's mansion. The white and grey mansion that was placed on the hill with a giant Lucario on top made it stood out, was glowing with the sunlight in the background. Some of the security was upgraded since his last encounter with Shockhound. The red and black car was just big enough to fit all 8 of them as they pulled into the driveway. As the garage opened, Thomas and the others got out of the car as he reached for his keys. He used his palm to release a blue beam of light. The car was pushed into the garage as he closed the door… all with his hand. The rangers were impressed as he walked into the front door, disabling the security system.
Upon walking into the hall, the rangers were amazed as Thomas led them down the stairs. As they were going down the grey and black stairs, they noticed a hallway with lights on top as they arrived at a room. In the rooms, there were three different portals. The rangers were amazed as they were looking at the portals. They have been running for a good 24 hours according to a device his Lucario robots made.
"What are these?" asked Joe, looking at Thomas. Thomas turned around as he looked at them, "This is your training."
"Training?" asked Lisa, "We don't even know where they end up."
"Using your Fossil Chargers, I was able to use my powers and Lucario to create Aura Arenas. An Aura Arena is when you teleport to a certain spot. However, because of how advanced you are… I used 5 different areas of Sinnoh for your training. Your goal is to make it through the area and defeat my Lucario robots. If you can destroy my Lucarios, you will be able to return to the present."
"Your robots are easy to fight," said Kyland.
"Is that so?" asked Thomas, "The way of the Lucario is not easy. And you will see in our training."
"Our training?" asked Kyland.
"Your Lucario partner will be there to train you," said Thomas, turning to the rangers. The five rangers walked toward each of the portals. Gulping, Grayson jumped in first to the portal. As his whole body went in, the portal disappeared. Next, Lisa jumped into her portal, following the same suit. Then, Atticus, followed by Joe. Leona turned around as she looked at Thomas, "I hope you know what you are doing."
As she jumped into the portal, all of them disappeared. Kyland and Mack turned to each other as Thomas turned around. Following Thomas, Kyland and Mack looked at each other as Thomas took out what looked like blue boxing gloves with a black ring around each glove. White spikes protruded out of the gloves.
"The Rampardos Gloves?" asked Kyland.
"Crafted from the Dino Armor," said Thomas, slipping them on, "Weapons, please?"
Kyland and Mack darted their eyes as they looked at each other. Mack and Kyland nodded as they pressed their Fossil Chargers into their morphers. Mack stretched out his hand as a golden aura surrounded it, revealing the Golden Amber Saber. Kyland dragged his blaster along his right shoulder, revealing his silver armor. His Omastar Cannon appeared as they walked outside. Thomas walked toward the backyard as he got into a fighting stance.
"Show me what you got," he said.
"He's kidding, right?" asked Kyland, nervous as he was looking at Thomas. Thomas threw his fist into the ground, causing a tremor. Kyland fell on the ground as he went to use his cannon. Releasing an aqua spike, Thomas used his fist to block it.
"I guess he's not joking," said Mack, drawing his saber, "Let's go, rookie."
Meanwhile…
Grayson fell on the grass, rolling along the area as he looked around. He turned around as he saw the tall trees. He turned around as he grabbed his Fossil Saber. Turning around, Grayson noticed a Lucario, walking over toward him. Grayson gulped as he looked at the robotic Lucario.
"Welcome, Grayson Hiruma… your training exercise starts now!"
Grayson turned around as he tightened the grip on his Fossil Saber, "Bring it on!"
Lucario began to glow in a blue aura as it jumped. The robot released a shockwave pulse as Grayson landed on the ground. As Grayson landed on his back, the robot went to punch Grayson. Grayson rolled over, missing the attack. Grayson used a spinning hook kick to knock the robot off balance, only for Lucario to release a blue aura of energy. Every ounce of muscles in Grayson's body cringed as he tried to strike.
"Ugh…," he said.
The Lucario through Grayson across. Grayson yelled as he was thrown to a tree, smacking his head into the ground. Grayson grumbled as he picked up his saber. A green aura surrounded his saber as he went to strike Lucario. The robot began to charge a blue energy beam as it used its fists on the floor, releasing some gravity. Grayson started to bounce back and forth as he landed on the ground.
"This is going to be tough…," said Grayson to himself.
In Area 2…
Lisa had her Fossil Blaster in her hand, looking around trying to find the Lucario Robot. As she was climbing up the mountains, she felt her eyes go heavy. Pink waves were surrounding her as she tried to fight back. She knelt as she laid her head on the cold mountain. She tried to get up, but the power was too much.
"This is so… tiring," Lisa said to herself, trying to get up, feeling the waves.
In Area 3…
Atticus was walking around the mountains, looking around trying to find the Lucario Robot. He spun around as he went to use his Fossil Blaster. There was no one in sight. Scratching his head, Atticus was walking backwards as he was looking at the mountain range. He looked left and right, looking for it. As he leaned against the wall, a pink aura surrounded him as his eyes began to glow bright pink. He smiled as he was looking around, noticing a young woman silhouette.
"So, this is what it means to be lovestruck," he said, grinning as he knelt down, looking at her.
Little did Atticus know that he was infatuated with something in a dream. The Lucario Robot was laughing as it was watching Atticus stare at it. The Lucario Robot shook its head as it looked at him.
Area 4…
"There's too much smoke!"
Joe crouched down as he saw the thick black smoke circulating around a volcano. As he knelt down, he was trying to breathe. He turned around as he went to reach for a charger. He looked up, realizing that he was unable to call a new Fossil Charger. He turned around as he tried to shoot, only for the Lucario Robot to be somewhere within the smoke. Joe slumped down as he was trying to find his breath.
Area 5…
BOOM!
Leona flipped forward as she dodged the attacks from the Lucario Robot. As she used her blaster, beams erupted as the robot released a barrier, blocking it. Reflecting the attack back, Leona was hit as she landed on the dirt. Leona was in the middle of a snowbank, so the only thing that she was affected by was the intense cold weather that was happening to her. She turned around as she went to strike again. The Lucario Robot dodged back and forth, using its fist to clobber. As the fist went on impact, Leona was hit as she landed on the ground. Leona turned around as she tried to get up.
"I'm… not… done!"
Meanwhile…
Using the Rampardos Gloves, Thomas thrust them down to the ground, creating a strike. Kyland dodged the crack that was forming from his fists and went to use his Omastar Cannon. Pulling the trigger, steel spikes emerged. Thomas looked up, blocking the cannon attack. He then blocked the saber attack from Mack. Pushing him away, Mack fell back as Thomas swung with his gloves. Mack blocked it with his saber. Thomas and Mack fought back and forth with the attack. Mack's energy began to glow in a bright golden aura as Thomas's inner aura began to glow. Pushing away with his feet, Thomas stumbled as Mack withdrew his Golden Amber Saber. Thomas channeled his inner fists as a blue aura surrounded his fists. A black and blue mystifying beam formed as he released it. Without hesitation, Mack used his saber to block the attack. Black and blue bolts surrounded it as the saber began to glow. A golden aura surrounded it as he struck it high. Immediately, a barrel of rocks emerged around Thomas. Thomas turned around as he went to use his fists only for Kyland to release spikes from his cannon, hitting the stones. The stones turned into sharp edges as it headed straight for Thomas. Thomas tried to block them all, but one edged into his shoulder. Wincing in pain, explosions surrounded him as Thomas landed on the ground. Kyland and Thomas looked at each other as they gave a high five. Thomas carefully got up as he looked at them. Stretching his hand, the others were confused, but decided to shake hands with him.
"Nicely done, you two," said Thomas, "It seems the Poké Rangers powers really channel well with you."
"We weren't expecting that from you either, Thomas," said Kyland, looking at Mack, "We all have a lot to learn."
"That is true," said Mack, looking at Kyland as he turned to Thomas, "So, our other friends…"
"Oh yes… I dispersed my robots throughout the whole Sinnoh Region. If they complete their training, they will teleport back here to the lakefront. To make things intense, I borrowed your Fossil Chargers and each robot uses a different type of attack. They need to think on their feet."
"Interesting," said Mack, looking at the Fossil Chargers. Before he could add on, the sound of the Dino Coms were ringing. Mack quickly pressed the button, hearing Roark in a panic.
"Hey guys… it looks like we have Metagar back… and he's not happy," said Roark.
"He already burned Oreburgh City. There's next to nothing there," said Kyland.
"I didn't finish," Roark replied, "I just got a call from Maylene just before the alarms went off here. Metagar and the Mooks are somehow in Veilstone City."
"What would they want in Veilstone?" asked Kyland, confused.
"I don't know, but get there, fast," said Roark, hanging up the communication. Thomas turned around as he looked at his screens, "I will make sure the others get back safe. Once I get some of them out, I will join you. Stall him if you can."
"Don't worry, that's the plan," said Mack, turning to Kyland. The aqua ranger reluctantly nodded as they started to head for the exit, knowing Veilstone City would be finished in minutes if those two don't go over there to stop Metagar's destruction.
Later that day…
Veilstone City, the largest city carved out in the mountains, saw its last day of entertainment. Metagar walked into the center of the city as he was looking at the burned buildings. Laughing, he turned around as he went to release another meteor shower wave. This time, the meteor wave hit the area, causing explosions. Metagar turned around as he snapped his finger, with Mooks running around. As the Mooks were breaking into things and destroying them, a female trainer stood in the center as she watched the Mooks burn the city down. She had pink hair down to her neck that went out with a black and blue sleeveless shirt. She also had white sweatpants with a pink stripe on both sides. She had black gloves as well. She also had a bandage on her nose, turning to the Mooks. Her Lucario and Medicham stood on either side of her.
"Let's give these creatures a taste of our own medicine!" she shouted.
"Medi…cham!"
"Lucario!"
As the Mooks went to strike, Medicham jumped up as she used her foot. Using a High Jump Kick, the group of Mooks went down like dominos. Medicham turned around as the Mooks struck her. Medicham screamed as she landed on the ground. Medicham's eyes began to glow in a blue aura as the Mooks were frozen. Maylene's Lucario turned around as he released a blue sphere of energy. The sphere pierced the Mooks as they landed on the ground. Maylene turned around as she went to kick a few of them in the stomach. As the creatures landed on the ground, Metagar released a meteor strike. As Maylene saw the attack coming, the meteor was frozen as it exploded into pieces. Maylene turned around as she looked around at Thomas, Kyland and Mack, who had their weapons out.
"Maylene, just get the others out of here," said Thomas.
"Thank you!" Maylene responded. She turned around as she recalled Lucario and Medicham. Metagar walked over as he stretched out his claws, "You dare fight me again? Where's the rest of your posse?"
"That's for us to know and for you to find out," said Mack.
"Let's handle him together, compadres!" Kyland shouted.
Thomas nodded as he stretched out his Fossil Charger, "Just like we trained… let's do it team!"
"Fossil Charger, Energize!"
Flashes of gold, aqua and grey energy surrounded their Energy Crystals as they transferred the power to the Fossil Chargers. Activating their morphers, the rangers did their dance as they turned around to place the chargers in their morphers.
Aerodactyl, Energize!
Omastar, Energize!
Rampardos, Energize!
Mack pulled the lever on his morpher while Kyland and Thomas spun their blasters, "Unleash the Power!"
Golden, aqua and grey energy surrounded them as they transformed into their suits.
"Aerodactyl! Dino Charge Gold!"
"Omastar! Dino Charge Aqua!"
"Rampardos! Dino Charge Grey!"
Metagar released an explosion of flames. The three rangers dodged the attack as they headed toward the creature. Metagar grinned as he went toward them, "Fine, you three are my opponents!"
Meanwhile, in Area 1…
Grayson was dodging the attacks from the Lucario Robot. As it kept shooting down, Grayson blocked it with his saber. Performing a shoulder roll, Grayson noticed that he was bouncing up and down. He then noticed something interesting as he saw the Lucario Robot piercing his eyes. Scratching his chin, Grayson nodded as he grabbed his saber. Jumping up onto a tree that was nearby, Grayson quickly climbed up as he walked on to the edge of the branch. As the Lucario Robot released an attack, Grayson jumped up as the branch exploded underneath his feet. A green aura surrounded the Fossil Saber as he cut across. Striking the robot, the Lucario Robot started to fall toward the ground. Crashing upon impact, Grayson released a green aura from his Fossil Saber.
"Fossil Slash!"
A green line of energy hit the robot's power source. A blue aura surrounded the robot as Grayson landed on the ground, breathing heavily. Grayson took a deep breath as he looked at the robot.
"Congratulations, you pass!"
Meanwhile, in Area 2…
"Come on, Lisa… fight!" she said to herself. Closing her eyes, she began to feel the sleepiness of her body. She turned around as she dodged the attack. She turned around as she headed toward an area. She opened her eyes as she began to think. She then turned around as she opened her eyes, "Hypnosis!"
She turned around as she took out her Fossil Blaster, shooting one of the eyes of the Lucario Robot. The robot screamed as its eye exploded. Lisa turned around as she flipped forward, shooting the robot in the chest. As the robot exploded, Lisa turned around as she landed on the ground, looking at her blaster.
"Congratulations, you pass!"
In Area 3…
Atticus was walking around as he was looking happy. As he turned around, the Lucario Robot punched him in the stomach. Atticus's face was still filled with happiness as he was getting pummeled. Atticus turned around as he looked up, noticing something strange. Seeing pink hearts around his eyes. He shook his head as he grabbed the Lucario Robot by the arms. Throwing him to the ground, Atticus used his Fossil Blaster and pulled the trigger. Pulling the trigger, blue bolts shot out as the robot malfunctioned. He turned around as he shook his head.
"Using Attract… really?" he asked.
"Congratulations, you pass!"
In Area 4…
Inhaling the Poison Gas, Joe turned around as he coughed all the way toward a few canisters. Joe gulped as he turned around noticing the smoke filling the area. The Lucario Robot was floating toward him as he kept inhaling. He also knew that shooting the canisters would cause a chain reaction. Looking up, he noticed the mountaintop of the volcano. Quickly, jumped toward the base of the mountain and started heading toward the top. The Lucario Robot started to stretch its hands, grabbing Joe from escaping. As Joe was caught, he turned around as he saw the canister. Taking a breath, he used his Fossil Blaster at long range. Pulling the trigger, the canister erupted. Explosions surrounded the gas and the Lucario Robot. Joe quickly escaped the flames as he landed near the magma crater. As his body touched the edge, he noticed the magma near his face as he looked up. Getting up, he looked over as he saw the explosion of the volcanic area.
"Whoa!" he said, taking a deep breath.
"Congratulations, you pass!"
A bright white light surrounded him, enveloping him as he teleported. Joe turned around as he was teleporting through a rift. A flash of blue light appeared in front of him as he saw Thomas's living room. Joe crash landed on the ground as he looked around. Instantly, flashes of light appeared in three different places. Grayson, Lisa and Atticus arrived, rolling on the ground.
"Wow…," said Grayson, "That was some intense training!"
"You're telling me," said Lisa, "I was almost sleeping."
"I was attracted by a Lucario… I thought it was a girl for a sec," said Atticus, laughing and chuckling.
"At least you didn't blow yourself up in a volcano," Joe said, turning to the others, "Thomas has some explaining to do."
"Well…," said Lisa, looking at the television. She turned around noticing the red news headlines on the screen, "Looks like that will have to wait!"
"Metagar destroying Eastern Sinnoh now," said Joe, turning to the others, "He doesn't know when to quit. Let's go team!"
Meanwhile…
Mack and Kyland slashed through the rest of the Mooks within seconds. Kyland withdrew his Fossil Saber as he went to strike Metagar. Metagar threw a punch at Kyland, only for Kyland to block it. Mack swung his saber, striking Metagar's stomach. Metagar turned around as he released his Meteor Cannon. As meteors were launched, black beams were struck as the meteors erupted. Turning around, Metagar stood in shock as Joe had his Armaldo Blaster in his hand.
"Joe!" shouted Kyland, "You completed your training."
"And now… time for something completely different," said Joe. Metagar laughed as he looked at the other rangers, "I see you're missing one… no big deal. I will finish you off."
Thomas stood there silently, watching as the other rangers arrived. Metagar released a stream of meteors. Grayson stood in front of them as he released a navy blue Fossil Charger, labeled number 20, "Bounce, Energize!"
Pressing the Fossil Charger and placing it in the blaster, he quickly spun the blaster. He shot the ground as the four rangers jumped up, dodging the attack. Lisa jumped up as she then took out her pink Fossil Charger, "Hypnosis, Energize!"
Pink waves of energy struck out the Fossil Blaster. Metagar started to stumble. As he tried to strike Atticus, Atticus ducked as he turned around to use a lavender charger, "Attract, Energize!"
Placing it in his blaster, Metagar began to glow in a pink aura. Metagar's eyes turned into hearts as he turned around to see something inanimate. Grinning, he walked over as he was distracted. He then shook it off as he turned to Atticus, "You can't make me fall in love…. Fire Punch!"
As his fist went to strike, a blast of green gas surrounded him. Explosions surrounded Metagar as he landed on the ground. Smacking his head to the ground, Metagar turned around as Joe released his Poison Gas Charger. Stumbling, he turned around as Joe released an orange charger.
"Relic Claws, Energize!"
Pressing the button, an orange glow surrounded his hands as the Relic Claws arrived. The Relic Claws began to energize through Joe as a purple aura surrounded the energy field. Joe stood in front, "Let's finish them together!"
"Right!" shouted Kyland and Mack.
Joe threw his Armaldo Blaster to Atticus. Immediately, Atticus and the others combined the Armaldo Blaster, Carracosta Shield, Kabutops Slasher and Bastiodon Drill. Combining, the four turned into a spike.
"Quadruple Dino Spiker!" Atticus shouted.
Using the Omastar Cannon, Kyland connected it to the Golden Amber Saber. He placed the nozzle on top of the blade and the cannon part on the bottom of the hilt. An aqua aura surrounded it with golden lightning bolts.
"Crush Claw!" shouted Joe.
"Drill Run!" shouted Atticus.
"Zap Cannon!" shouted Mack.
A black and purple aura surrounded Joe as he dug straight toward Metagar. Metagar screamed as he was hit by the attack. Atticus dug through with the Quadruple Dino Spiker. Finally, a yellow and green aura filled with electricity spun around as he was hit. Metagar screamed as he fell to his knees, exploding. Thomas turned around as he stood there in surprise. He was clapping for them as he walked toward them.
"That was excellent, team!" said Thomas, "Definitely is worth fighting with you."
Mack turned around as he looked at Thomas, "Well, your training was helpful."
Joe grinned as he looked at Thomas, "The next time you put me in a volcano, I'm taking you with me."
Ferro Fett's Ship…
Turnchou stood there in surprise as he looked at the screen. Luckily, Ferro Fett wasn't on the bridge. Watching the battle footage, he thought it would be best to turn around and walk away. The doors opened as Maracturne turned to see the screen. Turnchou looked around as he went to walk, seeing Maracturne.
"He's going to be so mad!" shouted Maracturne.
Turnchou gulped as he tripped and fell, his hand pressing the big red M on the console. Within seconds, the Magna Beam struck down toward Veilstone City.
Down below…
The green beam struck from the sky, enveloping Metagar's corpse. Metagar began to grow ten times bigger as he stretched his arms out. Screaming, he stretched out his right hand, releasing a boulder sized version of a meteor and aimed it at the rangers. As the rangers stood there in surprise, a Tyrantrum tail swung across, knocking Metagar down. The rangers noticed the Tyrantrum Zord bashed the creature down.
"Alright, Leona!" shouted Joe.
There was no response from the Tyrantrum Zord, nor Leona. Thomas turned around as he looked at Joe, "I don't think Leona is finished with her training."
"So, Tyrantrum jumped out on its own?" asked Atticus.
Immediately, a flash of blue light surrounded them as Drake arrived. Drake had his arms crossed over as he looked at him, "Rangers, all of your zords are capable to battle. But, without Fossil Chargers, they can only battle for a limited amount of time."
"How can we form the Megazord then?" asked Lisa.
"We can't… but we can at least give him a piece of our medicine!" said Atticus.
Thomas stood in front of them as he grabbed his grey battery, "I think this new ranger needs to get some experience in… if that's okay."
"But-," said Joe, but Thomas shook his head, "You've done a lot to prove to me that fighting with you is worth it! Now, allow me to fight! Rampardos, I choose you!"
Pressing the grey battery, he threw it across. A grey aura appeared as a Rampardos landed on the ground. Screaming, Rampardos walked over toward Tyrantrum. Nodding, both zords dashed through, smacking the creature down. Metagar grumbled as he went to strike, only for Tyrantrum and Rampardos to use their tails, smacking the creature. Rampardos jumped up as it used its head. A grey aura surrounded it as Metagar flew through five buildings. Metagar grumbled as he stood there, looking tiresome.
As Rampardos roared, Giant Mooks erupted from around them. The rangers turned around as Mack looked up, "Let's do it! Aerodactyl, I choose you!"
Throwing the golden Fossil Charger, a golden aura surrounded it as the Aerodactyl Zord flew across. The Aerodactyl Zord flapped its wings, releasing a golden beam, piercing Metagar in the stomach. Immediately, Mack jumped up as he landed in the cockpit. The cockpit was bright gold on top with black and golden lights behind him. He placed his saber in the cockpit as he pressed a few buttons.
"Aerodynamic Change! Aero Amber Megazord!"
The Aerodactyl screamed as it swooped down. A golden aura surrounded the zord as it landed on the ground. The legs went from being bent to straight as the body was lifted. The wings folded into either side of its body as the body was now standing as a human body. The hands detached from the wings as golden arms grew out. The hands connected to the body as the head moved down to the chest. A human head appeared with a silver and black helmet that had an Amber Fossil on top. The head had green eyes.
"Aero Amber Megazord, Battle Ready!"
The Giant Mooks went to strike. However, Rampardos and Tyrantrum weren't going to take it. Tyrantrum charged through, striking the Giant Mooks down. Rampardos grabbed the Giant Mook with its mouth and threw it down. The Giant Mook was thrown across as both Giant Mooks were clashing. Metagar turned around as the Giant Mooks were heading toward him. Smacking into a pile, Mack grinned as he grabbed his Golden Amber Saber. The Aero Amber Megazord began to stretch its arms out as golden blades surrounded each arm. A golden aura surrounded the wings as the Megazord charged forward. Mack grabbed his Golden Amber Saber and raised it above his head.
"Sky Attack Strike!"
He went straight through Metagar's body with the Megazord. Metagar winced as blue sparks began to surround him. Explosions struck the creature as the pile erupted in flames. The rangers stood in surprise as they watched. Tyrantrum roared happily as a red aura surrounded it, disappearing.
"That was great!" said Lisa, "Goodbye Metagar!"
In a flash of golden energy, Mack jumped down as he met with the others. Thomas turned around as he looked the other way. Kyland walked over as Thomas started grumbling. Kyland, seeing right through, looked at the new ranger, "Thanks for your help!"
"No problem," he said, looking over, "I wish Leona would finish her training. I hope her test isn't too hard."
"Wait…," said Atticus, overhearing, "Leona is still in her test?'
"Yes," said Thomas, "It's harder than all of yours because she's the team leader. I hope she can fight in the snow rift and I know she can do it."
Meanwhile, in Area 5…
BOOM!
Leona screamed as she landed in the snowbank. Rolling down the hill, she turned around to see more explosions. The Lucario Robot arrived, releasing a gust of blizzard attacks. Leona froze as she was covered in the snow. The Lucario Robot released multiple aura spheres, consuming Leona in battle. Leona screamed as she fell to the ground. As she went to use both weapons, the Lucario Robot released a stream of missiles. Leona blocked them with her Fossil Saber while shooting the rest. She turned around as she went to shoot the robot again, only seeing a barrier.
"How do I get out of here? How do I pass this test?" she asked, turning around, "What do I need to do?"
She turned around, gulping as the Lucario Robot headed straight for her, with its fists. The fists began charging straight at Leona. Leona winced as she watched it getting closer and closer toward her… eventually about to use its ultimate attack.

Leona is tested by Thomas in his Lucario Test to prove her leadership to him. However, not liking this plan, the other rangers go find Leona. However, Mack is in trouble when Metagar revives. What's the plan now?

A/N: So, this was one of the most annoying chapters to write because there were so many scenes. But, I hoped you enjoyed it. Hopefully, Leona will get out of this soon. How will the rangers get her out? How will she get out? What are the plans? Guess you will have to find out next week.
