Obligatory Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or any character, story element or plot item originally published in the Harry Potter books or movies that I may refer to in this story. I'm merely playing in the sandbox.

Author's note: Welcome back, dear reader, to another of my random ideas that I don't know what else to do with.

I blame YouTube for this and a random fanfic I pulled where Harry Potter watched Naruto (it wasn't Hemmingway, but it was fun, so that's fine.) YouTube, however, has been randomly sending me videos. I know that everyone is sitting there saying "It's based on your search history." Nope, not quite. The algorithm, as any content creator on the platform will tell you, is broken. The ads I get are about dog food (I don't have a dog), dating apps (umm, no? Not even if I were widowed, dating was a dumpster fire) and video shorts…the Flash? I watched a television show in the 90s, which I have this random idea right now that maybe I've seen that Flash in something else, not sure. Anyway, watching the CGI in the modern Flash shows and started thinking about a certain scar…

Voldemort stood for a long-satisfied moment. "Dumbledore had no clue. He pinned this all on an infant. I wish I could have seen the faces of the Potters when they realized they trusted my servant with their secret." H laughed, a chilling sound to any who heard it.

The brat in front of him cried harder, calling for his mother. "I probably did that for a time, too, Potter." There was a long moment where he considered that. "It won't do you any good either. I will be immortal."

He raised his wand and aimed it at the little creature. As he cast, there was an explosion of light and sound. He felt his skin burn, his joints tear apart, and his last vision was of the roof exploding as a golden light poured into the room, striking the boy.

The strangest sensation is that he was certain he heard an unearthly chorus of voices speak a commanding "No." The implication of a deity of some kind protecting the boy, destroying his Killing Curse, and erasing him from existence like that, terrified him more than he knew how to explain. His spirit burst forth from the hole in the roof, blasted far into the distance. Not knowing what else to do, he fled to a safe haven he knew of in Europe. He needed to think of a plan for this.

Author's Note: No, it's not long. This is just a blurb of an idea that I had and wanted to get out there.

As I said, I'm vaguely aware of the Flash in modern stories. I watched the Deathmatch between him and Sonic (what a strange idea) and have seen a few short clips.

I am rather interested in the Quicksilver clips from the X-Men movies. The idea of Harry doing the run with everything in slow motion to knock out his chores so that he could read or go play or just leave the neighborhood for a long period of time made me laugh. What would he do at Hogwarts as a Speedster? Would a broom survive? Would he hide it? Blur himself to have a spell pass through him and then act like it was a miss? Attend every class Third Year like Hermione, but without a Time Turner? Ideas, ideas.
