"All right, everybody here?" Alya clapped her hands and the room fell silent. "Then let the gift opening begin!"

Once a year, some of the girls and Cat gave each other gifts, and Marinette was so happy today had finally arrived. Cat had been begging for hints the last few weeks, though she wasn't annoyed. For all he know, it was pink and it was soft.

"A Starbucks gift card!" Marinette pulled out the small card from Kagami. "Great, we can all go together!" Bottles of perfume, movie tickets, even a poster of Adrien was given as a gift, and at last Cat was handed his present. He smiled at Marinette as he took out the tissue paper.

Oh, how he loved his gift! It was a sweater, homemade and pink, and had Marinette's gold design label inside the front collar. But the best part about the gift was the caption: "Meows In French". Aw, his Princess had even put two little paw prints on.

Alya winked at Cat. "Well, good ahead and try it on, Cat." "Okay," he said, standing up and pulling it over his head. A chorus of "doesn't he look cute?" filled the air, and Marinette burst into giggles.

"Trust me, girls. He made be sweet now, but wait until you have to trim his claws!" "Princess, we don't have to give every detail, do we? Now, if you'll pardon me, I need to see if this things works!"

"Works?" Alya and Marinette asked at the same time. "Let's see if I meow in French." "Oh, this I have to film for the Lady blog."

Going up to Marinette's balcony, Cat took a deep breath and let out a meow. "How do you know the meow is French and not, let's say, American?" Cat opened his mouth then shut it. "Maybe Ladybug could tell the difference," Alya winked at Marinette.

"Ladybug?!" "Oh, she could tell for sure. After all, I heard you two are super close," Marinette tried to keep a straight face. "Back in a flash! Got to check on the cookies!"

Ha, ha, Marinette thought. The cookie bit worked every time. Soon, she was swinging onto the balcony. "Bugaboo!" Cat meowed happily, helping her down. "Do you know Marinette's bringing up cookies?" Good thing she did make a batch earlier! "Ladybug, Cat needs your help. Can you tell if his meow is French?"

"Let's hear it, Kitty." "Okay, here goes. Er, cough, ahem!" "Wow, fur ball?" Ladybug giggled. "Meow!"

"My, my, sounds French to me. Now, I have to bug out, but see you soon!" "Wait, you forget your cookie!" Cat called, but Ladybug was already gone.

"Cookies? There right here, love," Marinette said behind him, and Cat whirled to see her holding a pan of gingerbread. "Cookies!" With a happy meow, Cat bit into one happily.

Okay, maybe Cat's meow wasn't French, but it was very cute!
