Final installment of the 'Dreams' series, follows from 'Dreamers of the Day'. A coup has taken place in the Terran Empire, and power is there for whoever can seize it. Malcolm and Liz must evade the authorities if they are to make a new life for themselves; but the past is not so easily left behind...Some brief passages may qualify for an M rating but will be clearly marked.

Hoshi missed Travis' smile. It was a small bit of beauty she'd gotten to see nearly every day since they'd left the devastated Earth.

"There was a bit of a...moment when I got back to the bridge a little while ago. Nobody said anything, but I know it got noticed." Alicia Travers discovers that an end to WWII means that "Japs" are our friends now. Then, to her surprise, she finds out something else, too. Very light shipping.

They'd dropped Klaang off several hours earlier and were on their return trip to Earth. She would be able to meditate, in privacy, with her candles within another day's time, rather than needing to find a substitute aboard this cold ship crewed by such loud humans.

It was the most dramatic coffee shop she had ever set foot in.

Charles Anthony Tucker III is dead, maybe for real this time. His friends have no idea if he survived destroying Section 31, and without him reaching out to them, they will never know.
