Hello everyone,

So this is an idea I have had ever since reading Dark Bell By Azer03 on this site. Bell is 13 because he was born 5 years before Zeus and Hera set off to complete the three Great Quests.

There will be obvious similarities as I based the first portion of it. However it should become apparent that there are significant differences in the stories by the end.

I got a little more to add to this scene but I wanted to get it out because it had been bugging me as a writer.

Also A Light Amidst the Darkness will be my primary focus for a while. So please only expect infrequent updates to this one for now. I also haven't thought out the beyond this introduction. I have ideas but no set narrative yet. So it will be a while before I get to the rest of this story.

Also Let me know what you think of Bell's status.

Okay so this is my response to comments and reviews:

I fixed a few minor errors when referring to Loki in Finn's office scene. I referenced Loki as a man. Opps. My bad I was tired when I was editing the story. Those are the only updates to Chapter 1.

First thank you all for the comments and reviews. I was not expecting it to get the traction it did.

I have some general ideas of the direction that I will be be taking the story eventually. I am planning another dark world version of the Danmachi universe, however this time it will most focus on Orario (unlike A Light Amidst the Darkness which will be focusing on the world outside Orario for a while).

Bell's Status and Abilities

So I received a couple of questions about Bell's Status's in a Discord group run by IreJasmine and some of the comments here;

[Realis Phrase-Crystallization of Desires] does the same thing as in canon but now it applies to those closest to him. I am thinking of having this serve two purposes:

1) It will slightly slow Bell's growth but will still be abnormal.

2) It will enable the rest of the familia to keep up with Bell (excluding Zard and Alfia who are already level 7). This way we won't have a significant level disparity between the other familia members.

In addition, I placed the burden on the recipient so that they only receive a benefit in relation to their own desire. This will become relevant once some more members have been added.

[Inheritance of Talent] : does not grant Bell the accelerated rate of excelia accumulation. It instead grants him the ability to acquire some of Alfia's skills and abilities.

Now that being said Bell is going to have to work to earn his inheritance of these skills/abilities.

I acknowledge that I gave Bell a very OP status but he is going to have to work to make the most of his status. His status will only benefit him if he puts in the work.

Le me assure you all; Alfia is not going to be merciful in training because of his declaration of becoming the Last Hero. She will be doing this to try and protect him since she has faced the OEBD and lived. She will understand exactly how far Bell will have to go in order to fulfill his wish.

So on the Danmachi Fandom page Copying is listed under Alfia's Abilities section, however, I feel that this works as a skill as well. Hence why I put it there rather than simply giving Bell it as an ability. I also feel that having it as a skill allowed me to better define it.

Also Troopers of Kher Keep I am aware your original idea. That and Dark Bell are what I am basing this off of at least at the beginning,

Relationships: officially undecided at this point. However this either be a Harem Route or a Bell/Alise story. There aren't nearly enough Bell/Alise stories out there.

There was the suggestion of including Astrea in Bell's Harem (by RabbitHaremLover24 an excellent suggestion and one I am partial to.) but I would like to potentially suggest Astrea X Erebus.

I have yet to see this pairing. I think this might be an interesting pairing to explore. But I may also add Astrea to Bell's Harem as well if i go that route.

RabbitHaremLover24: There are reasons behind Alfia's venomous reaction to Riveria beyond just the exile order (I have several ideas).

With regards to what is going to happen in the future with Evilus, they aren't just going to disappear because Alfia and Zard are back. Alfia and Zard while they are the strongest, they are still only two people compared to when Zues and Hera had hundreds of members(I think?) to keep the peace. I also have yet to decide on proactive to make Alfia and Zard in restoring peace.

I am thinking of adding the Goddess Eris to the story. She would take over Erebus's role in cannon and become the instigator of the Great Feud or become the mastermind behind Evilus in order to push Orario forward. Or I can make her doing it for her own amusement.

For those that don't know Eris is the Greek Goddess of Strife and Discord, who's mythology includes the instigation of the Trojan War. She is also known for instigate strife for her own amusement. I feel like there would be a lot of potential for her within this story.
