No One's POV
"Loke," A voice calls, a brilliant light suddenly appearing in the dim warehouse, the Celestial Spirit Leo, having been kneeling by his Fairy Tail comrade who had been injured from the attack by the Phantom Guild.
"Princess Aurora," Loke immediately recognized the voice thought it had been three Earth Land years since he had heard it, immediately spinning around to face the intrusion, falling to his knee in a formal bow.
"Leo the Lion, Leader of the Zodiac Spirits, and defender of the Celestial Royal Family." Aurora states seriously as she stands bathed in the Celestial glow of her powers, her gown falling softly around her, and her tiara perched on her head. "Your self-imposed exile has gone on long enough… It is time to return to the Celestial World." She says somewhat impassively, noting how her old friend and guard's energy had begun to flicker and wane, it would be not much longer, and he would fade from the world forever; how had he been so careless? Had he not cared about her? About the Royal Family?
"Yes, Princess. I understand. Is everything alright?" He answers, head still bowed, but worry now begins to eat in his mind at what could possibly be occurring in the Celestial World. He should have never come to Earth Land, he should have remained by his mate's side, by his princess' side to protect her.
"For another time. I see that you are otherwise occupied." Aurora answers, her gaze landing on his injured friend.
"Princess-" He objects, for if she had come, it must be a serious matter.
"Later," She cuts off. "Your energy is also waning. You have been gone too long, Leo." Aurora's voice finally softens, her feet walking towards him, hand falling to his shoulder. "I have missed you."
"I have missed you too, Princess." Leo replies softly, letting the comforting energy of the Celestial Crown Princess wash over him, rejuvenating and comforting him.
"I am too late," Loke says with disheartenment, as he and Aurora run towards the Fairy Tail guild hall, watching it begin to crumble under the destruction of the Phantom Guild's destruction.
"You can rebuild. It is the safety of family and friends that counts." Aurora comforts, turning to smile at the Celestial Zodiac as he leads the way towards his guild, both skidding to a sudden halt in front of them.
"Loke!" A chorus of voices rang out in recognition, looks of relief in their gazes that he had not been hurt in the destruction and wake of the Phantom Lord's attack.
"Natsu and Erza are still in there. So is Lucy!" Cana relays. "Wait, where are Elfman and Mirajane?"
"What- what is this light?" One of the other guild member comments, a sudden harsh, white, beaming light beginning to project outward from the crumbling Phantom Lord guild hall. "It's so bright!"
"The Shades! Just the Shades!"
"It's Fairy Law," Erza answers, limping towards the guild, but everyone gives relieved gasps to see her, Lucy, Natsu, Elfman, and Mirajane alive. "It vanquishes darkness with sacred light. It only vanquishes what the caster acknowledges as an enemy." She explains to everyone.
"We won!" Natsu cheers after the light had dimmed and the Phantom Lord guild hall had been left broken in shambles. "We won!" He whoops with a jump, finally his exuberant cheers prompting everyone to cheer as well.
"Well done, my children." Master Makarov appears, having walked away from dealing with Jose and Aria, the last of the Elemental Four. "This battle was won, not by me, but by all of you. And I am so very proud of you." He speaks, eliciting more cheers from the guild. "And we will rebuild Fairy Tail together because it is the strength of our hearts and our will, not the guild hall that keeps us strong!"
"Yeah! Let's party!" Elfman cheers.
"Hey Lokes," Grey comments, finally realizing that Loke had arrived with another person, a rather beautiful woman, with light brunette hair, delicate features, and expressive eyes. "Who is that with you?"
"My name is-" Aurora begins to answer, only to have Loke push Aurora behind him slightly in a protective stance.
"No one, a friend. We'd love to stay, but she's tired from her trip and I'd like to spend time with her. I'll see you guys all tomorrow." Loke answers, swiftly turning from the group to pull Aurora along with him to return to his place.
"That was odd," Lucy comments to no one in particular.
"Perhaps he's eager to be alone with her," Erza comments. "He's always been a ladies' man." She shrugs, unconcerned about the mage's behavior.
"He has always gotten all the girls," Grey answers, only slightly bitter about it, as it seemed like ever since Loke became a part of the guild no one paid attention to him or any other guy; now he wasn't necessarily chomping at the bit to settle down or anything, but a girlfriend wouldn't hurt.
"Leo," Aurora questions. "Why did you not want me to introduce myself? They will find out you are a Celestial Zodiac eventually."
"Eventually they will. I know this," Loke shrugs.
"Alright," Aurora accepts the answer gracefully; after all, this was not her realm nor was it her place to question his answer, as it was not her friends. "I am sure they will be fine." She offers supportively.
"Thank you," Loke murmurs, tugging her into his embrace, practically melting into her familiar energy as they both lay on his bed together, his inner lion instinct long since buried since he had come to Earth Land.
In truth, he buried them in part because he didn't want anyone except Aurora; he had developed quite the attraction towards her as she had grown into the woman she was today. She was strong, graceful, beautiful, and overall kind and everyone in the Celestial World adored her. He was just one of the many who worshiped at her feet, one of the many who would not only pledge their life for her, but also wished to be her suitor.
He wasn't just anyone, though; he knew she was meant to be his mate. He felt it, his inner lion knew. However, just because he knew, didn't mean he would speak out about it. He was a coward. Despite being Leader of the Zodiacs, he felt wholly inadequate to be her mate. After all, who was he compared to the Celestial Crown Princess? She could have anyone. How could he ever measure up to her and ever be fit to stand beside her as her equal?
"You haven't been taking care of yourself." She scolds, hands running through his thick hair. "What if I had not needed you to return?"
"I am sorry." Loke answers, guilt in his voice at abandoning his duties for three years. "I should have returned to you sooner."
"It's in the past now." She sighs, letting him lay on her stomach, a slight purr coming from him, much like an actual lion would, and laying like that, both feel asleep.
