Important Information (To Keep In Mind):
* Not an English native, but I'll try my best.
* Not a scientist or a medical doctor, so scientific language might be short and straight forward for what I know and get mostly from the show.
* Time jumps will happen; chapters focused on certain characters, but most of them will be included in the plot.
* The plot will follow the episodes, with certain changes, new chapters will be added and mostly will follow the new character I created.
* Chapter names will be the episodes numbers, so it will help in the chronology of this thing.

Chapter 1: Episode 1x01 (Part 1)
Alexandra sat there, at a dark corner, reading, writing, translating, analyzing.
Her soundtrack was Rodney McKay and Carson Beckett discussing the Ancient chair. And that was why she had hidden from the physicist. Her Ancient gene was perfect but, for all intents and purposes, it was better for her to be on the sidelines of things than to let everyone know who and what she really was.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, Becket, that had sat on the chair, released a drone from the outpost and whoever was flying Gen. O'Neill back to it must have been a hell of a pilot since she heard that the helicopter landed safely. She smiled, imagining Jack O'Neill in a dire situation like that.
About half an hour later, Alexandra's brown eyes were drawn to Carson and a strange man. She heard the medical doctor explain to him about the chair and who the Ancients were. And, of course, the great General had to bring someone completely out of the loop into the SGC matters.
She watched the man sit at the chair in a nonchalant way, turning it on immediately, making Carson jump in surprise and ran out of the room.
"You turned it on." Alexandra took a step into the light, making herself known, amazed by what she was seeing.
Brown eyes met hazel ones.
The man watched a young woman step out of the shadows with a small smile on her lips. She looked intrigued and with a sort of light beam surrounding her.
"I guess I did. Major John Sheppard. You?" The man turned his lips into a soft smirk.
Before she could answer, Beckett appeared running, followed by Elizabeth Weir, Daniel Jackson, Rodney McKay and Jack O'Neill.
"I told you not to touch anything." O'Neill said, almost exasperated.
"I just sat down." Sheppard replied, not sure of what to do.
"Okay, Major. Think about where we are in the solar system." McKay asked, already experimenting and analyzing.
Immediately, an image of the solar system appeared above them. And Alexandra smiled genuinely for the first time in weeks.
John couldn't explain it, but there was something in that smile that made him at ease with what was going on when her eyes found his again.
"Did I do that?"
"Yes, you did, Major."
"What does that mean?" Jack turned to the scientist, curious.
"It means that Major Sheppard has a strong gene. Perhaps stronger than yours, General." She looked from the Major to the General and then to Beckett. "Dr. Beckett, it's better if you take a sample of the Major's blood." Alexandra said before leaving the room after a fast and quick glance at John Sheppard.
"She's weirder and weirder." McKay commented with a nod of his head.
"Hey!" Jack tapped his shoulder as if in a warning.
"I'm sorry, General." McKay rubbed the sore spot.
Later that day, after Beckett and McKay had taken their fill onto the Major's ability, he found himself walking around the outpost and into the mess hall, where he found the woman from earlier.
"I thought scientists liked computers." He said, looking at her notebook and pen, before his eyes landed on her upraised ones. "We weren't formally introduced."
Brown eyes looked up at the Major from behind thin glasses.
"We weren't." She remained silent, without giving away more information. That amused him.
"May I sit?" He pointed towards the empty chair in front of her. She nodded.
"And to answer your question, Major, I do like my pen. Computers are so… moody at times."
John smiled.
"You seem to know a lot about these… Ancients fellows." He noticed her lowering her eyes. He thought he said something wrong. "Not that McKay or Beckett said anything about you. They were actually pretty closed off…"
She glanced at him.
"Me and Dr. Jackson have been working on the Ancients for a few years now. And learned a lot more from this outpost in the past few months."
"I see. Is there anything I should know? I mean because of my gene…"
The curious and slightly anxious look on his eyes made her smile.
"I believe you're quite safe, Major."
"Please, call me John." He leaned forward a bit, his eyes catching the raise of her brow.
"Well, /John/, the gene allows you to use Ancient tech. Nothing more."
"No super powers?" His eagerness and almost disappointed tone at the end made her chuckle.
"Nope."
"Major Sheppard. I see you are getting acquainted with team members." Jack O'Neill walked in on them. "Alexandra."
"General." She smiled and John stood at his words.
"Please, you're off duty." Jack shrugged.
"But it's so nice calling you General, Uncle Jack."
Surprised, John looked between the two, not expecting that twist.
"Wait… Uncle?"
Alexandra looked at John with a cheeky smile.
"Yes, actually." She stood. "Captain Alexandra O'Neill, Major. But like my uncle said, I am off duty."
"Of course." It was the only thing John was able to say as curiosity spiked his interest.
"Major, I want to leave in 10." Jack spoke, breaking the sudden silence.
"Yes, sir."
With a last glance and a nod at the woman, John left, having both uncle and niece watching him.
Alexandra sat back down, looking at her papers. A small smile slowly appearing on her lips.
"It's good." Jack suddenly said, sitting on the now vacant chair. "Seeing that smile." He explained upon her questioning look.
"Well, it helps working here."
"And he looks a very nice man…"
"Oh, please, Uncle Jack. I don't need that from you. My mom already does that. And Sam. And Daniel. Even Teal'C. Besides he's my superior." She rolled her eyes, with a tone that meant something more.
Jack smiled. It was good hearing her like that, relaxed and playful.
"Well, I need you back at the SGC in three days."
"What? Why?" Alexandra frowned, giving out a little whine. Her good mood was rapidly disappearing.
"I have a task for you."
"Uncle Jack, I'm fine right here." She watched him stand.
"Three days, Alex. Go visit your mom."
And Jack O'Neill left, leaving no room for argument.
