Hello everyone.
Now for the aftermath of Lana's nightmare.
Now for the reviews.
Njistar: Well, the dialogue yes. But Lincoln's death and Lana mourning were based off of Superman's death in Batman Vs Superman.
beninator5: That could work.
DragonEmperor999: Yeah.
Indoraptorman101: Good thing she has her big brother.
BlueDude4536: Good idea.
phil34metro: It sure was.
Lord demon: Maybe something similar.
Lets get to it.
The next morning, Lincoln woke up and saw that Lana was still embracing him tightly. He knew the nightmare she had last night terrified her.
Linka then hopped down from the top bunk.
"How is she?" Linka whispered.
"Still shaken." Lincoln whispered back. "She hasn't let go of me all night."
"That sure was a scary nightmare she had." Linka said quietly. "The Slicer actually killed you."
"I know." Lincoln silently replied. "After school, I plan to spend the entire afternoon with her."
"That's good." Linka said. "Well, I'm gonna go get in line."
"Ok, I'll be out later." Lincoln whispered.
Linka nodded and left the room.
Lincoln continued to embrace his little sister.
After a few minutes, Lana woke up.
"Good morning, Lana." Lincoln greeted.
Lana looked up at her big brother.
"Good morning, Lincoln." She greeted not leaving his embrace. "I'm glad your still here."
"Of course." Lincoln replied. "What I said last night stands. No matter what, I'm your big brother and I love you."
"I love you too, big brother." Lana said. "I really don't want you to die."
"Just remember, dreams don't mean anything." Lincoln assured. "As long as we stick together, The Slicer won't win."
"You're right." Lana said.
"By the way, how about after school, you and me spend the entire afternoon together?" Lincoln asked.
"I'd like that." Lana responded.
"Me too." Lincoln replied. "Are you ok enough to go to school?"
"Yeah, since we're spending the afternoon together, I'll be fine." Lana answered.
"Good." Lincoln said. "Why don't we go get ready then?"
"Ok." Lana said.
The two of them went to get ready for the day.
After school, Lincoln and Lana were in the living room. Lincoln had made some chocolate chip cookies for her. She was eating them while they were watching an animal show on T.V.
"You feeling any better, Lana?" Lincoln asked.
"Mmhmm." Lana replied.
They both continued watching T.V. until a commercial came on.
"Thanks for spending the day with me, big brother." Lana said.
"You're welcome, little sister." Lincoln responded. "I can't have my little Greasemonkey all sad, now can I?"
He then patted the top of her hat, making her giggle.
"You really are the best brother in the world." Lana told him.
"I do my best." Lincoln said. "You know, every time Mom and Dad brought any of you home from the hospital, I made a promise to be the best big brother I could be to all of you."
Lana smiled.
"Did you make that promise to me?" Lana asked.
"Absolutely." Lincoln replied. "I was actually the first one to hold you. Here's what happened."
(Flashback)
Today, Rita and Lynn Sr. were bringing their babies home from the hospital. Albert was watching over the kids.
Lincoln was so excited to be a big brother again. His older sisters couldn't help but find his excitement adorable.
Pretty soon, Rita and Lynn Sr. came in the house, each with a baby in their arms. One was wrapped in a pink blanket, the other in a blue one.
Lincoln excitedly went up to them.
"Can I hold them?" Lincoln pleaded. "Can I? Can I?"
Everyone couldn't help but chuckle. He acted the same way when Lucy was brought home. Lincoln's excitement was so adorable.
"Sure, Lincoln." Rita said. "But you have to sit down first."
Lincoln immediately clamored on to the couch.
Lynn Sr. then carefully gave him the baby wrapped in the blue blanket.
"Hold her head, son." Lynn Sr. instructed.
Lincoln did just that.
He was so happy holding his new little sister.
"What are their names?" Lincoln asked.
"You're holding Lana." Lynn Sr. answered. "And your mother is holding Lola."
"Those are pretty names." Lincoln said.
He then looked down at his baby sister.
"Hi, Lana." Lincoln greeted. "I'm your big brother, Lincoln."
Lana looked at him and giggled.
"She laughed." Lincoln joyfully said.
"That means she likes you." Lori said.
"Lana, I promise you, I'll be the best big brother ever to you." Lincoln said. "I love you."
He then kissed her forehead. Everyone couldn't help but awe at this.
Lana was fascinated by what Lincoln just told her.
"Wow, you loved me so much back then." She said.
"And I still love you just as much." Lincoln said. "Even when you were a toddler, you were the queen of mud. I remember when you were a year old and you found a mud puddle in the backyard. You and I had a lot of fun in it."
"You actually played in the mud with me." Lana asked.
"Yup." Lincoln answered. "It made you happy, so I would join you in the mud whenever you wanted me too."
"Thanks, big brother." Lana said.
"You're welcome, Lana." Lincoln said.
They both hugged each other.
Suddenly, Lana got an idea.
"How about after we finish these cookies, you and I go play in the mud like we did back then?" Lana asked.
"I would love to, Lana." Lincoln replied.
They then continued to eat the cookies and watch T.V.
That night, Lincoln and Lana were in their pajamas and resting on Lincoln's bed. She wanted to spend one more night with him.
"Thanks for today, Lincoln." Lana said.
"You're welcome, Lana." Lincoln responded. "Just remember, you don't have to worry about The Slicer ending me. We are a team now. And as long as we stick together, he can never win."
"You're right." Lana said. "The Slicer will never take you away from us."
"And the same goes for the rest of you." Lincoln said.
"Well, we should get some sleep." Lana said.
"You're right." Lincoln said. "Good night, Lana. I love you."
"Good night, Lincoln." Lana said back. "I love you too."
They then fell asleep in each others embrace.
Lincoln certainly is a wonderful brother.
I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. Please tell me what you think.
