The two tournament participants each headed for the stage. Both men prepared for battle. Not only were they hungry to win the entire tournament, but both were fueled by the desire of achieving revenge.

One represented goodness; Kobyashi.

A fighter who fought for the concern & safety of others. Protector of the innocent & his friends in need.

the other represented hatred; Calvin.

A fighter who fought for nobody but himself. A young man who fought only for the sake of causing harm to others, someone who wanted to prove he was the toughest around. A selfish & borderline sinister warrior.

Together they share a bit of history. From when they first met, Calvin had insulted Kobyashi along with his friends of Z-Star. Calling them weak & foolish for having morals. Deeming it pathetic. He even went as far as to beat one of his friends to near death in a fight. From that moment, Kobyashi declared that he would take Calvin down.

And now they were about to come to blows.

Both fighters walked to the stage, stepping foot on the tile. Glares seen on both expressions. No words have yet to be exchanged, instead they let their power do the talking. Energy rising within them, to the point pebbles & chips of tile begun to float upwards from around their respective bodies.

A sadistic grin forming on the face of the green-haired saiyan. In a flash, he dashed forward. Headed straight for the other! Delivering a flurry of strikes! Left! Right! Left! Right! Left! Left!

However, Kobyashi was able to read his movements, matching Calvin blow for blow. Clashing with fists in order to keep himself from being struck. Though little by little, the blonde found himself being pushed back.

If there was one thing to be said about Calvin's fighting style, it was noted for his aggression. Straight to the point with attacks, yet he was ruthless. He was barbaric. Put it simply, he was dangerous for his direct approach. There was no style, no flashy techniques, only pure viciousness.

And Calvin was proving just that, the intensity & force behind his strikes only gaining more power as he continued to strike. Kobyashi was fast, but Calvin seemed to be faster as of that moment. He was aware he could only keep this up for so long.

Forced to take a defensive position, the Z-Star representative performed a last-second duck before sending himself backwards. Creating distance between the two in the process.

"I am not going to let you get away..!"

Calvin roared, pursuing him.

Realizing he was quick to gain on him, Kobyashi made for a swift kick to catch Calvin's jaw once he was close enough. But to his surprise, Calvin had anticipated something like this. Grabbing Kobyashi's leg and swinging the blonde into the air.

The force of being sent flying immediately overwhelming Koby, who found himself dazed for a brief moment. This was all Calvin needed to land a devastating combo of strikes to Kobyashi's gut, allowing the Dark Star representative to nail him with a mighty elbow to the other's face. Sending him crashing back down to the ring.

But he wasn't finished just yet! With a powerful roar, Calvin wastes no time in charging up to Super Saiyan 2, throwing out both arms to his right and left side. A shimmering golden orb of ki forming on each of his palms. Growing bigger by the millisecond.

Gritting his teeth, he channeled more power into this technique before allowing his arms to move forward in front of him, lower area of his palms pressed against each other.

"FINAL FLASH…!"

He shouts! And in that exact moment, a massive beam of energy fired out, sent into the sizable crater in which Kobyashi had laid in. The spectators watching the fight left in awe over this, some forced to even shield their vision using their arms thanks to the brightness of the attack. Even Kobyashi's friends were left astonished by this.

However, this didn't mean Kobyashi had been harmed. At the very last moment, he activated a barrier to surround his entire body. Keeping himself from being damaged by this energy based attack. The barrier able to withstand the attack, proving Kobyashi was no pushover.

He was not the same young man who struggled to fight the likes of Janemba.

A sigh of relief from Silvie, who couldn't help but give a soft smile over this. His close friends cheering him on. By far the loudest in the crowd. This being heard by Kobyashi, who clenched his fists, allowing the barrier to disperse. Upon hopping out of the crater, he looked up to see Calvin. The glare never leaving our hero's face.

"Are you finished yet..?"

He asks in a serious tone.

That little comment rubbed Calvin the wrong way. Of course it did. He was expecting an entirely different reaction. He wanted Kobyashi to feel intimidated. To feel fear & despair! Instead, he got the complete opposite.

Teeth gritting, an irritated groan leaving the saiyan's throat.

"you miserable little shite! I'm going to teach you a lesson ye'll never forget!"

With furrowed brows, Calvin flew toward his opponent.

A subtle smirk forming on the face of Kobyashi, knowing Calvin had just taken the bait. He stood without moving so much as an inch until it seemed as if Calvin was about to punch him. But to the villain's surprise, Kobyashi caught him with a devastating uppercut, grabbing Calvin by his arm & hurling him across the stage.

Pursuing Calvin, intending to hit him with a flurry of strikes & kicks. This going well for a moment, until Calvin retaliated. Managing to block at the right time and catch Kobyashi with a headbutt, knocking him back slightly. Making most out of this by nailing Kobyashi in the face with a left and right hook.

Calvin was just about to go for a third hit, shouting at the top of his lungs in anger.

"Yer finished! Ye rotten little shi—"

Before he could finish, milliseconds before the strike was delivered, Kobyashi had caught Calvin's fist. Digits resting on the other's knuckles.

A mild glare seen on the hero's face. Crimson eyes staring right at Calvin's surprised expression. A low grumble in tone coming from Kobyashi,

"I'm getting sick of your talking."

**WHAM—**!

Somehow, in the blink of an eye, Kobyashi had kicked Calvin in the stomach. A brutal one at that, the impact causing Calvin's eyes to go blank for a moment. The power in Kobyashi's attack was like nothing seen before. How long had he held such power?

This would've sent Calvin flying, but Kobyashi was not about to let him go. That would've been too easy. And Kobyashi was not going to show any mercy for Calvin. A hard grip of Calvin's ponytail, he kept the cruel Saiyan from leaving his proximity.

Keeping his entire body in the air, a testament to Kobyashi's strength. Holding him as if he were a mere feather.

"…You're not…"

He would raise Calvin over his head, floating up a few yards into the air.

"GOING ANYWHERE…!"

His hand moving from Calvin's ponytail to his face, he would charge at full speed into the tournament stage. SLAMMING Calvin face-first into the tile. An explosion of smoke & debris following immediately after.

Everyone in the crowd roaring in favor of Kobyashi. The remaining Dark-Star participants watching in silence. Observing without a word.

Despite keeping his opponent grounded, a surge of power forces Kobyashi to release the other. Retreating to the other side of the stage.

Increasingly agitated, Calvin has decided to transform. Sparks of electricity appearing throughout the surrounding area, his blonde hair would increase in length. Reaching down to his waist. His eyebrows having disappeared, though in exchange his power has skyrocketed! Calvin has entered Super Saiyan 3!

"I'm going to **tear you apart**! limb from limb!"

Calvin exclaimed, taking his unique fighting stance.

As does Kobyashi, who remains determined. As well as unbothered.

After their initial bout of testing the waters, it seems the two rivals are set to take their battle to the next level..
