For those who read my Show Town stories and wonder why I don't have Original Buster and Babs Bunny (no relation) be a couple in my stories, this story will show why, and I'll explain more at the end.
Babs and Buster Bunny (no relation) sat next to each other on the couch of their apartment.
"Babs, there's something I've gotta tell ya." Buster informed.
"I've got something to tell you too, Buster." Babs replied, meaningfully.
"It's about our relationship." They both said in unison before they both looked surprised. "Our relationship was rather... complicated in the series."
"Like, what were we?" Buster asked. "Best friends?"
"Friends with benefits?" Babs asked. "A couple?"
"All three?" They both asked in unison.
"There's also the fact that neither authors have had us act like a couple." Buster added.
"Maybe because they focus on other characters." Babs shrugged. "But regardless, let's get to the point."
"We should just be friends." They both said in unison before getting surprised.
"Wow. Glad we agree." Buster informed.
"So do I." Babs replied. "I guess from now on, we are platonic friends."
"Let's make that best friends." Buster smiled.
"Wouldn't want it any other way." Babs replied, also smiling.
And with that, the two rabbits shook hands, solidifying their agreement and friendship.
Now, I find the "relationship" between the two rabbits inconsistent, maybe because the show had inconsistent continuity. A notable thing is the Christmas episode. At the beginning, Babs calls Buster her "best friend", and later in the episode her "boyfriend". Even the show can't make up its mind. So that's why I've decided to have Babs and Buster Bunny (no relation) be best friends and no more than that in my stories. See ya.
