Arthur was nothing and Merlin was still there, had been alive for far too long, and he was nearly certain that all of his visions of his oldest friend were simply proof that his life had finally driven him over the brink.

When Merlin is taken by Morgana, Arthur has no idea of the consequences it will have on Camelot. But when Morgana takes Camelot too, will Arthur be forced to see a side to Merlin he never knew about before? And can their friendship ever be the same? Reveal fic. Merlin and Arthur both grew up with only one parent caring for them, protecting them, and teaching them. Each one is almost an orphan. Arthur wants to know what having a mother is like while Merlin wants to learn what having a father is like.

In a society where magic use is a prominent feature of the world, those gifted with the highly illegal craft are killed more often than not. When Arthur's estranged half-sister, Morgana, reappears in his life after years away, Arthur is sucked into a world of magical activities, prison breaks, magical street gangs, and a sorcerer named Merlin who knows more than he lets on.

Merlin's life was going nowhere, but he didn't exactly mind. That was, until Arthur came along and managed to fuck everything up. Loosely based on the television show '2 Broke Girls'.

Merlin is unnaturally quiet this Christmas. He hopes Arthur will get his point at least this time. But what happens when Arthur just makes things worse? Will he be able to correct the mistake with a present he thinks Merlin will like? Merlin/Freya in the end. A very Merry Merlin Christmas everyone!
