Uther Pendragon decides to take destiny into his own hands when he hears of a prophecy that predicts the destruction of everything he has worked for. He imprisons the sorcerer "Emrys" deep beneath the castle along with the Great Dragon.

It wasn't like Merlin was against Christmas time. Quite the opposite actually, he was mesmerised by the bright colours and joyful faces of children as they discussed what they would like to receive. It's just that he had never had the opportunity to celebrate it.

At four years of age, he tottered around the halls. At eight he walked them as if he owned them. At thirteen he was no longer a little boy. At sixteen he saw war for the first time. At twenty-one he became Prince Merlin of Camelot.

Instead of Gwen returning with Arthur to Camelot to battle Morgana she left once more, Arthur follows her back to Ealdor to prove to her that he is worthy of her love. And little by little Gwen begins to find that love never dies... AU.

Year after year, Merlin waited. He stayed in the same little town, walking past the same little lake, day after day in hope that his King would return. But time kept passing. It was painful, waiting for Arthur. Merlin lived many lives, took many different names, and waited everyday for the return of his king. But what was centuries for Merlin, was only seconds for Arthur...Oneshot!

I'm quite devastated after season finale of Merlin, probably as we all are. I'm not a native speaker, so my english may not be perfect. I'm sorry for that. This story is short, simple and I have written it because there were too many inaccuracies in the last episode, don't you think? Therefore I present my version. Maybe it will boost your mood even a little.

A curse causes Merlin to make the ultimate sacrifice, and now no one in Camelot can remember him. But when Arthur is saved from a magical monster he starts dreaming about a strange lanky boy, and can't get him out of his mind. Now featuring Gwaine. Friendship/Angst
