One shot from the last scene of "Lady of the Lake"...Merlin wallows in grief over Freya's death. Has he finally had enough?

Inspired by the scene from 'The Avengers'. Mordred is revealed as a traitor and as he takes control, it seems unlikely anyone could beat him. However there is one person who can beat him. Literally.

Rewrite of a story that was formerly on my old account Galacticwof: After learning that Morgana is still alive and searching for something called the Ring of Souls, Merlin, Arthur and the knights set out to get it before her, but in a land where the dead walk, can Merlin keep his secrets as old friends and foes return?

When Merlin and Arthur get lost in the woods, secrets come out and death is close behind them.

Letters between Merlin and Freya, who ran away instead of becoming the Lady of the Lake.

When Mithian flees to Camelot, her visit leads to an unexpected turn of events that place the princess on an unlikely quest to save an ancient creature of magic.

Story for 5x06 - The Dark Tower, this is how I thought Morgana could have gained Gwen's trust and who's side Gwen is really on...

Another gathering has taken place in Camelot Castle. How does it go, when one of its household is... Believe me, the story is much better than the summary. Dragons take a vital part in the discussion of the story.

A cracky AU of 5X06, so spoilers up to this point. Merlin decides not to wait to ride at dawn. He has his own ride, a much faster, scaly, one. Arthur comes along as well, trying to be greatful about the chance to rescue his wife but he's still too bewildered. And all of this can be blamed on Gaius not wanting Merlin to be serious all the time. Be warned, tis a very crazy fic!

Arthur recieves terrible news while on the battlefield. He returns home to comfort his grieving love. Minor character death.

"So what should we do? Accept magic? Or let Mordred die?" Arthur rarely saw tears in Merlin's eyes. In fact, he could say with certainty that he cried more than his manservant. It was obvious that his plea for advice on this issue was causing some sort of inner conflict for his friend. But the question was why? One-shot, might turn into multichapter.

Set at the time that Arthur is king, new character called Florence, but other than that all other characters are the same, I do not own Merlin.

The Witch has a powerful influence on the Queen; no longer in the Dark Tower, Guinevere should be safe from Morgana's clutches. Should, but isn't. And neither is the King.
