Disclaimer: I don't own Monk. All I own is the idea.

"Thank you for inviting us to stay with you while our house is being fumigated, Mr. Monk," Natalie said gratefully.

"You're welcome," Monk smiled.

He paused.

"Can't sleep?" he asked.

"She sleeps like a sleeping person," Julie said, coming into the room, "I, on the other hand, can never fall asleep at night."

"You know," Monk said thoughtfully, "I think I have something that will help you fall asleep."

"Really? What is it?"

"Go wash your hands and I'll give it to you," Adrian said.

Oh GOD, Natalie thought, What will he give my daughter?

She wasn't worried. Natalie and Mr. Monk had been friends for years. She trusted Mr. Monk implicitly. Monk went into his bedroom and came out a few minutes later.

Julie came back into the room. She had her hands washed.

"Here you go Julie," Monk said.

"OH MY GOSH! THANK YOU SO MUCH MR. MONK!"

Julie hugged him and went into her room to get some sleep. Monk started back to his room.

"Not so fast," Natalie intercepted him, "What did you give her?"

"Oh, that? I just gave her my Trudy pillow. It always helps me sleep so I thought maybe it would help Julie."

"I'm sorry. I must have hallucinated. You gave her your Trudy pillow?"

"It's not a big deal," Monk said.

"Are you serious? Mr. Monk that is a huge deal. You don't let anyone touch that pillow."

"I know," Monk said, "But Julie isn't just anyone."

Monk went to bed. The next day Julie woke up bright and early.

"Hi Julie," Monk said, "How did you sleep?"

"I slept wonderfully," Julie said, "Thank you so much for giving me that pillow."

Monk hugged her.

"You're welcome," he said.
