Lulu's POV
I ran a hand through my hair massaging my temples as I listened to both Brooklyn and Carly. Brooklyn had drugged Dante in Carly's order, I had never felt more betrayed.
"That's enough! I have heard enough!" I held a hand up, cutting Carly off.
"Lulu, you have to know that I was only trying to protect you." Carly looked into my eyes but, I just shook my head.
"The only person you were thinking about was yourself, Carly. It's always about how YOU feel, the world doesn't revolve around you. Brooklyn, I'm sorry you got caught up in this. Kate's hiring, if you want a job I can put in a good word for you." I turned to Brooklyn, there was no use in hating her.
"Lulu, I am so sorry. I owe you and Dante endless apologies, I hate myself for it. That would mean a lot to me, thank you." Brooklyn was shocked at Lulu's words.
"Look, we all get caught up sometimes. You didn't have any money, you were desperate. I get it, I've been there. I'm not going to hold it against you, I seriously doubt Dante will either." I shook my head, really wishing Carly would leave.
"Will you please leave? Dante is nothing like his father, he's not going to hurt me. The only one who hurt me was you." I ran a hand through my blonde hair.
"He will, just give it time." Carly scoffed at me, before leaving the loft.
"Here, I'll give you Kate's number." I wrote down my bosses number on a piece of paper and handed it to Brooklyn.
"Thank you so much, Lulu." Brooklyn breathed a sigh of relief, taking the paper from me.
"It's not a problem, everyone deserves a second chance. Lord knows I've had a million of them, I'm the last person who should be judging you." I shrugged, taking a sip of my water that was sitting on the table.
"I'll see you later, I'm going to go see Kate in person." Brooklyn turned to go.
"Good luck!" Lulu called after her as the door shut.
"I wonder what time Dante gets off." Lulu flopped onto the couch, allowing her eyes to flutter shut.
Dante's POV
"I told you Carly wouldn't give up so easily." Lucky Spencer stopped by my desk.
"I should have known, I'm more concerned about Lulu." I sighed, I knew how close she was with Carly.
"My sister has a heart of gold but, once you cross Lulu she'll hold a grudge against you forever. You should cut out of here early, go be with my sister. I'll cover for you." Lucky motioned to the door.
"Thank you, Lucky. I owe you." Dante grabbed his phone and keys off his desk.
"I'll remember that." Lucky easily smirked as Dante left the station. Dante stopped by a flower shop to get Lulu some pink roses and headed home. Dante saw that Lulu's car was here, that was good. Dante rode the elevator up to his loft and opened the door. His eyes landed on Lulu sleeping on the couch, Dante set the roses in a vase with water and went over to the couch.
"You're home early." Lulu mumbles without opening her eyes.
"Are you awake?" Dante chuckled, running a hand through her hair.
"I'm just resting my eyes." Came her answer.
"Yeah, sure." Dante smirked as she sat up.
"Carly just gave me a headache...ugh." Lulu held her head.
"Carly would give anyone a headache. Let me get you some Tylenol, baby." Dante pressed a kiss to her temple, going to get her some water and Tylenol.
"Thank you." Lulu sighed.
"I think I talked Brooke into getting a job at Crimson. You know, I figured I'd throw her a bone since Carly fired her. I'm really not mad at her, she just got caught up in Carly's bullshit." Lulu walked over to where Dante was standing.
"I don't have any ill will for Brooke, other than Ronnie she's my oldest friend. I think it's great that you did that for her. Other than that, how have you been doing? Are you feeling alright?" Dante places his hand on her hips, looking into her eyes.
"Can I ask you something?" Lulu sighed, not knowing how he would react.
"You can ask me anything." Dante brows furrowed in concern.
"If I were pregnant would that...be good news?" Lulu asked.
"You-Your pregnant?" Dante gasped, a huge smile on his face.
"I am. I'm so glad that you're happy, I've been stressing over it." Lulu wasn't going to lie, from the minute she'd found out she was pregnant Dante's reaction was all she'd been thinking about.
"I know that you've been hurt in the past but, I'm not out to hurt you. I'm here to love you and be there for you. I love you, Lulu. I've always wanted a family, maybe it's happening sooner than we'd planned but...I'm happy." Dante brought her in for a kiss.
"You're mom is going to be so happy." Lulu beamed up at him, they both shared a laugh.
"You're going to call her, aren't you?" Dante laughed.
"Well, she needs to know!" Lulu smirked, looping her arms around his neck.
"I love how close you and Ma are. Ma loves you." Dante brushes her hair back from her face.
"We should invite her and Johnny over for dinner." Lulu smiled.
"I'm still surprised you two are good friends." Dante knew what Johnny had done to Lulu.
"Johnny's a good person, he just got caught up and made some decisions he couldn't take back. Johnny's one of my best friends and I know that he makes Olivia really happy." Lulu knew Dante and Johnny would never see eye to eye.
"Alright, I'll call Ma."
