After their story
The cerulean eyes of her gorgeous mate met hers across the room. She couldn't help but melt in his gaze; the way he looked at her as if she was the most beautiful woman in the entire universe made her heart melt. Of course, being a descendent of Aphrodite meant that it wasn't far from being true.
Forcing herself to avert her gaze from the gorgeous specimen, the princess focused on the lyrics she had been working on for the past couple of weeks. So close…just a few more lines to finish off her song and a little tweaking of the chorus would see the job well done. A familiar pair of arms found their way around her top half as his teeth nipped at the mark imprinted on the gap between her neck and shoulder. "How are you coming along, goddess?" peppering her sweet spot with kisses. She blushed, dropping her pen and reaching for his lavender hair.
"I'll be done soon." she replied, rising from her chair to allow him better access to her body. Aphrodite, when he did that to her nape she lost all train of thought altogether. "But I suppose I can make time for a little break." she reached for his T-shirt, tugging for him to get rid of it. Of course he complied, much to the princess' delight.
The blonde rested her head on his broad chest while snaking her arms around his neck. "I miss holding you every night, gorgeous. I don't sleep as well without you." his fingers stroked up and down her waist through her dress, causing a pleasurable little moan to escape her as she further drooped into him. "Mm, I miss hearing that, too." She smiled and blushed, placing a chaste kiss on his chest and moving one hand to cup his cheek. Tilting her head upwards, the former saiyan prince kissed his lover deeply, enjoying the way she melted into him like she always did.
"You know I can't resist you when you do that to me, beastie." she giggled, bringing her face to his and capturing his lips in another sweet, toe-curling kiss, ending it with a peck on his nose. He smiled, the kind of smile that made her fully aware of his desire to take her. This was a regular occurrence after they saw each other after time apart.
"You know you can't resist me either way." he smirked. But his smirk disappeared when she let go of him and hurried back to her pen and paper.
"That's it! It fits perfectly, darling!" she shrieked in excitement, scribbling it down and paying no regard to the state of her handwriting.
It was admirable, he thought, that she put so much passion into her songs. He could never get tired of hearing her sing. "Glad I could help, I guess. What's this one about anyway?" he asked, her songs were always about love in some form or another. And they were always beautiful.
"Meeting your soulmate." she replied, finishing with the pen and returning to her own soulmate. Her sapphires held him in a loving gaze and he just knew that she was reminiscing over their own love story, how they met and fell for one another.
"I think our case was a little different." he sighed, remembering how they first came across each other. Not exactly a romantic setting to say the least.
"Trunks, I told you to stop dwelling on that. I have you now, and you have me. That's all that matters." she spoke, tipping his face to the side to plant a kiss on his cheek.
"I know, Minako. I'm the luckiest man in the galaxy." he lifted her dress off of her and took the chance to press their chests together, enveloping her in a deep kiss.
Parting for breath, she giggled into him. "You mean the universe, love."
"Damn right." he purred, knowing full well his feisty mate was right. Refusing to deny his princess any longer, the half-saiyan sunk his teeth into her mating mark. He felt her buckle in his embrace and scooped her up, carrying her to their bed. "My love."
Prologue - Beginning of their story
Golden, cylindrical pillars stood proud, tall, and beautiful in Magellan - the castle of Aphrodite. The stained-glass windows, as usual, were the most aesthetically pleasing part of the throne room. Well, apart from the Queen of Venus herself.
To the left of the throne were situated five of these enormous windows. In order from the throne stood the depictions of the guardians of Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, and Earth. To the right the equivalent glass artworks of Mercury, Venus, the Moon, Mars, and Jupiter stood equally as magnificent.
After stepping out of her portal window the first thing that came into view for this Mercurian Princess were those windows. While at a simple glance, they were merely decorative, in actuality they were portals to the palaces of each world in which they displayed. Of course, the Venusian window led to the safe haven of Venus, and counting on the news she was tasked in delivering to the queen, the Venusian Royal Family made need to use it sooner rather than later.
Ami hastily made her way to the throne, eyeing the queen and bowing as soon as she drew near enough. Of course it was simply a formality in front of all of the guards; Addienna was like an aunt to her after all. "Your Majesty." spoke the bluenette, bowing her head and curtseying for the queen. Without even looking she could feel the intense beauty of the queen's maroon eyes on her.
"I have told you that there is no need for such formality, my dear Mercury." Spoke the queen, her voice a blessing to Princess Mercury's ears. Good, that'll make this a lot easier she thought to herself.
The Princess of Venus ran into the room as Mercury raised her head, a worried look on her face which soon changed to a smile when she saw her fellow senshi.
"Am- Princess Mercury!" Minako quickly corrected herself, knowing how informal it was for crown princesses to use their real names in the presence of non-royals. Sometimes she cursed that stupid tradition. Placing her arms around Ami, Minako squeezed her fellow senshi in delight; it had been a while since they were last able to meet.
"Lovely to see you, Princess Venus." Ami spoke, holding back her desire to throw her arms around her like a mad woman. The two gave one another a knowing smile before facing the queen once again.
"Mother." Minako bowed.
"I expect you came bearing news, Mercury. It must be urgent if you came in person, little messenger." The queen's voice was musical and sounded exactly what a high queen was expected to sound like, but Mercury still detected the hint of fear that shook the sound ever so slightly.
"Queen Addienna, King Vegeta sent us a message via the giant coms hub in Mariner Castle. He has invited himself to Magellan Castle in hopes of negotiating with Venus." Mercury waited to see Addienna's face change to one of disgust, but if there was one thing the Venusian queen had mastered it was being able to keep her facial features and emotions in check. A queen shouldn't be having outbursts after all.
"I see. Did he say anything else?" she'd managed to keep her composure and level out the shaking in her voice. What the hell did the saiyans want this time? Hadn't they already taken enough? Almost half of her population, her cities, and her dear soulmate, the father of her daughter.
"Yes, 'make sure there's lots of food for the glorious banquet'."
"The nerve of his majesty is unrivalled. How off putting." of course she wanted to say something more along the lines of 'what a disgusting piece of shit, I hope I get the chance to slaughter him one day', like his people had done to Minako's father, and the fathers of all of the inner senshi, leaving only the queens and princesses.
"So now we have to throw them a banquet?!" Minako yelled, earning her a look from her mother. Addienna knew how Minako felt, only wishing that her daughter would be able to master holding back her rage as well as she was able to.
"I'm afraid so. I hate to see him but at this point in our conflict I don't think we have a choice. We'll prepare a banquet and grit our teeth."
This conflict had been going on for too long, and right now the Solarian Empire was on the receiving end of the violence. Of course, when their armies weren't busy fighting other galactic threats and they had the green light to use their trump card, the empire would come out victorious. But the saiyans were ruthless, taking resources whenever they pleased and leaving the planets with next to nothing. Nevertheless they persevered due to the power of the senshi crystals. Something they could never let the saiyans get their hands on.
