Takes place after the second war with Gaia.
Hera tapped her foot against her throne impatiently as she listened to her family fight. It was supposed to be a meeting to discuss the aftermath around the defeat of Gaia, but here they are fighting as they have done for many millenniums. The meeting was of great significance, they even invited Hades to join and report.
They haven't even discussed anything revolving the war, once everyone was seated Zeus and Hades broke out in an argument, followed by Athena and Poseidon going at each other's throats, and lastly Apollo and Artemis began to bicker.
Hera's attention shifted towards the pointless argument the twins were involved in.
"Little sis, you're just jealous of my awesomeness."
"How many times do I have to tell you that I'm older than you!"
"I am so awesome
Little sis is mad at me
Because I'm awesome"
Artemis smashed her head against the arm rest of her throne much to Apollo's oblivion as he smiled brightly.
Hera wouldn't have cared for their argument, however, it's been the same argument ever since they were born. After so many millenniums of hearing the same words, you tend to loose your patience.
Her ears picked up on her husband's and brother's argument as their voices became elevated.
"I'm not the one flinging myself at any woman I see on the street. I'm the only one who didn't break the oath, at least barnacle beard only did it once, you on the other hand..."
"At least I can get a woman! You spend all of your time with the dead you're starting to look like it!" Zeus sniffed, "And smell like it too."
Hades rolled his eyes, "You have NO idea what goes on in the underworld. When is the last time you visited, huh? The shear volume of spirits couldn't compute in your mind-"
Hera shifted in her seat uncomfortable. She hated all reminders of her husband's unfaithfulness. She couldn't deny Hades's point as Zeus practically cheated on her with every mortal woman who looked his way.
She quickly turns towards her other brother and Athena's argument, hoping it will be less painful.
"-It's bad enough she's together with your son. Now she willingly attends the same high school as him."
"Bad enough? Did you forget my son fell in Tartarus for her. If anything you should be thanking him for saving her from being with Luke."
Athena snorted, "Please. She would've joined the hunt, which she should've done in the first place."
Hera's fingers tapped in rhythm of her foot. She clenched her jaw as she became more furious after every second her family fought. This is not how a family should behave! She's the Goddess of family and she should put a stop to this!
She slammed her fist down on her throne's arm rest, leaving a slight dent from the force. All of the bickering seized as they stared the Queen in shock.
"I've kept quiet for many millenniums and I cannot take it anymore! We are a family! This isn't how a family behaves!"
She glared at Hephaestus as he snorted. He didn't make another peep even if he strongly disagreed with her definition on how a family behaves.
Hera pointed at the twins, "You two have been having the same argument about who's the oldest since you've been born. How many more years is it going to take for either one of you to admit defeat?"
She pointed at Poseidon and Athena, "Your rivalry has gone on for far too long. Families do not blame their rival's demigods for being their child."
Dionysus put down his magazine, "Did you just defend a demigod?"
Hera glared at him, "I did. Because that's what families do."
Dionysus shrugged and picked up his magazine, not risking to call out her hypocrisies.
Then she stopped at Zeus and Hades, "Even if I agree with Hades's assessment with my husband having an affair with any woman he sees-"
"You're taking his side!" Zeus yelled.
"All six of you are behaving like children! Sometimes I cannot believe you been around for many millenniums as your age has certainly not made you any wiser."
"I'm going to disagree-"
Hera raised her hand to silence Athena, "The six of you need to put your pride behind you. Once you stop pretending you're better than every god out there-"
"I'm the king god and I-"
Hermes snorted interrupting his father, "They might as well turn into children."
Hera turned to look at Hermes as an idea struck her mind. "You know Hermes, I think you're right."
Hermes and the other male gods frowned, what was he right about?
Athena looked horrified as she understood what Hera meant, "NO! turning us into -"
Hera began to chant as the six arguing gods fell to the floor, writhing in pain. The other gods look at them with worry and curiosity.
Hera ended her chant with a smile, "As you behave like children, you'll be subjected to spend a school year as a mortal teenager."
Even though Hera hates demigods and her husband cheating, her domain is still family. She is hypocritical as hell as Hephaestus and Dionysus pointed out, but she'll do whatever is necessary to fit her "perfect" family model.
