They left Selene at the Hunter's Headquarters as they left for the royal tomb. Monica assured Noctis she would take care of the Guardian.

She looked at the girl with pity, she could tell she'd been in a great fight. The claw marks, in her skin were infected, there was also poison cursing through her veins, not to mention the internal bleeding. She passed a cloth over her forehead to clean the sweat and try to lower her temperature.

"What did they do to you, Selene?"

He walked from one side to the other. His eyes on the burner phone he'd bought years ago. 'Come on!' He thought as he looked at the screen. 'Come on, Selene!'

It was a precaution, a safeguard that they had bought in case their phones were tapped, and has he thought when the Empire began planning the attack his phone was bugged.

Sirius looked at the burner and frowned, Selene should have contacted him, she knew he had the burner, he'd made her memorize the number by heart and saved the number in the other burner he'd given her.

"Why haven't you called?" He mumbled as he glared at the screen. "Come on, you idiot! Call me! Tell me you're okay!"

She hadn't been in Insomnia, and he was grateful for that… the city burned to the ground, when they used the Diamond Weapon. But when he received the notification that the Grandmaster had dubbed Selene as a traitor, he felt his insides freeze.

"Augh!" He stopped and looked at the man on the bed as he groaned and tried to sit up.

"Sore?"

His icy blue eyes looked at him with rage. "Shut up!"

He sighed and looked back at the screen. "Didn't your mother taught you not to take what wasn't yours? The Ring can only be used by the Lucii bloodline." Sirius eyed the man's left arm with pity, if Ravus hadn't been greedy for power that wouldn't have happened.

The Commander in return eyed him with hatred. "What do you know about anything? You're just a dog to the Grandmaster!"

Sirius sighed and pushed his hair away from his face as he walked towards the prince. He reached for his shirt and he punched him.

Ravus blinked, stunned, he reached for his cheek and stared at the man. It was the first time he'd hit him.

"I didn't hit you back then, because you needed a doctor…" He shook his hand and flexed his fingers as he lifted his gaze towards Ravus. "I know that you're an idiot who can't get over a grudge! I know that you're still a brat who has delusions of grandeur! And I know you're an ass, who instead of protecting his little sister, he used her as coin in politics and power!"

"You-!" He began but Sirius reached to hold his shirt once again, and screamed at him.

"The fuck, were you thinking? Does your hatred run that deep that you would use Luna like that?!"

Ravus clenched his jaw as he glared at his Vice-commander. Sirius was never a man who cared about politics or anything where he had to hold some decorum and responsibility, to this day the Commander still didn't understand how he became a Guardian. But there was one thing that Ravus had noticed about the Guardian. One, he was not stupid and two, he'd never, not once, betrayed his trust, nor had he ever confronted him with his choices… until this precise moment. He looked away from the man's dark amber eye. "What choice did I have?"

"Plenty! But you were too wrapped up in hatred to see them!"

"Then what do I do now?"

Sirius blinked as if he'd been asked the most idiotic question of all. "What the hell are you asking?! Do what you were always supposed to DO! Protect your little sister!"

He didn't say anything. Did he have that right? Was it still alright to protect Lunafreya, after all he had done? He glanced at Sirius who sat on the chair near his bed and kept checking the phone.

"What about you? What about YOUR little sister?"

Sirus stared at him and back at the phone. "She's a big girl, a strong girl… I know they won't be able to break her. I know… she's okay…"

"Then why are you worried?"

"Because she's also an idiot! Who keeps forgetting about a damn burner I got her for these situations! And if she hadn't, she might have avoided getting hurt in the first place!"

Ravus smirked as he leaned against the pillow. "Well, you can't blame her… she's your sister after all."

"Shut up and get back to sleep!"

His grin didn't disappear, but instead he closed his eyes. "You're not wearing the contacts anymore?"

Sirius blinked and stared at the prince. "I didn't think you'd notice."

"I only have one question… Why an eyepatch?" Ravus simply asked.

His aid leaned against the chair, as he heard it creak. Sirius glanced at the falling rain outside and sighed. "It's an ime-change!"

Cor stopped before the second tomb entrance and looked at the destruction around it, this was the place where Selene had been. The Marshal frowned and as he was about to enter his phone rang. As he reached for it, he was surprised by the name that appeared on the screen.

"Your highness, I need to check something up ahead." He reached for the key in his pocket and threw it to the prince. "That will open the rest of the tombs."

"Okay, meet you later."

As he watched the prince and his friends walking towards the cave. He placed the phone on his ear. "Yes?"

"Cor! Thank Chaos!" He smiled, there was only one clan that refused to say the name of the gods, although it wasn't the only one… "Selene! Have you seen her? I can't get a hold of her! I bought her a burner for these things! She always forgets about it!"

"She's fine… just a bit ruffled up."

Sirius sighed relieved as he leaned against the wall. He looked at the sky and pressed his hand against his temple. She was fine, maybe hurt, but alive…

"Thank you, Cor."

"Sirius… did you know?" He stated as he walked a bit further from cave.

The man placed his hand on his sword, he'd lost his friend and his king on that day. And he'd been useless and unable to protect him. If Sirius had known, if Selene was aware of the attack…

"Yeah… I knew." He clenched the hilt and opened his mouth to say something when. "I didn't think the King would accept it…"

Cor, stopped and frowned, that meant… "His Majesty knew?"

"I told him, this wasn't what we wanted, Cor."

We, he knew who he was talking about. Cor sighed and looked at the sky. "Yeah… I guess not… what about Selene? She was sent to a trap."

"The Grandmaster has dubbed Selene a traitor…"

"That means…"

"She'll be hunted. Cor, is she too badly hurt?"

Cor sighed as he leaned against the wall. "Fractured ribs, her arm also seemed busted, multiple stabs, slashes… but I think she'll recover soon enough. We're too tough and stubborn to lose that easily." Sirius chuckled and sighed before he gave a brief goodbye to the Immortal.

Cor closed the call and looked at the sky. He had known that Selene was an Ariadust from the moment he laid his eyes on her, after all… blood sang to blood.

They entered the cave and followed the path downwards, there were several debris and strangely enough he noticed the cable as they reached the room.

Ignis kneeled to the ground and removed some rubble. "This floor was placed here…" he pointed out as he noticed the metal floor.

"Is this where Selene was locked?" Prompto asked as he looked at the destroyed wall.

Gladio stood before the bent metal and frowned. "Noct…"

They gathered behind the big man and stared shacked at the door. "A-are those… claw marks?" Prompto gasped as he noticed the marks on the door. Ignis and Gladiolus shared a look, before the big man reached to brush his hand on the marks, they fit perfectly with the hands of…

"This was human made… they're nail marks."

"Oh, by the gods!" Prompto covered his mouth as he looked away.

"There's blood everywhere… lots of it…" Ignis clenched his hands into fists.

Noctis reached with his hands and brushed the dried blood. "Selene…" He whispered and turned towards the room when he hit something.

They stared at the clump he'd kicked and found a small dagger, drenched in blood. Ignis grabbed it and rubbed the blade noticing the black blood.

"She wasn't alone in here…"

"Daemons…" Prompto pointed out as they noticed the carcasses.

"And monsters…" Gladio kicked one of the bones.

"She fought all this?"

Noctis clenched his hands and looked towards the other path. "Come on… let's go."

The wave came in and out, the sand was dark like it always had been, they left a golden sheen on the shore.

She walked on the sand with her heels in hand, the water felt good on her feet, and she found it satisfying to see the footprints she left behind as she walked ahead.

The clock ticked above her, time was running out, not just for her… she glanced at the cracks that were growing bigger. Another crackling sound filled the air and she saw new pieces falling onto the sea.

"This world is getting closer to Chaos…" She heard behind her, she glanced towards him and nodded.

"Indeed…" She raised her hand and watched as the golden particles gathered around her hand, she didn't even need to concentrate, her power was getting stronger.

"Will they be able to make it?"

"They have to… either way…" She glanced at him, her eyes shining with the chaotic power that created everything. "If they don't… it proves that this world wasn't ready yet."

He frowned at those words, he'd served her since he was created, and he knew that her feelings towards the worlds were mixed… He watched as she stopped and sighed, before she moved to place her shoes back on. He approached her and extended his hand for her to use as a support.

She smiled at him and placed her heels back on. "Will you destroy it?" He asked.

"I have to." Her smile turned cold, almost crazy… but he knew better…

"That means those boys will cease to exist."

A flicker surged in her eyes at the mention of it and she looked back at the clock.

"Perhaps, that is for the best…"

When she regained consciousness, the only thing she saw was the ceiling, nothing more. How long had it been? A day, two? She scanned the room and noticed a window, with the soft moonlight gently streaming in.

She attempted to move, when a sharp, searing pain coursed through her body. It was as though lightning had surged through every cell of her body, engulfing her in agony. Selene clenched her teeth, trying to stifle her gasps. It took several minutes for the pain to subside to a bearable level, allowing her to shift back onto her back.

As Selene stared at the ceiling, her breaths shallow, she raised her arm. It was wrapped in bandages, and the distinct scents of antiseptic and alcohol filled the air.

"Well, at least I'm still alive," She joked, her uncertainty hanging in the air. She searched into her fragmented memories of the past few days, and amidst the haze, she recalled Noctis's words to her. "I failed again." She whispered, a solitary tear tracing its path down her cheek…

The night air was cold, but it felt good on her skin. Maybe she had a fever… She avoided the hunters, she wasn't in the mood to talk, however she didn't go far, she had to remain in the light, because Daemons come at night…

Selene sat on the hard ground and looked at the stars.

"I see you're awake." The voice of the Immortal reached her, she didn't turn his way, even before he spoke she had heard his footsteps approaching her.

"I'm not in the mood, Cor." She replied as she hugged herself.

Still, he sat next to her and handed her a burner phone. "Sirius' been trying to get to you…"

She noticed the burner and sighed. "Ah, right… I forgot about it, no wonder I couldn't contact him…" She took the phone and looked at the man. "And Noctis? Is he alright?"

"I sent them to get the royal arms, there's one nearby, over at the old mines…"

"Yeah… that's where I was…" She looked at the stars. "Will they be alright?"

"They aren't fragile damsels… besides they are together," He looked at her. "You were alone…"

She smiled. "And still I live… not bad for a sinner." She began fiddling with the phone, frowning at the messages Sirius had left her.

He nodded and glanced at the horizon, he fidgeted with fingers. "You know about me, don't you?"

Selene kept looking at the screen. "Blood sings to blood."

He glanced at her and sighed. "Yes… I guess it does… but I'm not pure blood, though…" He looked at his hands. "Still, I guess the one I have, allowed me to survive this long."

She raised her gaze to the night. "I know." She placed the phone down and leaned against his shoulder. "If you were pureblooded like me and Sirius, I would have noticed it sooner…" The night breeze brushed past her face and released a breath. "Do you hate it?"

Cor stared at his hands, he clenched it and opened. "I never thought about it. In a way, it's always been a part of me… and… his majesty didn't seem to mind…"

She smiled. "Yes, Regis-sama didn't mind…" Selene looked at the sky, the moon was big and bright, it was beautiful... "He's really gone…" She whispered.

"I'm afraid so…"

"Noctis still needs to go to Altissia…"

"Yes. But before that he must gather the royal arms." He looked at her. "Will you go with him?"

She hesitated, unsure. Should she go with him? Take him to see Luna, take him to the place he was supposed to marry her… 'I'm not a Guardian…' She thought, and yet… she closed her eyes. 'But I am still an Ariadust.' She turned towards Cor and smirked.

"I'm already being hunted, might as well go with the prince and cause some mischief." Her eyes shinned dangerously at those words making the Marshal smile.

"Will you tell him?"

Her heart clenched and she looked at the ground. "I'm not sure… Noctis never…" He'd never showed any hatred or disgust towards her clans history, but still… he had been taught that they were evil. 'But… Regis-sama accepted me…' Selene sighed and pressed her hands against her face. "No… maybe… if… if I have to, if I need to, then I will."

"Selene, my advice in this matter would be to tell him the truth, before it is too late." He then paused for a moment before adding. "And I believe the two of you should talk about your emotions, as well."

She glared at him. "Is there NO privacy anymore?"

He chuckled. "It's not a matter of privacy, it is clear that his Highness loves you, and you are trying NOT to let it show, but, you love him too."

She growled under her breath and moved away from him. "I'll mind my own life, thank you." He smiled and rose from his spot. "Going somewhere?"

"I came to give you the phone and check on you, now that I have, I'll go check on the Empire." He looked at her and threw her a full potion and phoenix down. "Get better quickly, I'm certain his highness is worried sick over you."

She gave him a smile and a brief thank you before the Marshal left her with her thoughts… Selene reached for her phone and dialed the only number available.

When he picked, and spoke to her, in that familiar and worried tone, she felt like all the things she had kept to herself dissolve as she sobbed. "Sirius… I couldn't save Regis-sama…"

She cried, she hadn't cried for the loss of a parent in a long time… she cried as she listened to Sirius worried and reassuring voice. He kept her company, until she had no more tears, until she had calmed, and then she talked with him about their next move…

Now that she wasn't a Guardian, she was free to do whatever she wanted.

Like the Marshal had suggested she took the potion and phoenix down, it helped boost her system to heal faster. Selene unwrapped the bandages around her stomach and stared at them, a crust had formed and the skin was joint back together. She recalled the daemon that had made that wound, and she examine the others. On some she placed a ointment to speed the healing, on others she simply placed a gauze and wrapped it back up… She estimated another three to four days before she was completely healed…

She glanced at her figure in the mirror and tilted her head. Her body was now filled with scars… Selene sighed and wrapped everything back.

She was finishing wrapping her hands and fingers when he burst in. She jumped at the crash of the door, and when she raised her gaze towards him she blinked. He was wet, his hair and clothes were dripping, his face was morphed into an expression of both worry and shock, and the minute his eyes laid on her, Selene saw how Noctis his body visible relaxed, his expression turned into one of relieve and she could tell he fought back the tears as he sniffed and walked towards her.

Her heart skipped a beat, to see how much his emotions swirled in both his eyes and expressions, it made her feel… awkward. As Noctis approached her and opened his mouth, she threw a towel at him.

"You're dripping wet." She complained. "Get in the shower before you catch a cold." She rose from her spot and silently walked towards him.

Noctis fumbled with the towel she'd thrown at his face, as he pulled it off and prepared to complain, his eyes widened as arms laced around his waist and she buried her head on his chest. She gripped his shirt. He froze, for a nano-second, before he sighed and moved to hold her as well, Noctis rested his chin on top of her head.

They stayed like that for a moment… when Selene spoke again. "You're cold and wet."

"It's raining." He told her. His hands run over her hair and he pulled it aside to look at the bandages, he frowned. "How are your wounds?"

"Cor gave me a potion, they will heal in a few days…" She pressed her lips together as she prepared her heart and raised her head. Their eyes locked. "Noct… are you… okay?"

He smiled, something that didn't erase the darkness in his blue eyes.

"I'm not the one who spent two days in a cave with daemons and monsters…"

She reached for his face. "Noctis… you may hide it from the others, but you're not fooling anyone… we all know how much your dad meant to you…"

His grip on her grew and she knew what he was feeling… Selene frowned and sighed as she grabbed the towel he'd left on his shoulders, she pulled it up and gently guided him to sit at the edge of the bed, as she rubbed his hair. She pretended not to see the tears as she dried his hair, pretended not to hear his sobs… she didn't say anything as he reached for her and buried his face in her chest.

When he'd seemed to relax, Selene brushed away the wet bangs, and she looked into his eyes. He gave her a fake smile and she kissed his forehead. She said nothing, mostly because she didn't know what to say. Saying sorry or that he would be okay didn't seem right, it hadn't helped her with it when she'd lost her father… so… all she could do was be there with him…

She placed her chin on top of his head and hugged him, tightly. No words were said. Perhaps, in moments like these, silence… is the best.

AN: Welcome to the 7th hour! I've been trying to add more moments with Sirius and other characters, just so they don't seem so bland. You know, when I played the game I thought that Luna and Ravus were just, there! They did nothing else but move the plot along, I kind of wanted to make them seem real... so I'm trying to add more scenes with them, same with Sirius, even though he's my secondary OC I still like him and he has his own agendas as well, and they ARE important too!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the new chapter :) see you in the next one!
