Rivercourt Rambles
Chapter 29
"This day has been so hung strung emotionally and mentally."
"I need time to myself to think and rest." Brooke announced.
"Why didn't you do this months ago? It fixes everyhing. Don't you see that.?" Lucas questioned.
"I'll drive you home we'll take care of the kids. I'll be able to work from home during you're maternity leave. Maybe even stay home awhile longer. Why not." Lucas added in.
"This doesn't make up for how you've been treating me for months."
"I had no doubt in my mind that you were the father."
"We created these babies out of love and you turned the end of my pregnancy into a nightmare. You pushed me away over allegations and false stories fed to the media by my parents."
"Do you not know me at all? I would never cheat on you." Brooke stated matter of fact.
"We can and will fix this. I'll take off from work. I'll be fully devoted to you and our babies."
"You rest. I'll stay here. To feed and change them whatever they need." Lucas said.
"No I want you to go. Haley is taking me home in a few days from the hospital."
"I love you. But i love my babies more then life itself." Brooke stated matter of fact.
"I'm not leaving you're side. Stop acting like a child."
"Mistakes were made. But i'm here. And nothing matters more then this family." Lucas said.
Brooke felt herself getting upset and took deep breaths to calm herself. But soon her breasts started leaking and the babies started to cry.
Brooke picked up Roman. And started to feed him.
As Lucas picked up their daughter and soothed her until Brooke was ready to feed her.
When Brooke eventually fell asleep.
Lucas called Haley. Once he stepped into the hospital hallway.
"I've got it from here. Brooke and I need time and space. Just us and the babies. I'll drive her home. And spread the word."
"We have enough going on without visitors stopping by." Lucas explained.
