So, first off, I want to apologize for taking a while on this. A little depresso over the whole no job thing. Because of the no job thing, I had to give up and drop my college classes ( woohoo... not really though) So even though I have all the time in the world, I just couldn't think of anything. So thanks to people who reached out on me on tumblr to make sure I was okay.

No beta, all mistakes are mine.

Luckily for Itachi, Sasuke came willingly once he approached his younger brother. He was, of course, at Naruto's grave the whole entire time the police force was looking for him.

They were inside the interrogation room with Itachi and Fugaku behind the one way mirror. Itachi wanted to be the one asking the questions, but it was brought up that he and his father were too close to the case because of Sasuke's involvement. He was able to convince all parties involved, though, to keep what was being said a secret, to only tell people who needed to know and to not let it run rampant.

Sasuke was sitting at the table, his hands bound and his eyes with seals over them, something they had agreed to prior to Sasuke being taken in. Itachi thought it was a little unnerving that Sasuke was okay with this arrangement, but he wasn't going to say anything.

One of the interrogators came in, made himself known by talking to Sasuke as he sat down. The man was able to tell if people were lying or not just by the flow of their chakra despite the seals on him. He started with simple questions first. Asking Sasuke his name, who he's related to, etcetera. It wasn't for a while that he began to get to the nitty gritty. Itachi, prior to this, asked Fugaku to be open minded. To not be mad at Sasuke for the things he's done involving Naruto. Itachi doesn't know if his father will be open to it, but he at least promised that he would be open minded about it.

The interrogator began to write stuff down before looking at another notepad he had with questions on it.

"Did you put Haruno Sakura under a genjutsu?" The man asked. Saskue was calm and collected when he answered.

"Yes." Was all he had to say. The interrogator began to write down the answer before going to the next question.

"Was it because of what she told Itachi?"

"Yes." He answered once again.

"Why was that?"

"I was angry."

The interrogator felt like he was getting somewhere.

"What did she tell Itachi?"

Sasuke had paused, the man across from him raising a brow, a little surprised by the next answer.

"She told Itachi about the affair I had with the Nanadaime Hokage."

The man across from him paused, a little confused.

"What kind of affair?" He asked Sasuke, who continued.

"The sexual kind."

The man began to write the answer down slowly. Itachi had noticed the man was taken aback by this. To think that the head of the clan's family had something as scandalous as this going on was wild. Itachi turned to look at Fugaku, who had that stern look on his face. He couldn't read his father at the moment and it made Itachi nervous.

"So… there was an affair… is that why you and Haruno Sakura had a falling out?"

Sasuke paused before continuing.
"Yes. She didn't like it because she felt that I would only come back to the village to see Naruto."

Itachi sighed. Everything seemed to be what Sakura said.

"And I would like it if you kept it away from Sarada." Sasuke said, a threat in his tone. The interrogator swallowed nervously before agreeing to what he had asked.

"Was Sakura having an affair as well?"

Sasuke paused by continued
"No. I think she was pretty stuck on me."

Itachi shook his head no, going to the intercom.

"You might as well know, she was having an affair when you were. Or at least that's what I was told."

Sasuke took a deep breath, letting the air go through his nose.

Fugaku looked to Itachi, even more confused.

"So let me get this straight. Sasuke attacks Sakura… because she told you that he was having an affair with Naruto? Who was she sleeping with?"

If I tell you, you can't tell Sasuke because we want to keep him safe."

Fugaku agreed, asking Itachi to continue.

"She was with Kakashi-Sama while he was with -sama reassured me that it was her idea, that he didn't coerce her into anything untoward and he wanted until she was of age before anything."

Fugaku shook his head, surprised by all of this before he looked ahead, the interrogator continuing.

"Okay… So if You were having an affair with Nanadaime-sama, and Sakura was having an affair with Rokudaime-sama, then what about Hinata-hime?"

"I don't know. Last I knew she was still with Naruto. Though, to be honest, I think you should look into her."

The interrogator paused, a little surprised by those words.
"Why her?"

"WIth the things Naruto had told me about her, she was a little bit… unstable." Sasuke explained.

The interrogator wrote all of this down.
"So… Hinata-hime was… unstable? Unstable how?"

Sasuke kept quiet, his face facing the man across from him as if he knew where the man was.

"From what Naruto had told me, She was bipolar, but she wasn't stable. There were times where she went manic and disappeared for moments at a time. It hadn't happened until Naruto and I got together. She was perfectly fine, according to Naruto she was the perfect wife, until he had brought up the idea of him being with me… in that way. Her only stipulation was that Naruto came home to him. There had been times that he stayed over with me and didn't go home and it made her mad. She would yell at Naruto, and the last time it happened, she had threatened to take his kids away from him if he did it again. It wasn't until then when Naruto decided to end what we were doing. It only lasted a few years."

The interrogator began to write all of this down, looking in the mirror to let Itachi and Fugaku know that Sasuke was telling the truth.

Itachi was surprised to hear about Hinata. She seemed like a quiet, proper woman. To know that she threatened such things was a shock to him. He went to the intercom again.

"Where were you the night that Naruto and his family died?"

Sasuke took a deep breath.
"I was with Orochimaru. Naruto had gotten a hold of me, asking me to come home earlier than iI was supposed to because he wanted to talk about this arrangement. I think he was going to call it off."

The interrogator continued.
"Is that when you murdered Nanadaime-Sama?"

"No." Sasuke said quickly.

"Though you have tried to do it before?" The other man had asked.

"Yes, but I was an angry teenager back then. Naruto forgave me for trying to and we reconciled after that. He said as long as I used my power for the village that he would forgive me fully."

"So you had a motive?"

Sasuke was obviously getting angered by the questions that were being asked.
"What motive would that be?" He asked, an annoyed tone in his voice.

"You thought he was going to end your relationship. So you thought that killing his family would keep them out of the way."

"Then why would I have killed him?" Sasuke went on, his fingers tapping the metal table in front of him.

"I don't know why you would. I'm surprised you have had in the first place."

"Exactly." Sasuke said quietly.
"Maybe when I was younger, I would have thought I could kill him. But I have grown since then. I know for a fact that I wouldn't have been able to do it."

"Unless he was taken by surprise, you could have," The interrogator continued.

"Who's to say that Hinata didn't take him by surprise as you put it?" Sasuke went on.
"Think about it. He wouldn't lay a finger on Hinata. His hands were bound and so were his feet. Who's to say that it wasn't Hinata that did it?"

The interrogator shook his head.
"Then why would she try to kill her own children?"

"I don't know. From what Naruto told me, she was insane. From what I was told, Himawari had what… xanax in her system? How high were the doses? Why wouldn't she have a motive? Like I said, she was insane. She basically stalked Naruto growing up. I'm not the only one who thinks this. Ask the rest of her team about her antics." He explained with venom in his voice.

"But you guys assume me? Not Hinata, but me? I have an alibi. Ask Yamato, he's guarding Orochimaru, correct? I was there the night Naruto was murdered. "

The interrogator sighed, writing everything down.

"We will reach out to Yamato, but no matter what, you're still under arrest for attacking Sakura."

"Then so be it." Sasuke finished, going quiet for the time being. The interrogator picked up his notebook and bowed his head before he left. He then went into the room on the other side of the mirror to approach Fugaku and Itachi. Itachi was calm and collected, taking what Sasuke said seriously, but Fugaku looked angry.

"So… is this why he goes missing days on in when he's meant to be in the village?" Fugaku asked his eldest son, who simply nodded.

"Yes. He was with Naruto for most of the time."

Fugaku sighed heavily, too surprised by everything.

"Well, we have to charge him with what he did to Sakura, but if Yamato tells us he was with Orochimaru the night of, then we have to let him go for those charges. This is your case. What's your next step?"

Itachi thought to himself for a moment before he figured something out.

"Find out who Hinata's therapist and doctor were. Ask them questions about Hinata and clear her name."

Fugaku nodded his head.
"That's the best way to go about this, but I don't want this to be released to the public. If the media gets a hold of this, they will run with it and everyone would want Sasuke's head."

Itachi nodded.
"I won't say a word." He said when Fugaku dismissed him to talk to the interrogator.

After the interrogation, one of Itachi's aides came to him and told him that Sakura had finally woken up. Without another word, he went to her hospital room and sat himself down in the same set he was in days ago.

She looked up at him and smiled.

"Hello, Itachi," She said quietly, her eyes half closed, showing that she was a little exhausted by everything.

Itachi nodded his head towards Sakura.
"You're awake," he commented. Sakura nodded her head.

"Yes, unfortunately." Sakura said with a soft smile.

"Unfortunately?" Itachi asked. Sakura sighed.

"I assume you knew who did this… but the genjutsu he put me in was pretty nice."

He was surprised by that. He had done it before, but to think that Sasuke would even though he was angered.
"What was it about?"

Sakura began to blush. She looked away from Itachi.

"Naruto was alive. The whole team was together again, like the old days."

"...even with your relationship you had with your sensei?"

Sakura paused before she shook her head, surprised he had known that about er, but seeing the nature of the case he's on, he would have found out eventually

"No, I was with someone else. And it was great,"She said quietly.
"I just wish this whole affair business didn't happen. If it didn't hurt people, then I would be okay with all of this, but it apparently is the reason why Naruto is dead." She said quietly, tearing up a little bit.

Itachi scooted the chair closer, reaching out to hold her hand.

"We'll get to the bottom of this, we promise," He said quietly.
"Though I have a question for you. You had mentioned that Hinata didn't like this arrangement. How opposed to this was she?"

Sakura chuckled, though it sounded a little more bitter than she let on.
"She had threatened to take the kids away from Naruto a few times. All because Naruto spent more time than she wanted with Sasuke. Naruto told me about that before he passed away. Why?"

"No reason," Itachi commented with a sigh.
"I need a favor. I know that this is meant to be a secret, but do you know who Hinata's doctors were?"

Sakura nodded, though a little confused.
"Yeah, I know who they were. Why? Is she a suspect now?"

Itachi kept quiet about that.
I just need to know who prescribed her the medication and her therapist."

Sakura nodded.
"Her doctor was Shizune. Her therapist was Yamanaka-sensei. Not Ino but her uncle."

Itachi thanked Sakura, keeping a mental note of what she had told him.
"Thank you," he told her. She blinked, a little confused, but didn't question it.

"You're welcome… Why are you here?"

Itachi thought to himself for a moment.
"Sarada went and got me. I'm the one who took you to the hospital. I wanted to make sure you're okay. You did have other guests," he stated honestly.

"Oh? Well thank them for me," She said quietly.
"How long are you here for?"

Itachi smiled fondly
"As long as you want me here for,"

Sakura grinned at that, feeling a lot more comfortable now that Itachi was here.
