Fates Changed Chapter 8: Wave's new begining,Chunin Exams starts, a naruto fanfic

Well, it took me long enough to find my muse once more for this story. I'm also working on a Harry Potter fanfic but I put that one on the back burner for now…I don't even have the first chapter done. You all know the deal I own nothing but the OCs. Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.

As Naruto looks off in the distance with a hand over his heart as the Battle for Wave begins. Kakashi and Kurenai engage with Zabuza. Kiba, Sai and Sasuke charge in to fight with Haku. Hinata, Sakura and Shinsato stays with Tazuna who is checking on his workers. Several Pure Hill Warriors stand at the rear waiting for orders.

The sound of steel-on-steel snaps Naruto out of his thoughts. He looks around and sees Sai is once again out cold. Kurenai is nursing a shallow cut across her chest from Zabuza. Kiba and Sasuke are trapped in dome of ice dodging senbon and needles of ice. Shinsato battles off a missing nin from Amegakure who tried to get the jump on them. Said missing nin already took out Hinata with a blow to the neck.

'Tou-san what should I do?' He asks Kurama who is watching the fights, calculating how Naruto should engage, when a scream sounds out. Naruto looks over towards Shinsato only to see the Ame ninja removing a kunai from her stomach. "NO!" "Naruto don't use my chakra. Remember if you use to much you'll become a hayno." "I don't care. He hurt Shin-chan!"

Everyone feels the temperature drop as Shinsato falls to the ground and the unnamed missing nin starts to laugh as a chakra claw smashes through his chest killing him instantly. Kakashi looks over to Naruto and sees him cloaked in crimson chakra. Naruto's right eye is black with a red slit while his left is all black. "Naruto! Don't give in!" He tries to run but Zabuza blocks him. "Your fight is with me."

Inside the seal Kurama is trying to break free of the cage as Minato stands still in shock at what is happening to his son. Kushina is laughing up a storm. Dark Naruto is also standing nearby, but everyone knows that it's not him doing this. "Who is doing this to my boy!? Show yourself!" Kurama yells out as tears fall from his eyes. "You asked for me Kurama. Well, here I am." Kurama looks at the person speaking. "Yami-sama. What are you doing here?" Said deity laughs at the question. "I'm here to give Naruto power to destroy his enemies." Yami tells them with a grin.

Outside of the seal. Naruto charges into the ice dome ignoring both Kiba and Sasuke. Haku stares at his new opponent with fear in his eyes. He tries to fight Naruto but none of the senbon or ice needles get close to hitting Naruto. "Get out of my way!" A single punch smashes all the mirrors and throws Haku broken and unconscious at the feet of Zabuza who is trapped by Kakashi's summons. "Haku get up!" He screams out but Haku doesn't even move.

At this point Gato walks in with his small army of bandits and mercenaries on his payroll. "This is the Demon of the Mist. Pathetic. Just kill him already, you've saved me the cost of keeping him. These guys with me are worth more than him anyway." Zabuza looks at the midget with hatred in his eyes. "Care to call off your dogs?" Kakashi shakes him head. "If I did that Naruto would kill you in a second." Gato looks at the enraged Naruto without a bit of fear in his eyes. "You have costed me a lot of ryo in hiring more swords to replace the traitors. Kill him!" The bandits start charging forwards towards Naruto but something stops them dead in their tracks. The site before them is something out of hell. Naruto is staring at them with a sadistic grin that would give Ibiki a run for his money. His teeth are more of fangs, his eyes are holding no pity for them and his hands are still cloaked in that crimson chakra. But it's his sword that stopped them. Said sword is covered in flames directly from hell.

Naruto's allies watch in fear as he charges into the 300 plus army of bandits and mercenaries. Limbs are removed with force, guts sliced open with precision that only a surgeon could weep at. Gato stands still at the rear watching his merciless army of killers getting wiped-out. By a twelve-year-old genin. Blood, entrails and heads cover the bridge as Naruto cuts his way to Gato. Some of his enemies try to strike him down but not one of their blades hit true.

Sakura turns away from the slaughter to empty her stomach. Kiba watches in fear of looking away. Saskue is standing not in fear but rage. Rage at the power Naruto, the weak, useless dobe in his mind, is showing. 'That power should be mine. It will be mine once we return to the village.' Kurenai is crying at the site of a young child killing so many. Sai, who just woke up, is taking mental notes for Danzo…may be Naruto should run ROOT. Zabuza, still trapped, is trying to break free to run from a true demon. Akamaru is whimpering in fear at the feet of his partner. Kakashi…poor Kakashi…he is just staring no emotions showing in his eye or maybe a range of emotions cycling too quick to id. Tazuna is part of the group watching with respect, happiness, and loyalty.

Inari and the villagers soon appear as the "fight" is over. Gato is being dragged by a still enraged Naruto, crying, screaming, pleading but his words are falling on deaf ears. They open a path to the center of town where the gallows from Kaiza's execution is still standing. "It would be too quick for you. No, you will die by crucifixion." Gato's eyes almost jump out of his skull as the entire village start to chant out the same idea. The uninjured bridge workers with the help of the villagers build a cross worthy of Gato. "Please just kill me! Bury me alive. Decapitate me! Anything but that for Kami's sake."

Naruto just grins. "Kami won't save you. In fact, you should be praying to Yami to try to keep your soul from the darkest reaches of her realm." The cross is finished just as Team 7 and 8 rejoin the village. "Naruto don't do this." Kakashi tries to plead to him but much like Gato's cries for mercy the fall on deaf ears. Zabuza and Kurenai are silent about what is going on, along with the rest of the genin. "The cross is ready for this monster Uzumaki-sama" Atagi tells him with a smile gracing his eyes. "Then place him upon it. And make sure he suffers long. An easy death is not something he deserves."

A few days have passed since Gato's defeat at the battle of the Bridge. Some call it the Slaughter of Greed, others the Freedom of Wave. Everyone does agree that the main savior of Wave is Naruto Uzumaki of Konoha. Atagi and the Pure Hill Warriors, plus some of the Wave Daimyo's samurai, clear out small pockets of bandits still loyal to the corrupt, dying shipping tycoon. Team 7, 8 and Naruto watched over Tazuna and his family.

Team Gai and Team 6 are walking over the now completed Bridge to aide in retaking Wave from Gato. Two mercenaries loyal to Naruto stand at the temporary border checkpoint. Iori draws out a kunai as Gai and Anko approach the two. "Hello. Can you explain why you two are not acting hostile towards us?" Gai asks as Anko holds a hidden kunai ready to strike like a viper. "Well, Wave is now under the control of the Daimyo that Gato kicked out after killing the body double of said Daimyo. Also, we are employed by Uzumaki-sama as the samurai need to be reorganized after Gato's takeover." The two jonin look shocked and signal their hidden genin to stand down. "Can you point us in the youthful direction of Naruto-san and the other teams of Konoha ninjas?" They both just shrug and point down the road. "Take a left at the main square and you'll find Uzumaki-sama's office. Turing right will take you to Mayor Tazuna's office though he is usually meeting with a servant from the Daimyo." "Thank you, my youthful friends." And with that Team Gai and 6 enter the Land of Waves without confrontation.

The two teams split as they enter the main square where the cross-holding Gato, who is still alive and in more pain than any human being should be. Team Gai heads off to find Naruto while Team Six heads off to find the Mayor's office to discuss the payment plan for Wave. They seem to forget that the guards said Daimyo over Mayor who commands the limited patrols of samurai and rules over Wave.

As Team Gai gets closer to where Naruto is staying they hear what sounds like music. "Who do you think is sing Gai-sensei?" Tenten asks for some reason she feels the need to dance along to the song. "I do not know Tenten. Whoever it is has a very youthful voice." Gai responds as he too has the same feeling. Neij is…well Neij. Lee has already charged ahead before the rest of his team finding out who is singing.

Lee is shocked at the size of the crowd but more so that it's Naruto who is singing. The rest of his team catch up just as the song ends. "Alright. Give me and my clones a small break. To the newcomers in the crowd. Welcome to the celebration of Wave's freedom." Naruto tells the crowd as Kakashi and Kurenai both approach team Gai.

"Gai. Can we speak away from here. The Little Sea. Owner is a good friend of Naruto's so we get free drinks." Kurenai informs Gai as Kakashi is still reading a small orange book. "That sounds most youthful for us to hold a conversation." And with that the sensei's of Team 7,8 and Gai head to the Little Sea.

The crowd watch as Naruto and his clones get ready for another song. "We're ready for the next song in this show. Please note that if you wish to give ryo that the Daimyo of Wave will take around 2% of what you donate to the reconstruction of Wave's infrastructure. And with that here we go."

Everyone, expect Neij…you get the picture, is dancing to the music that Naruto is playing. It's an interesting song that the former thugs under Gato could resonate with. "Did you know Naruto was this good Lee?" "I did not Tenten but who cares." They both get back to listening to the music.

Anko is trying to mitigate the migraine that she has dealing with Tazuna who continues to explain that he is the mayor not the Daimyo. "It's a simple payment plan. Just agree to it." Iori yells in a calm voice despite the rising anger inside. "I cannot and will not agree to anything without the Daimyo's word. Please leave my office before I order the guards to throw you out." Team 6 leave without anything given in terms of Konoha getting anything more than a trade partner and defensive ally. They thought it would be simple to intimidate the Mayor but it didn't pan out that way in reality. "I'm going to get a drink. You guys find the other genin here in Wave." Anko orders her team as they go their sperate ways.

As Anko is heading towards the Little Sea, she stops and listens to the music coming from the left of the main square which means it's coming from where Naruto's office is. She finds a crowd of hundreds of people from all walks of life. Bandits, merchants, samurai and…is that Lee and Tenten…yes it is. Anko rubs her eyes a few times to see if this is a dream. "Nope not a dream." She mumbles.

As the song dies down a bell could be heard ring. "Oh shit! That's the Church by the Sea. To arms everyone to arms. Pirates!" Anko watches as everyone starts to panic a little at the sound but soon order comes to the chaos as more of what she thinks are bandits come running out of the buildings nearby and head towards Naruto who is organizing the defense. "Atagi secure the mayor and his family in safe house number three. Shijou, you have the main square don't let them get be on that spot. Shouni take the left beach. Junjii you have the right. I'll take the center with the samurai as my back up. Anko-sensei gather the others, Zabuza and Haku are chained up in the basement of the Little Sea. Good luck everyone."

Naruto and the samurai charge towards the beach as the first group of raiders make landfall. "Leave none of the villagers alive. Take everything from the dead. For Jashin!" Is the battle cry of the pirates as they charge the defenders. "Naruto-san, there's to many for us to handle. What should we do?" The captain of the small contingent of samurai currently within the town informs him. "Aye, there's many of them but number don't equal skill there lad. We'll have to fight like a bats out of hell." Junjii tells him as Shouni just nods in agreement as the only time she speaks is in the bedroom. "No more arguing. They are upon us. For Wave. For the Daimyo. For Yami! Charge!" Naruto leads the charge into the growing numbers of the pirates with the others soon following him.

Anko searches for the Little Sea as villagers make their way to more defended areas of the village and away from the beach. She can hears the sounds of battle over the screams of the cowards pushing and shoving their way through the non-panicking villagers. "Go to the left Anko-san. We're needed at the front." A mercenary informs her as another group of five surges forwards through the crowd. "Thank you. And good luck." He just nods as she loses sight of him. Flaming arrows flies through the sky as the battle gets closer to the village as a whole. Thatch roofs catch fire as a few villagers get cut down with the volley. The genin from all the teams leap into the fray and follow the defenders to the battlefield. "Damn brats are going to get killed. Where the hell are you guys?!" Anko continues to search for her fellow Jonin.

"We can't hold them back Naruto-san. What are your orders?" Naruto looks at the messenger as the battle rages around the two. Swords clashes with shields. Spears pierced poorly crafted leather armor worn by both sides. Axes, hammers and clubs break bones. Bolts from the defenders crossbows try to equal their opponents arrow fire. "My orders are to push them into the sea! Do not let them through!" The messenger nods as more pirates achieve landfall though a few of them were cut down by the defender's crossbows. 'Damnit! At this rate the beach front will fall. Where the hell is Anko and the others?' He soon rejoins the effort of pushing the cultist of Jashin back and dumb pirates who don't know their captains religion.

Kiba and Sai fight back-to-back in a sea of chaos and death. "That's number 12 for me Kiba-san." Sai informs the near feral Inuzuka. "I'm not that much of an idiot Sai. Just keep fighting." Sai just nods as more bodies of both sides join the dead and dying. Sakura, Tenten and Hinata are doing their best to protect the only rout for the wounded defenders to escape from the bloodthirsty pirates. 'We need you sensei.' Is the main thought of the three kunoichis. Sasuke is fighting alone from the other genin, bodies of friend and foe lie at his feet. "Come on you weaklings. You're fighting an Uchiha elite." He charges forward deeper into the chaotic field of battle, leaving unconscious foes behind him. Neij is controlled over his position on the field not pushing forward nor falling back. He's a small rallying point for the defender's close to him and a target for the enemies who wish for pillage and slaughter. Lee is a storm that is unmatched, arms are broken, legs shattered, and heads are twisted in unnatural ways. No one dares to charge the Green Storm of Death. Shinsato is nowhere to be found on the field for she is still recovering from injury.

Shouni is the first of the leaders to fall, her body filled with arrows and covered in cuts to prove how strong the former bandit chiefess was. Junjii and his berserkers fight with the strength of ten men, fighting their way to her body. "Don't let these monsters hurt her body. For Yami! KILL THEM ALL!" Junjii yells at his warriors as they slaughter their way to where Shouni fell. One by one, they too fell into the embrace of the Shinigami. Junjii is the last one of his berserkers to fall but he reaches his wife's body before dying of his wounds. The pirates and raiders charge over their bodies without care.

Naruto looks around the field with three samurai guarding him. The sounds of battle and of the dying ring in his ears as his men are getting pushed closer and closer to the village. The jonins are nowhere to be seen or heard. Zabuza and Haku have made their presence known on the field but it's not enough. "Fall back. Protect the wounded as we retreat from the field. I'll give you guys cover." Several of his lesser officers try to pull him back with the others but he doesn't move. "Just go. I'll be right behind you." Naruto informs them as they start fleeing with tears rolling down their face. He turns towards the encroaching horde of killers, rapists, pillagers, ready to lay his life down for Wave and her people.

The pirate admiral of the third largest fleet in all of pirate history, not counting the fleet of Gold D Rodger or that new guy Krieg, stares on as his men start fleeing the beach. Wait…this isn't a crossover…is that arm flying towards him wanting a high five? More and more pirates are returning to the fleet with their tails between their legs, well those who can. Naruto is a monster, he leaves nothing alive near him at all. The beach already painted red is permanently stained with the color of blood thanks to him.

Kakashi leads the sensei's to the beach just as the last pirate leaves the shore. "Did you win Naruto?" Anko asks in shock at the bodies littering the beach and shoreline. He just nods as the rest of the defenders who were uninjured in the fighting also return. "Damn. There's more bodies here than my graduating exam when I became a genin of the Mist." Zabuza tells everyone with a whistle. "Let's just clean up and count our dead over comparing kill count." Naruto says with a sad smile on his face for the families ruined by the bloodshed today.

A few days later The Wave Teams are returning to Konoha at the same time as the S-rank mission teams from the other villages are leaving. "Hey, Kotetsu these guys did a mission here right?" Naruto ask one of the Eternal Gate Guards. "Correct. Sigh out here please and sign in with Izumo on the left." The Jonin do just that and the others do the opposite of them. "Now all of you get a week off. Save for Naruto, we need to discuss your insubordination on the mission." Kurenai informs them. "Hai, sensei" The rest of the genin head out to their homes as Naruto and the senseis head to the Hokage's Tower.

Taguchi Sarutobi watches from her desk outside of her cousin's office. "How can I help you today Naruto-san, Sensei's?" "We need to talk with the Hokage about something Naruto did a few times on our mission in Nami." Anko tells her with a small sneer on her face for making her team look bad. Kakashi sighs as Gai just nods in agreement with both Anko and Kurenai. "His meeting between the Merchant and Mercenary Guilds just finished and he's currently working on paperwork for an upcoming surprise for the Genins." She informs the senseis of Team 6,7 8 and 9.

Hiruzen waits and listens to the Jonin instructors who tell him about Naruto's insubordination. The only one not talking is Kakashi. He's not going to condemn Naruto nor is he going to defend Naruto either. "This is going to have to be taken to the Council. Taguchi, please summon them." "Right away Hokage-sama" Taguchi leaves to do just that as the ANBU in the office look shocked behind their masks. "The Hokage would never throw Naruto under the bus like this. What is going on?!"

Nine hours. Nine long, painful and slow hours. Nartuo's patience is almost gone. Everyone from the Wave mission save for him and Atagi, who is speaking with a construction company, has been called to see the Council. "Naruto. Come on in. They reached a decision." Taguchi tells. "I was never called on to give my side of the mission." Taguchi looks at him with a sad smile. "I know. Don't know why that is but I know that it happened." He just nods as he enters the lion den that is the Council.

"Welcome Genin Uzumaki. The Council has voted on your punishment for your insubordination." Hiruzen tells him with a neutral face. The Red scarfs on the Council are grinning ear to ear while the Orange ones are downcast in their looks not knowing that Naruto and Hiruzen planned this from the beginning. The Neutrals just don't care, they have better things to do. Naruto stiffens at the Hokage's voice. "With a vote of 12 to 8 the punishment is removal from the Shinobi Program for 6 years. What it means that no missions or any form of Shinobi jobs, no jutsu training or chakra usage for those 6 years. Jiraiya and the other seal master's will seal all of your chakra come tomorrow. There's no chance for change in this decision." Hiruzen looks at Naruto and tries his best to read Naruto's emotion but he can't. "Why wait. I'm here so why can't we do it now?" Jiraiya walks out of the shadows with a smile on his face. "I second this." Koharu voices her opinion with a grand smile on her face.

Unbeknownst to the Seal masters who are escorting Naruto to the Chamber of Sealing, the Chamber changes to a gallows housing the three past Hokages, heroes of the Leaf alongside other heroic shinobi from the past Three Wars. And they sing along side Naruto. Akuma mumbles "Obito…I miss you my love." A lot of the shinobi watching and guarding the Seal masters see this mirage style genjutsu. Tortoise turns to Neko. "Inform Ibiki that it's time. We need to get him out of here before they seal his chakra." Neko nods and disappears as The Seal masters start stripping Naruto of his clothes.

In the Sarutobi Clan Grounds Hiruzen sits and watches his clan prepare for the Great Leaf Cleansing. "How many of us are going to make it pops?" Asuma asks his father. "All of us my son. None of us in the Sarutobi clan wear red and you must remember that it's going to be quick and silent, no one outside the walls of Konoha will learn of this. I hate to say it but Danzo will make sure of it."

Across the village Anbu, Root, Jonin, and Chunin loyal to both the village and the Hokage begin to eliminate the Shinobi Red faction one by one. The Clans do the same with the Kurama clan only having two civilians survivor at the end of the Cleansing. The shinobi side of their clan was elsewhere during the Cleansing. Tsume is removed as clan head and replaced by her sister till Hana is over 40 or Jonin in rank. The Nara, Akimichi, Yamanaka help with removing the stain in each other's clan. The Hyuga Elders are poisoned by Branch Members and die slowly till the following morning sun rises. The two clans who take zero losses in this event are the Sarutobi and Aburame. The Uchiha only lost three members on the civilian side of the Founding Clan but it's a sad day for them because of how low their numbers already are.

Koharu watches with her Root bodyguards as the Sealing is almost finished, not knowing what is going on outside of the chamber. "We just need to apply chakra and the demon is sealed forever." Jiraiya informs his fellow seal masters. No one hears the small sound of blades on blades behind the closed door. Anbu and Ibiki charge through the door backed up by Atagi with a few Pure Hill Warriors. "Stand down or face the Hokage's justice. This sealing is over." Ibiki orders. "Root hold them off. Jiraiya finish this!" A small battle ensues between the two groups that's short and bloodied. None of the Koharu's Root survive the exchange but a few of Naruto's men don't survive the short battle. "It's too late, we've introduced chakra to the seal. Naruto has no chakra for six years." Jiraiya laughs as he starts choking on his blood. Everyone watches as his body poofs into a cloud of smoke revealing that it was a Blood Clone, which is a Forbidden Jutsu invented by Madara Uchiha.

Within the upper levels of the Hokage Tower an injured Jonin runs for his life. He charges into the main office of the Hokage not seeing Danzo and Homura sitting down, waiting for this to end. "Danzo-sama, what in Kami's name is going on?" Danzo looks at this Jonin with distain. "A cleansing of the Great Tree's branches is what's happening my dead friend." Two kunai strike and kill the surprised Jonin in the chest making him the last one to die. "Is it over?" Jiraiya asks the two. "Yes, but did you have to apply chakra to the seal?" Jiraiya just nods yes to Homura's question.

Hours go by as the Revied Council debates on what they should do to rebuild the Shinobi into a true fighting force over the glorified mercenaries they currently are. "Reenacted the only law that Madara Uchiha created for the village." Shikha tells the councilors rather lazily. Said law basically gives all the power that the Councils use to hold into the Hokages hand until the Shinobi Force is raised to War time numbers. It'll take until the start of the Chunin Exams for them to do so but the gains will outweigh the cost. If their desperate for funds they could just send Naruto out on a musical tour of Fire Country or ask for donations from their allies.

A few days before the Chunin Exams

A small armed mob of civilians approached Naruto's office/apartment building. Naruto bought said building a couple of days after the Cleansing. Despite the best effort of all involved with that day quite a few retired shinobi slipped through the net. This group is one of them and nobody will stop them because ANBU patrols are focusing outside of the village and the inside patrols have already passed this area. Two guards of the revived Uzumaki Yakuza stand watch outside of the building. They noticed the mob but before they could sound the alarm a second group rush them with knives and first blood goes to the mobs.

Naruto is sitting in his office four floors up from the entrance currently looking over his income from Wave and Whirlpool Shipping. Screams and the sound of fighting reach his ears as the door to the office bursts open. "Boss we under…argh!" His soldier falls with a…is that a butcher's cleaver in his back. Naruto stands up drawing his blade as the crazed, blood covered civilians charge into the office. He weaves through them cutting, killing them. Like a farmer harvesting wheat with scythe, bodies liter the ground both his own men and the civilians. The numbers begin to swing in his favor once he joined the fight. The crescent moon in the night sky is dark red and the stars which normally shine with an innocent shine are dull and mute in shining tonight.

Come morning, a patrol of five Jonin and seven Chunin comes across the scene just as Naruto and his men start cleaning up the mess of bodies, blood and broken furniture. "What in Kami's name happen here?!" one of the Chunin yells out. "What does it look at? We were attacked without provocation and took care of it with no help from you!" One of Naruto's men screams at the group of shinobi. Before anyone could come to blows over this Homura walks out of his house, which is next door. "Please stop yelling. Let's wait till I call a meeting to investigate what happened last night ok?" Both groups nod in acceptance of what the Elder is saying.

The twelve-year-old yakuza boss is sitting behind his rebuilt desks looking through paperwork while three lieutenants stand on the other side sweating bullets. "Hmmm, the Loyalists in Kirigakure need extra weapon shipments, I'll ask Zabuza to handle that. Haku is asking for more recruits for his medical program…I think Tsuchi no Kuni has some orphanages we could use. The scouts in Kaminari are quite, I should send someone to check in on them…maybe one of you failures to do so!" Naruto slams down the small stack of paper on the desk. "S-sir, we-we didn't think to place-e-extra guards because of the fear after the cleanse." One of the lieutenants stumbles through explaining what they didn't do. "I don't care what you thought you should've done! Now get to working on fixing it!" "Yes boss!" Three yell and leave the room so quickly you think they have Swift Release.

Outside of the building of Naruto's HQ for both legitimate and illegitimate walks of life, stands 14 warriors that do not match with Hi no Kuni and its climate. Said warriors are dressed in what looks like felts from different animals native to Tsuchi and other steppe lands. Recurve bows can be seen strapped on their backs with a curved saber style sword. (AN think Genghis Khan's Mongolian warrior) Sitting next to these fearsome looking warriors are just as fearsome looking dogs. Dobermanns, pit bulls and rottweilers are next to their owners with a ropes leash holding them in position. Both civilian and shinobi wither under the glares from the warriors and dogs alike. "Akhmad. Your men are tasked with escorting me to and from the Hokage Tower. The only ones that are going to part of this duty are the four ANBU agents behind me." The Akhmad looks behind his Khaan to see Akuma, Crow, Shrimp and Eagle waiting for the orders to march. He nods in agreement with the extra guards but motions to Naruto that if one of the four betrays them he and his won't stop to think and will just kill said traitor. "Thank you Akhmad for your loyalty. Let's move before the dogs get to anxious." And the group leaves the area with laughter as the dogs...cough the civilians...are none the wiser on the insult.

On the walk to the Tower, a couple small time yakuza thugs from the smaller family that call Konoha home watch the group with distain at the idea of a new family. The Iesuke group currently control the import export business for weapons, drugs and slaves. Naruto's move into weapon smuggling puts the two at odds as his weapons are of better quality. The female lead Kitsushi yakuza has a strangle hold on the production of illicit substances. One of Naruto's lieutenants has eyes for growing and understands how to create better plants for opium and marijuana farms. The Norimichi Yakuza is the only one out of the now four criminal families with positive relations with Naruto. Saigou leads the branch of the family inside the walls of Konoha. It also helps that he is one of Naruto's teachers for running a criminal syndicate.

Far away in the cold Land of Snow

The Yukikage looks down at the army of mercenaries hired by Doto charge up the paths he and his FROST units protect as the rest of his shinobi joined Doto in the coup. 'Forty to one. Good odds for us to die.' He thinks to himself as the third wave of cheap swords charge their defense. Volley guns fired by samurai loyal to Princess Koyuki rain down kunai cutting the first rank thin. "That was the last of our ammo. What now?" An unnamed captain asks him concerned at the loss of his men. "Easy, we fight and become Soldiers of Heaven." The Yukikage tells the captain with a sad smile.

Doto watches on in awe and horror as his army of mercenaries, traitor Yuki shinobi and samurai die in droves from an avalanche caused by an airship loyal to his niece who has fled the country but not by the now blocked mountain pass but by the only port city in the Land of Snow. "You have won for now little princess but our war has only just begun." He mumbles out as the survivors return to the capital.

Back in Konoha

Naruto looks at the representative of the Fire Daimyo try and explain why his tribute must be larger than the other Yakuza clans. Try being the operate word as he is failing to do so. "Please listen to what I'm saying Uzumaki-san. If you don't the tribute the Daimyo will order his samurai to hurt your business within Fire Country." Naruto ignores the false threat as he knows that the current Daimyo will not sign that order. "Are you done playing with your lies yet?" He asks to the shock of the representative and his guards. "What do you mean?!" One of the two samurai asked in anger. Naruto raises an eyebrow with an expression of 'are you serious'. "For one, you are wearing the colors of the Earth Daimyo and your companion is in the colors of the Wind Daimyo. Second, if you were sent by the Fire Daimyo then you would've demanded to see and not ambush me on the way to a small meeting with the village's Civilian Council. And finally, you wouldn't be under the watchful eyes of the ANBU." He informs them with a smile. "Naruto-san, the Council is ready for you" A chunin tells the group as they reached the doors to the room where the meeting will take place. "Thank you, chunin-san" He says while bowing to the chunin in question with a grateful smile. The chunin smiles back and opens the door as a few ANBU agents block the three following him. "Ibiki would like a word with you three." Is all Naruto hears before the doors close behind him.

Inside the room sits the Civilian Council along with Danzo who looks at Naruto with greed in his eye. In three chairs next to the door sits Naruto's legal team. One is a tall dark colored skin toned middle aged man with a dark colored two-piece suit. Next to him sits an older gentleman in a dark green suit with a gray suit jacket over top holding a rather large scroll. The final person who sits to the right of the first man is another middled aged man with a tan skin color in a black suit with a white undershirt. "Ah Naruto so glad you could join us." The older gentleman says with a nod. "Thanks for taking my case Winston, Charon and John." Naruto sits down in the middle chair of his legal team. Danzo pales at hearing the names of the team. "You hired the Continental Legal and Ransom?!" A civilian yells in horror. Naruto just nods as Winston gives Danzo the scroll he was holding. "In the scroll is a list of crimes my client is holding this council responsible for against him and his." Danzo opens the scroll and starts reading as the rest of the council yells and screams at Winston and Naruto. After 10 minutes of reading the scroll Danzo sighs unhappily. "You are free to go Naruto…just know I'll be keeping my eye on you until the Exam is over." Naruto smiles. "As will I Danzo, as will I" They group of four leave the room as the civilians turn to yell at Danzo.

"Thank you for your help Winston, Charon and John I will be in touch with a mission for your skill set later." Naruto tells them with a short bow. The three return the bow as Akhmad along with his men surrounded Naruto in a protective matter. "I have a meeting with Hokage-jiji in a few minutes and I will see you guys later." Naruto with his guard walks away from the three. "So, John what do you think of Naruto Uzumaki so far?" Winston asks with a small smile. "I think he'll make a great ally and friend with the right training from me, you and Caine." John responds as said blind assassin appears from an alley to the groups right. "I have to agree with you John my brother. Also, Tracker would like in on training him as well once he gets back from Lighting Country."

Naruto is walking with his guards back to the Headquarters for the Uzumaki Yakuza Clan when a poorly hidden square shaped explodes a few feet in front of them revealing Konohamaru, Moegi and Udon. "I think you used too much black powered Udon." Moegi coughs as Konohamaru looks at Naruto who is trying not to laugh. "My calculations were off only by three Moegi" Udon argues in between coughs. Naruto signals his guards to continue to HQ so that he can spend some time with his young pranking pupils. "So, Boss want to play Ninja with us?" Konohamaru asks with puppy dog eyes which Naruto just laughs, ruffling the Hokage's grandson's hair. "You don't need to ask every time you get away from Ebius-sensei." The three Academy students pout at being found out that they ran away from class.

Sakura finds the group of four near one of the many training grounds built around the village. She watches Naruto play Ninja with the Academy students with a twisted grin. "Why are you three playing with the biggest loser in the village?" Konohamaru looks at her with confusion at the question. "Is she your girlfriend Boss, I thought you were dating Shinsato?" He asks as Sakura looks at the kid with growing anger. "She's just a former teammate and not yet Kono." Naruto tells the small kid as he ruffles Konohamaru's hair. "Good. She's way too flat and looks like a total asshole." Naruto and Sakura look at the Hokage's grandson with shock. "Run little boy, RUN!" Sakura yells at him before they all start running in fear of the pink haired genin.

Konohamaru runs for a good five to ten minutes before bumping into someone. "Ouch you dumb brat!" He feels his body being slammed up against a nearby fence as an arm is across his throat. "Be quick about this Kankuro." A female voice reaches Konohamaru's ear as the world slowly turns black. "Drop the kid right now" Naruto growls out as he comes across the scene. "And why should I Tree-hugger?" Kankuro asks with a sneer as he presses harder against Konohamaru's throat. "Because I won't kill you and your friend without any problems for me as that's the Hokage's grandson your choking." Temari's eyes widen in fear. "Do it before Gaara finds out." Kankuro drops Konohamaru with a small chuckle. "Fine but I can't wait to hurt you later Tree-hugger." They soon leave as Naruto checks on the coughing Konohamaru. "Let's get you to the hospital." Naruto carries Konohamaru to hospital to get his throat checked out.

After dropping Konohamaru at the hospital Naruto makes his way back to the HQ of his Yakuza family. He looks at the villagers who either ignore him or look at him with disgust and hatred. "Why should I care about what they think of me and mine Kurama?" "Simple Naruto, because it's good for business and they are gullible sheep. It'll take a few years but you can get them on your side better than any previous Hokage ever could with the right skills." Naruto nods at Kurama's wisdom as he enters the HQ. "Welcome back Boss." One of the door guards greets him with a small bow and a smile. "Thank you, now where is Zabuza and Haku currently?" He asks with a small bow back. "Upstairs and to the right of your public office Boss." The guard responds. Naruto nods and continues up the stairs smiling. He knocks on the door to the room the guard said Zabuza and Haku are in. A grunt is heard from the other side as Naruto enters the room.

Zabuza looks up from the desk as Haku stands in the corner to his left. "What do you need Boss?" Haku asks as Zabuza continues working on the paperwork in front of him. "Information on Sunagakure and their finical problems." Haku nods before disappearing in a shunshin. "Anything else?" Zabuza looks up from his paperwork to ask. "Start training the men in counter invasion tactics and house to house combat." Naruto tells the former Demon of the Mist who has a raised eyebrow look as he doesn't have any. "Sure thing." Naruto nods at the response before leaving the room to find Atagi.

Naruto finds Atagi in one of the barracks on the floor above the public disguise for the criminal side of the company. "Atagi, I need to talk with you." Atagi nods and follows Naruto out of the room without waking up the small amount of sleeping enforcers. "What do you need Naruto?" He asks Naruto as they enter a small office. "I need you to find some trustworthy men to watch Konohamaru and the Sarutobi Clan compound without Hiruzen knowing." Atagi nods and leaves to begin his search as Naruto heads to his room as it's going into the late evening hours.

The morning sun crests over the forests of trees and homes of Konoha as the night patrols of ANBU turn in for the end of their shift. A small group of rouge ninjas slowly makes their way towards Naruto's building. "Target is on the fourth floor, third door on the left once you get inside." A soldier from the Iesuke group tells them. "Good to know." One of them tells the soldier before a tanto slices said soldier's throat. "But double check that we weren't paid more by the target." A different one tells the dying Iesuke thug. "Fuck you." He manages to gurgle out before life fades from his eyes. The group of rouge ninjas disappear into the alleys and head towards the back entrance to meet with Meizu and Gozu for their payment.

Naruto wakes up without knowing how close he was to an assassination attempt that was stop by Meizu and Gozu. He starts eating breakfast when a message scroll appears in front of him. "Wonder who sent this?" He asks out loud as he opens said scroll.

Hey Boss Naruto,

Hope this message gets to you safe and sound but my mission in Mist is getting harder as the rebels have begun investigating our involvement with Yagura and his loyalist. No attempts on my life nor our men have happen yet but the rebels are closing in on a victory which could spell trouble for Konoha in the future.

I'm requesting more men and extra shipments of weapons for both our men and Yagura's. Think on it before you do so Boss. Outside of that my mission is continuing to be successful as the Akatsuki have no clue we are here. Their agents are easy to spot and kill in the streets of the cities under the control of the rebels and pinning it on them at the same time.

Good luck in the Chunin Exam. Show them your bloodline and what you can do. Let them fear and respect you Boss.

Naruto reads the scroll a few more times before burning it to ash, insuring his spy's identity within Mist. 'So, Mei is moving in my operations and Yagura is on the backfoot in terms of weaponry but not manpower or territory just yet. I'll send a few more of my rogue nins to Ao and Yagura to shore up my lines within both Mist and Water country before ordering the coup against the Water Daimyo.' He thinks as his apartment door opens to allow his secretary in. "My lord, I have the training and recruitment reports from both Zabuza and Atagi. I also have the business reports for our casinos, bars and brothels if you wish to read them." He nods to her as she lays said reports down on the table while giving him a nice view down the front of her shirt. Naruto shakes his head at the display before waving her away.

After making a few clones to look over the reports, Naruto goes out to find his two teammates for the Chunin Exams. A few civilians whisper different insults and what he could to himself behind closed doors. Naruto ignores all of it as he finds his teammate. "You Krug Bloodaxe?" He gets a nod with a small growl from the man. "And what's it to ya?" Krug asks with a snarl in his tone. "I'm Naruto, your teammate for the Exams." Naruto tells him without baking away in fear. A grunt is Krug's response to the statement. "Alright, stay out of my way during the combat portion and we'll get along." Naruto just nods as the two go off to search for their third teammate.

Up in the Hokage tower, Hiruzen watches Naruto gather his team for the Exams with a smile. "I'm glad you have two teammates for this Naruto. Now, Danzo what can I do for you?" He asks without turning around from the stone that he uses to watch the village. Danzo frowns at being caught before sighing. "I need you to disqualify Naruto's team after the first test of the Exam." Hiruzen looks at Danzo with a raised eyebrow. "Why should I humor your request?" "It's not a request Hiruzen." The two stare down each other as their hidden bodyguards prepare to fight each other. "Request denied Danzo. Now get out of my office before I kill you." Hiruzen orders with steel in his voice. "No. Take them." Danzo tells his Root Anbu who engage the Anbu under Hiruzen's command with brutal efficiency.

In under five minutes, only one Anbu is left standing for Hiruzen while Danzo has lost all of his Root bodyguards. "This isn't over Hiruzen. I will be Hokage by the end of the Exams." Danzo tells him in a furious voice as Danzo leaves the office. "Don't pursue him Dragon. He learned his lesson for now." Dragon nods before looking at his dead team. "I will take my leave to bury my comrades Hokage-sama." He says with a bow before leaving the office. Hiruzen nods sadly at seeing some of his friends taken away once more before their time. "What has happen to you Danzo my old friend." He whispers tearfully before looking back into the sapphire blue orb to continue watching Naruto.

Naruto and Krug find their last teammate at one of the training ground built for genin rank shinobis. "Prak Jaws I'm going to assume?" Naruto asks the rather tall genin who responds with a grunt. "Forgot to tell ya that Prak here can't talk." Krug informs Naruto as another grunt leaves Prak's mouth. "I see. Let's make our way to where the first part of the Exams are as it starts in a few hours." His two teammates nod in agreement before the three walk off towards the Academy.

As they approach the testing the floor they notice a group of genin trying to intimidate other teams from not going to the Exam. "Drop this pathetic genjutsu and let me pass you worthless fools" A voice behind Krug that sounds very smug and narcissistic. "Damnit Sasuke. You're a fool and know thanks to you we'll have to fight even more of the foreign genin teams." Naruto yells rounding on Team 7 as Sasuke's face turns red in both anger and embarrassment. "Shut up Naruto-baka! Sasuke-kun is strong enough to fight all comers to these Exams!" Sakura screams as their civilian teammate shakes his head in regret. "You will all fail to overcome your Fates. Especially you, Uzumaki." Naruto snaps back around without any of his bones cracking even everyone believes he should've. "What the fuck do you mean by that?!" He growls angrily at the older genin. "Names Neji Hyuga and what I mean is that once a dead last always a dead last." He smirks as his two teammates back him up as Prak draws his two hook like blades from his back. "Calm down Prak, Boss got this." Krug whispers into his ear as Naruto doesn't respond. "Then lets test that theory during the Exams. Come on team we got better genin to meet as these fools aren't worth my time anymore." Naruto tells his teammates with a grin on his face as he shoulder cheeks Neji pushing the older genin backwards a few steps. Neji stares at their retreating forms as Lee engages Sasuke in a spar.

"How do you want to do this Boss?" Krug asks with a toothy grin as Naruto looks at the door leading to the First test. "Prak, kick the door down." Naruto orders as Prak moves to do just that and with a grunt he kicks open the door. Said door flies off its hinges from the strength of his kick and the wall next to a team from Kusagakure now has the door impaled into it. "Nice job Prak. Now with that who wants to try intimidating us?" He asks with a sneer on his face as Krug sits down at one of the desks and starts sharpening his ax. No one moves for a few minutes as Team 7 and Team Gai enter the room. "Guess the gang is all here." Kiba speaks up as the other rookies from Naruto's class approach him. "Looks like it dog breath." He says laughing with Choji and Kiba. "Sasuke-kun!" A blonde haired missile slams into said Uchiha almost knocking him off his feet with the force of her body. "Get off of him Ino pig!" "No forehead" The two rivals start yelling at each other as the other genin just look on without worry. "You guys shouldn't take this Exam so easily." Naruto looks at Kabuto as he walks towards them with a smile. "Hello Kabuto-san, how's the hospital and a certain scaly pet of yours doing?" Kabuto grins at the use of codewords from Naruto. "He's doing fine and the hospital is doing well though I wish your people would stop sending bodies to the morgue so often." Naruto gives him a menacing grin. "No."

Ibiki Morino soon appears in a small cloud of smoke to the scene of Naruto, his two teammates and a few other genin playing a game of Five card poker. "So whos' winning?" He asks with a grin before receiving the same answer from everyone at the table. "Naruto." Naruto just smiles as he lays down another winning hand. "Oh, come on!" One of genin from Amegakure groans out in frustration at losing another hand. "Be glad we aren't betting money in this game everyone, else I'd be in a world of hurt." Naruto chuckles as he puts away the deck of cards so that Ibiki can begin. Ibiki glances over at the other genin from Naruto's to see Kabuto being helped up by Choji and Kiba as Sasuke is glaring at the genin from Otogakure. "Alright you maggots sit down and listen before I get angry!" He yells scaring everyone in the room to sit down at the desks and listen to the rather tall jonin.

He soon gives the rules or rather his rules as the Hokage gave Ibiki some leeway with the rules for the First part of the Exam. Naruto looks over at his two teammates as one of the proctors places the written test to pass the first part of the exam. "You have two hours to complete as much of the test as you can. We will be watching for any cheating on the exam which if caught you and your team will be taken out of the exam." Ibiki informs the Chunin hopefuls. "That's bullshit!" an Iwa genin yells out in protest. "Guess team 34 has been eliminated before the test can begin." He says with a grin as the three Iwa genin are escorted out of the room.

In said two hours all of the Iwa genin teams are eliminated and none it has to do with the still around hatred from the two villages. Kumo has only two teams left out of the six they sent to keep the peace between the major villages. Mist sent two different teams, one loyal to the Mizukage the other loyal to the rebel faction. Both teams are still in the exam. Suna has only Gaara's team left thanks to Temari stopping Kankuro from trying to use his puppet. Out of the minor villages brave enough to send a team, Ame, Kusa and Taki remain with one team each though Taki's team got to continue by shear dumb luck. The host village has the most teams remaining despite Ibiki's best effort. Eight out of the twelve teams isn't that bad for his second time being the proctor for the First Test. He frowns at seeing the three Oto teams passing with flying colors. Another thing that has got his attention is Naruto's team as they passed without any form of cheating. 'How the fuck did the so called dead last of this generation pass my test?!' He mentally screams to himself as Naruto just grins at him.

Naruto and his team got through by doing something no one ever thought of doing before. He bribed a couple of the chunin proctors into giving him the answer key. Why nobody thought of doing this before or even bothered checking to see if anyone of the proctors were bribed is just confusing to Naruto. 'Shinobi win by any means so bribery is on the table of victory, guess no one remembered that just yet.' Naruto thinks to himself as Ibiki gives him and his team a death stare.

After a few more minutes of the stare down between Ibiki and Naruto does one the windows break. The remaining genin all turn to see a smoke bomb fly in a couple of seconds later releasing a purple color smoke. A few genin who saw combat take cover behind their desks as a banner comes flowing through the smoke reading 'Presenting the Second Proctor, Anko Mitarashi!'. Ibiki starts shaking his head as said person soon appears from the smoke grinning like mad. "Good job Ibiki not as many teams unlike last year where you had more than 15 teams." She says while laughing like mad. "Don't push your luck Anko. Remember who signs off on your crazy interrogation techniques." He says with a small grin as Anko looks downcast at the statement.

The genin teams all look deadpanned at the two proctors as they argue. "Well, you maggots it's time for part two of the exams. Follow me to training grounds 44 otherwise known as the Forest of Death." Anko says with a sadistic grin on her face before jumping out of a different window she entered from. "Ibiki quick question, did she just jump from a fourth story window without using any charka?" Kiba asks in concern. Ibiki just nods as a few of the teams begin to leave the classroom via the door and not the windows.

Soon all the remaining genin teams for this years exams are standing outside of the gated training grounds of the Forest of Death. "Anyone else see the sing that reads 'Abandon all hope ye who enters here'?" Sakura asks no one in particular as everyone is watching Anko talking with a tree. "Very true Treebeard but what can I really do…I'm not trained in pest removal." A tree branch taps her on the shoulder making her turn around to see the teams. "Good job on getting here. I have five rules. Rule one, do not open your scrolls that you will receive upon entering the forest. Rule two, don't hurt the trees to badly as many are somewhat sentient in that they can feel pain. Third rule, if you see a giant brown bear missing a right eye just run. Forth rule, stay away from the trees covered in webbing as the giant spiders are hungry. Final rule is don't die a stupid death by ignoring the first four rules." She watches the genin teams writing down the rules on notepads…where did they even pull those out from?!

Naruto grabs the consent form being passed out while Anko lays down the rules. He reads it with a fine look at any clauses inside that would harm him and his teammates in the short term and long term if they survive the forest. Krug and Prak just sign theirs without a care knowing that Naruto has their backs if something comes up. After a few more minutes of reading, he passes back the form to the sweating chunin. Said chunin looks at the bottom of the form to see Naruto's signature. "Thank you Uzumaki-san." He says with bow, totally not pocketing a small roll of cash, nope.

Soon the teams spread out to the different gates that make up the fence of the Forest of Death. "This is going to be very fun kids, Good luck, and don't die!" Anko yells to all of the teams before blowing a whistle that opens all of the gates at the same time. The Second Part of the Chunin exams now begins. Let the blood flow and bodies drop.
