{Today was a very special day…}

A red sneaker would stamp itself down on the marble tile below. Over the leg where the shoe fit was a pair of black jeans which led up to a military green hoodie with red trimmings along the zipper and a similarly red colored gas mask symbol within a circle on the hood. Over that hoodie was a black blazer with gold buttons and cuffs. And over all of this was a round head with a ragged mess of brown hair with a pair of dull green eyes.

Lifting his gaze, the boy found himself staring up at a mostly brown building with its top layered over by blue with cyan lining, almost like it were a blanket over it.

{This high school I'm looking at…? In all honesty, it always seems like it towers over all the other buildings in the city. Standing directly in the center of the city… It's almost like it actually stands in the center of the world. It's an institution built specifically to nurture and grow the best of the best of each generation. A government-funded school of privilege. Managing to graduate easily guaranteed you to be set for life. With hundreds of years of tradition, it sends the cream of the crop into the work force every year. It was built to raise hope in the nation's future. Which makes Hope's Peak a pretty fitting name.}

Lowering his head, he looked down to his shaking hands. Gulping, he lifted his attention back toward the school.

{There are two things you need to attend this school... One, you have to already be attending high school. Two, you have to be the very best at what you do. No ordinary student could enroll here. The only way in is if you're scouted by the school itself. And standing there at the gate of the ultimate school filled with the ultimate students…}

"...was me."

The young male let out a shaky breath, shaking his head gently.

{Ah. Before throwing you back into my little monologue, I should probably at least give you a name. My name is Makoto Naegi. I dunno if you got a good look at me, but I'd describe myself in the mirror as the average of average.}

The now named Makoto would raise his hand, scratching at the back of his head.

{Grades, quirks, and personality. If you asked me if I had anything special when it came to those…? Your guess is as good as mine. But, going on like that is pretty depressing, huh? Sorry. I just figured it best to introduce myself right off the bat.}

"Man… I still can't believe I'm standing here."

Makoto lifted his gaze back toward the building. Walking forward, he reached toward the gate. But, in a moment's hesitation, he stopped. Swallowing down, he looked over toward his shaking hand. Clutching his fist tightly, he took in a deep breath.

"No. No more shaking, Makoto. This time, you're going to…"

{I'm a student here. I do belong here. So. This time, I'm going to…}

Makoto stopped, wincing as he felt his vision… Blurring. The world seeming to glitch out. Staggering backward, he grabbed at his head gently. His eyes widening, he reached toward the gate again. But as he did, he found that it felt further and further.

{I'm…! Going to…!}

Before Makoto could reach forward any further, he found himself falling unconscious. His vision completely swallowed by the darkness.

{Huh?}

Makoto lifted his head, having found himself laid out in… Nothingness. Groaning, he would slowly push himself off the ground. Standing up straight, he would glance around to the darkness.

{Where… Am I?}

As his eyes followed along with the darkness, soon a few white lines would make themselves known. All seeming to… Lead somewhere…

Allowing his eyes to follow the path they inscribed, When he had, the thing greeting him was…

{A door?}

While a million questions ran through his mind upon sight of it, Makoto found himself drawn to it. Felt himself... Needing to open it.

{Wait. Why do I need to open this door…?}

Makoto shook his head gently. No. He had to hurry up. He did not know why… But he knew so. Reaching forward, he grasped onto the handle. Twisting the knob, he would pull open the door.

For an instant, his vision was completely obscured by a white light. Though, after it finished, Makoto found himself standing in the middle of… A bedroom. When he had, his eyes would widen. Almost as if in realization.

{That's… Right. This… Is my world.}

Makoto would turn to the side, opening the door to the room, he would step out into the living room. Walking past the dining room table, he would glance out toward the window on the other side. Staring out at the city below, the window filtered by what looked to be iron bars. Sighing, he reached into his coat pocket.

{I've been trapped here for a year now. The only clue I may have to what may be happening… Is this.}

Drawing from his pocket, he would be looking at a small green cylinder. On the front of the cylinder was a black frame with a green shape made into what looked like a tanuki's face.

"...what does it mean…?"

𝐃. 𝐁. 𝐃. : 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫

"Let me out of here! LET ME OUT!"

Slamming on the front door of the apartment, Makoto cried out for someone. Anyone to open it and release him from captivity. When after a few times, nothing came up of it, he let out a sigh and began to walk away from the door.

{I know I said I got trapped here a little bit ago… But. I'll be completely honest. Even now I still have absolutely no clue how or why I'm here. Everytime I think about it, my head hurts. So… I kinda just let it go. But, don't get me wrong. I haven't given up on getting outta here. If I did, I wouldn't be getting ready each morning for the day I finally get to go outside. One thing I know for sure though…}

Looking over in the direction of the door, he let out a huff. Picking up the remote from the coffee table, he would click on the television. As he sat down, he frowned at what began to play on screen.

On the screen stood two, a rabbit and a bear. The first being half white and half pink, the other having black as its alternative color. Regardless, on their white sides, they both had a black button-like eye and the other was red. For the rabbit, it was still button-shaped; for the bear, his red eye was shaped like a serrated blade. Almost like it could grab onto it and use it like it were a weapon.

The two of them both were dressed in formal wear. The rabbit in an elegant pink dress and the other in a blue suit top with a red tie.

Leaning forward, they both spoke up into the mic standing between them.

`Heeeeeeeelllloooooooo~‼ I~ Am Monokuma!`

`Um. I'm… Monomi.`

While the bear spoke confidently, the rabbit would be fidgeting her little paws against one another.

`Together we are… The Monokumas!`

Makoto leaned to the side, resting his elbow on the armrest with his hand over his chin.

{Every day, these little skits are really all that come onto the TV. I find them annoying, but I keep watching out of pure astonishment with how they could possibly make three of these each day.}

`Now, I know it's sudden. Buuuuut, I guess I should show you my amazing mind-reading abilities!`

`Eh!? You can read minds!?`

Monomi looked over toward Monokuma with a look of bewilderment, who would begin to rub his chin as he met her gaze back.

`As practice, I think I'll guess your favorite food… Let's see. From my reading, it's…`

`Oh, yeah! This should be really easy. It's plenty obvious what rabbits like!`

After some thinking, Monokuma would raise a finger.

`Ca…`

`You're on the right track…`

`...davers.`

Monomi would comically falling over, catching onto the mic stand to pull herself up off the ground. Looking toward her partner in the skit, she would have a tick mark form on the side of her head.

`I WOULD NEVER EAT A DEAD BODY!`

Instead of giving a response, Monokuma would simply turn toward the camera. As a laugh track began to play, he would give a few bows.

`Now, then. It's Monomi's turn!` Looking over toward Monomi, he would jab at her side, `Come on! Do a short skit or something!`

`Huh? W-what!? I-I couldn't do something like that!`

`Aw, well, that's okay. I'll just summon the God of Comed-`

Makoto quickly turned away as he heard the sound of a chime. Bringing himself up from the couch, he would walk over to the window. As he looked outside, his eyes would slowly come to widen as he noticed in the horizon was…

A deep, hazy crimson. Almost as though the sky itself were bleeding. Slowly backing away from the window, he found his lips flapping slowly. Though, no words would escape from them. Only a fit of gasps.

Before he could trip on himself, he would jolt to a halt as he heard a ring of the doorbell. Turning toward the door, Makoto would gulp.

{The first emotion that hit me in that moment was a deep-seated fear for the unknown… But. In the heat of the moment, another came to the forefront. After all, being captive for so long… The chance for that to happen would be enough for anybody to feel the same as I did.}

Immediately launching himself in the direction of the door, he would only stop when he came right in front of it. Banging his fist against it, he would call out to whatever may be on the other side.

"HEY! IS ANYONE THERE!? If anyone is there, please! Please let me out!"

Banging the door over and over again, he would stop when all he received was silence. Leaning back a bit, his lips would tremble. He could feel his voice about to choke back into his throat, until in that next instant-

Standing on the shore of a bright beach was a rather average heighted young man who had his hands in his pockets. He wore white sneakers, blue jeans, and a white dress shirt with a green tie with a yellow half circle symbol with what looked to be a pair of antenna. Over this clothing was a thin-layered, black parka with navy undertones and white trimmings along the hood that ran down the edges of the coat.

On the left sleeve of the coat, there was a patch labeled DGP.

Drawing from his coat, he would look toward the screen of a particular shaped phone. When he did, the machine would let out a few clicks.

﹙Gather Round!

"Hm."

"Hajime!"

Turning their head at the call of their name, Hajime's green eyes would lock onto the pink eyes of a girl with pale mauve hair which opposed his own chocolate.

She wore a dark teal hooded cardigan with gray lining along the hems of the sleeves. Underneath was a white dress shirt with a similarly teal placket over it. Just beneath the collar was a pink bow. Over her legs was a pale-beige skirt, and a pair of black thigh highs which slipped into a pair of crepe Mary Janes.

"It's time to go. A new area's appeared!"

To this, Hajime would let out a sigh. Raising a hand, scratching against the top of his head, "Chiaki, I just saw from the Spider Phone. You're really late on that. Also, where were you?"

"Oh, um. We had a long intermission this time without any areas showing up, so…" Chiaki would begin to fidget with her fingers, turning away a bit, "I may have been playing a lot more Taiko Master than I normally do and… Overslept."

Hajime lowered his hand with a sigh. "What am I going to do with you…?"

Chiaki puffed her cheeks upon the question, raising her arm to grab onto Hajime's wrist. "Whatever! Just come on. It's time to go!"

"I'm coming, I'm coming!"

Just as Makoto was about to back away, he abruptly fell backward upon the sudden appearance of a silver jagged object tearing its way through the door. Sliding downward, it would carve a wedge deep into the metallic plating. Behind it, Makoto would find himself looking at an unfamiliar grey.

"...jyajya…"

"What…?"

Before Makoto could come to understand any further, the blade would be pulled back. And, just as it had, the door would crunch backward. As it had, the frame would drop downward with a powerful kick.

Stepping through afterward was a humanoid figure wearing a red and white kimono. Most notably was that instead of a regular head was almost like a white plant rooted at its black neck. In its hand, a yari spear which was now pointed toward the trembling Makoto.

Taking a few seconds to bolster the courage to move, he would soon turn away. Beginning to crawl away from the creature as he headed toward the dining room.

"W-what is this…? What's going on!?"

No answer was given to the scared Makoto. Instead, the plant-headed creature charged toward him. Jabbing his spear forward. Seeing the attack coming, Makoto would quickly yelp and lunge forward. Rolling forward, Makoto would hop up to his feet. Turning back to face the creature as it made its approach, he would let out a shaky breath.

"S-stay back!"

The creature instead would thrust the spear in Makoto's direction. Leaping out of the way, Makoto would raise his arms up to guard as the spear would stab through the window. Glass shards flinging outward.

As the creature drew back its blade, it slowly turned its head in Makoto's direction. Swinging forward, the boy would have three more jabs to narrowly dodge before slipping under a swing that could have cut him clean in two. A light sigh of relief escaping his lips, he would rush toward the door.

Though, before he could make it out, he would trip on his shoe lace. As he did, the creature following behind him would be struck with the shoe that launched off of Makoto's foot and flew back to him as he tumbled out of the room.

Having caught his shoe as he hit the wall on the other side, he would quickly put it back on his foot while his assailant regained his bearings. Pushing up off the ground, he leapt out of the way from the creature going to stab at him again. Now he was running down the hallway blind.

Unsure of what was happening, he only knew that escape was the best option.

"Where's the elevator…!?"

Makoto called out to no avail, it seemed that he was the only one left on this floor. And as he looked around, he quickly began to realize why. As he passed by one of the other rooms, he would be greeted to the brief glimpse of another man being stabbed to death by another figure just like the one chasing him. Though, the one in that room carried a wakizashi.

This prompted Makoto to run faster, trying to reach whatever exit he could in that instant. When he reached the end of the hall, he found himself screeching to a halt as a flame erupted before him. Cutting off his path, Makoto clicked his teeth and turned back around.

"Damn it…!"

Making a mad dash back toward the way he came, the male would narrowly avoid a swing from his pursuer's spear. Continuing to run onward toward the end of the hall, he would skit against the ground as he made a sharp turn to avoid another wall of flame.

After a few more seconds of running, Makoto would look up to see the elevator coming into view. Moving faster by boost from adrenaline, Makoto would quickly make it over to the elevator. When he had, he would rapidly push his finger against the down button.

While the hope that the elevator would come sooner, the despair of the strange creatures coming closer to him persisted. As the two creatures reached closer, they raised their weapons toward Makoto. The boy slowly turning back in their direction, a cold sweat ran down the back of his head.

Was he going to die here…? Dying to some unknown force for no crime other than being trapped in an apartment room…?

Narrowing his eyes, a sudden burst of defiance would escape from Makoto's lips in the form of a scream. Charging toward them, he arched his fist back, preparing a punch. As this happened, the creature with the spear would lunge forward and stab forward. Makoto, having seen the blade coming, shifted his position to grab onto the spear that was jabbed at him.

Trying with all of his might to pull the weapon out from its hand, Makoto let out a grunt. However, his brave attempt came up short when the other would swing his sword at Makoto, cutting at his arm and kicking at his leg.

This gave the creature holding the spear the opportunity to swing its arms and throw Makoto into the wall. Sliding down the wall, the boy winced in pain as he grabbed onto his now bleeding arm gently. Breathing heavily, he closed his eyes as he prepared for the inevitable…

The two staring at him would both raise their weapons. Both of them going to attack Makoto at once, they both stopped as they heard a ringing noise. Followed by what looked to be the sound of whooshes in the air.

Armed Arrow!

Slowly, the door to the elevator would come to open. The figure within was wearing a prodominantly black bodysuit with several layers of armor with different shades over the legs and arms. Strapped over his chest was silver strappings over his torso armor which lead to a green emblem over his right pectoral. On the emblem was a white carving of a bow and arrow.

Notably was a mask over his helmet in the shape of a plane helmet designed after a sparrow's head, with the goggles alluding to blue eyes. Mostly notably, was a green crossbow that was being slowly raised. As it rose, it became more apparent that green energy was rapidly building up over the tip.

With a swift motion, he would click the trigger of the bow. A green arrow firing off in the direction of the two. Striking the back of the creature, it would be flung to the side. Crashing into the other as the first erupted into an explosion which would throw the other back.

As the figure stepped out from the elevator, he would walk over to where Makoto sat. Glancing toward him briefly before swinging up his bow to fire another shot at the creature before it could rise.

"Hmm… So the Jyamato made it all the way up here. It was good for you I had the suspicion to check."

"Jyamato…?"

Makoto let out a shaky breath as he pushed himself up from the ground. Looking back toward the creature writhing in agony on the ground, he would look back to the masked individual before him, "Who are you…?"

"Don't get the wrong idea and start panicking. I'm not one of your captors. I have come to lend you my aid. You should be grateful."

Makoto groaned as the masked figure stepped in front of him. Raising up his bow, he would place his hand upon the bottom of the handle. Firing it off again, the shot would cause the Jyamato to combust.

Lowering the bow, the figure turned their head in either direction.

"To the elevator."

Makoto was about to question him, but would soon nod and rush toward the elevator. The masked figure coming close behind, they entered the elevator. As they had, he would reach down to his belt. From it, he would pull off the small green trinket attached. When he had, his entire frame would glow briefly with a hazel light before projecting a sparrow-looking symbol off of his form. When this happened, the armor would completely disappear to reveal a man who was noticeably taller than Makoto.

The man was a bespectacled young man with blonde locks that poured off his head. He wore a suit consisting of black shoes, slacks and a suit jacket. His white shirt under having a lapis crossover tie around the neck. Hanging from his breast pocket was a silver chain which hung lightly over the coat.

The man pocketing his hands, he would let out a sigh.

"Seems I had a misconception about the secret mission this time."

"Secret mission…?"

"Oh. Well. I suppose you should be aware since you've now become part of this world. Me saving your life was not out of the kindness of my heart. I had imagined that I would be awarded for my efforts, and unfortunately, they bore no fruit."

"WHAT!?"

Makoto would have screamed at the man, had the singing pain of his cut caused him to retreat into his wince. After the pain subsided somewhat, he looked back in the direction of his 'savior'.

"Ugh… Who… Are you, anyway…?"

"Name's Byakuya Togami."

"Togami…?" Makoto raised a brow, a memory coming back to him. As he thought about it some, his eyes would light up, "You're the heir to the Togami Conglomerate, right?"

"So you know your facts. I suppose I'll give you my condolences on that." Raising his hand, the young man would straighten his glasses. "But if you're only going to stand there and tell me things about myself I already know, then you're being a nuisance."

Makoto clicked his teeth, annoyed by the rude comment. Though, after some thought, he came to the conclusion that it would have ended up this way regardless.

Casting his gaze forward, he would lower his hand back to his pocket. Drawing from it the green trinket from prior, he would slot it into the right side of the silver belt upon his waist.

Set!

As a sound began to echo from the belt, Makoto would jump back. Standing against the wall, he would watch as Byakuya raised his arm across over his shoulder. Slowly hovering it to the side as a green symbol with the giant lettering ARROW appearing beside him. After a second's pause, he would lightly tap his finger against the side of his glasses.

"Henshin."

Afterward, he would drop his hand back down to the belt, pulling at the green buckle's arrow molding to fire it. As he had, a glow would emit from the driver as a circular energy construct would form around his body. As it came to open, it would show the basic mold of his armor. Beside him, the belt would have shot out a triad of arrows that struck the lettering, breaking it apart to reveal the arrow armor. Once it had shown itself, a mechanic arm would form in the air, grasping onto the floating armor and pulling it onto Byakuya's body.

Once it had, Byakuya would once again have donned the form he had a few moments prior.

A wall bust open at the hand of another armore dfigured with similar attire to Byakuya had in his transformation, but this one had a purple helmet with orange eyes and lilac bull horns. Unlike Byakuya, this figure had much more armor over their torso. Several armor platings with orange scarring and silver undertones. While the right glove was still its plain black, the other was strapped with long orange claws with purple metal plating along the glove. Additionally, hanging over his right leg was a purple undercape that was much like the flag bullfighters would wave around.

Held tightly in their hand was a purple sword that had a blade fully reminiscent of a chainsaw. Akin to the armor, it had orange scars along it, and silver undertones. Which, the figure was swinging in every direction to slash through each and every Jyamato charging at him. As one with a tanto in hand going to stab him came in, the figure would grab at their head. Closing their fist tightly, the claws would stab through and cause it to combust. The creature dropping to the ground.

Turning back toward the main group, they would pull the chainsaw blade over their shoulder and scoff.

"Come on, now! You've gotta put up a better fight than that!"

Walking forward, the figure would slash in either direction with their claw. Stabbing forward, they would tear through the one in the front and swing their arm to use the Jyamato's shaky frame as a battering ram to knock back the rest.

Throwing the corpse into the air, he would lift his blade off of his shoulder and slam it down over the Jyamato's body. Cutting it apart, the chainsaw clicked against the ground. Letting it out of his hand to bounce up, he would swing his arm up to grab onto the handle of the sword before making a mighty swing around.

Cutting deep into the heads of each Jyamato he was facing, he would find that it came to a stop when one raised up their yari to guard against the attack.

"Heh. Not bad…"

Raising their claw, they gripped at a black metal plate on the blade. Pushing it up, the blade would begin to spin rapidly as orange energy began to build up over it.

Poison Charge!

Pushing against the guard of their opponent, they charged forward to slam the Jyamato into the wall before them. Clicking at the trigger of the weapon, a growl escaped from it.

"But. Not good enough!"

Tactical Break!

Slashing downward, orange energy burst out from the blade. Slicing apart the yari and next the Jyamato itself. Cutting through the wall deeply, they would turn away as the corpse of the creature would come to dissolve in halves.

Looking over toward the elevator, he saw it open up to reveal Byakuya, who would step out and fire a few shots toward Jyamato charging in. As he came out, the bull-headed figure chuckled. Raising their leg, the cape over his leg would flip in the air before it came down to strike at the shoulder of an approaching Jamato with an axe kick.

"Oi, Nadge Sparrow! The hell took you so long? I had ample opportunity to rack up hella points!"

"Quiet, Buffa. You've always been someone to rush recklessly. What does it matter to you where I've been?"

Byakuya dodged out of the way from a jab attack that was struck in his direction. Swinging his arm to the side, the edge of the crossbow would stab into a Jyamato's chest.

Makoto stepped out of the elevator, Makoto would watch the ongoing scene with his eyes wide. Now there were two of the masked figures. And even more of the 'Jyamato'. As he stepped away from the elevator toward the wall, he would duck down as a few Jyamato leapt out from the front desk. Crawling against the wall toward the door.

"Refugees have been gathering in the café near here! Go there! Here, you're just a nuisance!" Byakuya called out to Makoto, kicking back a Jyamato.

Not having time to make a proper response, Makoto would quickly run out from the door.

"Heh. Look at that. The bigshot ain't even in the top five."

Lowering his hand, he would pull out the trinket from his belt. The one he had was much larger than the one on Byakuya's belt. His body being coated in purple light, a bull symbol would project over him as his form dissipated.

He was a rather tall, muscular man with spiked up black hair with thick eyebrows and brown eyes. He wore a black jacket with gold buttons, and a silver chain wrapped around his neck which hunger just over his white tank top. Blue track pants over his legs with white lining down the sides, there was a white towel tucked in the back of them which hung almost exactly like the mulleta in his transformed state. A pair of geta on his feet, he stamped them against the ground as he turned back toward Byakuya.

The man had already disengaged his armor, looking toward his own Spider Phone with a scoff. "Don't get too comfortable. Knowing him, he's probably looking to find the largest target."

"The Final Boss? Taking the bull right by the horns. I can dig it."

"Well. Whatever he does, we ain't got time to stop now. Wish I coulda took a shit first…"

"Keep your vulgar comments to yourself." Byakuya rolled his eyes, stepping forward as well.

Before they could both insert their individual trinkets into their belts, they would stop as they suddenly heard rumbling from above. Raising his head toward the sound, Byakuya would grit his teeth before turning back forward.

"Damn it all… Guess I ain't gettin' in a shit after all."

'Buffa' would continue onward, though Byakuya stayed behind. Rubbing at his chin softly, he let out a groan.

"Could it be… That…?"

Makoto's eyes clenched shut as the Jyamato locked on him threw their club down toward him. Turning away in a futile attempt at escape, he prayed that in his efforts the inevitable strike awaiting him was not fatal…

…until it never came.

Opening his eyes with a gasp, his eyes were immediately directed toward a figure before him wearing a parka.

"Chiaki! I've got one."

Makoto blinked as next to him would be an approaching girl with pale pink hair. Stopping before him, she would lean over with a few heavy breaths. After a few seconds, she would straighten herself out and offer him a hand.

"Here… Huff. Come with me and you'll be sa-"

Before she can finish, a Jyamato would pop its head out from behind a flipped car. Drawing a matchlock, it clicked the trigger with rapid taps as bullets flared up the ground beneath the two.

Quick on her feet, Chiaki would leap forward. Pushing Makoto out of the way just before the wave could move over in their direction. The other in the parka would swing around the club wielding Jyamato and push him forward as a human shield.

"Huh. Didn't expect any to have guns."

Popping his neck, the male in the parka would toss the limp Jyamato in his clutches aside. Picking up the dropped club, he would quickly throw it in the direction of the gunslinger Jyamato before he could fire again.

As the creature was flung back, the parka male turned around to see the cluster of Jyamato in the distance now had their attention drawn to him.

"Hmm… Can't get you to safety with that in the way."

"Hajime…!"

"I know, I know."

Drawing a device from his pocket, Hajime gained a smirk over his face. Upon closer inspection, Makoto would be able to recognize it as the same device that Byakuya and 'Buffa' possessed. Albeit with a different center. Lowering his hand, Hajime placed the device against his waist.

Desire Driver.

With a ringing sound emitting from it, a strap would eject from the device quickly clicked onto the other side. Lifting his hand, he would have produced a white trinket with its center shaped like a revolver cylinder. Lowering it, he would slide it over the right side of the belt.

Hearing ringing produced by the belt, Makoto lifted himself from the ground to sit up. Looking over in the direction of the person, he would see him turn to the side. Raising his hand toward his face, Hajime made his hand hand into the shape of a mouth and ears with the middle and ring fingers pressed against the thumb and the index and pinky pointed outward.

Raising it forward, the formation would soon break when he snapped his fingers.

"Henshin."

After the calm proclamation, Hajime's hand dropped downward, spinning the barrel on the white trinket before tapping his finger against the trigger of the protrusion on the side shaped after a gun handle.

In that same instant, the Jyamato would charge forward. Rapidly closing the distance between themselves and their prey as they made to strike at the man. Bringing this outcome to a close was a quartet of bullets constructed of red energy swung forward and struck back the front row. While the rest stood back as they made their ring back toward the parka wearing male.

Over Hajime's shoulder floated a white barrel symbol similar to the trinket on his belt with lettering over it spelling out 'Magnum'. This projection would only be up briefly before it had been shattered to pieces thanks to the red bullets that u-turned back in Hajime's direction. As it had, what looked to be white armor with red undertones was now floating in the air in its place.

A triumphant ringing would escape from the belt as an ethereal mechanical arm would appear behind the armor. Reaching outward, it would grasp onto the armor.

Magnum...!

As Hajime's arms lowered, a white ring would appear around his body by the sound of a triumphant cry from a trumpet. Spreading out to cover him in its protruding light which adorned him in a black bodysuit much like the one Byakuya wore. From above would drop down a white mask with red edges along the shaping of the ears.

In timing with the mask clicking on, the arm would swing toward him. Slapping on the armor, it would attach to his outfit. Fitting the top of the black suit with armor plating over the chest and shoulders, with sections split between around the elbows and forearms. Upon attaching, the mouthplate would have shifted from a basic black to having matching white edges and a red ring on the inside.

Last but not least, the final touch thanks to this armor being attached was the blank eyes of the mask changing to an orange-red. Raising his hand, a white plated gun with red undertones would have appeared into his hand.

Magnum Shooter 40X!

Seeing what was produced after the flashing lights came to an end, Makoto would marvel at the figure before him as a matching white and red scarf flew in the wind behind him.

"Come at me."

Ready...! Fight!

Spinning his arms around, Hajime raised his free arm in front of him and rested the gun in hand upon the wrist. Clicking the trigger, he would allow for a bullet to fling forward and strike down the Jyamato in the direct center as the rest began charging.

Seeing this, Hajime lowered his arm and rested the gun over his shoulder. A huff escaping his lips, he chuckled before charging into battle.

Swiping his arm, he allowed his wrist to strike against the next closest Jyamato's neck. Opening them for a kick to the sternum, he would arch himself backward to fire a few shots into those crowding behind him.

Straightening himself back out, he would see that two were jabbing their spears in his direction. Leaping into the air to avoid the puncturing, he would throw out a pair of quickly timed kicks which gave him the ability to backflip in midair over the massive of the crowd of Jyamato.

"He's… Fighting all of them at once…?"

Makoto's mouth was agape as he watched the event unfold. Chiaki, a knowing smile on her face, simply shrugged.

"That's just how Hajime is. He likes to show off. A big climactic fight like this is exactly what he came looking for." Despite the condescending tone laced over her words, Chiaki still had a smile on her face. "But that's why he's my MC."

"MC…?"

"C'mon. We need to get inside."

Whether it was to steer the conversation back on track or to ignore his question, Makoto was not sure. But she was right. They needed to get to safety. Standing up, she would follow after Chiaki as they made a mad dash for Pig✩Boy.

As they ran, they looked up to see that they were in route to collide with charging Jyamato who set their sights on them. Stopping, Makoto would gasp while Chiaki looked in either direction for a way around.

Quick on the uptake, a few bullets would fire onward and strike them down to clear the path. Looking back to Hajime, Chiaki gave a brief smile before turning back towards Makoto.

"Come on!"

"R-right!"

Continuing in their escape, they cleared the floor for Hajime to continue his battle. Spinning the gun in his hand, he swung it forward and knocked down the Jyamato directly in front of him. Simultaneously, he would turn to the side to catch the spear jabbed toward him. Pulling his weight forward to throw the holder off balance and strike them in the chest with his foot.

As his foot struck, the black heel of his boot would burst with red light and give a massive pulse as it launched the Jyamato back through the crowd like bowling bins.

"Tsk tsk. We've got too many for a real highlight."

Raising the gun in his hand, he would pull at a red protrusion at the end of the gun shaped after a red fox tail. As he did, the black core of the gun's cylinder would begin to light up with a bright orange as it whirred to life.

Bullet Charge...!

As the Jyamato were recovering from the flurry of blows suffered from the fight prior, Hajime would cruelly unload the charged energy from the gun upon them. With a swipe of his arm, the gun would rain down a flurry of orange flickers which would wash over the street beyond. Flush out the image of the creatures with a crude light which signified their demise.

With anguished cries of 'Jyaa' echoing through the air as a massive explosion would cover the place where they all once were emerged over the scene.

In the protection of the guarding rail of the staircase, Makoto and Chiaki would drop down to avoid the brush of flames that briefly crawled along it. Raising their gaze over the barrier, they looked over to see Hajime slowly turning from the dying flames to see some Jyamato emerging in the distance.

"So, just a little more, huh?"

Tossing aside the 40X, his hand would lower toward the belt. Just past the Magnum trinket was a black protrusion sticking upward that Hajime pressed his thumb against. When he had, the center of the belt tipped downward. Moving his arm downward, he would spin the center until it ended up in a way where Magnum was on the opposite side of where it had begun.

Revolve ON!

Rushing forward, Hajime would lean forward as he made to begin cartwheeling forward before leaping into the air. Having dodged several bullets from the Jyamato along the way, Hajime gave a chuckle as the belt emitted a white glow. A silver ring emerged over his body, breaking apart into several rings that would run along his form before white light washed over his figure.

As one of the rings passed over Hajime, it would be revealed that his form had completely changed. Having lost all of the armor on his upper body, it was clear that it had moved down toward his lower body. Unlike the top, the bottom would be almost entirely covered in white with red lining as along the heels were what looked to be a pair of barrels like the 40X.

While flipping through the air, he would drop down toward the ground with a heel striking against a Jyamato's head. Sending them straight into the ground, he would throw his leg upward to throw it aside before kicking down the next with a forward kick. Immediately after, he swung his leg back and pointed it toward the Jyamato directly behind him. From the barrel on his ankle, a bullet would fire off straight into their chest.

About to kick down another Jyamato, he stopped when he heard a loud cry in the distance. Turning back, he would look to see Buffa emerging from the hotel building just beyond. Throwing the Jyamato held over his horn into the air, he would swing his sword downward to send it straight into the ground.

As he held it down, he used his foot to push down the plate on the chainsaw. As he did, he raised the blade as it began to rev rapidly. Orange energy building over it which was like a thick syrup that dripped over the body of the Jyamato, burning through it like acid.

Tactical Break!

Clicking the trigger on the chainsaw, he swung his body around and slashed through the next few that came the hole in the wall, being struck down by a massive wave of orange energy. As they attempted to walk through it, they would find their bodies would have gaping holes where the energy touched.

Falling to the ground, the bodies of the Jyamato would be in segments that fell to Buffa's feet. As this occurred, Buffa grumbled and stomped his foot against one of their severed heads.

"Tch. What's the matter!? Have you lost your fighting spirit!?"

Stepping out behind him was Nadge-Sparrow, who had his bowgun lowered. Glancing over in Buffa's direction, he sighed.

"It seems we've cleared out the Jyamato in here. We should hurry. The Jyamar Area is narrowing."

Buffa turned back in the direction he had been referring to. Seeing Hajime in the middle of battle.

"Geats is here…? For what reason would he be-"

"Doesn't matter! Let's get in there!"

Annoyed at Buffa interrupting his train of thought, Nadge-Sparrow followed after. When they had caught up to Hajime, he would give a huff before throwing a roundhouse kick toward a Jyamato beside him.

"Took you long enough."

He raised a knee to knock down one of Jyamato focused on him whilst more would charge in after Buffa and Nadge-Sparrow.

"The Jyamato quantity is increasing!" Nadge-Sparrow commented as he fired a pair of arrows in either direction.

Buffa gave a triumphant laugh as he swung his head in either direction to catch the Jyamato who dropped from the ceiling above and throw them to the ground. Stabbing his chainsaw into them, he would slash through both before continuing to barrel through the swarm ahead.

After some time fighting, Hajime stopped as he heard a scream from behind. Turning toward the restaurant he had sent Chiaki and Makoto into, he noticed that from within, the lights flickered.

Clicking his teeth in annoyance, he turned to rush toward the establishment.

Makoto's breath would be shaking as it dropped in heavy loads from within his throat. Sweat trickling down the sides of his face as he leaned forward slightly, the ahoge on the top of his head drooping down to accompany his deflated mood.

Raising his attention toward Chiaki, his mind was thrown into a loop when he saw her with a relatively calm expression in comparison. How was she so calm in this situation!? He saw nothing but death and destruction outside. The city overrun by monsters.

No. Actually. Now that he got a good look around. It was not just Chiaki. It was everyone. Everyone other than himself was rather calm. As if nothing that was going on outside even happened.

"Hello! Will that be a table for two?"

"Ah, n-" Chiaki's denial was immediately cancelled out by the growling of her stomach, "...yes."

Lifting himself up, the brunette would grit his teeth. Makoto marched over to the counter and slammed his hands onto the table, much to the surprise of the clerk and Chiaki. Looking directly into her eyes, Makoto would raise his right hand from its place upon the table and point towards the outside.

"How can you be so calm!?"

"Sir, I'm afraid I don't understand what you m-"

"Have you not seen all the monsters outside!?" Makoto cried, "They're everywhere! All over the place! And here you all are acting like nothing is happening!"

Chiaki stood awkwardly as she looked over to the other people in the restaurant, who were looking back toward the commotion. Makoto's outburst was brewing a lot of unwanted attention. Ah. She wish she brought her handheld…

"Sir, you need to calm down."

"Calm down!? How can I be calm with what's going on out there!?"

As the woman continued to try and pacify the panicked Makoto, Chiaki moved her attention away from the two to look around the scenery. She did find it ironic how peaceful it was in here compared to the outside. Though, she did not care to call it out at the moment. She was hungry.

Grabbing onto his hood, Chiaki forcefully pulled Makoto away from the counter over to an empty table. The receptionist gave a sigh of relief, while Makoto made some squeaks in protest.

After some resistance, Chiaki would have gotten the boy into a booth and sat down across from him. After giving the back of his head a scratch, getting his bearings, Makoto had lifted his gaze toward Chiaki.

"Do you know... What's happening out there!?"

To his question, Chiaki softly nodded. Reaching into her coat, she would draw out her Spider Phone. Typing on the bottom keyboard for a moment, she soon presented it forward. Upon the upper screen of the phone, it would show various recordings of Jyamato in various forms of clothing.

"We don't know what they are or where they came from. But we call them the Jyamato." Chiaki took in a breath, leaning back in her seat, "And people like Hajime transform into Kamen Riders to fight them."

"Kamen... Riders?" Makoto raised a brow. Why did that phrase sound familiar...? He was certain he had never heard it before.

"Mhm. Kamen Riders are the ones who keep people like us safe." Chiaki smiled, Makoto seeing that her face was rather content. "So, it's okay. As long as they're here to defend us, things will go alright."

Makoto looked to Chiaki's smiling face. Nodding his head slowly, a smile would soon come over his own face, "Yeah... Yeah. Things'll be alright."

He was not sure if he was agreeing, or just trying to assure himself. Either way, he was satisfied.

"Anyway, I was hoping to thank you f-"

Half a scream would sound out as the sound of shattered glass would alert all within the establishment.

As Makoto swung his head in the direction of the uproar, he would see that a trio of Jyamato had forced their way into the café from the window. His eyes widening, he slapped his hand over his mouth before he could scream. Quickly sinking into the booth as he heard the screams of other civilians who were under assault by the Jyamato. Hiding beneath the table alongside Chiaki, he would begin shaking violently as he heard crashing in either direction.

Holding his head tightly as he felt himself beginning to shake, he hoped. Prayed that they would not find him. He had just gotten out of danger before. Please let him be sa-

His hopes went away along with the table as it was kicked off of the hinges holding it to the ground. Flinging across the room over to the other scared, injured civilians who were desperately trying and failing to flee from.

Makoto wanted to scream as he saw a Jyamato standing over the two of them, but his voice failed him. Betrayed him in this critical moment as he saw it raise its arm. Preparing to stab through him with its spear.

What did he do to deserve this...? He was in captivity just before now... Now he was first in life to meet his end at the hands of some monster.

He needed to run. Flee from this area and hope that the next shelter he finds does not become infested with these things. But he found himself unable to make any kind of movement. With force, his entire body resisted any kind of nerve he would build to escape. His desire to run for his life did not register with his body. Why? He was completely unsure. Perhaps it was a sign that he was giving up.

Thus, the blade moved forward. Was this... The end?

With a quick raise of his knee, Hajime threw down another Jyamato before it could finish off one of the civilians. It tumbling aside at the sheer force of the white armored leg as the rider began to work on another pair. Striking them down with a quick chop and back kick.

Turning over and seeing a Jyamato about to try and pick up a civilian as hostage, he swept up his leg, a trio of bullets firing outward from the shin armor to strike down the Jyamato the furthest away. Once this was completed, he lowered his leg onto the body of the Jyamato directly on the ground in front of him. Reaching down to his belt, he would roll the barrel of the trinket on its left side. Pulling the trigger.

Magnum STRIKE!

Grinding his leg against the Jyamato's back, he would stomp again with a force. This force sending out a wave of red energy that would propel Hajime forward. Towards the center where the last standing Jyamato was. As he came down toward him, he kicked his leg forward. A bullet firing out from the leg and piercing through the Jyamato's chest. As this occurred, from the point of impact, the Jyamato's chest would project a red target mark.

In a flash, Hajime's boot would strike true into the center of the target. Sending the Jyamato up into the air just as he landed. It exploding before him as the other Jyamatos would dissolve into what looked like algae.

Standing from where he landed, Hajime would turn toward Chiaki, who was standing up. Bobbing his head to the side lightly, he watched as she walked over. When she raised up her hand for a high five, he responded in kind. Turning over, he stopped as he heard his Spider Phone ring.

Drawing out the item, he would look to see what it had to say.

﹙Secret Mission, Clear!

Just before their eyes, a golden light would flash before a yellow container dropped to the floor. On its top was a grey circle, which would blink red before becoming a white circle with the red symbol representing Hajime's rider mask at its center.

Chiaki and Hajime glancing to one another, the latter would chuckle a bit as he walked over and picked up the item.

"Well, would you look at that. Looks like being the hero paid off after all."

As he slid the top of the container off and threw it aside, it would reveal within a sleek red buckle with a singular handle reminiscent of a motorcycle. Drawing it out, he would toss the empty box aside.

As the yellow box hit the ground, Makoto would have stood, dusting himself off. Glancing over to Hajime, he was about to walk over himself when he was stopped by a sudden rumbling of the earth.

"A-an earthquake!?" One of the surrounding civilians cried out.

"All of you stay in here for now, this is where you'll be safest." Hajime advised, stepping closer to the door.

With a swift movement of his hand, he slid the red trinket onto the empty side of his Desire Driver.

SET!

The chime sounded from the belt as Hajime once again took on the pose he had just before transforming into his rider form. When the snap came, it echoed across the restaurant with a presence. Lowering his hand, he would firmly grasp onto the handle of the red buckle and turn it backward. A revving sounded from it before he turned it again. Upon the second turn, it would pop open as flames would ignite from both the left and right sides of it and also its core, which was revealed to be an engine.

Afterward, he moved his hand over to spin the barrel and shoot again on the left side. As he did this, red bolding reading Boost would appear beside him. Igniting with flames as the mechanical arm reached over. It exploding in its own flames, it would construct into a slimmer armor compared to Magnum's, with two thrusters on each gauntlet with a blue tint to them.

Dual ON!

With a swing of the mechanical arm, the red armor would attach onto Hajime's form. The black torso being spiced up with some light dabs of sleek red armor to compliment the form. His face mask now having a sleek red border to it along with his eyes gaining a bright yellow shine to them. As it completed itself, his white scarf blew in the wind as the thrusters on his arms exuded flames.

Get ready for... Boost~! AND... Magnum!

Hajime would give a huff under his mask, one that would make clear that under his mask, there was a smirk on his face.

With a downward swing of his blade, Buffa would watch the last Jyamato in the crowd he was fighting fall.

"Hahaha! Now C'MON! Let's see some mo- Huh?"

What Buffa was expecting to turn around to was more Jyamato prepared to come after his head. What he got was Jyamato... Running away. Blinking under his helmet, he threw down his arms in an exasperated sigh.

"What the hell!? HEY! Where are you going!?"

Shouting at them for their cowardice, he only became further frustrated when his efforts were clearly futile. Huffing, he would turn to where he last saw Nadge-Sparrow, who was simply looking in the direction the Jyamato were running from.

"Hey, Sparrow, can you believe this!? The Jyamato are runnin' away! They ain supposed to do that! I thought they're attracted to trynna kill us if we have these things!"

Gesturing toward his belt, he only slumped his shoulders when he saw that Nadge-Sparrow was paying him no mind.

"It's not you they're running from, you pompous dolt." Nadge-Sparrow raised his bow, narrowing his eyes under his helmet. "Something's coming."

"Oh, is it a new challenger!? Well, I accept their challe-EAAAAHHH‼⁈"

Buffa was cut off due to the rumbling of the earth which would throw both Riders and the Jyamato off balance. The two managing to recover after some seconds of calm pass. Shooting his head up towards where they were running from, Buffa raised his sword.

"Well, I'll be damned..." Buffa chuckled a bit, "So we're looking at one of those..."

"Never did I expect one of the rare bosses to appear at what looked to be such a low ranked game..." Nadge-Sparrow would take aim, his finger firm on the trigger.

Just as the two were preparing themselves for battle, both getting the eerie feeling of something approaching. They would pause as they felt a strange breeze in the air. This was followed up by the shade coming to expand over them to ridiculous degrees, prompting them to move their gaze upward.

When they had... They realized the battle had already begun.

In the air was a garguantuan mechanical tiger with yellow as its central color. Its body was aligned with various red crosses that would be along its sides, legs, and even on the sides of the large cannon that was attached to its back. Its tail end being a prism shaped mace, it would whip down on the rooftop it landed upon. The building coming crashing down because of it.

The most notable detail about it? Certainly the manner its face was designed. With one eye that was shielded by white plating, the other was a red cross over a black metal which gleamed brightly as it set its sights on the two Riders below.

As the building it came upon crumbled toward them, Nadge-Sparrow moved back whilst Buffa kicked up the chainsaw in hand. Swinging it upward, he would easily cleave the rubble falling toward him in two, giving himself room to avoid collision.

As Nadge-Sparrow began moving out from the rubble's destination, he would raise up his crossbow. Quickly firing an array of shots up toward the mechanical beast. Who smack them away with its tail before leaping into the air once more.

Spinning with incredible agility despite its size, it would turn midair to face them as it landed on the ground. When it had, its paws would dig into the earth, kicking up a massive dust cloud which would cover the two briefly.

Raising his gaze from the shielding of his arms, Nadge-Sparrow would widen his eyes as a red gleam emerged from the smoke and a claw brushed through. Throwing him aside with a force that sent him tumbling.

Meanwhile, Buffa was able to catch the blow aimed for him with his chainsaw blade. Growling a bit as it caused his feet to sink into the ground some. Pulling back its paw, the mech would raise its other over its head. Slamming it down toward Buffa who would catch again, this time being sunken further in. Which the tiger would continue to do over and over until Buffa's body was halfway into the ground.

Seeing that it had its prey pinned down, a sinister grin came upon its mechanical face. Lowering its head, it was about to snap its jaws over the top half of the Rider's body.

That was- until a few shots struck it at its side, drawing its attention to Nadge-Sparrow, who was struggling to, but still standing.

"Don't you dare turn your back on me...! I'm the heir to Togami name... I will not be treated as anything but such!"

Lowering his hand, he would pull at the trinket on his driver twice. When it sounded, he would raise his bow. It beginning to collect green energy in a swirl. After a few seconds passed and the dust was completely cleared out by this amassment of power, Nadge-Sparrow would click on the trigger.

Arrow STRIKE!

With a few sparkles running through the air, a bombardment of green blurs would rush by as Nadge-Sparrow fired upon the mech. This even stunning Buffa to silence as the entire side of the mech's body would be overturned by green light. The recoil of the blast causing Nadge-Sparrow to slide back a dozen feet, the ground churned by his heels in the process. A loud boom roaring out and covering it in smoke.

When it was all said and done, Nadge-Sparrow would lower his arms. Breathing heavily, he looked to the crossbow in hand which was smoking hot from the flurry it had just released. Moving his gaze toward the smoke, he would smirk under his mask.

"And that is what happens when you cross me, beast. I hope you take it well into... Oblivion..."

Under his mask, Byakuya's eyes shot wide as he saw that from the smoke, the tiger would emerge and seem... Completely unfazed by his attack...

How was that possible!? He overcharged the Armed Buckle just to ensure it would damage it. Was... Was he useless here? No. That was impossible. He was the one who located this exact spot. He was the one who determined where it was show up. How could he-

With a growl, the tiger would glare daggers toward Nadge-Sparrow. The cannon on its back rotating and aiming for the rider, it would glow brightly as it let out a whirring sound. Winding up, energy would begin to build throughout the barrel. Before after a few seconds, it would finally shoot out in a burst that would explode into a massive wave. This wave would completely overtake Nadge-Sparrow's form. Engulfing the entire city beyond that point in one fell swoop.

"NADGE-SPARROW‼" Buffa cried out as he saw his fellow Rider hit by the blast.

When the lights died down to a few sparkles, it would be revealed that the city was in shambles thanks to that attack. The two buildings just ahead having an indenture in them in the shape of the curves the blast took as it fired off.

At the end of the 200 mile crater dug by the blast was laying Nadge-Sparrow, who would be coughing profusely. Trying to command his body to stand, he would find that he simply could not. His entire frame sparking with red energy. Soon, the color would dissolve from his armor before it completely dismissed itself.

This left a beaten and bloodied Byakuya Togami lying on the ground, staring towards the sky of the cruel world that allowed his defeat.

"This... Can't be... I..."

Reaching towards the sky, he attempted to make a grasp for it. His efforts in vain as his body lost the strength to hold it up any longer. The arm dropping as Byakuya's eyes slowly came to close. When this occurred, his entire body would dissolve into blue pixels along with his ID core. Leaving behind only the Driver. Which went that struck the ground, it would dissolve into pink pixels and fade into the opposite direction.

﹙Retired!

That was the last thing Buffa wanted to hear from his Spider Phone at that moment. Growling to himself, he would raise his blade and stab it into the ground. Using that as a leverage to pull himself out to face his foe properly.

Raising his sword toward the foe, he grit his teeth.

"I'm gonna make you pay for that... YOU HEAR ME‼⁈"

The tiger roared out as it swung its claw at Buffa once more, who would catch it in time. This time stomping his foot and propelling himself onto the the arm of the beast. Taking the initiative to run up the beast's arm quickly after, it would try to stop him by slashing at him with its other claw.

To which he responded by jumping into the air and stabbing onto the back of, the tiger stomping back in pain as it swung the claw around with Buffa on it. The Rider being thrown into the building beside them with a cry.

Tumbling through the rubble, he would quickly recover his standing. Leaping out toward the tiger, he raised his sword over his head as he swung down toward the claw coming at him. Catching it against the chainsaw blade, he raised his hand to push up the slider of the hilt. The chainsaw revving to life as he swung downward.

Tactical Break!

As his blade began to cut into the claws of the tiger, it would swing back its arm to throw Buffa off. The bull fighter landing on his feet, he narrowed his eyes under his helmet as he watched the tiger stagger.

Glancing at its side, he would notice that the armor plating over it would be sparking with green electricity.

"So you did go out with a bang, huh...?" Buffa would once again rev up his blade, "You hear me... SPARROW⁈‼"

Charging forward, Buffa would anticipate the swipe that the tiger would attempt to strike with. Dropping his weight downward, he would slide under the oncoming assault. Quickly barrel rolling to regain his footing, he would rush around the cat to its side. Leaping forward, he would close the gap between them. Throwing his arm forward, he would stab into the center plate with a loud cry.

As it felt the impact, the tiger would let out a howl that rang through the streets. Growling, it attempted to swing its body to throw Buffa off. But the bullfighter would still hold strong. Affirming his grasp on the blade.

Realizing the futility of the action. It would then leap over to the side, slamming into the office building beside it. Buffa grit his teeth under his helmet as his body ached from crashing through the establishment. Still holding his ground through, he lowered his hand toward his belt. Turning the dial of the trinket, it letting out a growl.

Zombie... STRIKE!

As the tiger had gotten out of the building, it beginning to crumble under the force of its body, Buffa would crunch against it. Bracing himself for impact as a pair of skeletal hands would be shaped by a purple energy which would project from Buffa's armor. Grasping onto the plate that Buffa stabbed into, it affirmed his grip on the tiger.

Once the shaking of the tiger came to an end as it stood upright, Buffa would take his chance. Clicking on the trigger of the blade, the chainsaw would begin to whir faster.

Tactical Break!

With all of his strength, Buffa would swing downward. The blade cleaving through the armor plating with haste, it left behind a deep orange glowing scar on its side which caused the tiger to step back with a loud roar out into the skies.

As Buffa landed on the ground, he would be met with a wild swing of the tiger's tail which threw him aside. Crashing into and bouncing off the edge of the road as if he were a stone on water, he landed right in the crater where Nadge-Sparrow had fallen with a few tumbles.

Pushing himself up off the ground, he would turn over with his eyes narrowed under his helmet as he saw the beast once more.

With a loud growl as its side sparked brightly, it would lower its cannon and take aim towards Buffa. As the barrel charged with red light, its red eye gleamed as its lips curled into a malicious grin.

Buffa, meanwhile, had let out a few heavy breathes. Raising his sword toward the beast, he would stand tall before the oncoming danger.

"COME ON‼"

At his demand, the beast would stamp its feet into the ground, unleashing a second shot of its blast which would hurl straight toward Buffa. The bull Rider raising his blade in preparation to guard the oncoming attack, he stamped his back foot firmly into the ground as it came approaching. Widening his stance to brace for impact, he showed now that he was physically and mentally prepared for the attack coming his way.

As it whizzed toward Buffa, a flame would burst out suddenly just before it struck between them to make impact.

As Hajime left out, Chiaki would send him off with a smile and wave. Meanwhile, Makoto let out an exasperated sigh as he looked over to the door. Raising an eyebrow, he noticed that the opening of the door was beginning to be blocked by a similar barrier to the Jyamar Area, except it being golden in color. Looking to Chiaki, he would point toward it.

"W-what is that?"

"A safe area."

"Safe area?"

Makoto's nerves calmed some with the words spoken. Glancing over to the barrier again, he let out a soft sigh.

"Hey..." Makoto spoke up, "What exactly... Is even going on here?"

"A game." Chiaki answered simply, her face returning to its neutral state.

"G-game!?" Makoto swung his head toward her in shock, "How can any of this be considered a game!?"

"Well. I guess you could say it's more of a battle." Turning her head toward Makoto in kind, she would give him a serious expression, "For us to take back the world."

"Huh...?" Makoto paused, taking in a breath as the words she spoke sunk in. Stepping forward, he ran a hand through his hair, "W-what do you mean!? Are you saying that there's those things... The Jyamato, everywhere!?"

"Yes, I am." Chiaki was unnerved as she informed Makoto, "But across this world, too, are the Kamen Riders. They're the ones who play their cruel games, and take back the world they took from us."

"Kamen... Riders..." Raising a hand toward the side of his head, his eyes would widen as for a brief instant. A thought flashed into his head. One that was strangely foreign to him at first, before becoming natural. "This is... The world he made..."

"He...?" Chiaki turned toward Makoto, raising a brow.

"The one who kidnapped me. The one who kept me locked in that apartment for a year..." Makoto slowly lowered his hands as he recalled the thought.

His mind was soon drawn to a gymnasium... It cold, quiet, and damningly silent. The reason for that was not because of any lack of light. But because of whose presence Makoto was in at the time...

"Monokuma."

At the mention of the name, Chiaki's eyes widened.

The tiger's internal systems alerted it of danger as before its very eyes a flame would burst out just before its cannon shot would land its mark. Stepping back in shock at the unfolding of events, it at first would not believe what it was witnessing.

"Haaa!"

The burst of flame would quickly reveal itself to be Hajime, who was being propelled forward by the thrusters on either arm which rippled the air behind him. Launching forth one of his fists, it would strike with the blast at its underbelly with such a force a burst of red would emanate from his knuckles. Letting out a war cry, he would swing his arm fully upward.

The show of strength against the tide would award him with the deflection of the blast high into the air, it detonating up above their heads and blowing back the surrounding debris in its force.

As Buffa had recovered from the whiplash of the sudden event, he looked toward Hajime with a dropped jaw underneath his helmet.

"H-huh!? Geats? Where did you come out from!?"

Hajime turned back toward Buffa with a smirk under his helmet, "Decided to come in at the right time for the save."

Clicking his teeth in annoyance as Geats gave him a thumbs up, the taller Rider stepped forward with a growl.

"Hey! Don't go mockin' me!" He pointed toward the shorter with a huff, "Besides, that's my kill anyway! Go save somebody else."

"Buffa, stop." Geats spoke calmly, stepping forward. Reaching his hand up, he poked against Buffa's chest. "You're barely in any condition to fight that thing anyway."

As if right on cue, Buffa's entire frame would cave around the finger that poked him. The bull groaning in pain before dropping to his knees, his entire frame rattling before finally his transformation undid itself.

"Tch... Guess ya got me, this time..." He weakly accepted defeat.

Nodding, Geats would turn back and leap out from the crater. On his landing, he would flick his wrist a couple times. The hand still smoking from punching the blast from earlier. Turning his head back in the direction of the tiger, he would get into a fighting stance. Preparing to rush towards it and begin the fight.

"Here we go."

Beginning to rush forward, he would almost comically fall over as suddenly the tiger would spin on its heels and begin rushing off toward the distance. Shocked by this, he began to give chase and try to launch himself forward to grab onto its tail.

Though he was only met with himself falling to his feet on the ground.

"Eh- Wha...? Huh?"

Geats shook his head lightly in disbelief at what had just occurred. The enemy had just ran away!? What on earth... Sighing, he would reach down toward his belt. Pulling the Boost trinket out from the side, he would rev the handle twice. After it let out a roar sounding like an engine, he would reattach it to the belt.

Boostriker!

A similar roar sounding in the distance, a red blur would rush by before stopping next to Geats. When Geats turned his attention toward it, it would be revealed as a motorcycle that was near identical in coloration to the Boost trinket. Having a quadruple of blue tinted thrusters on its end, they would let out a burst of flame as Geats hopped onto the bike.

As he had planted himself on the bike, the center core of his Desire Driver would gleam brightly. As it gleamed, the bumper of the bike would gleam similarly. At that instant, just over the black windshield would appear Geats's symbol.

Revving the engine, Geats would push forward to give pursuit of the tiger.

Just ahead, the tiger would be racing forward, making a number of leaps and turns to try and throw off its pursuer. These efforts would soon be proven futile as Geats would use the crevices in the ground from one of the tiger's leaps as a ramp to get onto a rooftop to race forward on. Closing the gap between them even further as he now rode in parallel to the tiger.

Glancing over to his side, his eyes widened under his helmet as he saw the cannon on its back whirring to life. Seemed it was truly dedicated on escaping from him. Well, he was not about to let that happen.

Just as the tiger fired the blast upon him, he would rev the engine and pull the handles upward. Performing a front wheel lift just as it fired, he would click on the trigger of the right handle. The thrusters behind him firing off like rockets to propel him off the building down toward the side of another.

As this occurred, the tiger's red eye would gleam red as it leapt up towards the rider. Geats quickly catching onto the incoming attack, turned on the handles just as he was about to hit against the windows. Kicking on the gas, he would race along the glass and make a sharp turn around the claw that slashed through the window he just passed.

As he rode down, the tiger would try to kick at him with its two hind legs. A swift right to dodge the first kick, a slide to slip past the second. He would be caught off guard by the third, which would smack him off the bike with a force which sent him into the air. Waving his arms around, he gained some control of his body as he was flung. Seeing that the tiger leapt off the wall toward him with a swing of its claw again, he would raise his arch his fist back and punch toward the claw that approached.

As fight and claw clashed, a loud bang would sound as Geats was at first being pushed back by the strike, held in place only by the force of the thrusters on his arm. Gritting his teeth, he would reach over his belt. Again twisting the handle, it would burst with flame as the thrusters on his wrists would fire on in a similar manner.

BOOST... Strike!

Geats let out a powerful cry as his fist pushed back the attack thrown at him. A ridiculous burst of light erupting between them. So powerful it cleaved the building they orbited, it flung both Rider and Mecha towards the ground.

As they both hit the ground, they would tumble, with a light bounce off the ground in Geats's case. As the rider would regain his footing, the Boostriker would skid to a halt as it turned itself for him to climb back on. Which he did promptly, revving the engine and racing toward the arisen tiger.

It growling in response to the rider racing toward it, it would leap forward. Snapping its jaws toward the Rider, its eye blared red as the steel fangs snapped shut with a loud clank.

Seeing this coming, Geats would drop his weight to the side as he slid Boostriker beneath the beast. Just getting beneath his underbelly before making a sharp turn to set himself upright behind the beast.

The tiger hearing the revving of the engine behind it would immediately slam down its tail, Geats clicking his teeth as it approached. Raising his arms, he would guard the tail as it slammed down on him. A crater emerging under the motorcycle.

As it lifted its tail, Geats would hop up off from the seat. The motorcycle below him shifting into its fox form to pull itself from the crater and boost Geats up into the air. A cry escaping from its mechanical lips as the Rider soared into the air.

Hearing the cry, the tiger would spin on its heels, swinging one of its paws toward the jumping Rider to go for a strike at his side.

Geats, seeing the attack coming, would rev the Boost on his belt, the propellers on his arms firing and changing his trajectory just slightly. This change in movement being enough to sway his body, curling around the attack and allowing him to somersault over. As he passed the attack, he reached out to grip onto the oncoming attack. Tightly pulling himself onto the tiger's body as it brought down its paw, beginning to climb the appendage.

Seeing the Rider make this attempt, the tiger would slam its other paw down to strike over its arm. Geats leaping off before it could hit, causing the paw to scratch at the leg of the beast.

As Geats flipped into the air, the fox-formed Boostriker would leap upward behind him, its own propellers flaring up as Geats landed atop of its back. Soaring up overhead of the tiger, Geats would leap off of the fox to touch down upon the tiger's back. Swinging his head backward, he began to rush up the neck of the beast, as his familiar leapt toward the distance.

In a confusion of where the Rider had gone, the creature would rabidly swing its body in either direction to look for it. Slashing wildly at the buildings in attempts to draw him out.

This lead to Geats having to grip onto the manufolds of the creature tightly to keep on. Grunting as he pulled himself up. He made to avoid the incoming rubble and continue his journey. Even leaping off of incoming chunks of concrete to further close the gap.

When he finally landed on the tiger's head, he would let out a sigh of relief. Reaching down toward his belt, turning the cylinder of the Magnum. Crouching down, he would let out a low, long breath as the red trailing down the magnum armor parts on his legs would slowly glow brightly.

With a quick tap, he would pull the trigger on the belt, grinding his foot at the same time.

MAGNUM... Strike!

The untransformed Buffa would let out a huff as he stared into the smoking sky above. Laid back in the crater, gulping in the midst of heavy breaths. Lifting his gaze up slightly, he let out a forced chuckle as he saw a pair of brown boots.

"Ah... So ya finally caught up, huh?"

"Don't say it like that... You're the one who just jumped into this huge city without giving me a clue as to where you were going."

The one who argued back was a short, plump young man with a chef's attire and notably a brown pompadour which resembled a shrimp and leaned toward the left. Over his apron were three silver stars pinned to its right side, while at its center being a large circular symbol, inside of it being what looked to be a reflected letter F.

"You say that, but... Even for you, you took your sweet time." Lowering his gaze, he let out a sigh, "Were you stalkin' girls again...?"

"No, of course not..." The chef would lift a cone out from his pocket, gently running it through his pompadour, a smug grin on his face, "I am merely a chef, my intentions of course are the purest they can be. Serving all a delicious meal, of course. Which packs plenty of... Protein~"

"...you broke your cover there."

Even without looking, Buffa knew that the chef had paused not for dramatic effect, but because he was attempting to hold in his nosebleed.

The next thing the tiger would know, it would feel its entire body shoot downward as a massive force erupted over its head. In the air, a massive bullet chamber constructed of white energy filled with constant red sparks would emerge, erupting in a massive explosion which caused the windows of all of the surrounding buildings to simultaneously shatter.

The culprit of this phenomenon, Geats, had been shot up high into the sky by this act. As he fell down from the air, he would raise out his arms. With a burst from the thrusters, he would begin to rock downward toward the Earth.

Reaching down toward his belt, he would push down on the revolve trigger, causing the belt to turn slightly. Swinging his arm down, he would spin the belt, completely reversing its previous order. With a chime from the belt, a various collection of white lights would shape into a quadruple of rings that would rotate over his body.

Revolve ON!

With a flash of light, Geats' form would snap into a reverse of itself. The Magnum parts returning to the upper body, whilst the Boost armor plating had divided over the legs. The armor focusing heavily around the knees and ankles, from the outer laterals of each leg protruding the thrusters associated with the armor.

Drawing out the Magnum Shooter 40X, he pressed his thumb against a tab on the side of the gun's barrel. The top black protrusion of the gun sliding out to extend, Geats would bring his hand over it, unfolding it and letting it connect to the barrel to form a much longer one. Putting the Magnum Shooter 40X into Rifle Mode.

As the Rider came closer to the ground, the tiger would lift its head towards the sky. After a few seconds, it gave a growl as it locked onto his location. The cannon rising, it began to whirr to life as the blast began to charge up.

"Ready to fire, huh...? Well, lucky for you. So am I." Geats would mutter to himself as he pulled the Boost from the side of the belt.

BOOST!

As it was inserted into the weapon, the barrel of the gun began to sparkle with a bright red light. This light only becoming brighter as Geats turned the handle of the Boost. The air itself around him beginning to haze as he pointed it forward as he continued to drop down. Waiting calmly even as he dropped straight towards the ground.

Once the Rider had reached the tiger's direct line of sight. It would stamp its claws into the ground as it unloaded the full force of the cannon on its back. A massive red beam shooting through the air and rushing through the air in a stream at Geats.

Upon the blast nearly touching upon the barrel of the Magnum Shooter, Geats's finger would press down on the trigger.

Boost... Tactical BLAST!

With a second eruption of a massive bullet chamber construct, Geats would fire forth his own blazing beam of light which would push back against the cannon shot. The tiger's jaw dropping as the stream would push forth with such tenacity that it completely overpowered its competitor. Geats's blast heading straight through the cannon on the tiger's back. Causing it to erupt in an explosion.

The force of which would send the tiger backward, as it had also done to Geats himself. Changing Geats's trajectory from downward to back with an even greater force, the Boostriker in fox form would leap down from a building it perched itself upon to catch him.

As Geats turned himself so his feed would stamp onto the back of the fox, the force of the impact would send them both flying back towards the wall of the building. The crash having such force that the building would crunch inward, the fox clenching its claws to hold the both of them steady.

Reaching his hands downward, Geats would reinsert Boost into the belt. Turning the handle, it would give a loud roar.

BOOST Time!

Revving the engine again, he would spin the cylinder of Magnum and click the trigger. As he had, the fox let out a roar, pushing its body upward to propel the Rider back forward the way he came.

The tiger, tumbling through the streets, would struggle to stop itself as its body bounced heavily against the ground. Tumbling until finally, the side of its body where all of the damage from combined efforts of Nadge-Sparrow and Buffa were delivered onto it became exposed.

As Geats flew forward, he passed through a number of bullet cylinders. A red aura slowly beginning to build around his body. Swinging his hips forward to bring his lower body to his forefront, he would push his leg forward with a kick as the thrusters on each leg would burst with flame. Giving the aura around him an orange tint as the eyes of his mask shone brightly.

In a flash, the entire world become black and white as the silhouette of the tigers body would be shot through by a stream in the shape of a small bullet. After a few seconds, the bullet would erupt with red light that would burn away the effects on the world as Geats would kick through it all. Shooting down towards the Earth with his foot digging into it slightly. His legs steaming upon the landing.

Behind him, the tiger would erupt with bright colored lights. Its body bulging and contorting in various manners before finally it burst into a massive explosion.

As the heat of the explosion washed over, Geats would raise his hand over his hip to take a pose.

As it all became said and done, Geats would pull at the two trinkets from either end of his Driver, releasing his transformation and taking a sigh of relief. Lifting the Boost up, he would begin to raise it until he heard a voice calling out to him.

"HAJIMEEEEE‼"

Placing his hand over the Boost, Hajime swung his head in the direction of the voice to see Chiaki and Makoto running towards him.

"Eh!? Chiaki, what're you bringing him here for? Go back to the safe zone."

"No... Hajime..." As the two stopped in their running, the girl had hunched over, taking a few heavy breaths. Running was certainly not her strong suit. "I have... Something... To tell you."

"Uh, can it wait...? I'm, kinda in the middle of something-" Hajime turned to his side, his arms beginning to shake.

"With what? Isn't the battle over?" Makoto asked, looking around the area.

"No, it's not that. It's something else." Seeing that Makoto was about to step forward, he raised out a hand towards the young man, "Stop! Don't come any closer!"

"All of the Jyamato are gone, though. What could possibly be-"

"Shit!"

From Hajime's hand, the Boost would literally fire out from it as the boosters inside of the trinket were flared up. Shooting it through the air like a rocket which would fly straight into Makoto's face, throwing him to the ground before it spun in the air above him and flew off towards the horizon.

"OW‼" Makoto cried out, to which Hajime gave a light shrug.

"I tried to warn you."

Lifting his gaze toward the recovering Chiaki, Hajime would step forward with a light frown. The girl standing herself upright to match his gaze. Makoto, rubbing his hands over his forehead where he was struck would let out a few groans of pain in the silence between the two.

"What was it you needed to tell me, Chiaki?"

"That guy over there?" Chiaki nudged her head towards Makoto, who began to sit up in time of her speaking, "He knows Monokuma."

"O...kay, a little weird for a non-participant, but there have been cases like that." Hajime bobbed his head to the side lightly, pocketing his hands gently, "What makes him so special?"

"No, Hajime. You're not listening to me." Chiaki stepped forward, grabbing onto Hajime's shoulders and shaking him back and forth rapidly, "He doesn't just know about Monokuma like we do. He knows more. He's seen Monokuma, in person!"

After the shaking was completed and Hajime was given a moment to process the words, his body would fully swing in the direction of Makoto, his eyes widening.

"He might be the key..."

Makoto lowered his hands as he turned toward Hajime, about to speak but pausing as he noticed blue flickers of light starting to emerge from the ground. Standing up quickly, he looked around his surrounding area.

From what he could hear, it sounded almost like... Bells?

"What's... What's going on?"

"Right now? The world is being remade..." Hajime stepped forward, gently placing his hand over the young man's shoulder.

"The world's being remade...? How is that possible?" Makoto questioned back, his eyes widening.

"We don't know how." Chiaki stepped forward beside Makoto, her hands behind her back, "But whenever we drive back the Jyamato, the world around us changes. Back to the way it should be..."

"To the way... It should be."

Blinking as he noticed it a bit too quiet besides the ringing of the bells, he looked around to see the pair were no longer standing beside him. Swinging his body around, he saw them walking off.

"H-huh!? Where are you two going?"

Pausing, Hajime would turn back, tilting his head lightly. "Sorry, I thought you were already coming along."

"I wouldn't have known you were going if I didn't notice just now!"

"Right, right." Hajime would give a light nod, nudging his head to usher Makoto to come along, "Not much use just standing here. Come on. we can talk when we get back."

"Get back where?"

"When we get back!" Hajime reinforced.

A small sigh escaped from Makoto's lips, him stepping forward to follow behind the duo. The city around them seeming to regenerate around them as they walked.

{What I wasn't aware of that day... Was that, because of these two, my life had forever been changed from that day onward.}

Behind them, sitting on a rooftop was a small bear similar to Monokuma. However, instead of being black on its left side, it was red bodied with a black eye. Around its neck being a long grey scarf held in place by a silver star. A pacifier in its mouth.

When a wash of blue light flashed over, the bear had vanished from where it perched.

[The world as we know it has been drastically changed... This, is a story of how we restore that lost order.}

›This took so much longer than I was honestly hoping for it to. I ended up a lot more busy with life than I thought I would be and many things ended up holding me back. Though? I'm not down and out with this one just yet.
›I knew from the moment Episode 1 of Geats dropped I wanted to make a story of some kind about it. Then, when I was running through all the possibilities, I peered into the current crossovers for Geats and I was like no one did Danganronpa so here we are. The setup for the series is just too in line with Geats's motif to pass up.
As for those who have already checked out the trailer and have questions about the Rider lineup? I can assure you that it is not based on Kamen Rider Geats. When it comes to the Riders and motivations behind each Rider, there is a different scale by which I've determined who gets what. By the way, the full list of Riders has already been written out. So, I already know who gets what. Yes, expect a lot of original Riders.
