Bethesda walks in the streets of Leanbox, its the evening, he looks at his phone looking at a certain address "10 of the ATI street."
He walks over a few building looking at the numbers on the top of them until he finally reach the tenth one. He look up at the inter-phone and scrolls the apartments names until he see's Yvoire one
He rings and a few moments after the building door is unlocked, and so he head inside of it and head for the elevator
At the same moment… Yvoire is sitting on a rectangular table, on the edge, there is also there other people on the side. First a rather short man (for leanboxians standards), on the opposite a woman, both have military uniform, the woman have a green and brown one, the man have a green and light blue one
On a second row, there is a well dressed man with a mustache and a hat, and then an empty chair
"So can we start now?" The military man asks
TERRENCE CUNNINGHAM

"Hold on there is another person that have to join us." Yvoire responds
"I guess this must also be an important figure." the woman says
ENSEMBLE STUDIOS

"Tis have to be right?" The mustache man adds

"We can say like that…" Yvoire responds
BEEP BEEP
The sound of the intercom is heard trough the apartment, Yvoire start to gets up but the man with the hat gesture him to stay down, he gets instead to the entrance of the apartment and see the inventor on the screen of it, he wave at the camera
"Him? He is part of the plan?!" He thinks but he remember that it would be better to ask to be sure "I see a scientist, I don't remember his name, I think it start by B..."
"Bethesda… Let him enter."
Bethesda get to the apartment, it seem to be perfectly or near perfectly clean and very well organised, there also some luxury items around, which contrasts with his current apartment even tough he basically have a maid robot
[Shortly after...]
Everyone is sitting around the table
Yvoire coughs before starting to speak up "So, everyone know why I called all of you here?"
"Actually no. you just said it was important when we arrived here." Bethesda says
"This young man is right, I think the first thing is to at least give us the motive of this emergency meeting." Turquoise says while touching his mustache
"So… Chika is going to free the political prisoners soon, we must act very quickly." Yvoire says
"She planed to do that?!" Ensemble reacts with a bit of impulsion
"Source?" Terrence asks
"A intern of the Basilicom warned me about that." Yvoire explains "343ind was told about that information and reported it to me."
"I heard of her, she's a pretty serious and reliable woman." Ensemble says
"That name, it reminds me something..." Bethesda thinks
"Of course, she didn't managed to takes the lead of the RRoD just by slacking off." Terrence says
"Wasn't because the previous captain resigned form his post?" Yvoire asks
"You're right." Terrence responds
"Uhm, anyway, can we go back on the main subject?" Asks Bethesda
Yvoire coughs before he restarts to speak "Uhm… Yes, about that, I think we will have to directly intervene."
No ones responds for a moment, until Turquoise asks something
"And how exactly?" And so asks the aristocrat
"I thought of overthrowing her, and resolve the crisis by myself to lose less time than possible."
A feeling of an electroshock went trough the living room as he said that "WHAT?!" Everyone exclaims
"You don't think that its out of proportion?" Asks Ensemble
"I really think its gonna make the situation worse." Comments Turquoise
"It won't be the case. We will crack down on these terrorists in less than a week. Gargan in less than 7 days." Yvoire responds
Ensemble thinks about it and share her thoughts "It actually may be possible to do so after all. I don't think they are fully organized yet. It just happened yesterday after all." she then states
"I approve that." Terrence responds
"But, can we at least attempt to convince Chika to not free the prisoners?" Turquoise asks
Bethesda sighs "Unfortunately I doubt it, I know her. She's pretty stubborn, she will only change her mind when it will be too late. I know what I'm talking about." He adds along
"He's right… Even if she change her mind on freeing the prisoners, she can still make another mistake that cause further turmoil." Yvoire says
"I think we can at least still try to make her do what we want. In normal time she would only obey to Vert or just herself, but in times of crisis like these..."
"So like a puppet?" Turquoise asks
"I wouldn't say that but that's kinda the idea."
"Okay, Bethesda, you will attempt to firstly convince her to back down on freeing the political prisoners. If she refuses contact me on my phone to warn me about it. We are taking care of the rest form that point." Yvoire says
"…Sure." Bethesda responds as he start to get up of his chair "I will take go right now to talk with her."
Yvoire raises his arm "Not now, do it in the morning instead."
Bethesda slowly lowers back on the chair
"...But you are free to go now." Yvoire finishes his sentence
Bethesda rise again form the chair and then leaves the apartment, he get on the streets, and walk back to the Basilicom, he make it to the main entrance, he sighs before entering in, since its the end of the day, there isn't a lot of people inside. It will sure make the navigation easier...
In the mean time, Chika herself is reviewing the state of the army trough the screen of a computer, especially if there is reports of mass desertion, luckily, well if we can call that luck, most of desertion where isolated cases and it only reports to a few hundred of them in at maximal. A bit problematic for sure but not for the military forces on Gamindustri with nearly 1 million of personnel in all branches of the army combined
Knock Knock
"Ugh." sighs Chika "Finally someone who knocks on the doors." She thinks
"Enter." she says, she's a bit disappointed when she discover who entered the office "Oh, it's you. What is it for this time?"
"I just came to suggest you to not release the popular party prisoners."
"...Why? That's everything Alex wants, If we do a compromise, then things wont escalate further."
"But we can't let them go away like that."
"For now, we don't have any clues that prove that its them who were behind the massacre. Imprisoning them was a huge mistake in the first place. I'm not making another one. Vert wouldn't do that. Its what I planed to do."
"And what will happen if it was them ho caused this? You want this to repeat again?"
"Nothing will happen Bethesda. Stop worrying about things like these, you are not longer in the military. Do I have to remind you and have not authority on me?"
"Its just a suggestion."
"Exactly. And scientists shouldn't make political suggestions. Know your role"
They both stare at each other for a minute and then, Bethesda turns back and head to the door
"Okay then. Nice evening." Bethesda says as he leaves the room
"You too." Chika says without looking back at him, back on her computer screen
Moments later. Yvoire looks at the news on his TV, showing a report of the situation at Gargan city. Showing a mildly organized militia moving around the city riding some technical with various weapons mounted on them ranging to heavy machines guns to auto cannons, one of them have a I.F.V turret mounted and discussing with people about the situation.
"So as you can see the situation is getting pretty tense here, luckily they let us do our report over whats happening here. Let's interview this passerby." The journalist walks to the passerby "Excuse me mam. Whats your opinion on the current situation of the city."
"Well, we hope that thing goes back to normal, my kids are scarred and confused of what will happens next. But otherwise nothing else have changed here since only 1 day passed."
Ding
Yvoire hears the sound of his phone on a desk behind the couch in front of the TV, he turns back and attmps to reach the phone
Crack
"Ah fuck Shit! ow ow!" Yvoire just cracked his arm due to extending it. Casual problem for old people…
So he get up no without difficulties, but finally reaches the phone and see a message of Bethesda saying:
"She refused, not a big surprise."
Yvoire texts back: "Okay, its okay, you did what you could, she always been stubborn anyway. Hold up, i told you to do it in the morning."
"Whatever, its a gain of time what i just did."
"No its because the army is not totally prepared but, okay we will do with the ones ready."
"Ugh, forgeiners, well then B plan." Yvoire thinks as he searches trough his phone contacts, he know what he have to do now
[Meanwhile…]
Bethesda returns to his apartment, like yesterday, Id is watching the TV, but this time, its a natural documentary about the fauna of Lowee, its currently showing a white fenrir running after a moose
"I'm back." The scientist says as he enters the apartment
Id turns back to see her adoptive brother "Hello. You had another thing to do?"
"Yes." He go sits next to Id "So what are you watching?"
"Just a documentary."
"Let me guess, its Lowee?"
"Of course, I don't know any other area with so much snow."
"Form what I've heard, there sometimes snow in Leanbox and other nations, but only in winter and sometimes there is no a single drop of snowflakes."
"Okay… Actually I have noticed that there is less and less snow, why?" Id says as she turns to Bethesda
"Global warming due to Lastation massive factories and other industrial zones, it caused a very slight increase in temperature." Bethesda responds while looking at the documentary
"Oh. Just a little increases caused that."
"Yeah, you can't imagine how impactful this is, this is also enough to cause some species to go extinct."
"Interesting to know... I guess." Id responds and looks back at the TV screen
The Fenrir is now eating the moose, the image is pretty graphic but for the adoptive siblings, its barely anything to them.
"Dang I hope they don't show these to children." Bethesda says
"Uh, they would have seen similar scene early or late anyway. Especially with what happened this week."
"...Yeah and I think things are gonna get worse unfortunately."
"Worse, like how?"
"..." Bethesda thinks about what to say before responding "I don't know."
Id looks at Bethesda and looks back at the TV, they both look at the TV for a moment
"So, we are gonna eat?"
Id nods
[Meanwhile… In another area of the city…]
Yvoire once again looks at the city, expressionless as usual, he then takes a look at his phone, and sends a message to Ensemble
"The time as come, are you troops ready?"
After a few seconds, she responds
"Ready."
"Execute the operation, now."
In the edge of the city, a woman is running trough the streets, with speakers on her head blasting music, she heavily breathes to keep up her pace, she eventually make it to a pedestrian crossing, she runs in place to not lose her cardio
The traffic light are green as the lights of the basilicom on the moment, so she have no choice but to wait until all of the cars passes
But the problem is that there is no only cars that are passing trough…
She in fact get confused by the presence of a few APC's and MRAP types vehicles and a main battle tank passing by her
The convoy of vehicles heads towards the Basilicom, a smaller group split up form them.
At the Basilicom, Chika leave her office and leave a tired sigh "Now, the prisoners."
But even tired she couldn't ignore the loud sound of engines outside of the basilicom, she looks outside and see the vehicle
"What they are doing? I wasn't warned of anythin-"
"Its normal." Ensemble walks towards her with some troppers
"Can you explain what all of this mean?!" Chika responds infuriated
"This is a coup d'état lady Hakozaki."
"What?! And what were the guards doing?"
"They surrendered and should you do. Don't worry Yvoire don't have any plan on executing you, you are just gonna be under house of arrest until the crisis is resolved."
Chika use her magic to summon her spear in her hands "And you think it will be that I will let you usurp the one who have been chosen by Vert herself." She points her spear at the general
Ensemble responds by raising her hand, all the troops points their assault rifles at the Oracle, finger on the trigger, safety off
Chika smirks she quickly twist her spear getting in to a battle position, but suddenly, she feels something annoying her eyes, like there is a projector that is blinding her, she gives a glance outside…
The vehicles outsides are pointing their spotting light right at her, but not only that… They are also pointing machines guns and auto cannons and of course the tank cannon right at her
Her eyes widens and she have some sweats drops
"You are still sure that you want to fight? Do you still want to prove that you are Green Sister or something like that?" Ensemble says with her arm still raised
BETHESDA APARTMENT
A DOZEN OF MINUTES AFTER THE COUP
Bethesda and Id are currently having dinner in the kitchen, while the TV is running in the living room
"So how was the time you worked with Activision?" Bethesda asks to Id
"The mercenary? Well nothing in particular." Id responds
"Nothing? There is anything interesting that happened?"
"Well, its always the same thing, we get a contract, we go somewhere, we do what we have to do."
"So really like that? So then what how were your relation inside of the group?"
"…My relation were largely fine, expect with that kid."
Bethesda raises en eyebrow "Kid?"
Id pauses for a few seconds before responding "Actually I think it was a late teenager, he hated that people called him "Bob" For some reason."
"Oh… That's everything?"
"Yeah, he was the magician of the group, there were also a hacker and the other two where gunslingers, and the last one was the commander Activision himself."
"I see."
"Well we were originally 6 but one of the squad member died before reaching Lowee but I don't really know why."
"Probably in combat, no?"
"When Activision is asked upon the circumstances he always bring up a different reason, like if he's hiding something."
"Maybe, he's a maker mercenary after all, not a goddess."
"Actually I hardly see how man could become a CPU. Is that even possible?"
"…Neither a I do. The probability must be incredibly low then."
"INCREDIBILITY LOW?" RL-3 walks in "WITH THE YEARS AND THE NUMBERS THAT THE GODDESS HAVE BEEN AT GAMINDUSTRI, NEVER ANYONE HAVE BEEN A MALE."
"Fair." The adoptive siblings responds
The debate is ended by the TV
"We are interrupting the current program for an emergency report!"
Id and Bethesda looks at the direction of the living room, RL-3 ignores it
"An interruption? On a documentary channel?" Id asks
"It must be important then!" Bethesda responds
They both go to the living room, leaving RL-3 there, the robots proceeds to put the plates in the dish washer and clean the room. The two makers looks at the TV…
The TV newscaster seems stressed and worried
"Uh… Yes, so tonight, the Basilicom got intruded by a part of the military force..." He says as videos of the military in the streets "...This event was, well at least according to the general who caused it "A necessary intervention due to the incompetence of the current Oracle of the nation and the previous one will be restored for the time being until the crisis is properly solved."
The screens change to a journalist near the Basilicom, where the perimeter is blocked by the military force who doesn't really seem to pay attention to her, just a trooper in background looking at them with her weapon in hand
"So as you can see I'm currently in front of the basilicom. There is also a few other journalists form various other medias, even some independent ones." She says, there is also another conversation nearby that can't be properly heard
The conversation in question gets louder as she talk and a few seconds after the journalist finished talking she looks on her left, the cameraman points the camera to where she looks…
Its now filming two people, one who seem like a journalist and his cameraman being taken away by a squad of troopers pointing their weapons at them, the trooper who were in background intervene…
"Don't film that!" She says approaching them and trying to put her hand on the camera
The camera is pulled away and now records the ground, a dirty ground by the way
"Where they are being taken, and why?" The journalist asks
"Its not your business! Keeps what you were doing like nothing happened!"
"But!.."
"I said stop!" The troopers yells but is quickly cut off
The TV suddenly turns off and so does the lights in the apartment... And everything that work on electricity basically
"What?" Bethesda asks
"I think there is power outage."
Bethesda gets up and goes look at the window, the whole city gone black
"Looks like its isn't only us."
Id gets up and go take a look outside
"You think its the military?" Id asks
"Probably." Bethesda responds
"...That's strange, I expected you to be a bit more surprised by what just happened." Id points out
Bethesda thinks for a few seconds before responding "...Everything can happen in those times. A-and Imma go sleep, everything is gonna be back up tomorrow I guess." He say as he head out of the living room
Id just shrugs and lays down on the couch
When Bethesda reach his room, he closes the door and get his phone, then calls Histoire attempts to calls Histoire, but he forgot to see that the connection also got cut, he sighs and goes to sleep
LEANBOX
GARGAN CITY - CITY HALL
AT THE SAME MOMENT
Alex is sitting at is desk, he is illuminating the room with his phone light while looking at the time
A woman enters the room with a lamp
"Comrade, we got news about the Leanbox gouvernement." She says to the leader of the revolt
"Bad or good?" Alex asks
"Bad, there was a coup at the Basilicom, no one died tough."
"And whose behind it?"
"Form the information we have, it was Yvoire who staged it with the support of a part of the millitary."
"This is not only bad, this is VERY bad! If that reactionary grampa took over the Basilicom then we must expect a incoming attack! Tell everyone to get ready for war!"
"Yes comrade!" She says as she quickly leaves the room
"Shit! Shit! i hope this didn't happen" Alex says as he picks up his stuff and runs out of the room
[Meanwhile… At the Basilicom]
A military car drive to the Basilicom, its stops and a trooper opens the door, Yvoire steps out of the vehicle and is welcomed by two lines of infantry soldiers on the side of the car, all of them standing at attention, there is still a few journalist filming the arrival of the former oracle
"I cant see anything past 2 meter." He comments
"Go straight forward sir." A military officer say
He walks towards the building, after a few meters he see's the oracle and the general with a few troopers in front of him, Chika is cuffed yet show a serious face challenging the stare of the old man
"What are you even doing?" Chika asks to him
"Simple, I'm going to save Leanbox form those heretics." Yvoire responds
"You know what you just organized is treason? Only Vert can remove an oracle and chose someone else to take its place?"
"Unfortunately, Vert is not longer here, and I will make sure she'll come back safely. After I got rid of the inner threat."
"Really, I want to see you."
"At the point we are its hard to make it worse. Don't worry I got more experience than you."
"More experience? What do you mean? The people know that you are usurper."
Yvoire leans towards Chika "No Chika, I'm just retaking my former role." He then stands back and looks to Ensemble "Take her away."
The troopers start to bring her towards the car, Chika sighs and some tears start to run down on her cheeks, she looks down and closes are eyes then whispers "I'm really sorry... Vert. I screwed up..."
Ensemble and Yvoire goes in the building, Turquoise is waiting for them inside
"You took a while mister, do you plan you giving a speech now?" Turquoise asks
"Not now, it will be complicated with the blackout, I'll do one this morning. Make sure the medias gives a positive view on this take over, some people in your family own a good number of them so it won't be hard to make the citizens knows that all of this Is necessary." Responds the old man
"Are you also sure that the rest of the army will not try to desert?" Ensembles asks
"I've planned something about this."he responds
"Okay, we also took care of "problematic" journalists."
"The ones that leans towards the popular party opinion?"
"Yes."
"Good, good. We cant let them spread their propaganda."
"But wait a minute… I have question." Turquoise asks
"Yes?" Yvoire responds
"What is your plan in case a part of the army turn against us actually."
"I planed to call over some PMC's as reinforcements, I already got some names in head one of them coming back to my memory, someone who fought at Lowee..."
LASTATION
MIDGARD CITY OUTSKIRTS
A man dressed with a jacket and a pair of pants and bonnie hat. He walks in the street of a neighborhood in middle of an evening without stars, which is usual for any areas in Lastation due to the light pollution of the cities of the industrial nation… Well still better than having smogs...
He enters his home, a pretty nice looking villa, the lights are on and we can see the man reveals himself and remove his hat, he looks in the mid 30s and have a short black hair and have a full beard and a pair of blue eyes. He's visibly tired
"I'm home honey." He says with a deep voice as he remove his jacket
"His name: Activision." Yvoire says

It was a little while since the last chapter, well the reasons for the lack of chapter was simply because i was busy with life in general, i'm still a student, so yeah less time to work on it, i'm actully worried that i will maybe never be able to finish this story even tough i think that it will end around chapters 70-100 at least if i got time to finish it.
I was also considering to stop the fanfic but continue into a fancomic instead so i can practice more in drawing which is something that i enjoy more than just wirting and also for another project but I'm not sure about it. But if i do so i will stop the fanfic after this volume.
So about the next chapter will be introducing Activision and his mercenary squad, they aleready appeared in the first extra and so they will be more developed. It won't only be it but you guys will see once it will come... One day
