Chapter 6

((I may catch a bit of backlash from some fans about changing certain things here, but a heads up, I change a few things about their past lives here. So, here goes. I hope everyone enjoys! Please comment and let me know your thoughts! Both positive and negative. =D ))

No longer in Rei's room, they found themselves transparent and in what appeared to be a field. As they looked around they saw in the distance five figures standing before five large beasts, the gods.

"What you will be shown here will only be the memories from mine and Katsuro's point that we were there for." The voice echoed to the others from inside the ball of energy. They watched as the five warriors looked up unto the gods.

"Do you five accept the destiny and fate that is bestowed to you? If you agree, then reach out and take hold of your futures." The golden dragon spoke as the five reached out to the jewels floating before them. There was a tortoise shell jewel that was green, a sapphire dragon head jewel, a white tiger with black markings on the face, a golden dragon head, and a familiar phoenix shaped jewel. "From hear on, you five will be given the mission to protect this world from chaos. You will also be charged with the duties to protect the princesses of the moon kingdom. Zeo, you will look after princess serenity, and prince Endymion." They all nodded, taking hold of the jewels.

As they grasped the jewels, their bodies were transformed into armored forms. The gods then dispersed, leaving the warriors standing there. "You five were given your powers then took on the responsibilities to protect the princesses. However, you all soon came to find out that it was more than just a duty to you." There was a flash of light, they now saw the four interacting with the Sailor Guardians and Serenity. The knight belonging to the golden dragon was no where to be found, Zeo had not come with the other four.

"Why does the knight assigned to me not show? Does he find distaste with me? I feel like…he does not care for me or my presence." Princess Serenity had a sadness to her voice. Just as always, she longed more than anything to get along with everyone. "Ever since I began seeing Endymion, it seems my knight, our knight, harbors ill feelings towards us." Her hand placed over her heart.

"I…apologize for Zeo." The redhaired knight spoke up. He wore black boots with black dress pants worn by a soldier of that time, a red silk long sleeved button up shirt. "I'm sure everything is alright, as of late, he seems to be dealing with a few things himself. Though, I do find it strange. He often seems to go off on his own and not letting us know what plans he makes or what he's up to…it does worry me if I'm being honest." Just then, two arms linked around his arm, gentle hands holding onto it as he was pulled close to a figure with raven hair, a head gently resting on his shoulder.

"My sweet knight, you always worry about others. Especially your comrades. It's that quality I value most about you." The girl's sweet voice spoke, violet eyes gazing up into his blue eyes. It was Sailor Mars, Princess Mars. "My princess, I'm sure its nothing to do with you. There's no one around that could possibly resist your kind and sweet personality." Mars reassured Serenity.

"Yeah, you know Zeo. He's always been more of a loner anyway. I'm sure he'll eventually come around. It took him a while to warm up to the idea to leading us and letting us in too." A white-haired boy spoke, with golden yellow eyes. He wore clothes similar to the other, but with a white shirt "You worry yourself too much. Live in the moment and enjoy the company of these gorgeous maidens that have given us time out of their VERY busy days to spend time with us." As he spoke, a blond-haired girl with blue eyes sat down in front of him then leaned into his arms.

"Oh, you always know just what to say don't you tiger?" She asked, kissing his cheek. It was Sailor Venus. "I'm sure he's right though Princess Serenity. They know him more than we do, just relax and go see Endymion." She winked.

"Knight of Suzaku does raise a valid point though. We have a duty to all of you. Zeo should be here watching over Princess Serenity. We were given these powers from the gods with the mission to protect the princesses and to uphold peace and justices on this planet. He does seem to be absent quite a lot as of late." The figure looked up from a book he was reading. He had black hair with emerald eyes. His clothes also the same, however, he wore a dark green silk shirt.

Back to back with him, sat a familiar blue haired female, Sailor Mercury. "It is the same thing we have to Princess Serenity, so I do see where you come from. There should be no excuse for skipping out on your sworn duty." She was reading a book as well, enjoying a peaceful afternoon with her knight.

"I don't know. Something just feels…wrong." The crimson haired knight spoke again. "I can't explain it, but I'm worried about him. He isn't like the rest of us. He lets his desire and lust fuel and push him. Yes, he is our leader, but he fights more for himself." He explained as Princess Mars placed a hand on his cheek.

"You have instincts similar to mine, don't you? A sixth sense, correct? I've felt the same lately. I can't explain it, but it feels like something, dark, lurks around just around the corner." Her voice was more solemn.

"Heh, I wouldn't worry. If anything happens, I'm sure we can squash it with no problem." Long blue hair flowed in the wind as he broke away from a kiss with the brunette Sailor Guardian. Her hand was grasped onto his blue silk shirt at his chest. She looked up at him in a daze then shook her head to snap out of it.

"Yes, all of us together are more than enough if we all ban together. Isn't that right, my love?" She asked, gazing back up into his eyes. They kissed again.

"Wait, I remember things differently. This never happened. Where's Jaedite? Where's the Shitennou?!" Sailor Mars asked as they watched the scene before them. "Who are these men? Why are Katsuro and I together?!" Everything was so confusing for her. Was this some trick? Something made up to confuse them?

"I know this is hard and strange to take in, but I promise, all will be revealed in time." Suzaku's voice echoed.

The scenery changed yet again to the two knights by themselves. There was a heated conversation going on between them. The golden armored knight clearly seemed to be worked up over something and almost erratic in behavior. "You all don't get it do you?! We have the power to shape this world how we desire it! We have the ability to rule over all ourselves as gods! Yet we waste our time protecting helpless damn princesses and keeping peace over the weak and pathetic." Venom filled his voice, his golden yellow hair flowed behind him in the wind.

"Zeo! What has brought all of this on? Lately you've been disappearing off on your own and shrugging off all your duties…" The knight assigned to Mars tried to remain calm in diffusing the situation.

"Rule as gods? What sort of insane talk is this? Gods already exist to look over this world. They chose us as vessels for their powers to keep the peace, to protect those princesses, the Sailor Guardians. They aren't weak and pathetic, nor are they helpless. You would know that if you took the time to spend with them and get to know them all." The phoenix knight explained, now visibly getting angered when defending the princesses.

"You tell me you are content being Suzaku's LAPDOG?! When we could have more power?! We could rule this world and crush all who oppose us! We could tear down Silver Millenium and still have those women loyal at our sides to worship up. There would be nothing to stop us." Just then his throat was met with an orange bladed sword.

"Watch your damn tongue." The redhaired knight's voice filled with emotion and anger.

"She told me the rest of you would be too weak to do what needs to be done." His voice growled as he backed away from the blade pointed at him, knocking it away.

"Who told you that? Just who the hell have you been going to see with all this secrecy?!" He yelled as a shadowy substance surrounded Zeo.

"You'll just have to find out. All…in…due…time…" He began to sink into the ground with a twisted smirk creeping onto his face. His golden hair slowly turned into a dark black, his blue eyes began to have a red glow to them.

"That's…definitely a red flag." His voice almost seemed to go high pitched. "Zeo!" The boy called, jumping to the shadow, but he was gone. "Something isn't right. I have to warn the others. There was a certain darkness, and evil aura over him. But that wasn't his. There's something, someone else behind all of this. One thing is for sure. I'm getting to the bottom of this." With that, he began to take off to find the other three.

"I'm so confused…where are the heavenly knights? And this Zeo, how come we never heard of him?" Usagi questioned as they continued to watch the events before them unfold.

Katsuro continued to watch everything closely. "So, you're saying I was in love with…Rei's past self? And if this Zeo was going so…dark side, how the hell did we stop this? Or did we even stop it?" He questioned.

"You were first to be weary of how he was changing. You tried to warn the others…however…" Suzaku began to describe as the scenery changed.

"What do you mean you won't join me in fighting Zeo!?" The redhaired knight exclaimed. "I'm TELLING you he was talking about attacking the moon kingdom and did this whole evil sinking into the ground thing!" He yelled to the other three.

"I'm just saying we should speak with him together first. We shouldn't be jumping to conclusions and starting fights amongst ourselves. That was one thing the gods warned us of. Never escalate a battle, especially between allies." Calm and collective as ever, the warrior chosen by Genbu spoke to try and ease his concerns.

"You didn't SEE what I did! His eyes turned red! His hair turned black! There's another power at play here pulling the strings, I think. We need to be banding together to find the cause of all of this before its to late." The knight of Suzaku spoke, his voice filled with emotion and worry.

"Well, if he's getting out of line. Let him pull whatever shit he's going to. We'll take care of him. My power would be MORE than enough to put him down." The knight of Seiryu boasted.

The knight chosen by Byakko gave a nervous laugh. "Ok, calm down there. But I get his point. If anything happens. I doubt he can take on all four of us. Let's just get council from the gods and bring him in front of everyone to give him a chance to tell us his side." His demeanor was nonchalant and laid back.

"You fools! If you had seen what I did, you wouldn't be taking this so lightly. This calls for action. NOW, before something happens, and things get out of hand." Katsuro's past self then turned away from everyone. "Fine, deal with everything how you all see fit. I'll handle things my way then." With that, he took off, leaving the other three to gaze on in confusion and concern.

"Hey…does something about this seem, I don't know, familiar?" Rei asked after studying the change in Zeo. "Its just now dawning on me, but he said 'She' told him." Her eyes glanced to Usagi and the others.

"Wait, you don't mean, you think that means…her? Do you?" Minako questioned.

"Metalia…" Usagi whispered with a gasp. Her hand placed over her mouth; her eyes teared up. This was just like Metalia to corrupt and outside source to gain what she wanted. Flashbacks of Beryl under that control and the power bestowed unto her by Metalia filled her mind.

Ami looked at her friend then to Rei. "The way he suddenly changed, the darkness that corrupted him. It certainly fits. Suzaku?" She questioned to try and confirm their suspicions.

"You would be correct in assuming that she was behind this. Metalia had worked her corruption into Zeo, giving him more of the power he desired to obtain his goals. What she placed in motion, would lead to their demise." Suzaku spoke in an ominous tone as they continued to watch the memories from the past.

"The others wont listen to me, I have only one option left…" He turned his gaze into the sky at the moon. "It is forbidden by law for me or outsiders to be on the moon. Its looked down upon, and most certainly breaking code by me jumping chain of command to just go there by myself. But I have to try. I can't leave them in the dark…especially Princess Mars." He grapsed his jewel in his hand. "Guardian Teleport!" He called out as a pillar or orange light came down on him, he began to rise from the ground and soar towards the moon.
